The wings came cold. Sent back and the cook re-drooped them. So the second time they were cooked, we still got Uncooked chicken wings. Bartender was great, but we will not be back

Always the best wings on the beach! I sit outside and enjoy the busyness of Gulf Blvd. I mean…you won’t like it so don’t go there. I know you won’t like the loaded potato wedges with 20 garlic parm wings and a side of blue cheese and celery. Top that off with your favorite beverage. Do not go there. You will hate it. The service team is nice but overworked, running all over the place.

Laid back bar and grill. Drinks and food were excellent and very reasonably priced. All the burgers were good.

The good was delicious and the service was great. The blackened Chicken Salad had mixed greens and vibrant flavor in the chicken. The portions were generous and we were overlooking the water in the ac!

This was my first time coming and I had server/bartender Danielle and she has by far the best customer service I have ever seen she handled me and everybody at the bar so well I will be returning

Stumbled upon this little gem while walking the beach and needing a little refreshments. Sat at the outside patio area with Danielle and she was the sweetest angel and so kind. She made the 100 degree heat bearable. The regulars are just as nice, giving us so many places to go and check out. This really is the “friendliest” tavern

Looking for breakfast spot and everything was full decided to stop at the tavern on a Saturday morning at breakfast was excellent

The Karaoke with Kara was terrific! However, the flipn bartender(scrawny male) was a liar!! We asked for an appetizer and he said they just closed the kitchen. However, 2 more tables were served and that’s bad business for you. He didn’t want to work harder to serve us an appetizer! His tip was LIAR-loser!

Food was excellent. Service was fast and friendly. No complaints, would eat here again.

Very nice restaurant in the area. Restaurant is comfortable and clean and the service was quick and attentive. We ate once for dinner and once for lunch. We ordered the wings both times and they were delicious. They were meaty and the blue cheese was delicious! I had the peel and eat shrimp which were a good deal for the price and well cooked. My husband had a burger and fries which he said were better than most. When we came back for lunch we again ordered the wings which were very tasty! The only thing I was not a big fan of was the crab stuffed mushrooms. I love crab but this had a strong fishy taste. They were also cooked with wine and I found the wine flavor a bit overpowering. My husband got the club and fries. He said it was very good with a nice balance of ingredients. I would return especially for the wings. Butn. but skip the mushrooms!

After a day spent on Redington Shores Beach just across the road, the Friendly Tavern provides a nice cool respite inside or one can always stay outside and drink at the bar outdoors. We were inside and started with excellent Crab Meat Stuffed Mushrooms as an appetizer followed by a burger each. I had a Black Jack burger, my wife had a Drew’s burger. Both were delicious. Service by Gwen was great, the price before tip was $30.39, which included the additional 3.5% charge for using a credit card.

First impression was not welcoming. There was one table open outside and it was dirty. Had to ask the waitress to clean off the table. Waitress was already pushing coming in for Karaoke which we were there to have a drink and and an appetizer. Wanted a tap beer which to my surprise-no tap beer. I ordered a Miller Lite and my wife ordered a glass of Pinot Grigio wine. Wine came back in a plastic solo cup. We ordered the Nachos which were ok-but were given a “wet “ plate for sharing. Topper of the evening was my wife went to use the restroom and there was puke all over the stall. We paid our bill and left. Save your money-skip this place.

So my husband and I came from ORMOND Beach and decided to stop in to have food and a drink. Food was ummmm okay. But definitely not great at all. The drinks we ordered was a margarita and a bahama mama. The were so strong that off one drink your date would be a cheap drunk. Awful. We told the bartender that they were too strong to drink and her solution was to bring us a small cup of sprite which neither drink has sprite in it. We tried the sprite and they were still too strong. So we ate what we could and drank water. After receiving our check, the bartender was nice enough not to charge for our drinks. Not what we wanted cause we came there to have a drink. She never offered to bring us a different drink the entire time. After sitting there watching her talk to several people at the outside bar we were ready to go. Instead of waiting for our change , my husband went inside to ask the other bartender for change for a 20.00. Which he said he could not do because his change was low. Thank goodness for the waiter that broke it out of his tips so we could pay and leave. Definitely not the bar that my husband has talked about since the last time he was there.

Unfortunately they change the reservation policy from week to week to week when it comes to trivia. We've been there EVERY week since January and suddenly NO RESERVATIONS ALLOWED. As we entered over an hour early, four tables reserved. Pretty sure we can take our $$$ and trivia night elsewhere on the island! Good bye (un)friendly tavern.

My girlfriend and I came here for a quick drink and apps, and our bartender/server, Darlene, put the friendly in the Friendly Tavern. She was great, quick on the draw, and extremely personable! Can't wait until my next visit!

They had a burger with my name on it and I assume it’s good bc I’m so dang good. Didn’t eat or drink anything there this year but last year I had a fish sandwich that was good and the guy I picked up the food from waaaas friendly so yeah over all they tell no lies and you get what you think you’re gonna get. Bye forever now!

The drinks were great! The food? Not so much. The burger tasted like a pre fabricated frozen patty but I was told they “cut” them from a roll of hamburger. That make’s all the difference!!! And the fries were cold when they came out. On the plus side, they discounted the burger for me and the drinks were amazing! And after all, it’s a beach bar and we really weren’t here for the food so it’s all good.

Only ordered sampler platter and mushrooms. Everything was so over cooked it was inedible. No service whatsoever, didn't get any condiments with anything. I complained. Received 25 percent off what should have been comped. . don't go..

A tavern with no taps is interesting. Just bottles and cans. And there is no list to see. They have outdoor seating on the front deck. But they allow cigar smoking where the tables are. And with the front door open, it went right into the dining room. Luckily, someone shut the door because they were cold. It took a while. Enough the waitress told us they sent another guy to the kitchen to help out. There was only us and another table. I got a chicken ceasar salad, and my partner got the buffalo chicken wrap. 16 minutes later, they came out to say they were just waiting on the wrap. And yes, the other table had their food. 8 minutes later and it came out and was incorrect. Only one of us got a silverware set since I got a salad, and there was no other napkin for my partner. We noticed some tables had paper towel holders, but ours did not. It took me a while to get the waitress to come back to inform her the meal was incorrect. It was the salad. I said no dresses, and it was completely tossed in italian, not even ceasar. At that point, my partner was done eating with my help attacking his fries, and my patience had run out. It should not take hours to eat a simple meal when they are dead. I informed her of the issue and kindly asked her to remove it from my bill, which it was obvious it was not touched. I got a huge eye roll, and she walked away with it. They did remove it from our bill. My partner said the wrap was subpar, not hot, which is odd for the fact we waited for it. We do not need to go back ever. Friendly, they were not.

Ordered breakfast with a side of gravy. Inedible. Looks they scooped the gravy out of the grease trap. To be fair, tried stirring to mix and it wouldnt even blend. Disgusting. (Pic attached)

We waited over an hour for 2 soups a salad and mozzarella sticks that we never received.Very disappointed with the service. Would not recommend it

Ordered the kids grilled cheese meal and the blackened Mahi sandwich. The bread on the grilled cheese has never felt the warmth of a flat top or stove, as it was just two pieces of bread with 4 un-melted cheese slices.. and the for the Mahi, 0% flavor and wasn't blackened… but at least it was cooked. We did get a good laugh at the lack of effort tho. Don’t waste your money here

Super fun place and just like the name "Friendly"!

This place is right across from the public parking and beach access. We sat outside and love the tiki bar and they have great funny signs on the wall. The outside bartender was working hard to keep up and she did a great job. Not sure i would ever go back because our food was awful and not properly cooked. Also, while I'm sitting at a tiki bar and enjoying an ice cold beer, the last thing I want is for the bartender to give me a coaster with a DUI attorney ad on it..Yes, that happened.

Was great food but outside bar was different story, great on the inside but, that girl, Jamie was rude and the worse they call manager of the bar was a disaster. Her rudeness ruined the environment so I went inside and received the better service and enjoy my food was again delicious.

Staff was very friendly. The food was sub par. Nachos were ok. No gluten free buns and the Pina colada was terrible. Not sure if it was a poor mix of a very awful coconut flavored rum, but we couldn't even finish it.

First and last time there, and I really wanted to like this place. We moved here three months ago and I’ve been trying different places near our house. It took a half hour to get our food and it was mediocre at best. We got the burrito that said it had lettuce and tomato in it, which was almost impossible to find and it was cold. I ordered the baked grilled cheese, which sounded really good and asked for bacon on it. When it came out, the cheese wasn’t even melted. The sandwich was not grilled. It was two pieces of toast with two thin slices of cheese with some tomato and spinach. I told the waitress that I had ordered bacon. She told me she didn’t hear me. She took it back and came out and told me that he put it in the oven. The cheese was still not melted and she never asked me if I wanted to add the bacon , I told my husband this was drunk people food. People get a buzz and then they don’t care how good the food is. True but sad 😞

Nice server. Food was average at best. (They were out of most everything.) The biggest reason for the poor review was the drunk guy who they did nothing about. Loud yelling across the room. Then, when he didn't get the attention he wanted, he wandered around to all the tables, interrupting others.

Great atmosphere. Fun place to watch a game. Great bar food. However, I do not recommend breakfast. This place is not your best option, with several better choices on that same stretch of road. Will say good Bloody Mary and coffee.

We came to dinner Saturday night and have been coming here for a long time. It was freezing in the dining area. I first ordered the stuffed mushrooms and was told they were out of the stuffing. I then ordered a Rueben that came on white bread with clumps of meat. Absolutely horrible! We also had onion rings and tater tots where the grease obviously hadn’t been changed in forever! This place used to be top notch but isn’t anymore! Even changed the breakfast bagels so breakfast is no longer edible! Over the years it was amazing but unfortunately will probably be out of business soon if something doesn’t change. Very sad.

This place has really gone down hill. Can someone please do us all locals a favor and sell this bar to someone that actually knows how to run a business? I mean the potential is incredible but the food, staff and service is all trash now. Parking lot is always empty. No one ever goes there any more. What was once a cool locals spot has been disparaged by a penny pinching owner who turns customers away constantly by his terrible attitude. News flash- it’s not us it’s YOU! Sell this place and turn it over to someone that ACTUALLY CARES ABOUT WANTING THEIR CUSTOMERS TO ENJOY THEMSELVES!! 0 stars! Get it together!

I’m from out of town and they were very friendly and accommodating.

I am giving a 1 star because you cannot do anything lower. The server took the order without writing it down which led to bringing out the wrong food. The appetizer sampler was overcooked. The blackened mahi mahi sandwich covered half of a bun, to which the server said it looks like it needs another piece of fish on it. The tex mex burger was brought out instead of the chipotle burger, which was rectified by adding onion rings to the top of the incorrect burger. Drinks sat empty for at least twenty minutes while dealing with the food errors. When the manager finally came over, he had an arrogant tone and asked what we would like done. When we stated taking half off the mahi mahi and half off the sampler he said will that make you happy? They did take food off the bill. Overall, horrible experience and would never recommend to locals or tourists alike.

What is wrong with: would you like: More beer, food or is there anything else I can get for you?? This is a common theme… are you not in business to make money??? Devon (server) was the only person to make conversation and make you feel welcome. This business needs to try harder, especially out of towners who have money to spend! Very disappointing….

Fish was over cooked. The small cups filled to the brim with ice and a splash of coke makes for much work of server.
