Great food.. large portions and friendly staff!

Love the double lobster roll. It's just simply seasoned served with hot drawn butter but it's soooo good. My family also ordered the fried shrimp and steak sandwich which they said were great too. We've been back multiple times. Restaurant is usually clean and the times we went, it wasn't very busy. The best part about DJ's Clam Shack is that the food tastes fresh and has something for everyone, even our picky-eater.

We went for fish and chips. The portions are good size. Very friendly people. It was quite when we went.

Arrived at 8:19 and was closed… door sign says closed at 8:30 and so does Google. This is Aug so still busy time??? It looked like they had closed well before we arrived as all chairs were up, etc. I understand that closing time is what you serve up until… and clean up happens after that!

Absolutely unparalleled warm lobster rolls. Been to the original in Key West and this is just as great !!

There was a line at the door to get in when they opened no lie for the special they were running...lobster roll was the best in the united States no lie and the chicken tenders were great too ....for the non sea food lover....will return of course

I am from Maine. My grandfather was a lobsterman and I’m a lobster snob. When I’ve gotten Maine lobster rolls, they’ve always been a let down (if I’m not in Maine). I got the overstuffed lobster roll heated. It was the best lobster roll I’ve ever had. Had the clam chowder too and the flavor was excellent. I’d like more clams and less potatoes but it was still very good! This hidden gem is worth a trip!

New Englanders: Ive been 25 years in FL, from North Shore of Boston, this place has the best lobster roll Ive had in FL. If you get it double-stuffed, just like the old days at Kelly's on Revere Beach.

I am a New Englander, and this lobster roll is the real deal.

We like this place and try to go every time we come to the beach. Normally I get the clam strips and they are so good. This time I got the cracked conch. It really wasn't my choice to get that my husband kind of ordered it for me thinking that's what I wanted, but I would have preferred the clams again or to try the fish and chips.

Lots of deep fried food and too salty.

A great place for simple fried and steamed seafood. All the classics. Delicious lobster rolls, french fries and little necks. Good options for kids. Good drink options. Market price on some items but good pricing on basics and appetizers.

The Ipswich clams are so small that you can't help but over cook them, and the crumb batter was lackluster. The lobster roll was good. The fries were overdone as well.

Clam chowder was tasty. Lobster Roll special was very good. Great, friendly service. Location is very close to the beach. Well worth a visit.

Amazing oyster Po boy and clam basket

My aunt and I drove by DJs and decided we would have lunch there before my family and I flew back to Texas. My aunt & I are from Massachusetts originally. I haven't had fried clams or clam chowder in YEARS!!!! I live in Texas and they don't sell those dishes here. My aunt & I were both very impressed with the food, the serving size, how delicious everything was, the service, prices - ALL OF IT! Definitely a super cute little clam shack of a hidden gem! I can't wait to visit her again so we can go back. Thank you for fulfilling our New England hearts and taste buds with excellent food! It's a very close 2nd to NE, being outside of the region!

Best lobster roll we’ve ever had!!!

Needed to find a little northern seafood fare in FL after a few days. Cannot turn down fried full belly clams when given the opportunity. They did not disappoint. A bit pricy but a good portion. Wife had the conch fritters and 6 yo downed the fish and chips. Did I mention $4 beer (including local craft)?!! Great place to eat!!

It's Father's day , we were at the resorts about 100 feet away. My lady wanted a lobsta roll. So we walked to DJ's. We got the lobster roll, fried mahi mahi, steamed clams and clam chowder. Everything was fire, on point. Service great, They were featured on dine in, drive in and dives. This definitely one of our new spots.

Stopped by due to recommendation. Got the hot lobster roll and the kids some chicken tenders and conch. Food was good, not great. The lobster roll had a good helping of lobster, maybe 1/4 lb.. was good on the Texas toast for what it is. Did leave us a little wanting, but can't complain with the quality of it. I'd eat here again.. the kids liked the chicken and conch, maybe the conch a bit more.. fun little place and friendly staff.

I just came home with my overstuffed lobster roll Prepared as I always like it on a toasted bun. When I got home and opened my sandwich, my bun was not toasted, it was soggy and it was not full of claw meat like it always has been. It had shredded body meat in the bottom and some claw meat on the sides and it was utterly tasteless & tough.

Mom's cold lobster roll had much more meat in it than warm roll for some reason. The meat was fresh and perfectly cooked. The sweet potato fries were great.

Went and got the lobster roll special for 17 dollars lt was excellent. I live close by so as long as the special keeps going once a month I’ll be there and even more often then that. The service is also excellent. Recommend this place highly.

Second time getting the lobster roll. This time I splurged and got the over stuffed roll and wow did that satisfy. I definitely want to try the clams eventually and also the clam chowder im sure will not disappoint. Update after trying the steamed middle neck clams. Definitely get these they taste amazing.

After paying 31.00 for a lobster roll and fries i expected more lobster as it aas not worth the money charged. I will not patronage them ever again.

Oh heck yeah! Best real lobster rolls around! I had the warm lobster roll which was scrumptious and next time I'll have the cold lobster roll! Also excellent fries with malt vinegar that's a huge added bonus for this Maryland girl! Can't wait to go back!

Pretty expensive for them small clams, didn't know they were that small, could've got a dozen oysters for a bit higher price, they were tasty though.

This was a destination lunch for us specifically based on reviews. Had soup and mahi tacos. Said no fries because we don’t eat anything deep fried. Lunch was served with deep fried mahi and fries. Never have had fish tacos come out deep fried. Menu does not specify this. Explained again we don’t eat anything deep fried. Server / cook told us was too late. He couldn’t do anything for us. Left without touching lunch. As we were leaving said we should have ordered them grilled. Very expensive misuse of our money.

Brought my two boys here for a late lunch yesterday. One boy had the hot lobster roll, I had the cold lobster roll, and my youngest had the fish and chips with a cup of clam chowder. Everything was delicious, the lobster was amazing cooked and prepared perfectly. The fish and chips were great not overly breaded at all, and the clam chowder was great. Cute little place with some tables inside and outside. Service was great, you go right up to the counter and order and they bring it to you. Definitely recommend!! We will be back!

Best clam place on Clearwater. It’s actually located in Indian Beach, but definitely worth visiting. Small inside & outside seating. Had the fried clams the 1st time , they were delicious. Came back a 2nd time to get the steamed clams, OMG so good . Ordered an extra garlic bread to dip in the sauce. Had Jalapeño in it to add some heat. Can’t wait to go back.

I had the hot lobster roll and it was so amazing! The roll they put it on is so tasty and fluffy, and it’s a very full sandwich. It was only $25 with coleslaw.

It's a great place to eat on the beach. We enjoyed a lobster roll, some chicken fingers with fries served basket Style. The food was great. I would go back again.

When we could not find a parking space at the place we planned to go to, we ended up here. Not the more upscale place we planned to visit, but the food was delicious and the price was right. We had fried clams and a shrimp roll. Enjoyed them both immensely. It’s a casual place with excellent food and service.

Not what I thought it was going to be but it was great service, fast service and great food. Price was not bad too. If we are in the area we will be back.

My husband and I ate at DJ's on 2-20-24 around 3pm. I ordered Clams for dinner. I started getting sick to my stomach and diarhea by 7:30pm that night. Sick until 11:00pm. The clams were bad because that's what I could tell were bad. Beware if eating there.

Pricey. Lobster roll was decent, but I have had better. Fish tacos were good. If you like lobster I feel the trip to their competitor in St Pete is worth it.

Great service all around.Ive been here numerous times and thought with the special it would be a half filled roll and we were happily surprised that it was totally full and full of flavor and the clam chowder is the best I’ve had in years.Great beer and wine prices as well.Keep up the great food and service and the young girl and guy today worked great together as a team. Best lobster roll I've ever had!!

Party of 4. We ordered the smoothest, most flavourful and completely excellent clam chowder, and cracked conch tacos (done to toothsome perfection, not like rubber erasers), superior sweet onion rings. We only come to Indian Shores once or twice a year, and every time, DJ's has become number one on our "must do" list! We encourage everyone to give DJ's a taste. After all, if Guy Fieri likes it, who are we to second guess him?

Wow, that was awesome. Sweet potato fries were perfect. The hot lobster rolls was awesome. It's comical to read reviews on how the fresh lobster was expensive. It's because it's shipped fresh from Maine. This will be my monthly stop for sure.

As a local, this is my new fave place. The lobster roll, clam chowder and cracked conch and french fries were delicious. I will definitely be back and looking forward to trying the Ipswich clams soon.

The Garlic shrimp roll is amazing!!!!! They have some sort of homemade sauce that goes with the fries that was awesome as well. Highly recommend.

What a gem! We decided to check out this place during Taste of The Beaches, and everything was delicious! It's a small, unassuming place, but don't let that fool you. The food is outstanding! Best clam chowder we've had around here!

If you're in the mood for some delicious seafood, I highly recommend checking out the lobster roll at DJs. Not only is the lobster incredibly fresh and flavorful, but the roll itself is perfectly toasted and buttery. The portion size is generous, and it’s served hot or cold- your choice. I opted for a double stuffed, hot, and it was incredible. The restaurant's atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the service is friendly and attentive. Overall, I had a fantastic experience and would come back for more of that amazing lobster roll.

I've been here twice and have gotten the hot lobster roll both times. To be completely transparent, this is the only place I've ever eaten a hot lobster roll, so I don't have a great base of comparison, but I find it very delicious. The bread is perfectly browned and buttered, which makes it all the better. I gave 4 stars since it's quite expensive for a sandwich at a casual eatery, but I do understand that lobster comes with a price tag.

The food and service is spectacular! The clam chowder is the best. Highly recommend! The atmosphere reminds me of the jersey boardwalk.

Went there with my Bahamian friend for her to get cracked conch and conch fritters. The fritters were mushy and greasy and did not have much conch in them. She said the cracked conch was good. I had the clam strips...they were just okay...weren't really crunch, some of them were gooed together...for $16 I did not think it was a very good value....order at window, clean up table yourself. I won't go back...

This was the best Lobster roll we’ve ever had. The lobster was fresh and delicious, and the roll amazing. I the are only hear a few days and I can eat Lobster rolls for breakfast, lunch and dinner!

So dependable and satisfying....expensive, but worth it....the food and service are excellent, the only problem is (at least for our family) is our budget really doesn't allow a visit too often....(but that's really our problem)....we always get it to take home, so that helps a little....and honestly, I'd rather save up our dining-out dollars, and go here half as often, rather than go somewhere mediocre twice as often....the French fries are awesome....chicken tenders are also good, and of course the lobster rolls are fantastic....please bring back my other favorite, the coconut shrimp 🍤 🍤

Wir waren hier am 27.07.2023 und haben Fish & Chips gegessen. Das Essen wurde mit Soße und kleinen Salat serviert. Alles hat uns außerordentlich gut geschmeckt. Das Restaurant(Imbiss) ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert.

Stopped by here on vacation cause it was featured on Diners, drive ins, and dives. Really amazing lobster roll Herr. My boyfriend had it and was over the moon for it. I had some onion rings. Wished the batter would have been a slight different, ut they good whole slices of onions in them so that is a win.
