Man.... This po boy didn't disappoint. I had the shrimp Po boy.... This is a small place so seating is limited. But the service is quick and easy. I will definitely be back when I come to this area!

Not all that no spice on anything being Cajuns like some on there food this had none.wasnt all good.

Bj's is a historical building in Broussard and the best poboys on the best french bread! Highly recommend the oyster, shrimp, or roast beef poboys. The plate lunches are very good too.

Always love a great fried shrimp po-boy, I live closer to BJ's than Old Tyme Grocery. Great taste, always consistent, still priced affordably . Great atmosphere, old building spectacular charm.....

While in town for Mardi Gras, the husband said we had to stop here cause it was one of his favorite places when he use to live in LA. And it was pretty good! The food was great! Those shrimp poorboys are hard to beat. I really wanted to try the OTF too but was told I couldn’t get half of that and half shrimp; can only get two fried choices for a half and half. So sad! But I have zero complaints about all shrimp! And the fries were delish. My only criticism is that the place is horribly crooked. The floor is falling in both directions and the tables lean like the world is trying to swallow it. Maybe just level out the tables attached to the walls for starters. Or maybe people just come here when they’re wasted and it feels straight to them?! I’d come back either way!

The brisket lunch plate was okay. The brisket was very tough and fatty. The mac and cheese was mushy. Good bread roll. My friends aaid their poboys have gotten skimpier sitting this economic depression.

Roundsteak rice and gravy with white beans and smothered cabbage. The roundsteak was tender and seasoned well but the rice was a bit clumpy. The white beans and smothered cabbage sides were very good. It really was a lot of food for a lunch portion so you really get your money's worth.

My husband and I absolutely love this place! Mine and my husbands favorite is the Old Tyme Special withthe potato wedges! Prices are great and the building is a cool little cafe type!

Was jonesing bad for a meatball poboy. What a disappointment. Meatballs were burnt BLACK on one side and tough but the sauce was SO peppered I couldn't eat it. Four bites was all I could take and I tossed it. Maybe i should just stick to shrimp poboys. Or maybe they should.

One word AMAZING!!!!!! staff food atmosphere all amazing. If in the area stop and if the have the cabbage side grab some you won't be sorry you did.

Stopped in today and enjoyed the hamburger plate special with a side of cabbage and peas. It was phenomenal and even came with a chocolate brownie topped with pecans. If you are ever in the area, don't hesitate to get yourself a great meal.

Had the shrimp crab and egg stew...it was fantastic...friendly help...great atmosphere.

Wonderful Staff! First time eating here and we got the crab cakes topped with shrimp and Ettouffee sauce and OMG! Soo good, and somehow different and more tasty and filling than crab cakes I've had elsewhere, not sure I could top this, not sure they always have it as it was the daily special, but if you get a chance to try it do! Family friendly!

Went there today for a shrimp po boy and it was well worth what we paid for it! It was very good & a half was filling for me because they don’t skimp on the shrimp. My new favorite place!

Thursday at 12pm went to BJ's in Broussard for the 1st time. Place was very busy, a lot of people sitting at tables engaged in friendly conversation. Smell of beef in the air. BJ's appeared as a clean well maintained eatery. Within a minute a man ( Owner ?) came and took my order which was a large Oyster Poboy and a order of Onion Rings. Poboy was juicy and packed with oysters. Delicious. One of the best I've had. The Homade Onion Rings were also absoloutly delicious. Make sure you order that on the side with your next meal. Overall the cleanliness, customer service, and the great tasting food gets 2 big thumbs up. Highly recommend you give them a shot and see what you think. A 1st time customer.

Excellent plate lunches and Poboys

BJ's is my favorite PoBoy place ever. Their PoBoy's are incredible. Their bread is the perfect mix of crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. And don't miss their plate lunches! Incredible value, you never leave hungry. The staff are incredibly friendly.

Love the po boys and the seafood plate on Fridays are really good.

Food was delicious...I ordered a shrimp and oyster poboy half and half...my only issue with my food was the oyster half had three clamshell pieces inside...I had to be careful biting into it...I love the taste of the food and it was delicious

The only thing I dislike about this place is how early they close! Every time I have gone they have gone above and beyond! My food is always amazing!

Great food, but the sanitation aspect isn’t up to standard in my opinion. No gloves were being used when touching bread, meats, vegetables, etc. I noticed there was no hand washing either, if the employees can improve on these standards then the restaurant would be A-1. Just food for thought.

Just came back from delivering Meals on Wheels. The wife and I stopped in for a quick bite. She had the grilled chicken salad, with diet coke, and I had the half poboy hamburger with a Barqs root beer. WOW! Everything was great! Will be back !

Good shrimp poboys if you go with fried, but I had a grilled shrimp poboy and they were skimpy on the shrimp.

Poboy was o.k. The meat was square pieces obviously from a pack and not fresh. Wasn't even deli meat, but packaged meat. Wasn't very impressed with the sandwich. The plate lunch my friend got had large portions, a chunk of bread, and a piece of cake. Left me feeling like I should have gone with the plate lunch rather than a poboy.

I just found this place last month. I was a Huge fan of Ole Time during my USL days and still continue to visit them. When I started working in Broussard I found them and my life is changed for the best. This place is not far off Hwy 90 and worth the drive. I have been eating the same thing since 1985. Shrimp with Pepper Jack Cheese! The others are good also but I'm stuck on this one. For years I would bring people not from here to Ole Time and they would freak out on this place. I find the BJ's to be less noisy. Great place to eat.

The staff and service are top notch!!! The shrimp poboy is phenomenal!!! I suggest going a little before noon if you want to dine in, as there is limited seating. They also offer take out...

Awesome poboys whether it's the grilled or fried shrimp (they give lots of fried shrimp) or fried oysters (delicious, but a little skimpy on quantity). My favorite is the turkey poboy with provolone and jalapenos. Their salad with all the lunch meats is also very good. I'm not a big fan of their plate lunches. I find them a bit bland. But, they are good sellers because they have run out. A group of us goes every Friday (usually 6, but sometimes up to 12 people). Yep, they are that good!

Just like Olde Tyme Grocery. It is actually another location of OTG. Bj's is only open for lunch. They do plate lunch specials each day at B's and they are GOOD.

BJ's employees are very polite, they have excellent customer skills. Everyone is so friendly here. But most of all the food is delicious. Thanks BJ for great service.

Excellent poboys. Just took some out-of-town family there before they leave. Their first poboy. They said it was the best meal they had had in Lafayette. Very pleasant experience. The quality is consistant and never disappointing. Try the Old Tyme Special. Amazing! The menu covers meats and seafood. No bad choices. The kid's menu is a hardy serving and the onion rings are wonderful. If you are in Broussard and hunger strikes, kill it at BJ's. It's the only way to go.

They now take credit cards!!!! We went again today and the shrimp poboy was perfection again. It had crispy, well seasoned fried shrimp, perfect bread with crispy crust and chewy flavorful texture and you don't ever have to search for the fillings here. Well worth a stop. If you don't like the poboy's here, you just don't like poboys anywhere.

Awesome food and friendly service. Great fried shrimp. Definitely worth a visit. They only take cash or check though. They do have an ATM on site if you forget your checkbook.
