Didn’t know an establishment could operate without manager. Spent $165 on dinner and drinks at this place only to be told AFTER my meal was delivered that they didn’t have the short rib my date ordered. She had to order then and we ate separately as my food would’ve been cold had I waited another 30 min. When I asked what they could do to rectify this situation I was told that there is no manager on duty so nothing could be done. I asked who was in charge of the restaurant then and was given bewildered stares and silence. When I asked who the highest ranking individual there was I was told the chef. After prodding the waitress to ask him what could be done she reluctantly went and then returned saying that he can’t do anything either. This would be fine at Jack in the box or checkers or something, but at a restaurant charging these kind of exorbitant prices for lackluster food and drinks it was shocking. Also, apparently by even asking I embarrassed my date so that went sideways as well, she also vomited up the disgustingly greasy food a few hours later. Two thumbs down , to the restaurant, the flavorless greasy food, and the lackluster overpriced mixed drinks, but especially to the service and the lack of responsibility taken by the automaton employees. This is a perfect example that looks aren’t everything, and the better looking is sometimes bland and insulting.

The cocktails? Pure artistry. The vibe at Deland Hotel is like a warm hug - seriously. Cozy, cute, and quaint, just how I like it. If you're not there yet, you're missing out on the local magic! Beautifully crafted cocktails & culinary creations. Go taste the town!

First time here and definitely not the last! The ambiance was wonderful, it was so serene. Loved the music. Chris was amazing, great conversation and very tentative to his customers! His drinks are great! He suggested the papas bravas fat boy style and they were DELICIOUS! Also met the owner and she was great and personable! Would totally recommend!

First time here and it was amazing!! Chris took care of us at the bar and made us some delicious cocktails. The Saturn, Jonny Utah and the Zombie were all so delicious. The papas bravas were incredible!! Chris suggested we add extra toppings which we did and just wow... We also had the cheese sticks and let’s just say nothing was left on our plates. The ambiance was relaxing ,dim and they played music that everyone would enjoy. The owner and staff were all so kind and welcoming. Such a vibe! Check this place out you won’t be disappointed.

The bar is located at the historic DeLand hotel. The newly renovated bar area inside the lobby provides a much larger space and can accommodate larger groups. The drinks are all fantastic and the staff are extremely accommodating. This is our favorite place to get a drink in town.

The new place is taking shape. The setting is comfortable with plenty of room. They had a guy come in and play some fantastic background music. Very relaxing environment and plan to go more often now that the renovations are complete. My husband enjoys the carried selections of bourbon that they offer.

Alex, Dustin & Gabby were absolutely fantastic. I cannot compliment their service, knowledge and craftsmanship enough. We appreciated every ounce of creativity, attentiveness and overall pleasant experience it was to sit at the bar with this group of fine people. Thank you again and we hope to return soon.

One of my favorite places for a well thought out craft cocktail. The Gold Rush is my favorite, but others in my party were just as enthusiastic about their choices. Now they have food. Pub fare, best French fries around!

The bar itself is HOT. The lobby is air conditioned and filled with comfy chairs. Much more relaxing out there.

Excellent cocktails and friendly bartenders. The atmosphere has an old school speakeasy feeling to it. I recommend the B&B Knees... Gin, lemon juice, honey, and lavender bitters. You can order food at the bar, or go to the restaurant. Good elevated food at reasonable prices.

Visited for the first time on 9-Mar 2022. I took my son there for his first drink. We imbibed in a wonderful single malt, he did not really enjoy it (but he finished it) so the bartender suggested a Gold Rush which he did enjoy. We also enjoyed a delicious dinner and some great service. The bartender Dustin was outstanding, a friendly, knowledgeable bartender who made sure we were taken care of properly. We ordered food as well, I had the short rib dinner, and it was very good. The rib was tender and had good flavor. The rice was good, I am not much of a rice guy so I do not have much to compare it to. My son had the steak sandwich and it was outstanding! Very huge portion, and the taste was great. He also had a side of mac & cheese, another huge portion that was very good. The prices were in the right range, the food prices were very reasonable considering the small operation and the liquor prices were right in line with other bars. We would both recommend the place for anyone looking for a nice dinner and a quiet drink. I will be returning with my wife for the occasional dinner. Looking forward to chatting with Dustin again.

This is a sensational bar run by a couple of master-class bartenders. I tried a classic cocktail, which was perfectly constructed, showing their deep understanding of the fundamentals. Then I tried a unique invented cocktail, which was a masterpiece. Elite-tier cocktailcrafting. Also the whole establishment is an unexpected find in a small town. I have never found a classic bar of this quality in a metro area with fewer than 2 million people.

It's a must in Deland. The drinks I had were made by a ballerina of mixology. Truly a unique experience.
