Ordered fish dinners to go and why not paying over $100 for takeout for two group of dinners by the time we got it and sat down to eat we open the box and it was burnt

Great spot to enjoy Dinner. Everything we ordered was a hit. We ordered drinks, apps, entrees & a dessert, everything was delicious and flavorful. I ordered a New York Strip with shrimp. The steak was cooked to perfection, juicy and tender. The dish came with a side of vegetables and fingerling potatoes. The veggies were fantastic and very fresh. The flavors all complemented each other perfectly and I left feeling satisfied as the portion size was generous, lunch was great the next day!!! The service was top tier, Ben took great care of my family along with the entire staff who were all friendly and attentive ensuring we had everything that we needed. The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, making for a great dining experience. Looking forward to my next visit.

I am envious of local Floridians who can visit this OUTSTANDING culinary choice often. For a guy who avoids fish because it usually tastes, well, fishy; had I been blindfolded and asked what I was eating, I would have answered "heaven". The dish was grouper on a bed of ravioli in a light but perfectly match sauce. Perfect amount, perfect flavor! My wife's seabass on a bed of perfect risotto and mushrooms that was equally delightful. The owner spent time with us sharing his story of a lifetime as a restantuer and chef. He is also a proud father and grandfather. The one thing ha said that stuck with me when asked why, based on the exceptional quality of the food was " many people are used to eating fried seafood. We offer something different. " in all fairness, school has just started back so this is a bit of a lull period until September. Folks, don't wait. You have a very rare gem here. As a foodie, who has dined in James Beard restaurants in New Orleans and elsewhere, this restaurant could fit in easily. Portion sizes perfect, taste, heavenly

Perfect date night spot, especially with beach access close by to walk and see the sunset! We had the Thai Buffalo Shrimp, Lobster Flatbread and the CWG Burger and all were perfectly seasoned and cooked and full of flavor. The Summee Spritz was refreshing and service was some of the best we've had in a long time. And the ambiance and decor is modern, bright and relaxing. We'd definitely return and would recommend this restaurant for a great ambiance and meal.

We were there for a welcome dinner with 20 of us, which can be difficult, but the service was great. The tuna nachos were incredible and the bread pudding is a must try.

Nice inside and friendly staff. Food is pretty bland at least what we ordered. My son had a pasta with shrimp and lobster tail it was overcooked and pretty tasteless, the 'sauce' was apparently the water they cooked the pasta in. I had a 'Seafood enchilada' that was supposed to have 4 or 5 types of seafood in it but it was instead just cream and spinach with a couple of tiny pieces of scallop or shrimp in just a few of the bites. Overall not a good experience especially considering the price.

Great locally owned place, very welcoming to our service animal, great food and amazing hospitality. A storm hit while we were outside and they were gracious enough to bring us inside in the back with our pup. We will go back and highly recommend!

We arrived almost before closing, but we never felt rushed. Welcome was warm, service as if you are a VIP person :) tasty and well prepared meal. The shrimp cocktail starter is original, simply perfect steak. We are really satisfied with our dinner.

Service was great. It is a cute place but there are way too many tables in such a small space, making it extremely loud. We couldn’t enjoy our conversation. The food was not good. No seasoning or flavor whatsoever. Was really disappointed. Even my nirce didn’t like her kids meal. The chicken was worse than her school cafeteria she said. The prices were too high for that quality.

This restaurant was nothing but perfect! I came in with a party of 13 and we were given fast service. Our server Andrew was very helpful, informative, and answered all of our questions thoroughly. The hospitality from the entire staff including the amazing owner was superb! I personally got the grouper special which is personalized weekly. The fish was fresh and the risotto and mushroom patty underneath was quite tasty. They were very accommodating of a nut and dairy allergy that we had at the table. The owner came to our table and made sure that we had a great dinner, which gave us a great connection! Overall the dining experience at this restaurant was top notch, highly recommended!!!!

Exceptional food and service in a great atmosphere. Ryan was a helpful and attentive server as we enjoyed Pina colodas, an oaxaca old fashioned, fire and ice shrimp, strip steak, the grouper special, chicken ranch flatbread, and pasta/chicken off the kids menu. 2nd time here was as wonderful as the first time last summer.

Amazing food and amazing service. Ate here twice in a span of 4 days on a trip with my bestie. Every dish was absolutely delicious but don’t miss the tuna poke nachos or the sea bass with champagne risotto. The owner Chris was so friendly and the bar staff we interacted with (shout out to Heather and Caleb) made us feel so welcome. Don’t miss this place if you’re in or near Redington Shores!!

Great food, great service, everyone is so nice there, just one problem: we got seated way in the back corner at the very last table close to the emergency exit and nothing else. This was early in the evening and there were plenty of other tables available! Partly my fault because I should've said something, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt that maybe they were expecting a large party or something. That never happened, and when we left, there were still a decent amount of other tables available that we could've sat at. They sure never sat anyone else back there when we were there, not sure why we got singled out. Everything else is great about the place, just don't let them seat you in that little nook and cranny in the back with no windows, no air circulation, etc. That ruined what would've otherwise been a great experience.

The food here was excellent! The service was perfect. My husband who has a gluten allergy had many choices and was surprised by the empanada's. I loved the shrimp cocktail.

Coco Wood Grill is the best local spot! Went for a dinner with a large group of friends and the atmosphere, service, and food were top tier. The group favorite apps were the Poke Nachos and the Lobster Bisque. The favorite mains were the Sea Bass and Lobster Ravioli. Our server Ryan was a doll and made our experience amazing. I will be returning soon!

The service was excellent he did a great job and the food came very quickly but unfortunately that was the highlight of the night. I had the Pork Chop and I found it to be between warm and room temp. It was rather dry and flavorless for $36 very dissatisfying. My wife had the crab cake sliders and they were fishy and mushy. We more than likely will not return.

Benjamin's server was great! My complements go all out to the Chef magnificent! I highly recommend the crab cakes & the 14oz pork chop entree.

We had our FAVORITE dish there; never disappointed and have had many dishes. We have taken numerous friends that have returned with their families/others as well.

Saw the great reviews and thought we’d stop in. I gave an extra star for the tasty but small empanadas. I wish we had taken photos of the rotten salad we were served. The male host was chewing either food or gum, the waiter couldn’t be bothered after we ordered because we weren’t that hungry and were splitting our food. When we brought the 2/3 of the blackened shrimp salad that was rotten to his attention, he brought us a small replacement of salad which at that point we chose not to eat. The shrimp however was good, chef is good. Overpriced and designed like a McDonalds. Wouldnt have minded paying the prices if the service food and atmosphere were worth it. (2) small pork empanadas were tasty but very small and overpriced. Rotten salad a huge no no in the industry. No manager to address the issue as is standard in a good restaurant! Don’t waste your time. Not the 5 star restaurant they think they are! Went to Seabreeze the night before I highly recommend that place right up the street great atmosphere friendly staff great drinks service food not over price right on the water.

Fantastic food and service at CocoWood!! Our server Ronda was wonderful as well and her recommendation/service was top notch!! We had the BEST lobster bisque I’ve ever tasted, as well as the Sea Bass and risotto which was phenomenal. Definitely looking forward to the next time we’re in town to go again!!!

We love coming to Coco Wood Grill. It has a nice atmosphere to it, very clean, the staff is wonderful, and the food is absolutely fantastic. The menu itself has a variety of appetizers and main dishes to choose from. So most people will find some they are craving. The owners will come out throughout lunch and dinner service to speak with the patrons and ensure everyone is having a good time and is being taken care of from their servers. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys a great meal.

I took my family of 5 to CoCo Wood Grll for dinner on April 24, 2024. I will start out by saying the food, for our group, was not very good and was way overpriced. We had been to Guppy's by the Beach the night before and, wow, same prices but spectacular food. We went at 5:00PM and we were the only table being seated and served. Service for one table was okay, however for being the only table, we had to ask for salt and pepper, extra napkins, and a clean fork. HERE IS THE BIG THING TO BE AWARE OF... The next day four out of five of us came down with severe food poisoning. We were in bed all day and part of the next day. (vacation time lost) We quickly realized that 4 of us had shared in sampling the lobster bisque and the the one person that did not, was not sick. My daughter called the next day and spoke with a manager who had no empathy, or concern. Manager simply stated that he would take her number and have the owner call her. (...still waiting on that call) In addition, manager made the comment that, "We aren't serving the Lobster BIsque today." There was not any type of apology or concern from this restaurant. Food safety standards are not up tp par. There are too many other great choices up and down the strip that serve better food at more reasonable prices that won't ruin your vacation.

I love this restaurant. I am a local that will recommend Coco Wood Grill to all my friend. The owners are always at the restaurant and talking to customers which is rare. The food is creative and the best on the island. My wife's favorite dish is the Seabass with champagne lobster risotto. For me, I enjoy their pork chop which they change weekly. One thing I like is that we can bring a bottle of wine and they only charge small corkage fee unlike other places. They have a great little bar. I recommend going early and grabbing a cocktail before dinner. We will be back soon.

They were very accommodating with our large party and the server was super friendly. The food is amazing, the chris clams are a must as well as the crab cake grilled cheese. And they have their own free parking huge plus.

So many people only write a review when things go wrong. Well we went there a second time and again amazing. Give this place a try. Make reservations as they are always busy. Bravo Chris Bravo. Went here for dinner after hearing how good it was from friends. So glad we came. The food is fresh and creative, the lobster bisque was amazing and the chefs special grouper was perfect. The bacon jam burger is the best on the beach. The owner came by to say hello, nice touch. You don't see owners anymore in restaurants checking on their guests. The bread pudding was perfect.

We really enjoyed ourselves and have already made a reservation to go back. Make reservations as they get really busy by 6. The owner even came to our table to check on us and chatted. Nice touch.

Dinner last night was so good, we sat outside and enjoyed the weather, while we still can lolol. I decided to go with the grouper special the chef prepared that day and...ya'll...when I say this dish was bursting with flavor...Holy smokes! The grouper was covered with Italian breadcrumbs, laying over a delish polenta cake and some sort of I think red bell pepper sauce the angels made. And then the spinach florentine sauce on top...I was dead...it was so good, I ate every bite. It was also paired with Oysters, however they are not my thang so hubs scarfed those down. This is such a nice addition to the beach eating options! Please go and check out this quaint cute restaurant if you haven't already!!!

Coco Wood Grill is our new favorite restaurant. My husband and I came here for the first time this past weekend and were blown away. The food is delectable, the staff and owners really care and are so kind, and the ambiance is coastal with an elegant yet casual vibe. My husband had the Italian crusted grouper special with scallops rockefeller, the dish was perfectly balanced and the sauces complemented the fish wonderfully. I had the lobster bisque, which was the best I’ve ever had and has become the new standard for lobster bisque excellence to me. I also had the lobster ravioli which was absolutely amazing. We were also impressed with the drink menu, they offer a number of yummy specialty drinks. The grand finale was the made in house bread pudding, it was outrageous, crunchy on the outside but creamy on the inside. Overall, we had an amazing experience and will be back to enjoy more menu options soon!

If I could give a zero I would. 4 dinners ordered. Waited an extended period of time after the appetizers were cleared. When the food came it was cold. Took the plates back and "reheated the fish" 😲. The sauce for the Seafood Diablo is the same sauce used on my granddaughter's pasta. NO flavor, empty and closed clam and mussels and no lump crabmeat added as advertised. VERT disappointed.

Went here with my husband and 2 ladies we met on the beach. Was sitting there having a good time and laughing. No profanity not being obnoxious. The young waiter Ryan came over and very rudely told us that we need to be quiet. The restaurant barely had anybody in it (which should of been a clue). We asked for the bill for the drinks we were having and the waiter walked away and took his time. This is a vacation town with a lot of tourist in the area. We walked across the street to Seabreaze Restaurant and was given the best service and food. Great atmosphere had a man playing the guitar and playing soft music. Best decision we ever made was walking across the street.

Great experience! Evelyn was an amazing server. She was so sweet. Had the tuna stack and the Parmesan crusted grouper special. So good! Decided on the banana rum old fashioned instead of dessert. If you’ve never had a smoked old fashioned this is one to try. Not too sweet. Very tasty.

Where to begin.. from the time we were seated till we paid our bill the service was excellent. The owner visited our table and asked how our experience was going. He answered our questions and made us feel extremely comfortable. Now for the food... I've dined in many restaurants in my time and the flavors that we enjoyed here were some of the best I've experienced. From the smoked flavored cocktails to the main entries our pallet was celebrating. Thanks Chris we will be back.

Flavors were great, staff were attentive and knowledgeable, ambiance was just right for a beachy fine dining spot. Loved the Mahi & Shrimp, the Conch fritters were fine but the grouper bruschetta was a bit underwhelming - not the ideal preparation for my taste buds. Complimentary bread service provided, though the rolls are run of the mill. Very good, but for the price it could be even better.

We have passed this place many times and have always wanted to stop, but tonight was our first time. Dinner and cocktails were great, but what stood out was the service. We frequent many restaurants in this area and always get mediocre service at best. Tonight was different, Benjamin was our waiter and he was FANTASTIC!! I recently dined at Coco Wood Grill and, regrettably, our experience did not meet expectations. Having spent many years in the hospitality industry myself, I always approach dining out with understanding and patience. The server attending to us was commendable for their effort, and the quality of the food, under the circumstances, was reasonable. Our order included a NY Strip steak intended to be shared between my 12-year-old and myself, requested at a medium-rare temperature. Unfortunately, it arrived well-done. The staff promptly acknowledged the oversight and took the steak back for correction, for which we were grateful. However, the replacement steak took over 20 minutes to arrive and was served rare, further delaying our meal. This meant that the rest of my family’s meals became cold as they waited, and my child was unable to eat the steak or the sides which had also cooled considerably. While our server kindly offered a complimentary dessert in response to the situation, the absence of a manager to address our concerns was notable. In my experience managing businesses, effective problem resolution is key, and unfortunately, it felt like this aspect was lacking during our visit. As a result, our dinner as a family was disrupted, and despite a bill reflective of our initial order, including appetizers and drinks, the meal was ultimately unsatisfactory for us all. I believe strongly in the power of communication and constructive feedback in the hospitality industry. It’s through these channels that improvements are made and customer satisfaction is enhanced. I hope this feedback serves as an opportunity for Coco Wood Grill to review and possibly improve their service and food quality management. We live locally and are always supportive of local businesses. It is with a heavy heart that we share this experience, hoping for positive changes that will enhance future diners’ experiences. This was my first visit to Coco Wood Grill. I made a reservation and we were seated immediately. Our water glasses were filled right away and our server, Benjamin, was promptly at the table to take drink orders and answer any questions. He explained the specials and we ordered drinks and appetizers. The appetizers were at our table within 10 minutes. We had the soup of the day, Lobster Bisque, Tuna Stack, and Tuna Poke Nachos. The bisque was creamy and loaded with flavor, delicious. The tuna appetizers had very generous portions of marinated raw ahi tuna and were delectable. For entrees, we had the Asian Salmon, Seabass a la Champagne, and the Fish and Chips Special. Just as we were deciding to hold off on finishing all of our appetizers, to leave room for our entrees, our very attentive server Benjamin showed up and asked if we were ready for our entrees. That is something I don't often see; a server so attentive to timing. It was extra, and very appreciated. Within a couple of minutes, he brought all of our entrees at the same time, piping hot, and looking fantastic. The Asian Salmon was very well-balanced with its brown sugar and honey drizzle. I usually avoid ordering this dish because it comes out too sweet but Coco Wood's chef balanced this sauce perfectly with the other spices and it just gave a hint of sweet, very appetizing. The Fish and Chips were delightful. The fish had a very enticing thin, crispy coating of breading and the haddock inside was juicy and flavorful, very enjoyable. Lastly, the Seabass a la Champagne, which our server Benjamin indicated is a specialty dish of theirs, was the show-stopper of the evening. It was a very generous portion of delectably flaky, perfectly seasoned, and expertly cooked seabass on top of a mouth-watering champagne risotto that was cooked to perfection, all topped with an impeccably balanced sherry sauce and lobster claw meat. The dish was luscious. I couldn't wait to take another bite! Throughout our time there, our server Benjamin was highly attentive. We never had to wait for drink refills, he checked on us regularly and was an absolute gem of a server. Overall, I highly recommend Coco Wood Grill. The food, service, and ambience, were superb!

The bruschetta chicken contained nothing that bruschetta contains: no garlic, no tomato, no basil. - served over a bed of potatoes mashed with.. cauliflower? Perhaps the least authentic bruschetta anything. Ever.

The food, service and atmosphere was fantastic. We had a reservation for my wife, daughter and myself. When we arrived they had a table ready with a high chair as we had requested. The service was great and so was the food.
