Really great place. Service was great, the place was packed, so a little bit of a wait for the Latte. But we'll worth it. Will be back.

Coffee was yummy and oh so strong! Not much in the way of food. Breakfast sandwich was ok.

Recently moved here and after giving everyone a fair chance- Bold Bean beats the others by far. Great customer service, and the best coffee in town! they have definitely gained a new regular👌🏻

I was the 1st customer of the day today. The staff is nice and welcoming, this place is beautifully made, great warm atmosphere and super clean My latte was perfect. BUT, my almond croissant was not good and not fresh. To the point that I couldn't finish it. And I am not the kind of person that doesn't finish a pastry. That ruined my experience, and this is such a shame because this place is so great.

Great coffee! Was in JAX for 2 days, highly recommend!

Ordered an iced matcha latte, but it tasted like just plain milk. It was green, but had no matcha flavor. Had to throw it away. It is a cute place though—lots of plants everywhere.

Delicious coffee. I recommend iced oat milk latte or iced matcha if you want something different. All drinks are made to order so if you are ordering an espresso based drink at peak hours expect to wait a bit. Luckily there is local art on the walls usually for purchase, fun music playing, and coffee related merchandise to look through. The vibes are immaculate. They have beers on tap if you are all done with caffeine for the day. The staff is helpful and very busy so please be kind.

Not a bad coffee joint, very friendly baristas making it a pleasant first time experience. Ordered a Latte, wasn’t the best, somewhat bitter and heavy on the ice. Would I go back to give it another shot? Possibly but overall experience was okay.

My coffee was good, wife's latte was good. Price was a little higher than other places. Overall enjoyable experience and nice place. My only gripe is that the music was almost at night club volumes. Having a casual conversation at your table was slightly difficult. I would return though.

Good people, good coffee. Shameful that the more than 10 year old outdoor tables and chairs that were so enjoyed were recently stolen. Seems like management could install new ones that would greatly improve the coffee experience.

Great coffee, pastries and environment!

This was my first visit and I am getting ready to go back. The place was quiet, guests were meeting, working and having conversations without imposing on other guests. Service was quick and pleasant and the staff seemed to have it all together.

It won't be quick, but it'll be good.

The guy working was friendly when we entered. The seating was decent inside, and my wife and I enjoyed our coffees. She had the hazelnut latte, and I had an iced lavender latte, which was interesting but still tasted fine. The lavender was strong and threw me off guard since I normally resort to vanilla. It was still a great coffee experience overall, and I'm glad we visited.

They have the beans! The coffee drinks at bold bean are fantastic. My favorite is the mocha latte. Their team is talented and makes every drink look like a picture. The vibe is really cool with exposed brick, plants everywhere, and some unique seating options. I’ve also seen poetry nights, concerts, meetups, and a variety of community gatherings at this location. A lovely place.

Lovely coffee lounge in riverside. The food & coffee were delicious 😋, service was pleasant, and the atmosphere was peaceful. Great place to dine in, read a book, work on a paper or novel, wifi friendly so you can bring your laptop. There are various pastry options to choose from, breakfast sandwiches (which are packaged cold, but you can request the batista to warm it for you), overnight oats, yogurt parfaits, etc. We ordered a hot caramel latte, bacon egg and cheese muffin, lemon cream fan & a Duval Sunset (tea & orange juice mix). All tasted great! Would def recommend this spot to just sit and enjoy the little moments 😊.

ordered a dirty chai with almond milk and it tasted sour and burnt. went back, explained the situation and asked to switch to a lavender matcha with oat milk. They made me a matcha with cows milk. it also just tasted like milk with food coloring. chocolate croissant was good though but they’re from another bakery anyway.

I've been going here since they opened. The prices have gone up since the pandemic while the service continues to get worse. There's only one guy who is always friendly and welcoming and one who is always rude and acts like a jerk, so it's a gamble every time of how easy or difficult it's going to be for me just to get a simple cup of coffee here. It would be cool to see some of the new baristas more than once or twice before they're gone.

This was my second time shopping at this establishment, the quintessential new era coffee house with a groovy music ambiance.This time we ordered the pastries along with our spectacularly prepared Caramel Macchiatos. I had the Mango “whatchamacallit” and my hubby had the Lemon “Thingy”. They were delicious, definitely worth calling devilishly delectable damn near dessert pairing with your coffee. The only positive thing about Bold Bean is the atmosphere. The food is never made to order, coffee and tea are sub par, and the staff ignores you and plays on their phones.

We moved to the US a couple of months ago and are struggling to find a good coffee shop. We've tried a dozen of "specialty" places so far from Miami to Jacksonville and it feels like they have no idea how to brew coffee correctly. And then we tried this place and got a perfectly made cappuccino. Unfortunately when we came back the next day we got the same boiling-hot burnt and sour mess as everywhere else. So shout-out to a person who was on shift on Feb 10th - you are a gem, thank you.

my favorite coffee shop in Jax! great coffee and atmosphere! everyone is so friendly and it's a great environment to get some work done! I love coming here to have a change of pace and do homework. they have nice indoor and outdoor seating and outlets to plug in your devices.

To bogey, wait, staff sucked. Ob phone whole time, and apparently, if ur sitting at the coffee bar. They still make u go to the register area to pick up ur coffee. And she didn't even say ur welcome to my Thank you

A place worth saving, if you are in the mood for an artcy place in a nice calm neiborhood, this is the place, they jabe a terace that could benefit from some investme, my friend who went there with me had many ideas to make it the talk of the area if they let him. Great place, will visot often mainly bc i dont appreciate starbucks anymore amd wamted a place that can satisfy my thirsdt for a quiet calm morning coffee.

One of my favorite spots. Had the chance to tour their roasting facility and it makes me have so much more respect for this company. They are very meticulous with their roasting process and I’m just so impressed with this coffee shop!

I wish I could say I enjoy what is inarguably the most popular coffee shop in Jacksonville, but I have tried half a dozen times or more to find a drink worth ordering at Bold Bean to no avail. My latest attempt at treating myself to a drink ended in yet another wasted cup. I ordered a hot chai and received a cup comprised of mostly oat milk and foam with a tinge of chai flavor, costing a hefty $2 more than their chalkboard wall of prices stated. Surely making your own chai latte at home with cheaper concentrate would taste better than the coffeehouse equivalent of an Applebee's Dollarita. Save yourself the trouble and seek out another local café.

Nice decoration and cute coffee shop. The coffee smells good and staffs are nice! Tried the matcha sunrise since it’s kinda unique- matcha tea with sparkling water and orange juice. There’re some other signature drinks as well. Good place for studying/ working or just chilling with friends & family.

Very nice coffee shop with artisanal coffee for a small detour in our trip south. Surely beats Starbucks, but that's not so difficult these days. You will feel at a place to relax with a great espresso drink, real art hanging from walls, people studying, life... The only caveat is that you may stay too long if you are traveling :)

Bold coffee was such a cute coffee shop. I tried the everything croissant which had cream cheese stuffed inside. It was delightful. I paired it with a hot americano with chocolate syrup and a splash of cream. This combo made my day and I will definitely try it again. Thanks for your hospitality and helping me with my order!

Lovely cozy environment with welcoming staff full of knowledge on the coffee and items they offer from mushroom extracts to the locally grown house plants 🪴 would recommend to any Jacksonville folks and all the people just passing by! I came in for a cup of joe and left with a whole lot more to take back home:)

Charming spot for a hot drink and quick pastry, especially on a drizzly afternoon. I was disappointed by limited food choices and lack of power spots to plug in and work.

I think it was very odd that they don’t have any sort of caramel… Giving that that is the only thing I drink coffee wise. You would think they would accommodate, and have some sort of caramel. I would rather go to Starbucks.

Prioritizing a popular regular who walked in behind me and seeing them walk out with their two coffees while I wait 25 minutes for one, left a very poor taste in my mouth. Even though I live literally right behind the coffee house, I will not be returning.

I visited this coffee shop for the first time the other day. It is very popular! There was not a time during my visit where the line dwindled down. The staff were friendly and polite, paying attention to the details of the orders being received. There were people of all kinds there. Some on their laptops, some in groups and some with children. Everyone seemed happy with their orders and experience. Plenty of seating inside ( small tables and large tables, a few bar seats,) and some tables outside as well. I got a spiced chai latte with oat milk. They offered dairy milk, almond and oat. I also got a croissant that was delicious.

really good coffee i use to get morning noon night yrs ago and it was my fav blend. the monthly club is great. vibe is cold but some coffee shops are just like that...most of the time not really shops fault

Worst coffee shop I’ve ever been to. Ordered an iced coffee with almond milk and vanilla then proceeded to sit down and wait for my name to be called. My name was never called and I waited and waited. Finally after 20 minutes I walked up and saw my drink sitting on the counter with the ice already melted and guess what they forgot the almond milk and made it black. I just grabbed it, threw it away, then walked out.

Like the absolute best coffee ever. I’m from seattle and have been around every coffee bar I can. This is the absolute best coffee I’ve had in all of Florida. So happy I found it!

The absolute best coffee shop!! Not only does the coffee/food taste amazing, but you have the friendliest staff!! Olivia made my drink today and it was so good!! I’m in here throughout the week and they are a model of consistency with making coffee and wonderful costumer service. I won’t get coffee anywhere else!!

The cappuccinos from here are always fantastic. Perfect espresso to milk ratio and great latte art. They are often busy so it can take 10 min for a drink to come out, but well worth the wait. Wife always gets black coffee which is fantastic and the same every time we go. Definitely our go to in the area. Good amount of seating indoors and a table or 2 outside usually.

Dear Bold Bean: So I'm a really old guy and I'm an actual writer and my wife and I've been coming down from NY to Riverside to stay in air bnbs for 2 or 3 or 4 weeks for ten years now in January, because we love it, here and always loved this place. I'd get coffee, I'd write, liked the music, always felt welcome, right? This year, something was different. I've come in 7 of the last 11 days between 10-12, and there's this guy behind the counter with long brown kind of unwashed hair behind each ear and weirdly aviator-like silver-rimmed glasses, and I guess some facial hair. If he's not taking my order, and any other person is, from the sweet women and the cool other guys, it's just a cool experience as always. But if this guy is taking my order, it's as if I'm an intruder on his turf. Sometimes even if he didn't take the order, but seems to be supervising, I catch his eye and he he's looking at me with this bizarre almost hostile indifference. I'm about to turn 70, and so obviously not hip (though I know all the music they ever play). But the other young people not only indulge me, they're just fun. But this guy creeps me out. I became so paranoid, because I am basically an insecure guy, that waiting for my camomile iced-tear to seep, I watched him deal with other people, and he was always happy and jolly with them. Am I wrong to think that he thinks that as a really old guy he thinks I'm poaching on his Young Hip Territory and should go away? Or does he just not like my vibe, which, seriously, is not threatening in the slightest way? Am I making this whole thing up? Anyway, we're heading back north tomorrow, so it doesn't really matter. But when we come back in March, if he's still giving me that look, I'm going to go to the Starbucks next to the Publix from here on in. Advice? -- Frustrated old man.

I really enjoyed coming here. Even though there were a lot of people and a lot of conversation it was some what still very quiet. The coffee was amazing and the crescent was amazing. I will 100% be back!

Been loving this place since it opened. Anytime I’m in Jax I make a point to stop in for my coffee. They are the real deal 3rd wave shop. Smooth flavor. Attention to details. Only house made syrups. With kind baristas. Atmosphere that’s on point. Do yourself a favor and stop in. You’ll become a regular 💯

Super cute and cozy coffee shop! The staff was super friendly and the drinks were delicious. They have lots of seating inside and plenty of places to enjoy a drink, read, or study/work. There were a few options for pastries but more were delivered once we sat down, so it seems they have a steady supply for the mornings.

I love that I don't have to go to Tampa for decent coffee. I am proud of the fact that our local coffee is the best and I am extremely hard to please about this. Now, if only I get some good Cuban bread/food up in here I would never have to go home. Also, the employees at Bold Bean are excellent. Whatever y'all are doing, please keep doing it.

I love this spot. I felt like I was on the set of a Rom/Com starring not me. Coffee was yum, no free refills, because that would be crazy, maybe I dreamt they had them like at my home, free refills all DAY 🤔 But it's (my home)not cozy like bold bean. You wanna pay for the cozy rom-com feel.

Good cup of coffee. I had two actually, both of different single origins. For me to rate a coffee shop higher than a three, it has to be great to borderline extraordinary, which doesn't always necessarily have anything to do other than with the choice of bean that's been brewed and the way the bean itself has been treated during roasting. I would recommend this place and will definitely get back.

Customer service was great! I love the bold bean coffee at my job and wanted to get my regular latte with oat milk here, and it was not good. Chai tea was not that good either. Some inappropriate paintings and loud music.

Vibe is very vibrant, warm and social here. Many different coffee beans to choose from. Chose to drink the Columbia- Hermer Sánchez brew. Coffee was very strong and citrus-y very interesting and enjoyable. Most of the coffee here is made by hand pour-over so it’s made with care which I love. All the plants displayed are for sale which is so cool because each one has got its own charm to it. Loved my visit here & would come again.

The pastries were delicious and I always love when cafes have homemade syrups 😋
