Stopped at this German gem in Naples, on the way home to Cape Coral. I’d give it 6 stars if I could. The food was fantastic. The Early Bird entrees were excellent. I can’t rave enough about this place. It made my list of favorite restaurants. Sadly, I’ll have to drive 45 minutes for dinner, but it’s well worth it.

We had dinner at Black Forest with friends from Germany. The food was excellent including: Jagerschnitzel, Rouladen, and Sauerbraten.. Definitely looking forward to returning.

I can't say enough about this restaurant. The food is excellent, the people are friendly. Let me tell you a story, I accidently left my credit card and we didn't go back for a month and when we went back the server remembered me and brought me my credit card. They kept it safe for me for over a month! High integrity and excellent food!

I'm no expert but have been to few German places. Bonus points cause kids enjoyed their food of pretzel, bratwurst, schnitzel. Fun place to try to get European feel. We finished the food and kids were happy (dad alone w kids for wknd) so I was happy. Will be back!

Some of the best German food I have ever tasted outside of what my Oma used to make. Klaus, the owner, is so attentive and nice to talk to and the staff provides A+ service. The best beef rouladen in a restaurant setting I have ever had.

Came in for lunch and got one of the specials. It was so good. Chicken was perfectly cooked. Very happy. Will be coming here again:)

Not many places where you can get real German food.... don't know of any in Naples. Was with 4 people and everyone loved their meal.

Great schnitzel & homemade spaetzel. Complimentary strudel on Sun & Tues. Braised pork shank is phenomenal. They always try to seat people but make a reservation to ensure seating.

Mom and I had our Christmas dinner tonight at Black Forest. The food was delicious, the service was amazing & it was decorated so nicely. They are always consistent with the food and service & we see the same staff time and time again which is to me a good sign! Highly recommended!!!

Loved it. I had the sauerbrauten and the rest of us had schnitzel. Service was very quick and they started us off with water and bread without being asked. Always a good sign in my book!

Our community (Quincy Square) held our first Octoberfest on Friday 10/27, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to prepare a catering menu of authentic German cuisine for 70 attendees, The food was delicious! A special Thanks to Monika for helping our social Committee make our event so special.. FYI.. Left overs were sent to the Saint Mathew’s House helping to feed 114 being sheltered there, when they heard that the food was from the Black Forest, they were very grateful to accept… Thanks and regards, Jerry Osterhoudt ( Quincy Square President)

Really great and authentic food. We happened to come on a night where they were giving away free Apfel Strudel and it was SO good and a very generous portion! We'll be back!

This restaurant has the best tasting meals in the Naples area...bar none. Recommend everyone try it. I have eaten in Bavarian restaurants more than 100 times in recent travels. The Black Forest Restaurant in north Naples is equally as good.

Delicious German Food 😎😎😎 ... I recently visited Black Forest German Restaurant and was blown away by the authenticity of their dishes. In particular, I was delighted to try their Sauerbraten Beef, which was absolutely outstanding. The meat was perfectly tender and flavorful, and the accompanying gravy was rich and savory. I could tell that the beef had been marinated for a long time, as it had a complex depth of flavor that was truly remarkable. Overall, the Sauerbraten Beef was one of the best German dishes I have ever had, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and delicious meal. The Veal Schnitzel at Black Forest German Restaurant was also excellent. The breading was perfectly crisp, and the veal was cooked to perfection. The portion size was generous, and the dish was served with a side of warm potato salad and tangy lingonberry sauce. 2nd visit...the Paté is my favorite start, my mom's is the potato pancakes with the dill sour cream sauce. She had the Schnitzel Weiner Style, sauerkraut, and the potatoes with mushroom sauce on the side tonight....Amazing! 💯💯💯

5 of us dined outside on the patio tonight Service and food was terrific.

Very small place with an older style interior. Many tables out front on a beautiful patio. Food was incredible. Wife had the veal wiener schnitzel, I had the veal Ruben schnitzel. The red cabbage is a very tasty portion of the dish. We also sampled the apple strudel which was excellent and the German chocolate cake which was beyond belief. Highly recommend giving this place a try. Update 10-30-22 Still amazing. Owner and staff very engaged. Food is delicious. Probably our favorite Florida dining.

Delightful food, atmosphere, outside seating is refreshing and staff is great. LOVED the change of pace from other restaurants (steak, chicken, burgers, fish places)- Food quite good- all dishes we have tried: jargerschnitzel , chicken picant, a roast pork special and DELICIOUS red cabbage with apples was superb- sweet and delicious. Desserts quite good also. Oh and the split pea soup - WOW! Loved it! The outside seating is wonderful with a low wall of bubbling waterfalls/ water bubblers built in, open and airy and gets late afternoon shade. Will return here!!

Felt like Home, only in the warmth of Naples. Such a great experience, having great German food again in a wonderful area. We sat outside, enjoyed the food with friends, service was excellent, have already reciting others.

Don’t expect to walk in an get a seat. Yeah, was thinking the same” German food isn’t popular” well it isn’t and this place refused to seat us except for outside when it’s in the 50’s…. No thanks…. I have seriously never been turned away from a German restaurant in my life….

Klaus and his sister have the authentic thing going here. Delicious, filling, and a bargain! You cannot go wrong if you want home cooked German cuisine. I bring my dad whenever I can, he's originally from Bavaria and this is the real deal, just like Oma used to make! Wayne Weis

This was one of the best date nights ever. The food was absolutely to die for!!! I got the veal jagerschnitzel and my boyfriend got the veal weiner schnitzel... we both cleared our plates. Not to mention the black forest cake for dessert... holy smokes it was amazing!! The chocolate flavors were just perfect, the cake wasn't too rich or too sweet, the taste of the cherry drizzle complimented the chocolate cake perfectly. I can't wait to go back!!

Menu with great selection of classics, something for everybody. Desserts are really good and generous portions. The strudel was delicious. The prices are reasonable. We spent $ 90 for three complete dinners, no alcohol.

Just came back from a 5 weeks lasting trip to Germany, and went to the Black Forest Inn two days later. I really like their fried liver with onions and the apple strudel for desert. If I am not very hungry, I always enjoy their goulash soup with a big salad. I wish they would carry non alcoholic Weizen Bier

Five stars for excellent service, great beer, and great schnitzel. I would caution people away from the Hungarian Goulash though as it tasted almost exactly like a canned beef soup from the grocery store.

Food was no doubt homemade however, you can always tell when food has been frozen and then reheated. We had the Black Forrest chicken which was tough and the schnitzel with capers. For 2 basic entrees, 1 curry wurst, 1 beer & 1 iced, the bill was close to $100 without tip. I would skip this one unless you are seriously craving German food.

We drive from SC at least once a year specifically to eat here. The wait staff is excellent, the owner is wonderful, and the chef makes out of this world German food. I could eat here daily if my waistline could handle it. This is a definite must stop for anyone wanting authentic German food. You need to make reservations here though, otherwise you will be waiting a while before they have an open.

Having grown up with heavy German influence, I am picky about my German food. This restaurant absolutely blew me away. You walk inside and it smells like fresh German homemade cooking. Was very happy with my meal and the service- our server was very friendly and attentive. This was my first meal in Naples FL and I was very satisfied! Love this little gem!!

This restaurant lives up to it's high rating. Very German, and very good. They have expanded their outdoor seating a nd can handle small groups outdoors. Love the venison sausage and also the schnitzel and authentic sourbratten.

Food almost as good as my mother’s! We have been here several times and have been satisfied each time. The schnitzel is delicious, the potato pancakes are excellent. The rouladen is ok, but not quite like Oma’s. Too thick and the gravy tastes like it came from the sauerbraten. Also, have yet to try the bratkartofel (potatoes) as they are never available when I ask for them. Very good food and good service otherwise. Will be back again and again!

We have been renovating our kitchen ourselves, and the weekends usually mean that nobody's cooking. I was getting tired of pizza, and really wanted potato pancakes. My husband picked up food from Joey's in the same location, but went into Black Forest before hand to ask how long they'd take. Five minutes. Great. He picked up the food from Joey's and my potato pancakes were done. They were still hot when he brought them home. Delicious. We did the same thing the next weekend, but my husband called it in and the potato pancakes had been sitting waiting for a few minutes. They weren't nearly as warm as they were the first time, so we'll go back to stopping in and asking for them to prepare while he goes into Joey's to get what everyone else wants. These are crispy on the edges and thick enough in the middle without being mushy. Just right! They're very good, and the two in the order are more than enough as a meal for me. It might be considered a small plate for other people, though. December 2021: Another picture from another order. You can see the two potato pancakes here better, and the small side of applesauce and sour cream. They send the applesauce and sour cream home in the same size takeout ramekin that you would get ANY side in, by the way, but I think you would probably get a LOT more in person. I have never been inside this place, but no need as long as we can keep getting the latkes to go. When I crave these, this is the only place we'll get them.
