Fabulous and diverse vegan options. Soooo fresh. Our fav place in the area. Vegan pulled pork was delish and the quinoa rice pilaf had tons of flavor. Thai salad had just the right amount of spice.

Great little place, organico and vegan, if that's your thing. Tasty food and the price is right head and shoulders above all the standard unhealthy and flavorless slop out there.

I’ve been coming here for years and finally thought to leave a review the employees are always so up beat and inviting , but we’re all here for the food after all everything I’ve tried has been so clean and tasty they make healthy foods amazing best clean post gym meal money can buy !

We went here for lunch with the family, and it was a wonderful experience. The place itself is very nice, and the staff, including the owner, were extremely welcoming and friendly. Every dish we tried was delicious.

The chef was great! Agustin came out to say hello when he saw us. He’s a customer of ours. He made us an excellent meal and checked on us a few times. The hostess was great, the food good. The waitress took a little long to greet me because I was waiting for my niece. But overall an excellent experience.

Overrated, expected good if not great after reading all the reviews - mediocre to low average at best!! Not really fresh - bad avocados used in the wrap as shown in the photos and the beans weren’t fully cooked, the cauliflower watery - no taste, the lentil loaf was just steamed grains loosely put together at best! If that is the top vegetarian sandwich in USA one’s got to think 🤔 sweet potato fries were good and macroni and cheese as expected!

I got the gf bison burger and it was delicious! so many accommodations for people with allergies or sensitivities so I will definitely be back. the kefir water was amazing too✨

I visited Cafe Evergreen recently and felt compelled to leave an honest review, as what's been written before is far from reality. My experience was disappointing on multiple fronts. Firstly, the owner's demeanor was less than welcoming; Ted came across as rude and indifferent. Secondly, the service was painfully slow. It took an eternity to get our orders taken and even longer for the food to arrive. Speaking of the food, it was basic at best. Nothing stood out in terms of flavor or presentation. The only redeeming quality was the air conditioning, which provided temporary relief from the sweltering heat outside. However, even that was marred by the cramped dining area, making it difficult to find a seat. To add insult to injury, they nickel and dime you for every little thing, including extra salad dressing. Overall, I wouldn't recommend Cafe Evergreen to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience.

Wonderful place - inside or outside, it's top notch

Service is wonderful and the food is fresh, healthy, and tastes amazing. After my first try, I had to return two more times within the same week to show my friends and family why Cafe Evergreen is my favorite. The staff is super sweet and always smiling. A wonderful experience all around.

Cafe evergreen is a great option for lunch or dinner. I especially enjoy it because my wife is celiac and they take it very seriously! Make sure to grab a probiotic drink while your there, you won’t regret it!

I thought this was some kind of healthy, kale juice place but I was mistaken! While they do have some healthy vegetarian and vegan options, they also have the good (carnivore) stuff! Our food was delicious. I had the Mahi Reuben and cleaned my plate.

I have been coming to Cafe Evergreen with my family for years. Earlier today I had a video appointment with the VA that for once went incredibly well! They HAD no choice but to see me using my teeter inversion therapy table for service connected spinal chord decompression therapy and NOT some random Vet they would be sending away with yet another prescription in person at their office to mask yet another symptom, but I digress. To celebrate this small success and the subsequent pain relieving epidural injections into said spine, my wife suggested I go to Cafe Evergreen for dinner and bring her home something as well because she had too much schoolwork (not everyone is on spring break) to catch up on. To aid my medical ailments my wife has strongly encouraged an anti inflammatory diet, that is, grain and gluten free, no dairy, no nightshades or legumes, limited saturated fats and no red meats unless they are grass-fed. Basically all the good stuff. All of the staff at Cafe Evergreen are top notch and tonight was no exception and I was so lucky to have Kelly as my server! I told her I was on a really limited menu so she recommend the Salmon Mediterranean Salad and had all of my restrictions taken out. As you can see from the pictures….I was the best meal I’d had in some time! If you are feeling down for whatever the reason and you are within driving distance to Cafe Evergreen, do yourself a favor and go because you will leave feeling better! And as an added bonus ALL the staff are as technically proficient with the menu and kind and caring as Kelly so it does not matter whose section you are sitting in, but thank you again Kelly for this evening’s help!

Great vegan options! Loved the choices!

We came here for Valentine's Day. We made a reservation for 7:00 three weeks in advance. When we arrived, there were 4 empty tables! We were the last ones seated for the evening! The meal was awesome, as usual. I had the shrimp with potato gnocci. She had the salmon. Both were cooked perfectly. The server was on task all evening. And parking was plentiful. All in all... a great Valentine's Day dinner date!

I am a local at this restaurant as the owner lives in my community and recommended their establishment. Visiting many times over the last few months I want to preface this by saying, the food and customer service has always been good. Today, I decided to grab some coffee as I have always enjoyed their lattes in the past. The male barista made me two lattes that just didn’t taste good. I tried explaining and he was very frustrated and condescending. I asked him to make them again and this seemed to bother him. I dont know if it was just because it was at the end of his shift but he ended up making the lattes even worse and did not include the flavor as requested. I would not recommend picking up anything from this establishment as the customer service from the coffee bar is disappointing. I should of just went to Starbucks.

The food was great the service left a lot to be desired. One the people in our party very explicitly asked for no almonds or apples on her salad as she is allergic. I asked for sweet potato fries as my side. When out meal arrived my meal had cauliflower and was told they ran out of the and brought my that instead, never even asked what else I might like. The salad came out with apples on it and the waitress was arguing they she did not say no apple and we were basically told to be quite she was trying to solve this problem, and told the guess with the salad to pick it off. THIS WAS NOT A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE

Everything about our experience there was great. The atmosphere, service, and food all deserve a 5 star rating. The menu accommodated both my girlfriend who is a vegetarian and me who is not with equally delicious entrees.

Roasted beet Reuben did NOT disappoint.

While having lunch at Cafe Evergreen last week, someone was seated at a table and held a dog throughout their meal. It was a small dog but it was above the level of the table, sniffing at the food when served, and sometimes its feet were over the table and food. How unsanitary! Why would this be allowed? If I would have seen this when I entered, I would have gone elsewhere.

So good!!!!! Will be my go-to place for great, healthy food!

You will not disappointed coming here if you are looking for vegan or healthy food choices! I had ahi tuna bowl and it was so good. It was fresh, delicious, right portions and feels healthy after eat. I remember we ordered dessert too but forget what it was. But yes definitely would like to come back. The only thing is the place a bit small so you can hear people talking, or maybe they could hear our conversation as well. Service was good, it was busy.

The food here is generally exceptional. It leans a little more toward healthy organic choices, but there are options for all. The only thing we didn't like was the falafel. The pot pie is a disappointing portion. Otherwise, everything else had been very good or better The ambience is lacking The outside dining is parking lot adjacent so that's disappointing. Turkey melt is really big . Coffee taste delicious . They do not serve breves but the barista did add some heavy cream to my latte!

So good! We stopped in after searching for a vegan restaurant in the area. Hubby is a meat eater and he enjoyed it. They do have both options meat and vegan. It is some of the freshest food I have ever tasted. Everything was top notch, clean, and flavorful. It had a farm to table feel! Smoothies, juices, teas, and kombuchas are also served and it is hard to choose which one to try. I wish we lived much closer because there are so many amazing dishes I would love to try. It’s nice to see so many places that serve well made vegan dishes and just plain healthy foods without all the processed ingredients. Definitely give this place a try!!

The pesto ranch dressing is amazing!

In the midst of all the overpriced tourist fish traps along the bay, this is the place to go! No, you won’t find “catch of the day” options here, but they have an out of this world mahi mahi Reuben (can also get a classic, turkey, or salmon). They also have salads with nice fresh greens and options for proteins as well as some thoughtful vegan and vegetarian options (not just veggie burgers but their own house made black bean burgers and quinoa cakes) Indoor seating is somewhat limited but you could sit at the bar if it’s busy- the outdoor seating it basically sandwiched between the road and the parking lot so it’s a little loud, but they have a cute enough set up. Definitely recommend the Sarasota Sangria (kombucha and local blueberry wine), the mahi Reuben, the evergreen club, or a salad, but everything looks good! Inside has Panera vibes color scheme, but the live plants make up for it 💚

So delicious!! I get the chicken pesto wrap (sub gluten free wrap) with the gluten free chocolate dessert and it is amazing!! The wrap is so flavorful and a great recipe. I get the gluten free Mac and cheese for the side, also 10/10. I highly recommend to anyone whether they are gluten free or not. There’s also many vegetarian options if you need!

What a treasure! Had a fantastic dinner last night, the food was delicious! If you're a classic Reuben fan then you will WANT to order this, they brine their own beef! It is most likely the best Reuben I've ever had, every bite was perfect. The Cafe sampler was perfect for the two of us to share. (The quinoa patties were the star.) And the floorless chocolate cake total yum. Our server Melissa was a gem, and we were happy to meet Chef Nick too. Have to go back, soon! Whether you're vegetarian, vegan or a carnivore like me, this place is a must.

Driving from Miami to Tampa and towards the end of the drive about 70 miles out (Venice) we got hungry and found what we needed and wanted, a healthy, gluten free option. My son has Celiac GI. Gluten Intolerance. Miami, Tampa, Venice and Orlando had Gluten Free options. Thank you!

I have been excited to go here for the longest and was only slightly disappointed. There were 4 of us and everyones food was pretty great but mine. I am a falafel connoisseur, been all over the world and this missed the mark. It was barely luke warm and tasted raw. It was heavy and bland. The avocado toast was fresh and the gluten free toast was a great idea, but dry and both avocado and bread were tasteless. Even just a little salt and pepper would have helped. That said, the place was packed on a Thursday night in Nokomis which says a lot! The menu was amazing, I just ordered wrong for me.... so can't wait to go back and try everything else! It's the cutest, cleanest place w the coolest staff. Great job y'all!

Didn’t allow us to eat without a shirt.

Price gouging for premade items, juices and smoothies taste watered down, products are advertised with quack medical advice to boot. Extremely disappointing place to think the customer is receiving a fair deal. While this place has every right to make a profit, it seems they charge economic rent for the namesake of advertised health food. My advice for this establishment, use the juicer for each individual order, don’t serve fresh squeezed juice after it sat in a refrigerator for eight hours or more, that’s not fresh squeezed anything, that is pure meretriciousness.

Went for lunch. Great service. Fast delivery. VEGAN! Finally! Delicious lunch meal... We loved it so much we went back for dinner take out. We loved the blueberry wine and the super vegan wrap. Roasted cauliflower was amazing... Might have been the added cumin? Dinner was an entree of vegan meatloaf and green beans and mashed potatoes and another vegan wrap. Dessert was great! (Brownies and cheesecake). Highly recommend especially for that fresh vegan taste.

I was very excited to see no-meat options. As a vegetarian I love trying out new food. Here are my 2 cents. The non-meat options are very hard core vegan, very healthy. I had the vegan Ruben sandwich, instead of meat it was two slices of been root with the typical other ingredients, not the easiest thing to eat, my girlfriend had a hard time as she doesn't like that much beet. The smoothies doesn't seem like they add any sugar so that's a plus if sugar is not your thing, just the natural sweetness of the fruit. It is however pricey $$; 2 sandwiches, 3 smoothies and a kids grilled sandwich with corn chips for a bit more than $70 plus tip

I can’t stop thinking about how disappointing my experience was here. Soggy potato fries. Soggy cauliflower. Everything is premade and under heat lamps. Their Vegan reuben is just canned pickled beats on a dry gf bun that I paid an extra $3 for, I couldn’t eat it. Nothing was hot or freshly made, just pre cooked and heated up. Having nightmares over how disappointing this was…

Food is very good and healthy but the prices are on the high side. They have seating outside so you can bring your dog.

Lovely dinner ("It was all really, really, really good"). Enjoyed the recommendations from the waitress. Prompt service. Food was excellent (both my dish and that of my dining companion). Tried to save room for dessert by boxing part of dinner. Ended up boxing half of dessert too. Looking forward to lunch/midnight-snack leftovers. Will definitely be back again with the rest of the family.

Not what we expected considering all the great reviews. Organic coffee, but no half and half, only milk. Burger meat has the texture of boiled meat that is then seared on a flat grill. Sweet potato fries seasoned with mesquite seasoning or something weird. First, and last visit here.

Had dinner with my wife and a friend. Menu is extensive. The drink menu was double sided. Vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options are clearly marked. My wife and friend both had the classic reuben sandwich. I had the chana masala. The reubens had a generous amount of corned beef on thick cut rye bread. Both thought it was delicious. I had a large portion of chana masala that was well seasoned and not overly spicy. Delicious as well. Very clean. Great service.

The number one reason I am rating this place a 4 is because their ingredients are high quality compared to other restaurants. They have organic coffee and espresso and it looks like they use grass fed beef as well. I am sad to say I did not get to try their coffee as there was a water issue not allowing their systems to function properly. There is a cute little area to sit outside that is shaded. Parking is best in the rear of the restaurant. The staff I interacted with was also great! The food was only ok.

The Evergreen Club is the main reason we come here. It's one of the best meals and look forward to coming here. The beet reuben is just as good as a corned beef one. Never disappoints!

great choice! i've been here a handful of times and the food is always good, i like the southwest salad. they also have great entres that are not vegan. knocking off a star because of the outdoor ambiance, right off the highway it can get super noisy!

Ordered the Bison Burger with sweet potato fries, the taste of the burger was underwhelming and I didn’t taste any feta cheese. It was also overcooked. The sweet potato fries tasted old and soggy, and the portion was very skimpy. I also ordered fresh veggies and it was a tiny portion for 6$. I have had better Bison burgers cooked myself from the grocery store. Very disappointing meal, especially for the price.

My sister and I make a stop in the Venice area a few times a year and no matter what this is the only food place we ever make. Every single time we have gone the staff and food is beyond amazing. Everyone is so friendly and the area is gorgeous to sit in with the plants and lighting. The food is incredible and there are so many options to choose from that all have vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options so it’s very inclusive. I have nothing negative to say about this place and it has never been less than great. Claire helped us this time around and she was fast and super sweet, even around the busy atmosphere. Couldn’t recommend this place enough.

Wanted to try something different as most of the restaurants in the area seem to be seafood based and there is red tide present. They have a mix of vegetarian and vegan options as well as some meat so everyone has something they like. The staff was very friendly and even though we ended up staying past closing they didn't rush us at all. There is some outdoor seating but it's along 41 and kind of noisy so we sat inside which was nice. They also have some interesting non alcolic drink options and some really good vegetarian sandwiches.

We stopped in here for a birthday brunch! The food was SO freaking tasty. There was 6 of us. We all ordered different things, we all thought our meals were excellent quality. Service was excellent. Super yums.

Chicken pot pie was delicious comfort food. Lentil soup also very good. My wife said her salmon with Asian sauce was wonderful. Two thumbs up. We would definitely come here again!
