I always love Farlows. My favorite dish was a triple tail I had for lunch a couple years ago. I once had a fantastic while fried Hogfish. It was superb. The red snapper lunch we got one time was awesome too!

Service With A Smile, Food Is Allways Served In A Timely Fashion, Food Served Is Hot Never Cold Unless You order A Cold Item. Just An Allaround Gread Dining Experiance At Fair Prices.

We love Farlow's. We have dinner every year when we come down to the beach.

Great place , love the scenery. We went for early lunch today Caitlin our server very nice and attentive, food was delicious and fresh , we had a Caesar salad added avocado and blackened chicken, sweet plantain, black bean veggie burger and sweet potato fries definitely a fantastic restaurant 🙂

Crab cakes were so over seasoned with spices that you could not taste the crab...sides were ok. Would have tasted better if the were served hot.

My husband and I enjoy Farlows, and often take our guests there. Just one annoyance. The practice of charging $2-3 extra for a vegetable side, when the entrees are $25-35. On 8-15-24, my husband pa.id $2 for sauted spinach, that was barely sautéed. No mention of the extra cost by our server.

I am a frequent customer at Farlows. We ordered a special suggestion by our server. My date found it very salty and difficult to eat. The entire portion was left uneaten. The manager was told, but made no effort to satisfy or comp that portion of the meal. I wasn't looking for a hand out, but would have enjoyed a token effort to accommodate our issue. Love Farlows, will still go there, but very disappointed.

A unique place on the water in Englewood. The food is terrific. The seafood is fresh. I like the way they prepare their food. A Caribbean style is the best way to describe it. The grounds are beautiful and the service is always great. They have a wonderful selection of fish. The trigger fish and Cobia are 2 of my favorites. Ask for Marissa D. She made for a great night for my family. If you come with your family plan on taking pictures by the canal. You’ll be glad you did.

One of my favorite fresh seafood restaurants in the Venice/Englewood, Florida area. The fish is always fresh and made right. Service is exceptional. The last time we were here, we literally had 3 servers checking in on us through the entire sitting.

This restaurant offered a unique blend of Southern and Caribbean cuisine. The dining experience was refreshing. Every meal was delicious and diverse. The ambiance was warm and inviting. The service was excellent. We will be back!

Absolutely fantastic! The food was exceptional, the service was amazing, and the ambiance was perfect. I sat outside on the patio near the boardwalk. My server was prompt and delightful. I was all set to order the hogfish when he suggested the goldentile stuffed with blue crab. This fish literally melts in your mouth and the taste reminds me of lobster. I highly recommend this restaurant and will be a frequent customer.

What a cute little place! We sat outside under the patio and even in July it was still comfortable with the fans and misters running. The food was amazing and the portions are very generous. Service was great from the minute we walked up. Make a reservation, it got busy!!! We will definitely be back!

First time here tonight and the atmosphere was really nice aside from it being extremely hot where we sat and the flies were insane. The service was mediocre along with most of the food. I had the tuna and it was not good and priced at $45 I was expecting quality fish. I feel like the prices are too high for what you get. The snapper my husband ordered was a tiny piece of fish. When I order snapper I expect the whole fish. This place is way overpriced for what you get. Won’t be returning.

The food is terrible, while it’s been in business over 20 yrs and is quite busy I don’t see why!! Overpriced for what you get, they have a great location! I hear the Chef has been with them for over 29 years… maybe it’s time to make a change For their prices they could do sooo much better. I’d say it’s a case of the Owners are tired of running the restaurant and still making a lot of money so why fix it! It’s a shame….

Went for a late lunch, and I had their famous ruben sandwich. It was really good.

I can't say enough good things about our lunch at Farlows today. Two couples and we all loved our meals and the wonderful server with the lovely southern drawl.

Long hair in under my wife's steak. She said no big deal as it was a very tough medium rare NY strip. Side salads were very lame. I had the seafood in puff pastry which wasn't too bad. Seafood wasn't anything special. Pet peave I have in ordering steak is waitstaff should come to the table within a couple minutes to make sure it was cooked to correct temperature. Waitress never came to the table only when handing the check . Bragged about not going to be doing this waitressing all her life as she's going on to medical school. Obviously feel she's too good for her current position. Have eaten at worse places, but wouldn't recommend this place. Server Caitlyn was nice, but not attentive . Only at the end to butter up for the tip. I must add something. Obviously the owners can care less in regards to a bad experience. Notice they really only comment on 4 or 5 star reviews. If they really cared they would address the people who had bad dining experiences. Many much better places to patronize.

This was our first experience dining at Farlows in Englewood. We had a gift certificate given to us by our realtor in Massachusetts when we sold our home there, this is her favorite restaurant when she comes to visit her parents. So we decided to come for our 35th wedding anniversary. Everything from our waitress ( Caitlin) to the views and most important the food was superb!! We will most definitely be back! Thank you for making our Anniversary unforgettable!!

4 of us tried to dine with no reservation and wanted inside seating. So on 6-22-24 in the torrential rain storm I sat at the bar for dinner. Kelsey was my fabulous bartender. Many of us looked like drowned rats as we walked in. She was very sympathetic to us all. I thoroughly enjoyed my inaugural meal at Farlows. I went with the Peter Island Scallops. They were superb. Scallops with crab, spinach, artichoke hearts. Flavorful. It came with bread, salad and two sides. I went with the very creamy and tasty mashed potatoes. I also went with the broccoli. OMG the worst I have ever had. Hard, old, gross. I didn't mention until after I received my bill, because everything else was so above and beyond. I highly recommend this restaurant and with come back again when the sun is shining to enjoy the water view. Thank you Farlows

Just the coolest place! We talk about this place often ever since returning from our trip to Florida. We sat outside to eat which was maybe a mistake considering how hot it was but they had large fans blowing which helped! Nonetheless, the food was tasty and hot and the tiramisu cake was awesome. I wish we lived closer!

I loved the atmosphere. The appetizers were great, stuffed porta bella mushrooms, calamari and southern hush puppies. However, I had the Hot Kentucky Brown. I was very disappointed. The menu said it was covered with cheddar cheese...it was covered with what tasted like velveta or cheese wiz. I don't like either. For the amount they charge you would think they could prepare it with real cheese. There was way to much cheese on it. You could not taste the turkey or tomatoes. I had to put it on another plate and scrape off the cheese just to eat it.

Our favorite restaurant period. We drive from Tennessee and always make sure we visit at least two times the week we spend in Florida.

My spouse and I came here for our sixth-anniversary dinner, and it was a fantastic experience. We ordered the steak dinners, and I'm so happy we did. Everything was so delicious, from the potatoes to the asparagus. We will definitely be back. Our waiter, Giovanni, was super sweet too.

A bit pricy but some of the best seafood you can get. Blackened Grouper, whole fried snapper it’s all great. Service was fine, it’s just a busy place so expect a bit of delay. I will keep coming back.

Our waitress was excellent but the food is overpriced for the quantity of food and the small portions. The small order of shrimp and grits were fair at best. The beef sliders appetizer was send back because the meat was so tough I couldn’t chew it. Nice atmosphere but I won’t go back.

My only complaint: Menus were sticky ( they were slightly laminated) and had a weird residue on them which I could feel on my fingers afterwards. Should be wiped with antibacterial wipes often.

After reading all the excellent reviews, I took my family to this restaurant for dinner. It is a beautiful place and they have dockside seating. Our server was outstanding, especially the woman who was busing tables. She was very attentive. However, our food was fair at best. Appetizers were hush puppies that were burnt, shrimp was fair, green tomatoes was ok about like Perkins level. Most of us got steak and the sauce on the steak tasted like bad gravy and the steaks were tough like a Waffle House. My daughter to Filet Migon and it was good. The grand kids got grouper bites and they sent them back because they tasted bad. They got chicken fingers and they were ok. Baked sweet potatoes were ok but the rum sauce was terrible. Salads were good but again the house dressing is soooo sweet. Desert we got lave cake but Dominios is better. The bill with tip was almost $400. for 3 adults and 2 kids. Way too expense for that quality of food. Lock and Key at the beach is better.

Listen, there's no problem with the food here. Its quality and they should be proud of what they're serving. BUUUUUT...my one critique of the food here is that most of it stays in one lane: rich. As in flavor. Don't get me wrong, the food is delicious but I just can't handle it too much when it's all so rich. If that's your thing then you will love it here! But if you're sensitive to rich and savory flavors like I am, proceed with caution!

We had relatives from NJ in town who wanted to dine at restaurant on the water with a Florida vibe … Boy, did Fowlers fill the bill!!! Caribbean themed menu in a gorgeous waterfront setting. Triple Tail with Jamaican Jerk seasoning was spectacular. Corn bread rolls infused with brisket were a treat. Service matched the delicious food. If you want to impress your friends or relatives Fowlers is the place to frequent!!!

As far as restaurants go, this is a top tier restaurant. Beautiful food, service, and views. I come to Farlows every time I am in Englewood. I have never ordered anything else but the swordfish even though I have taste many other dishes. Bianca, fantastic service and great recommendations for the sides. While waiting for our bill, we noticed many of the waiters or waitresses tidying up tables and adjusting chairs not just on their phones. You are a top tier because of the small things like this. You should know that it is seen and appreciated.

Not a good dining experience! Seated and waited 15 minutes for our server to show up. No smile, no greeting. Took drink orders and vanished for another 10 minutes. Turkey with gloppy cheese - $28! Seafood pie - $30! Showed up with bill - automatic thing with tip choices: 18% was the lowest. Won't go back.

We went to Farlows on the Water for my wife’s birthday, and it was amazing! We chose to sit in the garden area, which was beautifully scenic, especially during the sunset. There’s also like a dock area that’s great for taking pictures., which brings me to our favorite waiter Chelsea. She took our pictures for us, before we even knew she is our waiter, and the pics came out gorgeous. Thank you Chelsea! The service didn’t stop there, Chelsea was awesome. The food was just as amazing as the service, and we ate a lot. For the five of us, we got conch fritters, escargot, mussels, scallop salad, calamari, oven roasted whole red snapper & whole hogfish, and St. Croix tripletail, and each dish was amazing. There wasn’t one dish that we didn’t like, compliments to the chef. This restaurant is a seafood lovers delight. Also, when rating anything, you have to consider the value of what you’re getting against the money paid for it. Well, at Farlows the value of what we got (food, service, ambience), was well above what we paid for it, and that’s why they deserve the full five stars. P.S., Chelsea deserves a raise!

We actually have already been 2 times.. It’s probably 1 of my favorite places.. I luv the crab salad. Soso goo& it has some fruit.. so really it has to be goo for u.. The service both times was Amazing!!

If you want good fish or pork this is the spot to go. If you want a steak this is not the place. I don’t know why I keep trying different steaks here, but have yet to have a good steak. Just went and tried the NY strip king cut and first it came out too rare and tough. They did cook longer but still was very tough. I’ve learned my lesson now get the fish or pork dishes. Overall nice atmosphere, nice people, good food, just can’t cook a steak.

We had the pleasure of dining in this evening for our 13th anniversary. This is our 4th year visiting Englewood and Farlows is one of the reasons that we continue to come back. Tonight’s experience was different, but only in the best of ways. Our server, Anna, was the best! She was friendly, funny, and prompt. She took time to mix and mingle with the tables. We truly felt like we made a friend at the end of our meal. Tonight’s meal and service exceeded all our expectations. It’s clear that great care and passion go into every aspect of this restaurant. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for an extraordinary dining experience. Five stars, without a doubt!

This is our fourth time visiting Farlow's. It is our tradition when we vacation to Englewood to stop here for our anniversary dinner. Our waitress (Anna B), was so amazing and added to the experience. As far as the food goes, all the fish dishes are amazing. I have heard from other company that the chicken is pretty good also. The bread pudding is a must have, and if you don't, you are missing out. Make this a required visit if you have the opportunity.

The food and servers were both excellent. The only draw back was the lack of WI-FI for customer use.

The food was amazing and the paella was excellent with a twist on the substitute rice.

Came in for lunch. We sat inside at the bar since the outdoor bar was not open until later. Bathrooms were very clean. You could see right into the kitchen, which was pretty cool. Our bartender this afternoon was amazing. Very knowledgeable on different drinks. She was very personable and attentive. Our food was delicious. We had the coconut shrimp, the Caribbean seafood delight blackened and the Cuban. They have local craft beers available which we loved. We will definitely be back.
