I was surprised by this restaurant, the service and food were excellent, without a doubt a very good option for seafood, and if you want the best service ask Darlis to serve you.

This place is a restaurant and fish market. Seating is limited. Our entrees were fantastic. Seafood was fresh and perfectly cooked. We will be coming back to try different items on the menu.

I've ordered different items here and the meals have overall been delicious and fresh. They have a good variety of food and flavors. I ordered the Junkanoo Seafood Rice last Friday and it was probably my favorite dish from this restaurant.

Did not disappoint! Blackened snapper bowl was fantastic.

Service was great, the long haired Latin brunette was really sweet and helpful. However, can't say I recommend based off this experience. Fish & other seafood is incredibly fresh. Love that. But I ordered the fried calamari, mixed seafood ceviche and the best seller which was the Oscar. I ordered the sauce and crab cake on the side so I could enjoy them all separately. Starting with the calamari: very fresh, lovely but, super oily. The sauces they served it with - the red was too sweet and the other was way too salty. The freshco ceviche: not marinated enough - respect if raw fish is your thing but we regularly make ceviche at home and this was not it for us. The citrus simply didn't pull through. Oscar grouper: the crab cake alone is delicious, the sauce is good if not a little high on sodium. I tried them separate to see if I wanted to actually combine them - which ultimately I had no choice because the seasoning on the grouper was very heavy handed and is only tolerable with the creaminess of the sauce. Unfortunately you miss out on a lot of the flavor of the fish. Again it's not awful but I expected a lot more based off the reviews. For freshness 10 stars if possible - but for execution 2. I had to rely on the sweet plantains as a palette cleanser. All in all, hope they make adjustments so they can continue offering what is promised as the quality of fish is good and it's a very clean place with nice ambience.

Had an amazing time here! Food was so delicious, we had salmon, grouper sandwich and the catch of the day. The place was packed but they were quick. We got our food and were able to enjoy everything. The customer service was great, the lady who attended us was very sweet and friendly. There was another that handled us the food and she served us with a smile. I’ve always passed by this place and I’m glad we were able to finally go in. Definitely coming back for this place!

Hands down one of the best seafood spots in Miami. Delicious snapper platter. Perfectly seasoned with a side of cole slaw and the Cuban touch-tostones! The cilantro seafood soup was amazing. And to top it off, their Key Lime pie was delish!

The place is not ostentatious but super nice, the food is spectacular and Nataly's super attention, I was delighted with that whole combination, for seafood lovers I recommend it 100%

Two years ago I moved to Italy. On my return trips to Miami, FreshCo is always on my must eat list! I absolutely love the freshness and high quality of everything they offer. Sometimes I get one of their whole fish offerings prepared however I’m feeling that day. On this trip, I went in a different direction. Royal Red Ceviche and the Cracklin Calamari. The ceviche was loaded with fresh fish, shrimp and octopus in their zesty royal red sauce, green and red peppers, with onions & cilantro. Incredible flavor and fresh tasting. The calamari is tender flash-fried served with house sauce.

The conch fritters are probably the best ones I've had in Miami very close to the ones served in the Bahamas. The catch of the Day was mahi-mahi we had a breaded fillet it was very fresh I must say it was actually very good.

Everything of the best quality, service and the perfect atmosphere to share with family or friends.

Having grown up on the shrimp docks, I know good shrimp, and these are some of the tastiest I’ve ever had. By far some of the freshest and tastiest seafood I’ve ever had.

They added their own tip without informing us and didn't even bother to attend us much. In fact, you have to order at the register. She brought us our plates and that's it. She didn't bother to check on us. I had to go to the counter multiple times to get someone's attention. In addition, they kept forgetting about my shellfish allergy, the fish had no flavor, most of the sauces tasted primarily of mayo mixed with a hint of something else, and the side items were very small. I ordered rice as a side item and it was the size of an ice cream scoop. Most places are generous with rice because it is cheap. We won't be eating here again.

I've had a bunch of fresh fish in my life and love what I've had in Japan, but this plate is BY FAR the best all around fish and sides I've had in my life. First time here, won't be the last. This place deserves 10 stars!

Not sure what all the hype is about? Fish is fresh but absolutely tasteless. No table service as you stand in line to place your order at a counter with a cashier, then hope you find a table. The space is small and poorly designed as there isn’t sufficient room to stand in line without having others rub up against you. Same goes for the table set up, so tight and uncomfortable you simply want to eat and run. Glad we tried it but not worth the money or discomfort. I do hope for their sake they hire a better cook and redo their layout for a more pleasant experience.

A rip off. Too expensive for two tiny strips of fish and 4 shrimps. Vegetables were mostly peppers with five little pieces of squash. The food was also cold.

We went at lunch time. I ordered shrimp with salad and when I went to eat the salad it was bad. I told the girl at the cashier and she didn't change it. I won't be returning the dish. They are also very expensive.

In town for work and wanted fish. I went in around 3-30pm and was welcomed by smiling faces and a warm hello. The Conch Fritters were very good, and the Blackened Mahi sandwich was delicious. The service was amazing as well. The place is small yes, but in my experiences the best restaurants always are tiny places that focus on their food and customers. With that being said I enjoyed the ambiance of FreshCo and enjoyed reading the quirky saying and signs on the walls. 10 out of 10 I will be back my next trip to Miami in a few weeks.

We liked the fish but the fries was soaked, Plates are too expensive, next time will order a mahi sandwich. Restaurant doesn't have proper exhaust system, we got home totally smoked, smelling calamari.

What a great lil spot! I saw an amazing article in the Miami Herald about this place being the best seafood restaurant in Miami. I was intrigued and decided to go same day. Very cool lil spot in kendal. The food was awesome and the service was impeccable. This will be on my favs list for sure. The owner makes it feel special. He adds his special touch to the dining experience and makes you want to support him and keep coming back. I’m sold. you got me! The lemmon Pepper fish fingers were amazing. The Calypso grouper was awesome. The Oscar style grouper was delicious and the seafood mix was great. had to take food home.. Even the togo boxes were well thought out and great quality. no spills.. OHHHH and the key lime pie was perfect. I can’t wait to go back and try the poe boys. The lobster sandwich and the grilled octopus. I will be back sooner than later.

Blackened yellowfin tuna was superb. Mixed fish & shrimp ceviche was heavenly & the shrimp was sweet & “crispy”… very fresh!!! Cashier/server Natalie was extremely great, prompt,& very attentive. The place deserves 5 stars & 5 diamond rating.

I loved my octopus dish and the restaurant. My wife was served Overcooked shrimp. When they returned the supposed newly cook shrimp, it was the same shrimp My wife won't go back i will.

If the customer orders and pays for a large snapper, don't serve the customer 2 small ones without asking them first. Is not what the customer ordered.

Update: Came in about 4 30pm and Girl named darlys saw me waiting at cash register for like 10 min and ignored me , went to attend other costumers and not me.( The other girl was busy attending other costumers on the tables), I feel this attendant is just very unprofessional. I won't ever come back to this location cause horrible attendant. I have been coming here for a year or more, always ok Today I came around 2 30 and notice fried fish (catch of the day) was not fried enough, estaba como un poco crudo , and soup was too salty.

Unfortunately, my experience was horrible. The conch in the fritters were hard and chewie. They forgot to tenderize them, and fried filet was overcooked and dried. The Caribbean seafood plate with risotto, shrimp was hard and chewie, I was really sorry it was so bad, I don't recommend this place, and I will never come back.... they need a real chef in the kitchen

The food was absolutely tasty and succulent and the service was satisfying. My mother picked a great place and it was a great spur-of-the-moment decision to have taken the drive for this treat of a meal!

This place used to be good; I don’t know what has happened. I don’t give a 1 star because the crab cakes and the octopus were decent but the fried plantains were hard and greasy; also, we missed an order of black beans and instead they included an extra order of rice. In general we were not pleased with what they delivered.

I went in to pick up some ceviche and the service was great! The atmosphere was upbeat and fun and the food was delicious!

Nataly y Darlis were amazing! Our first time here, and we were extremely impressed. They both greeted us immediately and took our order right away. We have been to many restaurants in the Florida Keys, and this one in Kendall feels just like being in the keys but without a view. Both the Corvina and the mahi mahi were fresh and excellent! Highly recommend this spot. Darlis is very sociable and attentive.

Fish was very dry and tasteless. And when you get a bowl they should have the salad separate so it’s not hot from the rest of the bowl. Not enjoyable.

Mostly takeaway food but some tables. Very fresh seafood and quickly prepared to order. I can rarely finish my rather generous serving of calamari but someone at my office takes care of it for me so I don't have to bother with taking it home!! I keep going back because it's quick, convenient & good.

Service was impeccable, it is a rather compact location with the seafood in exposition right in front of the tables. Not a hint of odor but what was coming from the grill. Natalie made sure we had all our needs and wants. We salmon and corvina, flavors were perfectly balanced. Will definitely be coming back!
