Local diner in stip mall that's been here for years. So, it's a great meeting place for breakfast and lunch, and food is really good ! Portions are large. The meat lovers omelet is big enough to share if you're not really hungry. Hash browns are fresh and done right ; crispy on both sides ! Come early or late, if you don't want to wait !!

Great breakfast, great service. Do you need more?

We enjoyed our meals at Elena's served by our perfect waitress who was amply attentive. Our food arrived swiftly and was plentiful so two boxes to go. The food satisfied our taste buds as well. The only thing that I did not like was the outdated decor.

Really kind of sub-mid food here, expecting a lot more for how good the reviews are, but to be expected in this town.

This is the best place in town for breakfast. Consistently good food. A very friendly atmosphere. Waitstaff is so friendly, especially the tall blonde! We will wait until she has a free table! Close Elena’s…you won’t be disappointed!!!

The floors had straw wrappers and dirt in piles under the tables. My coffee cup had pieces of something besides coffee on the side. The bottom of the cup had coffee grounds in it. The waitress (tall blonde in her 60s) had 0 social skills, and checked on us once. The side salad apparently adds three dollars to a sandwich meal when replacing fries. The salad looks like old bagged salad from the grocery store when you forget about it for a few days. Disgusting, especially since it was several dollars more. The total was 50 dollars. They ask if I want to put a tip on the card, putting the customer on the spot to give a higher tip. It is the cheapest quality food you can get for not the cheapest price. Prime in port Charlotte gives free bread and delicious salad with their meals, and the meals are big enough to eat half and bring another half home. We fed 3 people at prime twice for 80 dollars last week, while this horrible subpar food was 50 to feed 3 people once. Why would anyone spend that money? I cannot in good conscience patronize this establishment again due to mediocre service, horrible low grade food, and unclean conditions. Also, you’re charging more to use a card. Your establishment benefits from customers being able to use cards. More people are able to use money at your establishment more easily. This is sneaky way for your business to skim more money out of people becuase you know most people use cards now. Sad.

About a dozen of and we got right in, seated and served a great breakfast. Update 7/24 had the spinach , bacon and cheese omlett, very good!

I used to live in Port Charlotte now I live in the cape used to go to Elena's a lot great to see it hasn't changed it was awesome

When we are in Florida we like to eat breakfast there . My husband parents took us there and we liked it there to eat .

I got the biscuits and gravy with eggs over easy. My wife got cinnamon French toast with bacon and eggs. We both loved the food. There was gravy left because they were generous, which was awesome. The cinnamon French toast was also delicious according to my wife, and it looked and smelled great. We are from out of state, but if we make it back this way, we will be returning and I’ll get that French toast! The service is very friendly and bright, and the food was served hot and extremely fast.

My husband and I live in Cape Coral and come here for Sunday breakfast with our friends. This place has great food and friendly service consistently. We've been going there since 2013.

Stopped in on our way up to Orlando & order some bagel breakfast sandwiches to go. Food was fresh & made to order. We will definitely stop & dine in on our next trip down. Staff were friendly & very helpful.

Had not been here in twenty years after moving away from the area. When stopping here a couple months ago after returning to the area, there was a line waiting to get in and I could not even find a parking place during the busy snowbird season. However, this time I tried again with a buddy who had never been here before and I wanted him to experience one of the best breakfast spots in Punta Gorda. It was good as I remembered, and nothing appears to have changed throughout the bright, clean and inviting seating area. The service was excellent, and our breakfasts were perfect. There were many veterans and others who appeared to be well known among the staff, indicating this is still a popular, hometown type of place, catering to those who appreciate good food and good service at a reasonable price. If I had reason to be in Punta Gorda more regularly, I'd eat here as often as possible.

Charging 3.99% for using a credit card is not ok. Especially when it’s in tiny print. Food was ok. Omelet was burned eggs.

This is a great spot for great food. Had the French dip with onion rings. Huge portion of beef on the bun, and great au jus. The onion rings were not soggy, fried just right.

Elana’s Restaurant 6-2-24 Stopped by Elana’s Restaurant for some breakfast. We heard a lot of good things about this place, and we wanted to try something different. We arrived around 8 am on a Sunday morning. They were busy but not packed. This place was large and clean with plenty of seating. As soon as we sat down our waiter Duli asked us what we wanted to drink. He brought us 2 decaf coffees right away which won him some points in my book for sure. We looked over the menu and I chose the 2 eggs sunny side up with Potatoes, Ham, and Rye toast. The wife chose 2 eggs sunny side up with Potatoes, Bacon, and Rye toast. We did not have to wait too long for our order to be delivered to our table. We got some refills on our coffee at the same time. My order was ok, but I thought the Ham was sliced a little thin and my potatoes were a little too well done for my liking. My wife thought her eggs were a little too well done for her taste but liked everything else. None of this was worth complaining to Duli about as it was just a matter of our personal preferences. Our coffee was ok, and the Rye toast was buttered and warm. Duli came by a couple times to make sure everything was ok and to refill our coffee. To me this breakfast was just average, and I was a little disappointed after hearing all the good things about this place. We wish we would have stopped for dinner, as we believe it may have been better and got a higher ranking. Our tab was around 30 dollars which we didn’t think was too bad. First time here , delicious food...but the daily specials which were hidden behind the cash register that you see when you pay at the end...waiter didn't mention...

We enjoy diners and Elena's is a lovely diner nestled in Punta Gorda Florida. Martha was our server and she was wonderful. Our food came in a reasonable time and was perfect temperature. We had liver and onions, rueben sandwich with delicious crispy french fries, and chicken enchiladas. 5 stars for this delicious restaurant.

Was wandering around while Gettel serviced my car and decided to have a late lunch). Experienced fast, courteous service. Tasty food(though the Spanikopita was not their best, it was still tasty). And enough food, that there's still some for a light dinner later. Thank-you.

Great diner style experience with great food and great service!

Parking was already crowded at noon and no handicapped spots available. The bacon cheeseburger was overcooked, but the bacon was crispy. Just the way I liked it on the burger. Everything else seemed about average wife had a Gyro. He liked it fries were homemade and tasty. The staff was very friendly and even though they were busy, the waiter stopped by at least two times and asked if our meal was OK.

This was my first time here. And it was really good. I ended up getting the chicken salad plate. The cole slaw was amazing and i loved how i got a variety of veges to mix and match with my dollop of either cloe slaw chicken salad or potatoe salad. It was alot of food for the price.

This place is so amazing, I'm sharing it on both of my accounts‼️🤣. Durim, Suzy, and the whole staff are absolutely the best. The prices were on point, and the food was quick and delicious. 10/10 all day💯. Thank you all again, and we'll see you soon🫡❤️

It's a rare find in Punta Gorda..their specials are wonderful!,..Breakfast is great we have eaten there for breakfast and loved it. We love their liver and onions..Chef salads are huge you can't finish it!

Went there palm Sunday, it was busy but as usual the wait staff was excellent, food wonderful, I had a BLT club. My party loved their food and service.

Great locally run business with ample servings for reasonable prices. Daily specials include soup and dessert. Very busy but adequate, hardworking staff made for a short wait on our meal. The plate of open faced roast beef and mashed potatoes was huge and delicious! Will be going here more often since we’ve discovered this hidden gem!

Heidi surpassed my expectations of a server. She was simply amazing. My husband and I arrived very tired from a road trip. She was compassionate and understood our needs immediately. Her knowledge of the menu was exactly as we expexted. We where not familiar with the area, and she even helped with driver information. We will return due to Heidi's compassion.

This restaurant is not as good as it was in the past. The food was OK but not outstanding. The prices are rather high for the quality of their food and the service you get. With some minor changes they could once again become a go to spot to eat.

A local recommended Elena's to our group and we were very satisfied. Our server was witty and friendly. Everyone's food was delicious and I especially liked their French fries.

Family style restaurant. Friendly atmosphere the service was great and the food was plenty. Every time I go there the place is full. There is a waiting time. I'm not the only one who likes eating there. I don't mind because the wait has never been more than 15 minutes. The food is good and reasonably price. This is one of my local go-to. I always enjoy my time there as well as the food.

Great all American food! The chicken noodle soup is just like you'd expect it: Perfect. The soup and salad is a great option at a great price!

Food was decent. We had lunch. I’ve heard breakfast is better. If you have little ones, be aware there is no changing station.

We ate at Elena Restaurant for the first time today Feb. 14,2024 and was quite pleased with service and food. However, as I was paying my check, I asked the owner/manager at the cash register if it was better to pay my waitress cash or by credit card. The owner/manager stated it did not matter. At no time was I informed at the cash register that if I paid with my credit card, I would be charged an additional 3.5% fee for using my credit card. This additional fee was not only charged on the cost of my meal but also the taxes as well as my tip. Elena's owner/manager "MUST" inform each customer at the time of payment that an additional fee of 3.5% would be charged on the entire total of the check when using any credit card. This deception "MUST STOP". I am quite sure that the large majority of Elena's customers are unaware of such a deceptive fee until they visually check their receipt after they have left the restaurant or not all. Elena's owner not only deducts their credit card commercial usage fee from their taxes but they also secretly increase their profit margin. Had Elena's owner/manager informed me or any customer of such a deceiptful fee then we would have the option to decide whether to use cash or otherwise. Shame on Elena Restaurant Owner/Manager for their implementation of this scam so as to offset their specific credit card commercial fees by deceiptively passing it unbeknowingly unto their customer. Exceptional family style restaurant

We went there 2 days in a row. Loved our waiter the first day and loved our waitress the second day. We had very tasty omelets and the special French toast. Home fries were superb. Good value and quick and efficient service. The ambiance was Greek to me!

This is a review that people are not going to like. The wife and I ate there today the wife ordered an omelet perfect, I made the mistake of ordering the liver and onions. I even told the server to let the cook know to leave it rare. What I got was inedible cooked to much it was like eating a shoe. I'm a local and won't be coming back,for a long time.

Had breakfast there my were not cooked had to go back and when they came back everything else was cold the bacon was over cooked and my toast was burnt overall not a good experience

Exactly what you expect from a diner - friendly, efficient service.

,understaffed, the host had to look for a waiter/ waitress so we can finally get water. Weight watcher chicken salad was awesome. When checking out no one was at the front had to wait before paying. I shouldn’t have to go to the kitchen to ask for help. Then they charged an additional 2.00 for something that should have already been on the meal. Oh well there goes the tip.

Staff friendly. Servers Dudi, Sue and Tina awesome. Princess, is the name I call the hostess, is always very efficient.

I saw chicken picatta on the menu on the internet but it was not on the menu when I went there. I Said I would have loved chick pic. He said we can make it for you! It was great. It was over spaghetti but you could have had it over potatoes if you wanted. I highly recommend Elena's. It was crowded so you know it's good! ENJOY! Great service!!

The best part was the service, the chocolste chip pancakes, biscuits & gravy. They don't use seasoning, The bacon was not the best part of the meal. I did not like the flavor and the pieces were small.

I was looking to try something different today for breakfast, with me and my family. After an hour of Google searches I came across this location. When we arrived we got seated immediately, one of the vus boys got pur drink order before our waiter showed. I felt it was awesome because if waiters/waitresses are bust why not have at least someone start that so you can feel acknowledged so definitely a double thumbs up for that. Than our water came with the drinks in less than 10mins, he was very fast and great. The food was very fresh and so good they give you big portions so we had to get to go boxes. The customer service was superb I mean great in every way. Our waiters name was Doli ( what was printed in receipt). I would definitely return again and recommend for anyone who wants fast, fresh, big food portions, along with homestyle attomosphere and great customer service.

Excellent service! Coffee was good and cup was never empty. Typical diner type place with daily specials. Very reasonably priced. Omelette, bagel sandwich and French toast were all very good. Hash browns are fried fresh potatoes or as some would call “home fries”. Recommend stopping here.

It's ok a decent breakfast. Not much more. Needs much more flavor.

When we arrived, there was a line out the door. We put our name on the list, and were seated in 10 minutes. You know the food is going to be good when everyone is trying to get a seat and we were not disappointed. Our server was incredibly attentive and personable. He made sure we got everything we wanted very quickly. And of course the food was good. The menu ite.s are simple but prepared perfectly.

This restaurant is under new management. The price points are reasonable, but the dishes are poorly prepared. All 4 egg dishes were way overcooked. The omelets were actually browned! The potatoes were tasteless. There are many better locations close by.

Great service and delicious food

It's a quaint little place. I was here about a year ago & I like it then. However, as I walked in today, it appeared as there was a cast call for the remaking of Cocoon. Ill elaborate in a minute. Nonetheless, only 1 kind of cream for your coffee. If you don't arrive b4 11:00am your breakfast menu is limited to a 1/4 section of the menu. I had been here a year ago & you were able to substitute a set of pancakes for your toast. Well, not anymore. Also if you want to add hash browns or potatoes, that's now extra. So, no coffee for me bc I like it with hazelnut & I'm now paying extra for my hash browns & the omlett is now extra for each ingredient added. Again, the entire staff & host are very polite. However, I also learned that if you pay with a credit card or debit card, you're charged an extra 4%. How wonderful, when we all have so much cash laying around. Most of the clientele were elderly people. When you see this you know they come here for a reason. Well, the food here is good & they do give good portions. You see everyone walking out with a to go box. There you have it. Almost an extra meal, but definitely an extra snack for yourself during the day.The rest, I guess you decide. Bon Appetite.

Breakfast and lunch are good with competitive price and good service. Just watch out for the upcharges: $2 sharing charge, 4% credit card fee, toast comes with breakfast, but 50 cents extra if you want an English muffin, etc. Good place but hate getting nickled and dimed.
