A Must every time we come to Tarpon. Authentic and delicious baklava and many other breads and treats. Service is always friendly and we feel like family.

Can’t tell you how the food is .. Yes, can only tell you we drove an hour to get there because the website and the store window said they closed at six. We got there at 5:30. There was a young girl in there yelling through the window. We are closed.. I called the store and said we drove an hour to get there advertises for 6 PM Her response was” The owner told me to close early” I told her that really wasn’t good customer service or customer relations to drive an hour and for them to close early and still be in there and not even let us come in. The lights were still on.

Bougatsa, Frappe, and Koulouri Thessalonikis all tasted as authentic as they come. Service was friendly and polite. The tables outside provide a friendly gathering place for patrons.

Such tasty treats we'd devoured them before we could even take a photo. We got some bread to take home and enjoyed the baklava and other sweets. Everything looked good, it was tough to choose only a few.

Their items is not always fresh tasting but their olive oil & horiatiko bread is OK. They own MYKONOS restaurant which is OK nothing special since owner Papou passed away. Fournos raise their prices like every 2-3 months. A cheese savory pie or Spinach pie now is $4each & Spinach pie is bland with hardly any feta. I prefer the National Bakery up the street on the right AND their Prices are steady. I prefer the tsoureki aka Hallah bread at Hellas. Shop around but they all Price gouge being that is a little "tourist" area. Go to GREEK BOYS CHOICE FOODS ON ANCLOTE STREET IF YOU LIKE GREEK GROCERIES AT A DECENT PRICE.

Went twice in one day, absolutely loved it. Got a variety of things but the standout was the mini chocolate baklava. Will definitely be back! Also , the service was great. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.

I love this little bakery. Definitely enjoyed it more than Hellas. My only disappointment today was they didn't have their olive bread. If you are going to visit the area Definitely call ahead and try to order the olive bread. It is the most wonderful thing I've ever eaten.

I ordered two different types of mini Baklava (plain and chocolate) and one Bougatsa. Everything was delicious and I preferred the baklava here over Hella’s.

Stopped by and tried their baklava and needless to say went back the next day to buy more before heading home. The owners wife was very nice. We also bought their feta bread which was amazing. We will definitely be going back.

I want to start by saying I’ve tried Hellas and don’t even waste your time, it’s such a disappointment. I have been picky about Baklava since I was a child because the first time I had it was by a family who owned a cafe near us growing up that made it so well no other Baklava could live up to it. This is the first time at Fournos Bakery in at least 25 years I have had Baklava that was not only just as good but better than my childhood one. I completely made inappropriate noises when I ate this and so did my husband. I knew this was the right place to go when I saw it packed with locals getting their bread for the day 😃

Great bakery! We purchased several pastries, bread, and some baklava, which was definitely the best baklava we have ever had ...(we had many before ;) The lady in the bakery was very sweet and pleasant to talk to.

Excellent small bakery, everything was fresh and really delicious. Spend my winters in the area, met the nicest woman behind the counter. Great bakery even nicer woman 😜A bit off the main drag but definitely worth the short walk. You won’t be disappointed.

Excited to buy Greek cookies! But sooo disappointed when my husband and I bit into them after we got home. Tasteless and STALE!!!!! Begrudgingly threw $14 worth of three kinds of cookies into the trash! Too far to drive back the next day so close to Thanksgiving. Left a telephone message at the bakery about our disappointment. Have not heard from them. We do NOT recommend this bakery. Hard to believe there are so many wonderful reviews on this site. Interestingly enough, on other sites the reviews are more in line with our experience. Hmmm....

The best bakery in town. The place is run by the most charming Greek ladies. The baklava is the best you'll ever have. The breads are excellent. But my favorite was a little key lime cake. We return every time we drive near Tarpon Springs.

We always make sure to have time when we’re in Tarpon Springs to come to Fournos. There have been many times when we run very close to the closing time and we make a call that we’re running late and have always been treated with such wonderful hospitality. This bakery is very dear to our hearts!!

Yummy, moist baklavas. Employee was very hospitable and answered our many questions. So many delicious looking desserts and breads. We ended up picking up a few pieces to enjoy later on our road trip.

This bakery is the bomb! Unlike similar bakeries on the main street that sell the same stuff, its authentic and small scale, meaning they bake fresh goods every day! Highly recommend!!!!

We love this bakery! They make the best Greek cookies/pastries!!!! Love their bread too. The ladies running the place are extremely kind and generous. We just love coming here!

Baklava was incredible, and the woman behind the counter even served a biscotti to go with my coffee. Great little spot for a treat and nice service!

We tried 5 different types of pastries and they were all absolutely lovely and seemed really authentic. The vegan one with orange juice and spices was my favorite. Really appreciate the time she took to explain the options to us. Just a super nice lady making really delicious pastries.

We go to Mykonos and eat all the time decided to go to the bakery the woman said 14.35 I laid a 10 down while I was looking for ones I handed here the ones she said 10 more ddollars which I already handed her so she keep saying no so a 14 stuff cost me 24 ripped me off won't be back

The food was delicious but above all the people here are super nice. I heard a lady speaking Greek and told her how much I admire her country's millinery culture and she was very touched by it. Loved the place

We picked up desserts in three different bakeries in town and this is our favorite food wise. Owner is also very kind.

Better bakery than Hellas But less options. I’ve never been disappointed no matter what pastry/bread/cookie I have eaten there. They always have different fresh creations the baker decides to make that taste like something you would have in Greece. Overall I love this place. Also lovely staff of ladies in the front! Always able to explain each item and with a smile! If you visit you better come here!

I love this place enough to drive over 1 hour to get here. Bougasta, melomakarina, baklava, kourabiedes koulourakia and psomi(bread) that reminds me of Greece. There are not enough superlatives to describe this bakery. Outstanding service everytime I shop here. Bravo sas!

We were just walking around the area after dinner and saw this little hole in the wall bakery that reminded me of my grandmas bread in Greece so I had to stop in! We bought a loaf of bread and a pound of Melomakarona!! OMG!!!!!! Best Melomakarona I have EVER had and I have had my fair share of them! Definitely will stop here next time we are in Florida!! Bravo!!

We purchased some turnovers from here. Nice flaky crust, but filling was so sparse you couldn't even tell which one was blueberry and which was strawberry.. They were pretty much hallow. Some advise would be to charge $.50 more and add some filling if you want people to return anyway.

Great food, great atmosphere. Came with my family and we all enjoyed our food. Very small but comfortable and warm. It has it's own charm would recommend experiencing it for yourself.

Great find! Freshly baked bread and pasteries right on the premises!!! A really great selection of Greek breads that you don’t see in the other bakeries on the Main Street!! The owner was such a sweet lady and spent a long time with us explaining the different types of breads and sweet treats!!!

Our family loves this bakery. It is off the beaten path, the baked goods are top notch and the kind older lady who serves us each time we goes is truly what the Greeks call a "yia yia". Don't miss Fournos when you're in Tarpon Springs.

This is a wonderful Greek bakery just off the sponge docks in Tarpon Springs. The fresh bread is a great treat that has become a weekly staple. The Greek pastries are always excellent, and always fresh baked. The owners are always happy to see folks, and it's a pleasure to stop in. This bakery is a true hidden gem.

Had breakfast today from goodies bought yesterday at Fournous , Sweet bread , sesame bread in a shape of a circle and biscotti made by the owner who was a very warm and charmin lady. All of the items from the bakery were so fresh, and it was a very clean place. I highly recommend this place. I will stop by there again whenever I comeback to Tarpon Springs. Happy holidays and thanks for letting me try the biscotti it was great.

Love this bakery!! Everything here is as good or better than popular Hellas but Fournos is cheaper and friendlier. Highly highly recommend their Kataifi, it's excellent, massive and only $3. Amazing! Their baklava is also as good as they come.

I visited Tarpon Springs yesterday for the first time and stopped by Fournos Bakery for a delicious Baklava and I enjoyed the whole experience. The Baklava was one of the best one I have tried. It was hand made by the owner Kathy, who was a very warm and charmin Greek lady. All of the items from the bakery seem fresh, hygenic, and genuine Greek flavors. The place a replica as the bakeries from Greece. I highly recommend this place. I will stop by there again whenever I comeback to Tarpon Springs. Regards ~Lorena from Orlando.
