On the plus side it wasn't packed when we came in with a party of 12. Had the shrimp and grits, it was seasoned well but the grits were grainy and not cooked well.

Stopped here for dinner on our girls trip. We ordered prime rib, mashed potatoes, house salads, tacos and spicy margaritas. It was wonderful from the drinks, service and food. Wow, we were blown away! Definitely enjoy a meal here sometime, you won’t be disappointed.

The universe must've been looking out for me that day cause this place was amazing, and I just stumbled onto it! It was so nice and relaxed in there, and the super sweet girl at the door showed me to a perfect corner table where I could work a bit. She brought me a delectable beer, and then an absolute ray of sunshine called Ari came to take my order and suggested a crab cake that the other girl who was there swears by and it was easily in the top 2 best ones of my life! Honestly, even if the food wasn't amazing (it was) I'd go back just for the vibes and will absolutely be making that trip next time I'm in the area to explore more of what I am betting is an amazing menu. 10/10!

Y’all! This is a hidden gem! We stayed the weekend across the street in the condos and decided to eat at the Broke N Bored Grill. The service was impeccable, food was on point (I had the filet, broccolini, and the Sunset Punch to drink) it was totally worth the price. The pepper rub and cast iron sear was amazing on the steak and the broccolini was pan seared with fresh garlic, and seasonings. My girlfriends had the filet and the shrimp wrap and they were just as impressed. Do yourselves a favor and try this place out!

First time we stopped in and very happy we did today. Capri was great. Those sprouts were insane. Great drinks as well

I would have given it 5 stars but since our visit the first two times versus this one was so different. We ranted about how they don't overcook their brussel sprouts and the sauce was amazing, it was not good this time even when we asked them to correct it. I won't give up on them but really hope they look at their process again.

We went for the Friday Fish Fry and it was amazing. The fish was fresh and cooked perfect. We had one Fish fry and one fish sandwich. If you are from the northeast...you know a good Haddock fish fry and this is just like home!!! Chef Daniel Rabice has put his magic touch in the kitchen here and the food is outstanding. The staff was all so pleasant and made it a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back and we are telling everyone where they can get the best food.!!

Food was 10/10...Shrimp wrap was excellent...wife had the filet said that it was excellent. The service wasn't that good...and it was pretty hot in the restaurant.

The Drunken Shrimp & Grilled Shrimp were prepared to prrfection!!! I would come back to have dinner here every night! Our poor server was definitely overworked so I just got up and collected the accoutremonts that we needed to save her from retracing her steps once again ... I would definitely come back to this restaurant!!😁😁😁

Best Mahi around Madeira and Redington, literally tastes like candy. I dream about their mashed potatoes until I vacation back each year, my number one “looking forward to” spot!

New owner did a great job! I am a local and stop in often. Chloe is always my server and she is the sweetest girl. She is so knowledgeable about what is offered. The food is healthy, colorful and fancy or a casual beach place. Chloe also makes a mean rum runner 😊

Great place!! My friend and I went for lunch today. I had the catch of the day....Yellowtail Snapper sandwhich it was delicious! We also got the pulled pork nachos again delicious. My friend ordered the filet mignon with loaded mashed potatoes she said it too was delicious! Also the raspberry tea is delicious!! It's a small place, very cute great vibe. The service was great thanks Ari!! The only thing is the name Broke made me think it was a cheaper place to eat...it is not! However I still love the name that's why we came in to eat and will definitely be going back!!

I called for quick reservation for 8 since the other restaurant messed up our reservation. They were so accommodate and they had available table by time, which is great. The food is delicious and loved their seafood linguine. They also had kids menu. Overall loved the experienced for dine in.

The fresh catch (red drum) of the day was not fresh and not edible. Sent it back and just got a salad. Service was great but not worth coming back here for sure. In addition, the owner argued with me that the fish was supposed to taste like. ??

We went in for a couple of beers and appetizers. Restaurant was clean and inviting. We ordered smoked fish spread and the pb & j brussel sprouts. Both were outstanding! The fish is smoked and prepared on site. The portion size was huge! The sprouts intrigued us...pb &j? They were delicious! Sharon, our server, was friendly and accomodating. Would definitely return

My ribs were good but my husband got them too and half of his were almost burnt and the other half ok. Cheeseburgers 🍔 were good I was told. French fries 🍟 are different but ok. Staff was busy but did ok

Really cute out door dinning area right by the beach. The landscape is just perfect for a beer garden. Our waitress was nice & efficient. We had nachos & beers. The nachos were really good they had pico de gallo instead of typical picante or salsa which gave them a nice freshness

The restaurant is 5-Star establishment quality without a doubt! Shrimp appetizer was delicious, Salads are gigantic w/beautiful presentation, Cold Smoked Ribeye w/heavy sear (med-well) was delicious and juicy juicy! BESY RIBEYE in the Area Hands Down! Broccoli & Loaded Mashed Potatoes were on point! Everything was seasoned very well, nothing needed anything extra.... New ownership, New chef and Staff is FABULOUS!

Highly recommend this place! Lathan was our server and he was absolutely wonderful. I had the shrimp and grits and my husband had the steak bowl. Everything was made fresh and was absolutely delicious!

Suchhh a vibe here and seriously the best food I have had in a long time. I'll be coming back for those RIBS and all the sides were amazing too. (Garlic mash, Broccolini, PB&J Sprouts!!) The patio is super cute and it's right next to the beach. The staff were friendly, great service - but really I can't wait to try the rest of this menu. I'm always looking for places that cook a real meal and Broke N Bored delivers!

I’m giving this place the 5 stars for every thing. The staff you had on today were so good to me so kind and I cannot praise them enough for their response to my emergency as my brother disappeared into the sea for over an hour in a strong rip tide. He was found ok thank you God. I did not know where else to turn and the warmth and care they showed to me was amazing. I’ve told my whole my whole family including my brother ( grrrr) to come back and eat. Thanks so much guys from my heart 💕💕😷💕

I had the blackened fresh-catch tacos. I and another member of my party found the fish to be very underseasoned and they also "lost the ticket" for one of our entrées. Overall, it was okay but we were a little disappointed.

The food was far from great, dined with my entire family and to be honest the best part of our meal were the fries that came out hot and fresh besides that nothing else was worth the price.

Service was great. The food was ok. The shrimp and grits were very oily. It seemed as if the shrimp and sauce were the same they used for the Drunken shrimp which flavor wise was fine but made the shrimp and grits feel like you were eating a bowl of butter with a side of shrimp and grits.

The Drunken shrimp was excellent, stopped in to check it out, The smoker was smelling good. Lots of seating inside and out. We'll be back.

Food was excellent! The fish spread, shrimp pasta and mahi were all excellent. Staff was friendly and attentive. Some of the best seafood I’ve had in a long time.

Great food for the money, and great service

Spent a few hours at Redington Beach today with my daughter. Decided to try this place out as it's right next door. Ordered the mussels for an appetizer at 7:07, which I have to admit were decent. I assume our meal order was put in the system by 7:15. In the end, the server could not tell me the time our meals were put in the system, only the appetizer at 7:07. At any rate, 7:30 comes around with no sign of our entrées, no word from the server of when the food should be expected. There are absolutely no other patrons in the restaurant. My daughter and I both just waiting with puzzled looked on our face. 7:45 rolls around. I ask for the check so we can leave as it doesn't seem anyone cares about bringing out our food. Of course, upon complaining our food magically emerges 1 minute later. I asked again for the check to pay for the appetizer so we can go. There is absolutely no reason a burger and tacos should take more than 10 minutes, let alone 30, with no one else in the restaurant. What an absolute joke. I then received the amazing offer to take our food to go with a discount? Lol. No meal comp or anything. I've worked many positions at a restaurant in the past from the server to cook. This was quite a suprise but hey you live and learn. Would give 0 stars if I could.

Drunken shrimp and food is generally amazing! Great beer selection and service is so friendly. Eat indoor or outdoor seating that is dog friendly. Enjoy!

Food was bland ordering our old favorites. PBJ brussel sprouts just missed. Grouper taco, and cole slaw lacked flavor.

Food was average at best. Fish tacos had small, tiny crumples of fish, not pieces I would expect from a local restaurant in Florida. Corn tortillas were stale. Not worth going back for any reason. Sad. Used to be good

Highly recommend the Mahi, the Pina colada sauce was so good on it. They did mess up the person's order who was with me by not leaving out the beans but not a huge deal. They also handled an unhappy patron (not the resturants fault) very graciously. The place has a super laid back feel and the staff was super nice.

My family dined here under the previous owners so we weren't sure what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised. They have their own smoker and as a result, we had the most flavorful fish dip we have found in this area. My sisterinlaw said the filet was one of the best she had. Drunken shrimp scampi was excellent, child's cheeseburger was delicious, and my pulled pork sandwich was delicious as well. Waitress was lovely and the owner was very nice! We'll be back!

Great restaurant in the North Reddington Beach area....some favorites are the Fried Green Tomatoes, Muscles Mania, & the Steak Bowl!!!! I came here last year for the 1st time & definitely had to make sure to come back again on my current visit.....the owner & staff were super friendly....also loved the outside eating area was super cute....the tables were surf boards!!!!

We are not from the area and decided to grab some take out for dinner. Stopped by this place after reading great reviews.. unfortunately our food was terrible. We ordered 4 dishes. Three out of the 4 was missing something and just gross. Fried fresh catch tacos had no basil peach salsa, blackened shrimp tacos came with no avocado cream, steak bowl came with the toughest meat- totally inedible. Everything was tasteless and dry-- our family sat there pretty mindblown at how this food was being sold at a restaurant. I eventually called and spoke with a really nice manager named Linda. I wanted to inform management about how their food was being served/tasted.. bc in my mind- there had to be something majorly off this night(based on other reviews). Linda was understanding and apologetic- beyond my expectations. She offered us to come back to grab additional food or even stop by another day- she stated there was no excuse for this and that their kitchen staff have been messing up all night. We unfortunately were not going to be in area and said thanks anyways. SHE then offered a refund - which was totally unexpected-- I was really impressed with their service at that point. Well that was on April 7th and today is April 26th and no refund as of yet. Don't promise or offer things you're not going to follow through with- a simple apology and acknowledgment would have sufficed. Food experience was bad, but in the end, their service was worse.

I got the shrimp & grits for $22 and it was worth every dime! I don’t mind paying a little extra for great quality. I really liked the tea as well. The staff is extremely friendly and fast. I received my food in less than 10 minutes and the restaurant was half full at the time. I will absolutely be coming back here for the food!

The fish chowder was out of this world !! Friendly staff, good food. My friend had the mussels and I had the pull pork nachos. Took half the nachos home. Very large portion. Definitely going back.

John is wonderful, Lisa is wonderful, and Sharon Ann is wonderful. My hamburger just the way I like it was wonderful. What else can I say it was a wonderful Friday night.

We were here on Vacation had a “Trainee” MIRANDA who was cut loose that night, she was AWESOME. The Owner or Manager came out to introduce himself make sure we were satisfied and everything was satisfactory. Our outdoor seating was perfect service good, food very good. Will surely go back. Highly recommend.

Found Broke N Bored Grill as we wanted a restaurant on the beach. It is close to the beach, but no water views from restaurant. They recently re-opened and winding up things. We enjoyed Fresh Catch tacos, Smoked Chicken Bowl & Your Way 🍔 Cheeseburger. We enjoyed the food & look forward to a return visit.

Exactly what I look for in a restaurant. Casual, unpretentious, and SERIOUSLY delicious food. We sat outside and the atmosphere was spot on. Got the special and enjoyed the best grouper I’ve ever had - and I used to live in the Keys. Make a reservation for dinner just in case, it’s a small-ish place. But look no further, just go here.

Food was awful, 2.1 at best. Ordered mahi mahi tacos: fried and blackened. Both were dry and grilled. Not fried or blackened. To which the server insisted they were were correct and read back what we ordered and what she had written down, which was not what was on the plates in front of us. The server was in a constant rush and never stopped to actually care about the customers experience. When asked for bbq sauce for my grandma, they brought hot sauce and ketchup. Every side delivered were wrong. Service was beyond awful, especially being in the industry, we always understand what they’re going thru but damn this was bad. It’s extremely loud inside and as a last minute option on a Saturday night, it was the worst decision we could have made. Clearly a place that wasn’t ready to re open. Parking sucks and for handicap people, it’s a pain to get around

We visited during the second week of reopening. As to be expected it was not speedy service but they were trying so hard! The owner helped us to get a drink as we waited. I had the Mahi and it was the best I’ve EVER had and the PB &J brussel sprouts were soooo good!!

I was happy to see the restaurant wasn't busy when we arrived, after reading some bad reviews on here. But we still waited over 30 minutes just to order our food. I had asked how much the grouper sandwich was, assuming the waitress would know. She said she would go check, then went on to help everyone else around us. Bringing out their drinks, checks, taking orders. At this point we had decided we were going to go somewhere else, but when she finally came back, the $30 price for a sandwich was enough for us to leave. Went down the street to Seabreeze. There's a view of the water, the amount of food that came with the kids meals was much more than we expected, the wait staff is friendlier, and last but not least, the grouper sandwich is $10 less and looks so much better.

This was our first time here. The menu online looked delicious, but we were a little apprehensive when we got there and saw the smallish dining room. However, the super-quick and friendly servers and quality of the food turned our apprehension around! We had the fried green tomato appetizer, they were delicious. For dinner, we had the Drunken Shrimp Scampi - the white wine sauce was amazing- and the Chicken Caprese. Both dishes were fresh, hot, and scrumptious. If we lived closer, we’d definitely be back more often.

Service was good and prompt. It's nice, but a little loud. I ordered the drunken shrimp app..it was very good,i think it would be better if it was served with grits. I had the pulled pork sandwich, flavor was good, but it was dry. Ceasar salad was bland, needed more dressing. Fries where hot and tasty. Lots to like , just need to improve the execution of the food

It's open again, and honestly, it's just as good as before. The service is friendly, and the place has a nice vibe. Glad to see it back in action.

My husband and here for dinner and the food was amazing! This will definitely be one of our go to places whenever we are in the area. The only downside was that the service was a little slow but the place was packed and they just recently reopened so that's understandable.

Delicous food! Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. Server seemed relatively new but was friendly and nice. The only thing that could have made the experience better was sitting in the back/bar part of the restaurant as it had much more atmosphere and ambiance than the front. Our family of 5 walked in without reservations during spring break and were seated immediately.....every other place we went to had a 1.5+ hr wait. To find this "hidden" gem was a wonderful surprise! Would recommend.

BEWARE! This was honestly one of the worst dining experiences of my entire life. We should have known when someone said, "Good luck," as they were leaving and we were coming in. We should have just left after it took over an hour to get our appetizer (which was wrong.) The staff was fairly apologetic. I think the kitchen was the problem. Most of our food was wrong. Missing ingredients. Terrible flavors. My husband had a bad stomach last night after eating the shrimp. It took almost three hours to finally escape. This place needs a full staff overhaul. It was disappointing that we had only a few days in Florida and we had to spend so many precious hours in food service hell.

Absolutely terrible food experience. Went for dinner last night after calling ahead to make sure there was room and being told yes. Staff was extremely overwhelmed. Waited an hour and a half for food, ordered bbq pork nachos not sure what the "bbq" was, it was dry smoked pork. I ordered no sour cream and it came with sour cream on it. Furthermore, there was almost no cheese on the nachos. They were cold as was the food the rest of the table got. Couldn't flag down the server because she was too busy. Drink menu was a hand written piece of note paper. Wraps were missing half the ingredients. One of my friends had to go up and ask for the rest of their wrap fillings. Having been here before and it being a good experience I wasn't worried, and if there had been someone that looked like a manager to complain to, we would have. I won't waste my money here again any time soon.

Super excited that this place has reopened. The menu hasn't really changed and the food is just as amazing as before!! Best food in the area for sure. Service, environment, everything else was great too.

Ordered two shrimp bowls. Was good except I had to pick out about 30 pieces of uncooked rice that I couldn’t chew. Wife just bypassed the rice after seeing what I did. I quit with rice after about 1/2 of it gone. Told waitress and she said the kitchen didn’t believe us. The uneatable rice was on my plate, hard as a rock. They didn’t offer another meal or discount. Will not go back.

Quant place with excellent food and service. My husband got the snapper tacos, and I got the pulled pork bowl. Both delicious. We will be back. Amy, our server, was terrific, too.

The Clam Chowder was sooooo good!! The fish spread was better than the best in Dunedin (and that is saying something). The service could not have been better. We will be back.

Outstanding Hogfish sandwich ! Fast, friendly service.

We were so excited to get a reservation for our party of 6 while on vacation during Christmas week. We had been to this place every time we came to IRB and the food was always great. When we pulled into the parking lot, the place was dark and not a soul around. The marquis signed just said “closed”. It was such a disappointment given I was able to make the reservation and didn’t get a call or anything saying the restaurant had closed. Luckily we got a reservation at Coco Wood down the road and it was great!

Fun atmosphere, and great food! We stopped by after a walk on the beach, as we love to eat small and local. Broke N Bored did not disappoint! Great service, great fresh food...try the drunken shrimp, you'll love it! We will be back!

I ordered a gift card on 12/11/23, and was charged for the gift card, as well as received a confirmation email. As of 12/23/23, I have not received the card and can't get anyone at the restaurant to answer the phone or respond to an email.

This is a great little place with delicious food and friendly staff. My only suggestion is to call before you come if you're driving from out of the way, as this place is often closed for weeks in a row during low season. When it does open it's sometimes only open on the weekends. It's definitely a treat though so if you do see it open you should try it.

It was just ok server took order then never seen her until she brought the bill. I was dieing to try the mahi as i hadnt had it in years but not like i remember. Not sure we would return as we went out of our way to go and nothing thrilled us.

This place is right next to Beach parking . We ordered Drunkin Shrimp and Fish Tacos. Food was excellent. After dinner we went to beach for sunset. They have inside and outside seating.

Host had a drink in his hand when we arrived. Never saw that before. Super depressing. Paid a lot of money for a terrible experience. It’s a shame. The waiter was not great, but was new and trying hard

Hogfish entree was small & disappointing but the server was pushing hogfish (typically my favorite). The Mahi was 100 times better! PB&J Brussels to start are a must and a very generous portion. Chocolate cake dessert was the highlight of the meal. Outside tables are wooden tops and feel wet& dirty. I really object to uncleanable things in a restaurant.

Every year we visit this area and this is the 4th year we came to Broke N Bored. Food is amazing! In the 3 years prior we had our teen kids with us and even they loved the food here!
