Excellent food and service. Easy access to the restaurant and plenty of parking space. The waiter was kind and walked us through the menu and dishes/ingredients we didn't know and our dish choices ended up being the best!

Fado is an easy place to miss as it’s tucked a bit out of site in a complex that does not look like it would contain a restaurant but it’s definitely worth a visit. Great Portuguese food at very reasonable prices.

It was my first time here, We came as a recommendation of our friends, and this place was phenomenal. The ambiance was great inside, the host was actually the owner who sat us quickly and we had great service the whole night. My wife tried a “green” wine which she loved. We had the Alheira for the appetizer which was so yummy, it tastes like an amazing deep fried large croquette. For main dinner, my wife got the octopus and I also tried it, it was really tender and delicious. I went with the bacalau com natas, I immediately loved it, it was like this yummy comfort food, very filling. The dessert “pasteis de belem” was great too. I’d definitely recommend and we will come back.

He helped us to choose our meals and it was the best Portuguese cuisine that I had in a long time. I definitely want to come back and try the rest of the menu. The codfish is definitely worth it!

The warm and fragrant bread! The dessert was very good, well balanced with sweetness, perfect! The wine we chose was perfect, fresh. Fantastic flavorful food! Rock shrimp comes with that heavenly Mozambique sauce that should be bottled and sold. My friend loved their octopus. Nice ambiance and great service. Ample parking. This was our first visit. The food was delicious. It reminded us of our travels to Portugal. Lucas had great recommendations based on what we said we like and he allowed my husband a chance to practice speaking Portuguese.

Alivia the server was amazing. The quality of food was terrible. This is coming from a first generation American both parents born and raised in Portugal. I have been around this food all my life. We have visited fado a total of four times two within the first year of opening. The quality had diminished, the effort into the fish has diminished, flavorless sauces , cold steak brought to table twice. The rice tasted days old and was also cold. The fries are similar to some popular fast food places not acceptable at a Portuguese cuisine. If your not spending money on alcoholic beverages then they could care less to check on how your doing. Bruno and Carlos you guys can do better. I would not recommend any local Portuguese to come or even out of state visiting. You might be able to pull it over on individuals that are not familiar with Portuguese cuisine but us Portuguese know what good Portuguese food is. I had high hopes and thought this was going to be a fav but after many attempts to give it second and third chances fado had failed to meet the mark. Coming out should have been an experience it typically is any Portuguese restraint you go to but these past few experiences have been nothing more than an Applebees visit.

The food, as always, was marvelous!!! From the bolinhos de bacalhau, bacalhau Gomes de Sá, and my personal favorite Bacalhau na telha. Our server, Beto, made the experience even better! My husband and I drove ~2h from Fort Myers to St Pete just to eat at Fado! So worth it!

Even though we are old clients from Rui’s restaurant in Orlando, we couldn’t miss the opportunity of visiting and dining at his new location in St Petersburg. I’m not surprised that me and my family would love the whole meal at Fado’s restaurant. We came for my youngest son birthday celebration and they went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. Beto, personally took care of our table, making sure we got the best food and service. They even sang happy birthday for my boy at the end, which was very nice. My husband and my sons had the dish called “Bitoque”, which is their favorite and, I couldn’t resist to have they “Bacalhau com Natas” and “Codfish cakes”. It was was amazing, not to mention the beautiful and comfortable place with a nice and calm atmosphere. We will definitely come back every time we travel to St Pete.

Aldisson was fantastic as a host and server. As far as the food was concerned, it's super authentic to the Portuguese culture. The wife and I hunt down pescaditos (fried sardines) in every culture (Spanish, Hong Kong, etc), and these ones were unbattered and very clean. The octopus was fantastic.

Outstanding flavorful food and our waiter was super professional and had the best smile! We tried the Pavlo which was octopus and potatoes it was superb and oh so tender. We also tried the pork and little necks with vegetables and fried potatoes in a delicious red sauce. This was equally delicious and a large portion! Portuguese white wine was refreshing too! 10/10 experience Service was prompt. We will definitely be back.

We were recommended here, but it was not a good night for the food.. Maybe because it is off-season, the food was not as good as described. The manager took care of our concerns and apologized. We would give it another try, as the atmosphere and service were very good.

Underrated place! Great tasting food. Very good value. They have the most authentic and delicious pastel de nata (desert pastry)! My fiancé and I just got back from Portugal so this was def gave us a little taste of Portugal here in the US. I had the lamb chops but any of the sea food dishes looked good too. My fiancé LOVED the mashed potatoes! They also have their own parking lot which is huge in St Pete.

Everything was excellent here. This was a date night dinner prior to going to see Bert Kreischer at the Mahaffey Theater and it did not disappoint. From the drinks, fresh hot bread, garlic shrimp appetizer, Costeletas de Cordeiro (lamb chops), Bacalhau com Natas (baked salted cod), wine, crème brûlée, and galao (Portuguese latte), everything was delicious. The service was very attentive and very helpful in providing input to assist in our selections. It had a wonderful ambiance with great music, will definitely be on my list to explore their other dishes.
