Great Location- close to town and good fishing right around the resort.

Unprofessional. Rude and short tempered when issues come up. Not worth it

Our group of 11 has stayed in the cabins at Birch Island for 10 years straight, during Memorial Weekend. We have made SO many wonderful memories there. When new owners took over we tried to give them the benefit of the doubt that the legacy would continue. Unfortunately between the price hikes, poor upkeep, closing of the bar/grill permanently, and terrible communication, we will not be returning and are taking our business elsewhere. I don't usually write reviews, but this has been heartbreaking and we feel so bad for the Virnig Family that put their blood sweat and tears into such a wholesome family business. RIP Birch Island!

I actually grew up at this location and have been back a handful of times. That nature will calm you instantly. The area is blessed with natural woods to provide privacy for all guess.

Always have a great time here. Can't wait to come back!

Just moved to the area and had a great time chatting with Holly and her guests.

We ate at the restaurant and the hostess/waitress was the best. We were in Bayfield.2 days earlier and the 2 girls there that had the same job/responsibilities couldn't hold a candle to the one at Birch Island even though they were half her age. Good service gets you repeat customers.! Great job

One of our favorite placed to go. The food Is amazing, the service is excellent. The staff is running around like crazy to keep everyone happy. The steak sandwich is the best I've ever had!!

Great people! Hard working! Huge portions and delicious too. Neat, clean bar, dining rooms. Standard north woods resort format, and that is as it should be.

Best fish fry I've had in a long time! Come hungry. Come happy. Huge plates so don't worry about portions or how many peices of fish you will receive. Very inexpensive as well for the portion size. Busy place on a Friday night and understaffed (isn't everyone these days) so sit down at the bar, have a cocktail, and enjoy the Northwoods.

We stop there every year when we are visiting Phillips, Wisconsin. The food is delicious and fresh and Holly and Dan are the best! Go there you won't be disappointed.

No matter what you order on the menu-it is cooked to perfection with flavors that make you come back! Absolutely 100% a 5 star restaurant. Beautiful views, excellent staff, and you can enjoy the surrounding wildlife. It was on my bucket list to get a pizza and it was amazing. Adding a steak to my bucket list before I leave.😎

This is our forth year staying at Birch Island Resort. We love it here.

Delicious fish and soup. Waitresses not only efficient and friendly but fastest working service people we have ever seen while waiting on customers.

Holly and Dan play host to our large gathering of friends and family every year for our annual Fall Musky Classic. The food is always great, the staff is always friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is northwoodsy. We will never stop visiting Birch Island!

Food was great, beer was cold, and there were games for the kids to play. Docked our boat and walked right in.

Spent a long weekend there this past summer. We really enjoyed the stay. Cabins right on the lake with private dock and beach landing.

Very pretty location! Can get there by boat or car. The pizzas at Birch Island are one of my favorites. Staff is very nice!

A wonderful place very clean with Great people! We have stayed in the Cabins once, while snowmobiling and always stop by for Steak Dinner on Saturday nights while in the area. Great Place! Great Food! and Awesome Hosts!
