Not sure how this has such a high rating maybe it used to be better? Smells dingy, food came out cold. No one at our table finished their food and we were starving. Home fries are deep fried and not cooked all the way through. Eggs looked fake, son’s omelet was smothered in sauce that was tasteless. Just not good. Apple fritters were very dense, and gross.

Service was good. The busboy had no regard for hygienic operation. He wiped all tables with the same disgusting towel for over one hour. I got a loose stomach by mid morning.

The food was excellent The service was great I would highly recommend it I'm going to eat my breakfast there every morning that I'm down here on vacation if you're down in Daytona I definitely would go there for breakfast.

Great spot in South Daytona at the end of a small strip mall. Breakfast was a hit...fast and plentiful....server was on point. They even have scrapple..if ykyk.... It's everything it's cracked up to be..

I enjoy coming here for breakfast my only complaint is I ordered off the side menu I love a good bowl of grits and bacon but they only come as a side and I thought and even mentioned when I ordered I'd have a bowl of grits with bacon and toast. But when it came out it was a small cup that I'd get if I had ordered off the regular menu that included 2 eggs... but I asked the waitress she said no that's the way it comes I thought she'd at least bring me out another small cup grits isn't that expensive to please a customer 🤔

Lori, our server was excellent -friendly & efficient. Brrrrrr freezing cold in the restaurant !!! Even the servers were wearing sweatshirt jackets over their shirts and long pants. Our server said they had to keep it cold otherwise the floor does something weird!?! HUH?!? So they sacrifice the comfort of the patrons instead of addressing the issue of the floor? Our food got cold before we were even close to finishing. YUCK -cold eggs and biscuits and gravy. On the plus side; they keep menus and flatware on tables which is nice because you can start perusing the menu without waiting for a server. The sausage gravy was acceptable. The biscuits tasted more like a shortbread because they were sweet. I didn't care for the sweetness in the biscuits. I would prefer just a regular biscuit, especially with gravy. The bacon was deep fried, which we didn't mind because it was nice & crisp. The food was okay but because the restaurant was so cold we shivered through our meals and the food turned ice cold, making it unappealing. We won't go back.

Came for breakfast. Upon entering establishment first impressions were very good. Clean cool atmosphere. Greeted almost immediately and sat down. Staff were very friendly and well organized from what I could see. Kitchen staff communicating and food flying out to customers. We were not disappointed with the food quality. Absolutely delicious. Price was also on point feeding a family of 4 for just over $50 with orange juice and tea for all. Highly recommended if your in the area we will be back for sire

Homestyle, delicious American breakfast. Eggs with grits and toast was good and so was the French toast. My wife and I loved the food and the atmosphere.

We were tired after a long drive and read good reviews on the cracked egg. Service was fast, We had a good breakfast. The home fries tasted deep fried in oil that needed to be changed. But everything else was pretty good. Would recommend

Stopped for breakfast and had a selection of meats with eggs. The meats were very dry and flavorless, and the hash browns were also dry having a pre-cooked yesterday appeal. When someone finally took my order, it was quickly delivered. However, several servers stopped at my table to take my beverage order, but never brought the coffee, too busy chatting. Won't return.

Loved the lunch and service. Had a Patty melt and onion rings. Was delicious .

I don't know about this place. Got the corn beef hash omelet and not only did the omelet look anorexic but the taste was very off putting. Flat and bland and the portions of grits was in a little kids bowl. We aren't hard to please but honestly the prices aren't that reasonable and Chef Ramsey needs to come here because they need a reality check. I really can't stand wasting my money on food that tastes like it came out of an MRE. My wifes food was weird also and had beard hair on the plate upon arrival. I'm confused as to how this place has these high reviews 😳 and maybe in the past they were jamming but from what I witnessed I'd rather go to Dennys lol. Tighten it up guys because these are the reviews that count.

Dont understand the 4.6 review. Went here based on that thinking it would be good but it was not. I hope we dont get sick because this food was not good and there was a beard hair on the corner of my plate.

Sign outside says voted best breakfast... it was good but I can't say it's the best breakfast I've ever had. The staff was friendly and we were seated quickly. Prices were great for the amount and quality of food we received.

Food was good but our service the worst. I asked the waitress 3 times for milk she completely ignored me it took my husband to ask for it for her to bring me the milk. I felt a sense of racism as I am a women of a darker complexity with braids but my husband isn't. Definitely wouldn't go back ever. So sad that there's still people so ignorant in this country

We found this spot on our Monday morning walk on the beach. The breakfast was served really fast and everything was hot and delicious. It is definitely a place we will visit again.

We had found this little place while driving back from a disappointment at this fishing charter and figured we would stop for breakfast to cheer us up, we were greeted with our very nice waitress who had a smile on her face and was very nice to us. The service was amazing and is the only reason. They are still making it because the food was terrible, the potatoes I had got messed up In the kitchen, they accidentally put brown sugar on my potatoes which tasted horrendous, overall just bad food. But thank-you to my waitress because she was able to make our day a little bit better

First time in Daytona. Was recommended this restaurant by an employee at Publix. Really glad we listened and came. We had some delicious breakfast with a pecan waffle as a treat. The husband enjoyed his omelet and I enjoyed my eggs with bacon. The bacon was super thick and not greasy at all, just how I like it. The toast was a tad bit cold and hard, but still tasty. The food came out super fast. Our server Gina was great. Constantly coming over to check on her tables and ensuring we were doing okay. Will definitely be returning.

The Cracked Egg is such a fun breakfast joint! The decor and music give 50’s diner vibes. The food is absolutely delicious. I ordered the shrimp and grits, which was divine. Everyone in my party was pleased with their meal. We left full and satisfied!

So on a little 3 day vacation and wanted some breakfast. This place was highly recommended and we gave it a shot. To begin, the atmosphere is great! Very retro style diner with old 50’s music playing. The service is quite stellar as well. Very friendly and attentive. The food itself is decent but nothing to write home about. Seemed a little pricey as our bill with tip was $78 for breakfast for 4. Anyway, cool little spot, would certainly come again.

Food was OK. Scrambled eggs = carton eggs, biscuits are frozen (and hard), gravy was not hot. Service was good. Waitress was attentive to our party and offered refills on drinks throughout our meal. Atmosphere was the best part. Greeted as we entered the establishment, cool pictures and decor, neat diner style environment. Apple fritters were the best (and only hot part) of our meal.

I recently visited The Cracked Egg with my parents for brunch and had a delightful experience. Despite a busy start, the atmosphere quickly became calm as the crowd thinned out. The service was quick and courteous, with our professional server promptly taking our drink orders and serving us coffee. The food was fantastic. We all enjoyed different omelets and the meat lover's special. My omelet, topped with hollandaise sauce, was particularly impressive, and the grits and roasted potatoes were cooked to perfection. Parking was convenient right outside, and the location is ideal, just across from a beach entrance. The restaurant is accessible with a ramp for handicapped individuals and offers a diverse menu with both breakfast and lunch options. Although tempted by the burgers, I opted for breakfast and was not disappointed. The Cracked Egg offers great value with its affordable prices, wonderful service, and a charming location off A1A. I highly recommend giving this place a visit. Have a great time!

Everything was good and service was excellent

The Cracked Egg is just like an old friend and visiting family. The food is always perfect and service outstanding. All the servers are really nice and friendly and our favorite (Donna) always greets us like we just came home. The place has the old school diner feel and the pictures of old time beach life and signage helps complete the atmosphere. The corned beef hash (family recipe) is like nothing we’ve ever tasted and so delicious! Highly recommend this place for wonder food and service.

You absolutely can't go wrong with the Cracked Egg Diner! It was the best meal we have eaten while on Daytona Beach. The portions were huge and delicious. The apple fritters were my favorite, but the omelets and pancakes were also very good. We ordered take-out, so I can't comment on the atmosphere. This place is awesome!

This place is so good!!! The best “home cooking” I’ve ever experienced at a restaurant!! 100/10 recommend! Our waitress, Lisa was awesome!! The sausage gravy is so good along with the home fries!

I eat at the cracked egg when I'm in the area. It's great food and atmosphere. Service is usually good but today I saw people sat after me get there orders in but no one took my order. Well my money isn't worth wasting if I'm not a valued customer. I hate rating it low but it's frustrating to get passed by waiting to get service

Nice place. Interesting decor, a lot to look at! Breakfast was good. Huge pancakes, over easy eggs. Bacon was undercooked a bit, but ok. (I like crispy bacon). Hubby's biscuit not homemade (he said frozen), but good. We did like a few other breakfast places better. But all in all, a good eat. Not to sound picky, but. Wait staff (nice) could be a bit more attentive (had to ask for more water). They were not terribly busy at the time. And they could be tired, it was brunch time then, may have had a breakfast rush.

I was excited to eat at this local restaurant after having an amazing breakfast there 2 years ago. I was disappointed. I ordered eggs and bacon . Everything arrived lukewarm. I like my breakfast hot! I sent it back and they brought me hot eggs and lukewarm bacon and hash browns. What the heck??? I believe they cook the bacon and hash browns ahead and keep them under a warmer because my husbands hash browns were only warm too. We won’t be back.

Great little spot for breakfast in Daytona Beach Shores! We walked right in and sat down. They brought kid menus for the kids. Staff was sweet, prices were reasonable, and the food was amazing. Highly recommend!

Road tripping and stopped for breakfast. Had the crab cakes benedict. Really well done Diner food. No frills, but all the simple details were perfect. Service was friendly, polite, and quick. And of all things there is a bidet in the ladies room!

Nice place for breakfast, me and my husband split the cracked egg omelette, was pleasantly surprised when the waitress brought out our order already split on two plates. Was plenty big for the two of us and quite delicious

It's a great place for breakfast. It's across the street from the beach. I've been there a couple of times and wasn't disappointed.

It was just ok, the food was bland, I had to put salt and pepper on everything!! The coffee was watery and the pancakes were flat and cold and seemed like they were reheated! Biscuit and gravy very bland. I guess if you come be prepared to season your own food. The potatoes were good but that was about it. Sorry but we are on a quest for a great breakfast.

A busy yet fun place to eat with friends. The food was excellent as the coffee woke you up. The waitstaff were very prompt even when the tables were all full. Highly recommend eating here

Took my order. Another waitress brought my food. Dropped off my bill and never returned and never will I. Worst experience I have ever had at this establishment.

Always delicious and the staff is engaging and friendly. A great locally owned restaurant. It can get quite busy during the weekends and events so plan accordingly. Glad to live locally and frequent when they need the local business.

Nice lil mom and pop style restaurant (yes I'm aware it's 2 brothers)... It's nice to support local, but usually local also gives back like military or LEO discount... They do not... it's sad.

Wer in Daytona Beach Lust auf ein typisch amerikanisches Frühstück hat, sollte diesem Diner unbedingt einen Besuch abstatten. Das Frühstück schmeckt hervorragend, der Kaffee ebenso. Der Kaffee wird sogar kostenfrei nachgeschenkt und die Portionsgrößen lassen sich wirklich sehen (Achtung: bei den Pancakes lieber die kleinere Portion mit einem oder zwei Pancakes bestellen, reicht völlig aus). Klare Weiterempfehlung!

What a great place to start your day with an amazing breakfast. The eggs Chesapeake was a true Maryland crab cake!

As a Marylander I am always leary of ordering a crab cake outside of Maryland. I asked about the crabcake benny and the server assured me that it was a true Maryland crab cake. It did not disappoint! It was all crab, 100% authentic, and delicious. The other dishes ordered were left with empty plates and smiles on everyone's faces. Next time we visit we will be back.

This place was adorable!! It was literally packed but we only waited about 20 minutes for a table, and were served so quickly. Our waitress, Melissa, was so sweet and made our day. And to top it all off the food was delicious! Definitely will be sure to come back next time we're in the area.

B&G were good. They have Apple Fritters that are excellent with your breakfast.

Excellent dinner. Always busy while we were in town. Hot coffee and an excellent selection off breakfast date with lunch sandwiches available after 11am. Seating for over 100 plus a bar but not at all cramped. I had the eggs Benedict and it was very good. Breakfast potatoes are excellent. They also serve Mimosas if you like alcohol with your breakfast or brunch! Fast and pleasant service, can’t go wrong. Highly recommended.

Family owned place that treats you like family. One of the owners was at the front of the house greeting everyone. They had a wide variety of Eggs Benedicts. I got the Eggs Chesapeake, which is poached eggs on a crab cake that was pretty much all crab. Delicious.

Crowded and fun little place. We were really pleased to be greeted warmly by the owner at the door. That was a nice gesture. Food was delicious. Had plenty of leftovers. I had the waffle and sausage. Others had meat lovers special and the avocado toast. I bought a couple of t-shirts for souvenirs before I realized they really didn't have another place to pack them. Had to go out and buy another suitcase but it's all good and delicious

So this is my 3rd time eating here. I'm from out of town and everytime I come thru this is my 1st stop. It has a vintage moms kitchen feel. The staff is always friendly and efficient. The food is delicious and the portions are a great size. I wish there was a dinner similar to this near where I live.

I used to love this place. Over the last 3 visits with some time in between, the food is unfortunately not great. This visit as usual I ordered the Irish Benedict, The corned beef hash was overly mushy. The eggs were cooked medium and jellied so sent back and got more of the same. English muffin was stale and hard and the home fries were semi stale and warm. Also the toast we had was soft. The service was great and the waitress was very polite and helpful though!

They always have a crowd when I have been there, which I believe speaks to their food and friendly staff. The food is very good and flavorful. Old fashioned diner luncheonette. Cute atmosphere. Across the road from beach. Excellent food. Kids burger was 1/3 pound. Huge. Excellently cooked. Fries great. Chicken salad freshly made. Philly Cheese steak well prepared and tasty. Onion rings great. Everything was perfect. Bill was inexpensive. Amazing value. Lots of old tyme phones signs paraphenelia. Cute little place.

Busy place, the food was tasty and appeared to be made in house. The staff was friendly and attentive. I would recommend this as a good choice for breakfast.

The restaurant is much bigger than what it looks like from the outside, so don't let a lot of cars in the lot keep you from stopping.
