Just amazing how delicious this place is

Delicious! The spicy pork bulgogi is so tender and all of the side dishes, especially the cucumber kimchi, are fresh and tasty. The yook gaejang has a vibrant flavor and the shredded beef in it was also very tender. Awesome server as well. Excited to return soon!

A marvelous discovery for me. Stop reading this review and just go to Dooriban to be wowed. The food is delicious with huge portions. I had the short rib soup- full of meat and not mostly noodles. It came with sides which were amazing. The service is great and everyone is nice. The atmosphere is great. It used to be a fast food place. The vestiges remain but without that ‘ugh’ factor. A winner on all counts.

Dining at this establishment was such a pleasure. This really is a “hole in the wall” type of restaurant. Trust the reviews, the food is amazing, the service is good and the knickknacks are adorable. I had the Korean style chicken wings & Japchae, both dishes were delightful. Our servers John & Jae were really helpful and attentive. Will be coming back!

The signs... and the menus are written in Korean first. I like it so much. So we stopped by even though it wasn't meal time. I stopped by after picking up my eldest child, so I didn't have any thoughts about food. But we ordered sweet and sour pork, cold noodles, and dumplings and got them packaged. Can't beat the smell so delicious on the way home. He took it out and ate it~~^^ And we visited again today and had lunch. As expected, all the food I ordered today was delicious. The owner and staff are very friendly. Now that we've moved here, he explained things to my family who don't know much about it. This is a restaurant that makes me feel good every time I go. I think I will visit often in the future~♡

Dooriban is one of the best places in St. Pete. Full stop. The food is delicious, always comes out piping hot, and the people who work there are always kind. The beef bulgogi is my favorite, but the Korean fried chicken, kimchi pancakes, and japchae are all amazing. Their sweet and sour chicken is great, too. I can’t recommend this place highly enough!

This was food I have never tried. The young man explained the difference in the bibimbob and then told me about the sides which were a delight to eat. My husband had a bento meal which he enjoyed.

Went in for lunch, service was great and food was delicious! We got beef bulgogi which was cooked perfectly and had an amazing flavor. Also got beef short ribs which had a delicious flavor. A bit thicker than we were used to but really good. Sides were all tasty, definitely going back to try other entrees!

The most authentic and delicious Korean food in the Bay Area. It’s your 할머니 or mom’s cooking, so comforting and perfect every time. The bossam is undeniably the best around.

My husband and I love authentic Korean dishes and THIS is the place to find it 🍜🥬 The dishes make you feel like you’re in a cozy Korean home and they were perfect in every bite! We will be coming back and the owners are beyond kind and sweet and excited when trying the food! 🌱❤️

The food was not very authentic had no flavor there’s definitely better taste Korean places.

Hole-in-the-wall sort of place in an old fast food building giving a true "locals" vibe. The food was great, and the service was prompt with an attentive waitstaff. The udon noodles and beef bulgogi were delicious. Arrive just a little before "normal" dinner time to beat the rush. We will definitely be returning!

My experience dining in Dooriban was AMAZING. Upon entering, I was greeted with the warm and welcoming faces of the servers and the owners. The staff was very attentive and nice (thank you John and Mari! You were so amazing). I was very surprised with the portions that were served. I ended up having to take the food home as. If you’re first dining here, I would recommend the Khanpungki Chicken, it was crispy and tangy, with a little touch a heat. Additionally the beef bulgogi with the lettuce wrap set pairs amazingly. The subtle Korean music also adds to the ambience of the restaurant. Overall, 10/10 dining experience would come here again with family and friends.

Nice little Korean restaurant with your basic but far from minimal menu. Everything we've ever ordered in the past over the years has been prepared and tasted very well. Seafood pancake is always a must. Bulgogi is pretty good. Galbi is pretty average but still one of my favorite go to orders. Interior isn't bad. A former Taco Bell that they never really remodeled and just threw in different tables and chairs. Not a bad thing just an observation. We're there for the good food not the decor or ambiance. Staff is very friendly and accommodating, which if you've been to a lot of mom and pop Korean restaurants, you'll know that's not always the case. We'll be returning often.

We had the Beef Bulgogi and the Spicy Pork Bilgogi. They were both great. The parking lot is deceiving. It looked empty but once inside almost every table was full. It's in an old Taco Bell and is very clean and comfortable inside. The service was welcoming, friendly and helpful. I can't wait to go back.

Best Korean food in the area and we have a lot of choices. We sampled from all over the menu including bibimbap and bulgoggi beef. Everyone was happy. The kids working as servers were extremely polite and friendly and handled a full dining room well.

Authentic Korean fare, nice people, in a very laid back atmosphere.

It tastes the same in South Korea, and seolleongtang was amazing. Make sure you try it. Everything we ate was very successful. We will visit there often during the rest of our vacation🤗 존맛탱입니다!! JMT!!!!!!

Best authentic k-bbq place around

Very good Korean cuisine in an old ex Taco Bell restaurant. About $30 per person. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but once inside, this is fine dining. My son had monk fish soup, two others had finely sliced beef bulgogi in a hot seasoning, another had the seafood platter and I had teriyaki chicken. Comes with kimchi and interesting sides.

Soybean paste stew made with soybean paste is very delicious.

Fantastic food! The kimchi pancake is my favorite. Never been disappointed with the food here, and the service is super friendly. A tad pricey but totally worth it for great food.

Ordered take and it was delicious! Great spicy pork bulgogi and beef bulgogi, nice portion size. Kimchi pancake is a must! Super friendly staff and our food was ready right when they said it would be and the restaurant was very busy. They also have a drive thru for pickup!! So convenient!

I called to let them know that I'm bringing 7 people with me and that we'd be there in 15 minutes. We showed up in 20 minutes, and throughout our stay there, one of the servers made it clear that he wasn't happy that we were 5 minutes late quoting " Are you the ones who called and said you'll be here in 10 minutes?" sarcastically and rudely. I visited Dooriban today with my friend and the food was amazing. The servers Torrey and Jae were both very attentive, helpful, and informative about the menu! They really helped me narrow down my choices and their suggestions were amazing. We had beef mandu as our appetizer and for our entree we got the Dolsot Bibimbap and Yook gae jang, both foods were so flavorful! It tastes like authentic Korean food and the ban chan were delectable. I definitely recommend people who are unsure of coming to this place to come in because this is definitely going to be my favorite Korean restaurant in the area!

It’s an amazing place, especially if you want Korean food. The food is delicious and have great portions. If you like soup I would recommend the kimchi soup with spam or yookgaejang. Both are my favorite, definitely come here if your craving some authentic Korean food!!!

So good! It may look like a remodeled Taco Bell, but the food is superb and so is the service. I always come here every time I visit family in St Pete. Best Korean food I have ever eaten. The spicy seafood tofu soup is amazing. It is a really special place!

We have enjoyed the freshly prepared food and friendly service when we've eaten here. The entrees come with multiple sides to share, which have been fun to try. Prices are reasonable for what you get.

I’m absolutely obsessed with this place, it’s become sort of a tradition to visit pretty much every weekend. The food is so good you can’t go wrong with anything in the menu and the staff are always so sweet and friendly. Such a “comfort food” kind of place. 10/10 recommend!!

Love love love this place! My go to is the spicy bulgogi, but we recently tried the Tang Su Yook, and it was amazing! The perfect amount of sweetness and fried chicken. My fiance tried the Korean corn dog, and we thought it'd be an odd combo of foods, but it was delicious!

Had a delicious dinner here after driving by and wondering about this place quite a few times. Clean, good food and friendly service - easy to look past the atmosphere which is a little too bright. Was very pleased that the food wasn't overly or inappropriately sweet. So many places have a heavy hand with the sugar and it ruins the food. Not this place, it's great!

Family style restaurant provides basic authentic Korean dishes. Ordered spicy chicken wings and seafood pancake as starter. Deep fried mackerel and pork chop are my flavor. Dishes served fast and were tasty. Friendly staff and reasonable price.

This place used to be great a while back and well its still good but it seems the staff has changed a bit and with it went the charm. The food selection is good tiny bit adjusted for american taste but still authentic. Big downside is the prices are a bit high now. I could see bringing down the prices by 2 bucks or so especially for the simple dishes like kimchi jjigae. After tax its like 17 bucks for a bowl of soup. I get that everything comes with the little side dishes but maybe offer the ability to option out of them for a reduced price.

I’ve been craving some really good Bulgogi for quite some time, but haven’t gotten any I wasn’t disappointed by… Dooriban REALLY hit the mark! I got spicy pork bulgogi and crab rangoons, and will definitely be trying more items very soon! Run, don’t walk!

Amazing restaurant! The food? Delicious. The employees? Very friendly and helpful! Stopped in for dinner during our vacation and thoroughly enjoyed every minute spent here, the waiter was so nice and answered all our questions. The food was delicious and plentiful! We had leftovers too. We will have to visit again next time im in town. Highly recommended

Delicious Korean food, authentic. Bibimbop was great (spicy pork) and so was the galbi and chicken wings. Highly recommend for some authentic Korean food

Delicious beef bulgolgi, spicy pork bulgolgi, and kimchi stew. You can tell a lot of love and care are put into these dishes because they taste phenomenal. Also, the service is great and the servers themselves are so polite and kind. I’ve never had a bad experience here and recommend this spot if you’re in the mood for outstanding Korean food.

Deceiving that it's in an old taco bell, super good food!

This place is the perfect secret place to get good authentic Korean cuisine. The staff was so nice and delightful and the atmosphere it the best!!! Will definitely be returning!!

UPDATED REVIEW: 3/5 We were finally able to come back and eat here again, looking forward to their Jjampong but a look at the menu got me disappointed very quickly. They only serve Jjampong on Mondays-Thursdays. I even confirmed with the staff and I couldn’t bring myself to understand why the change. If they’re trying to gain more business during the week by only putting Jjampong on menu on the weekdays, this isn’t it. Galbi: 2/5, it was sticky and flavor was lacking. Fried pork: 4/5, delish as always. Beef stew with clear noodles: 5/5, the best. Service is always on point but I won’t be coming back since they changed Jjampong to weekdays. Bad business move for sure. ORIGINAL REVIEW: 5/5 As the other reviews have stated, this restaurant took over a Taco Bell or small fast food establishment prior but they do have a big sign that you can't miss finding this place. Once we entered, we were greeted by a server who seated us immediately. The setup of the restaurant is like any other, you can dine in or place an order to go. Their menus have photos so if you don't know what to get or only know by the looks, they have photos! That was very helpful. Beef Stew: 4/5 Very delicious and light. Pork Belly for 2: 3/5 It was sweeter than I thought. It had a soy sauce cinnamon glaze so that was okay. Korean Chicken Wings: 4/5 It was good, not too fluffy or not too soaked in sauce. Don't even get me started on the service, it was perfect. I've never met more friendlier wait staff than at this place. It's such a great family feel that you literally felt at home. I am definitely returning and highly recommend this place to others. I'm definitely a fan! Do yourself a favor and get down to Dooriban!

Most excellent. This is the most authentic Korean place I have found. I spent a year in South Korea and this little place is the best. The kimchee is fantastic. Everything is homemade and made when you order with fresh ingredients. I am afraid to highly recommend because then I may not get a seat LOL. TWO THUMBS UP 😃. Love this eatery. Absolutely love this place! The family owners are extremely friendly courteous and welcoming. The spicy pork bulgogi is in my opinion top-notch and it takes me back to my time in South Korea when I was in the military. Go rebond is a must go if you like Korean food 5 January 2024 (update) Still the BEST Korean food in Pinellas County. If I had three thumbs, they would all be 👍. Keep up the good work, thank you for the best food and super service.

Obsessed with their Ramen & Bulgogi

The food is absolutely amazing. Very friendly staff as well. My wife and I shared the #51. It was a party of flavors that will sure to please any taste. It does have some spice, so if you can't handle spicy, don't get it. My daughter got the #20 and was very pleased. Dooriban is worth the visit. Definitely will be back.

The most Authentic Korean food in the area! (I've lived in Itaewon/ Seoul Korea) Everything tastes like an old Korean Ajumma is in the back making it fresh! DELICIOUS! I've been several times but never think to take pictures because I'm so excited to EAT! This is a hidden gem in Pinellas Park. Only flaw ;if it matters to you *It's in an old fast food restaurant building so seating is tight and there is really no ambiance.. (we always call in and take away) THEY EVEN HAVE A DRIVE THROUGH!

Best korean food in st.pete hands down

Don't be fooled by the exterior and pass up this restaurant. The inside is clean and tidy. This was our first visit, and we were greeted and seated right away. The staff were friendly and very helpful with explaining the menu and giving suggestions. To the food; Appetizer: Beef Mandu ( very tasteful), Main dishes: Beef Bulgogi bento & Seafood Japchae. The food was incredible! And the servings were very generous. Your taste buds will scream, "Yes! Authentic fresh Korean flavors. " Dooriban will be in our rolodex of favorite eateries.

This food was so good. I took my friend and her adult kids here and ordered for communal eating. Bulgogi, spicy pork bulgogi, seafood pancake, mandu, seafood chapchae, galbi, squid bokkum. We loved everything. I highly recommend Dooriban if you want authentic, delicious food & friendly service.

Probably this is the best Korean restaurant in the area, the authenticity is in the DNA, this place is ran by a Korean family bringing their home town taste here. We came here as a group of 12 colleagues with very different taste buds and got opportunities to try different dishes on the menu, the unanimous feedback from the team is they will come back with their friends and families again as all of us were very satisfied with what we had. You will be surprised the variety of items the owner is offering on the menu and they charged reasonably, good value for money. We ordered the Korean chicken wings and Korean seafood pancake to share. I didn’t have chance to take a picture of the full plate of the food, as the group can’t wait to share the food as they taste sooooo good. I had Korean Galbi which is a beef short rib clear soup, trust me this is a must order item. It is not very common you can get clear soup in the US and they use whole piece of short rib to cook the soup with radish. It must have cooked for so long the meat was very tender. If you are a big eater , please order fried rice and you can ask for the type of meat either chicken , pork or beef base on your preference. The portion is huge. The owner is definitely having a very particular standard on the food, we were informed there is only limited amount of over night rice that they have to serve the fried rice. They didn’t use the fresh steamed rice to do fried rice and insisted to use over night rice which has a different level of moist. One thing I always love about Korean food is they always serve a variety of side dishes, different kimchi , pickles , tofu, very refreshing. A side note , the restaurant is facing the main road and having plenty of parking spaces , this is one of the major considerations when the owner chose the location.

Absolutely delicious! Had the beef Mandu, which was unbelievably crispy. All the sides dishes perfectly balanced the bibimibap and dduk mandu guk. Even with a few big parties, we were able to sit within 10 minutes and the waiters were super friendly. Felt like really family style cooking; we will be back.

Great great food! Good service, seating is a little odd, but not bad. Easy to get to from the main road with plenty of parking.

We ordered Kimchi Jjigae or kimchi soup and chicken wings. The Chicken Wing was good and moist. Cripsy and tasty with some spices. Not much effort, as this is a simple dish to make. We always start with the classic Kimchi Soup. If a restaurant can't make a good ole' traditional Kimchi Soup, I don't trust put much with other dishes. The disappointment came into play when we ordered a Kimchi Soup without pork meat. Their menu states it has vegetables, tofu, & pork. That's a lie. The only thing we found in our soup was kimchi, 2 slices of tofu, green onions, and a tiny piece of pork belly after 3 minutes of searching for one. It's too expensive for a kimchi soup without any pieces of meat. There are much better Korean restaurants around St. Petes and Tampa that are much better in value with more flavor. The side dishes were bland. The kimchi was good, and the fish cake tasted somewhat satisfying. Service was good for the most part. Friendly with the right amount of solid mannerism. However, we were served a water refill after finishing our meal. Should be more attentive as having water during the meal would have been ideal. Could I have asked? Of course, we shouldn't have to ask, considering it’s a sit-down restaurant. Didn’t even ask how our meal tasted or if we needed anything else either. These are just common courtesy/practice we should expect with this food pricing. The place is small; tables are close to each causing the walkway path to be narrow, making it awkward for people to get around. Besides that, the restroom seems dirty, and the urinal is broken. Will we come back here again? Probably not.

I happen to drive by this small spot and decided to try it for a quick lunch and could not have been more surprised. The food was flavorful and the service was fast and friendly. If I lived closer I would be a regular customer.

I am Korean and the food at this place taste’s genuinely Korean and delicious. It reminds me of my mothers cooking. And the price is very reason. I would definitely visit again.

Have had better. Somewhat over priced. Ordered Bibimbap. For almost $20 way overpriced for what was received in a mostly rice dish. Added meat for $1 and definitely only received $1 worth in today meat prices. Like 5x 2in pieces. Average if best. Due to low amount of Korean in area would possibly try again as lunch "bento" seemed to have 20x the meat. Side dishes "ok". And pricing way too high.

Food and atmosphere was pretty good. There were empty tables when we arrived, but for some reason they made people wait rather than sit them down. They could have filled the empty tables & just let people know it's busy & may be a bit before they make the rounds.

Good food made fresh to order, the sides are all made in house. Staff had always been nice.

Dooriban is absolutely exquisite. I will recommend it to everybody I know... The ingredients are fresh, the dishes are delicious, the atmosphere is comfortable, and the service is incredible. Everything about Dooriban tells you that the owners and staff care deeply for their business. Enjoying a meal there is a refreshing experience and you would be doing yourself a disservice to miss it!
