We have been coming here for awhile and love the food , service and hospitality completely … we always try something new each time and tonight was the eggplant Parmesan and it was excellent!!

I had veal parmesan, and it was terrific ! The salad bar is always good and fresh. Soup was also very good , had to get seconds ! 😋.

We stopped in for lunch. I don't think I'll ever understand how they run the floor with regard to seating and server sections. It's hap hazard at best and always seems like we're forgotten while we wait for our server to come for a drink order (like they don't know which tables are theirs because they work in multiple areas - tables aren't clustered together making their life easy). Our server was friendly and somewhat attentive after she came for our drink order (we had asked the hostess which server we had because we hadn't seen her in about the first 10 minutes after we were seated). It was late afternoon and the restaurant wasn't busy. I enjoy soup and salad. The lettuce was really wet. The soups seemed weird to me. The minestrone was not a thick and hearty tomato based soup with pasta or rice. It was more like a vegetable soup with a vegetable stock base and no pasta or rice. The chickpea soup had potatoes and maybe sliced breakfast sausage (smoky links). My wife's chicken fajita wrap was really good. We'll be back and hopefully the service situation will improve.

Love the new look and great service. Food is always top notch. Really enjoyed having our dinner while enjoying festivities at the park. Lovely place, highly recommend.

Ordered from here thinking it was "real" Italian....never again. Frozen spinach and fake bacon on the pizza. Hardly any sauce. Don't waste your time on the French Onion soup, it is pretty much just beef broth with absolutely no flavor. Zappa Toscana soup is a waste as well. Clear brother when in reality, or Italian, it is a creamy soup with alot of kale and sausage. Extremely disappointed that as an Italian, this restaurant claims to be.

We have been here twice and both times I was not happy with my meal. The service was great and the salad bar is very good and nice and fresh too. My complaint is with the Veal Marsala and the Veal Parmesan I had. Both times the veal was very tough and had little to no flavor, very disappointing. . . My wife had Chicken Brian both times and that was very good. . . Nice time, if we go again, I will get a chicken something or a small pizza. . .

Don't order the Linguine with White Clam Sauce. Our party had 2 orders and not sure what you would call it, but it was a poor example of a pasta with white clam sauce. We order garlic rolls, and plain bread. Never got the garlic rolls! Then rest of the food was just okay. My friend wanted me to add that we ordered a White Pizza to go, which when we arrived home and opened the box we found it to be surprisingly uncooked. Play it safe and order you pizza well done! Lastly my friend told the server that he should of told us the the Pasta with White Clam Sauce had no Clams or Sauce on it and would be so spicy hot to the point of almost not edible. At the end of all this we suggested to the server that you should put a description under that dish on your menu. Or describe the dishes ordered. He replied, well you'll now know for next time what your getting. We replied that there won't be a next time. As for the White Pizza, thats in the trash.

Coming from the DMV -Northern Virginia I have to say . Wow for Florida pizza this place rocks. Got the white pizza with Italian sausage 👌🏼tasty. Highly recommend. Salad and soup bar is a plus. Friendly employees. Clean restaurant.

Best place in Wauchula for a good Pie! Pizza Pie!

CHICKEN FAJITA WRAP OMG!!!!!! This is my favorite lunch. The chicken is always cooked perfectly and its full of flavor. Giovanni's staff are always welcoming when I come.

Been here a few times during my travels to Florida over the years. This Florida Heartland eatery is a hidden gem. The highlight, of course, is the brick oven pizza that is well worth the wait. Both the regular cheese pizza and margherita pizza are delicious, as was the veal parm the one time I had that. Service is excellent, as is the ambience. Who knew Hardee County had such a great Italian place? Will return here on any future trips to South Florida or Southwest Florida.

This is a hidden gem in Wauchula on Main St. Excellent Italian restaurant with wide choice of pasta, fish, chicken, steak. Excellent attentive service, quaint decor, great outdoor area.

This place is truly special. The food is awesome and the atmosphere is great. I would recommend this place to anyone. The food here competes against Italian restaurants in any major city and beats most of them. Special shout out to the service we recently received at a birthday party held at this restaurant.

Wonderful marinara sauce. Large portions. Garlic bread was good. I had a calzone and hubby had the baked Italian sub. Menu has a lot to of good choices. Give them a try!

Giovanni’s is a weekly dinner spot! I love that they have dine in or outside options. Salad bar is delicious and their Chicken Bryan is always my go to dinner & the pizza is my lunch fav!

The food wasn't right, it was kinda cold and not much on plates and trout sauce just doesn't taste good it tastes burned. Pizza dough wasn't all the way cooked. Salad bar is well you can't f-up salad much! Maybe it's the cook maybe he had a rough night but 2 times in a roll or maybe 2 different cooks and both had rough nights! It would be nice if they could get a chef that kns how to cook Italian food, yes I kn what I'm talking about I'm Italian and for my family to say my cooking and old family recipes from the old country are much better.

We are visiting from out of town and wow - we are so lucky we chose this restaurant ! The chicken Marsala is authentic and amazing, lasagna really great, house made fresh bread with a side of sauce fantastic, Chianti outstanding, great sangria, chocolate cheesecake so so good. And staff was so friendly and attentive. Wish we could take this place home with us :)

This is my go to place to eat. They are so good at accommodating my food allergies, and every dish is amazingly good! Staff is wonderful, I love this place!

My husband and I go to Giovanni at least once a month. We love the Lobster Ravioli with white sauce. 😋

We had soup and salad bar, also lasagna a couple times and pizza several times. I would recommend the pizza maker guy deliver the pies to the table when ready. At least twice the pizza was cold because the waitstaff was busy chatting in the front lobby while it sat. All the food was good, but service was not attentive.

I lost my appetite when a couple showed up with their dog then proceeded to put a restaurant plate with some food on the ground for him. Won't be going back there.

The food, service and atmosphere are all great. You can't go wrong at Giovanni's.

Maybe because I'm from New York and I expect the pizza to taste different, but this was definitely not a good pizza! I've had better at Hungry Howie's!

Food is good some portions a little smaller than usual we had an excellent waitress we had 17 people and she didn't miss a Beat I'll charge 3% for credit card use

Food was very tasty. Portions were plentiful. Salad bar was good size. Service was excellent. We had Calzone and mushroom ravioli. Both were excellent.

Service at the front desk took a phone call and made us wait when we had stood for at least 5 minutes waiting to be seated at the front entrance and asked us to continue waiting. When I stated that we were there waiting before the phone rang we wanted to be seated. She said, I quote " I will be with you in a couple of minutes." After finally being seated on the patip after requesting the table be wiped from 3 separate waiters Our patio table never was cleaned off and never wiped! Needless to say I will never be back or recommend your establishment,

Giovanni's Italian restaurant is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy atmosphere. The food was simply outstanding - every dish burst with authentic Italian flavors and was prepared with great care. The service was impeccable, attentive but not overbearing. I highly recommend trying their signature pasta dishes and don't miss out on their delicious tiramisu for dessert! Giovanni's has definitely become our go-to spot for a fantastic Italian dining experience. Thanks for a wonderful evening!

We stopped on our way home and wanted something new. Tried the minestrone soup it was superb , the Alfredo was also good. Let .e tell you when you say yes to garlic bread be prepared to bring some home and ask for extra Alfredo because they are not stinchy on the bread .

2nd time we ordered a pizza to go… both times cold and undercooked. Not sure what’s going on with their pizza oven. Maybe the workers aren’t trained properly? Or oven isn’t working. Totally doughy in the center and had to re-cook… not reheat, when we got home. That’s even after we asked the kid to put it back in the oven when we picked it up. Toppings are good but… undercooked dough.

So we have been here before. It was a favorite place for us. The food is outstanding but the hostesses need to remember that they are the first impression. Not feeling very welcome at the moment. The owners need to reassess who they place as the face of their establishment.

We walked in and it wasn't busy (probably should have been our clue) and we ere seated right away. Promptly got a beer and our order place. Then the waitress just disappeared for around 50 minutes. We got the salad bar so we ate, and ate, and ate salad. We both ran out of drinks, would have liked more garlic bread and the wife finally found where the napkins are kept so we at least had napkins. After 50 minutes we saw our waitress. The wife chased her down (didn't come to check on us) and asked when our food would be coming out. She disappeared again and a few minutes later came back with our meals. I was then asked for drinks and bread, she said the bread would be extra, really, wow. By this time we had filled up on salad anyway. So we got to go containers and left. I realize this isn't fast food but no service at all. Will not be back!

I had lasagne. It was average. Only place in this small town I could find for my B day italian dinner. Very popular though. I think next time I ll get pizza. No recommendations for food.

Where do I even start! All of my friends and I are regular customers at Gio’s. We absolutely love the staff and have never had an unfriendly waiter or waitress. Not only do they have a wide variety of food to choose from but everything I have ordered has been delicious. I enjoy the atmosphere and cleanliness as well. 10/10!

Please read other reviews about rude service.... I loved going here. They had that "The Lunch ATOP a Skyscraper" picture in the men's room (gone now) and the service was great. Until today, we came in, asked if we could sit at an empty table, they said ok, got our own menus, and we were ready to order. Then we were told (by a probably 15 year old waitress), we seated ourselves and we must move. I said no we were seated. She insisted we must move. I said NO! We are leaving. Don't like being accused of being a liar and being ordered around . The things is, we were probably going to have them cater a 20 + lunch for Hardee county worker's in about a month. My Money is now going elsewhere and they are out hundreds. Hire people with a brain and don't piss people off. You might like their money, haha Buy local but not from them! UPDATE - I love their response. As you can see the customer is always right! I should have been rude as they say and caused a caused a scene. "Pretty sure you actually seated" You're "Petty Sure" but you called me a liar anyway. Check with your male waiter. He said I can sit there....... You are a piece of work! Lowering to one star now due to THIER rude response. Copied below in case they back it out...... By the way, the Chinese place is great, GO THERE as they say FROM THEM: Dear Sir. You are rude. While your grumpy presence will certainly be missed, we will do our best to get by without you. Enjoy many, many wonderful buffet dinners at the Chinese Buffet down the road. I'm pretty sure you actually waited to be seated there though.

Food was delicious and came out very fast and the service was amazing.

Super busy Saturday, and our server was still very sweet and as attentive as she could be. Chicken Napoli was super tasty, classic lasagna was great, and the salad bar was fresh and varied! Free bread was so good, and we ordered olive oil and spices. I'm not sure what more I was expecting with the olive oil and spices, but I wouldn't order it again. Though, she did bring fresh soft bread to dip in it, and that was appreciated. Great staff!

Place was packed for Valentine’s Day. Staff was amazing at taking care of everyone. Great food and prices. Would definitely go back when we are back this way. Previous post with 1 star doesn’t make sense. Some people are never happy I guess.

Went in, not really busy. Got sat down right away. Waitress came, said she would be right back. Sat for about 20min, never came back so we just left. Didn't even get a drink order in 20mins after being seated.

Service has been very sporadic lately Sometimes good sometimes awful as is the food. Perfect pizza one night; half cooked the next time and wrong toppings.

We went for the Wood Fired Pizza on my Birthday and were not disappointed. .It was good....booths and tables inside a nicely restored downtown building. They also have an Outside area and a city park right next door.

Such a cute place, pizza was amazing. Can’t wait to go back to try some other dishes.

My husband and I went here for the first time since March. We were thrilled to see two dining areas plus the patio. I ordered the Chicken Bryan which was amazing. My husband ordered the Chicken Napoli which he loved. Of course I had to get the tiramasu which is so delicious. We'll definitely be coming back here.

Sat outside was So Nice. Thr portobello ravioli was Amazing. The calamari was Great. The fried shrimp was not so great portion was surprisingly small... But the garlic bread is terrific the salad bar and soups were super nice too.

We met a friend here for lunch. The Mushroom and Brie Soup was delicious. We can also recommend the pizza. We had the Margarita Pizza, the Oven Fired Plain Pizza and one with Artichokes and Anchovies. The Lasagna was wonderful with especially good sauce. We drank pitchers of Sangria that we really enjoyed. We all would recommend this restaurant.

Kinda place ya want to try everything on the menu bc of how good everything you have tried was. But then everything you try is SO good, you always want to have it again. That being said, so far I've still only had their Calzone & Eggplant Parm, lol, (which comes with (I believe homemade) angel hair side + Xtra good garlic bread & salad bar!! Hard to describe how good their homemade Spag sauce is. The salad bar is not huge, but ALL the best stuff; plus they rotate two different homemade soups (always excellent), as is (always) the service. TOTAL 5 stars. They also have a lovely outdoor area with nice views. You just can't go wrong here, and prices are modest, especially for what you get. You could say it's like Olive Garden ...on steroids 😂

Absolutely delicious! Rich in flavor, great food portions, and affordable. We had the Grilled Chicken Parmigiana & Lasagna and it was delicious. The Baklava is also rich in flavor!

Waitress was both pleasant and congenial without hovering, good food seems to have gotten smaller since their expansion, chairs are remarkably heavy and hard to adjust.

We had large group following a funeral we were treated with much kindness by all the staff, tables were ready waitresses very efficient. Food was wonderful and varied hot and delicious.

Placed large order for pick up today, for 30 employees. When I was paying, with the corporate card, the girl started writing in the tip, and we said no-no-no, the manager came out and said didn't they tell you we add 15% gratuity to the order? Uh no because if you did we would not have placed the order here. They said they'd let it slide this time, but they won't have to worry about me again. Pretty shady if you ask me

Had white chicken parm...excellent and a huge serving!

We really enjoyed their panini style sausage sub,tasty fries sprinkled with garlic, salt and parsley, refreshing Margherita pizza made with fresh mozzarella and amazing tiramisu. This is our new sit down Italian place now, can’t wait to try more! Delicious food, friendly staff, clean bathrooms.

Really good service nice people and kind and sweet

Food was very tasty and abundant. We ordered two lasagnas for our family of 4 and we had left over. The salad, soup and bread are very filling and delicious. Service is great, and it looks very good after they remodeled it.

Great food and service this past Sunday. Love the new building area. Food was tremendous. Took another couple with us to experience the restaurant. All of us had great meals.

Visited on Wed June 28, '23. You'd think these people would have posted that they were closed for renovations. Would have saved me the drive from Lake Placid. It's unfortunate that it's the only italian restaurant within a 30 mile radius, an aquasi italian at.

Nice little home town restaurant. Street parking with inside or patio dining. The food was better than average. I had an interesting dish, pulled chicken lasagna with white sauce. Very different. They have a combination, pick your pasta, more than 5 sauce types, and add ingredients like meat, cheese, broccoli, and more. My wife had penne, pink sauce, sausage and broccoli added. Their pink sauce was more cheezy and not a vodka sauce. More chicken and seafood combinations too. Salad bar comes with each entrée. Many soft drinks to choose. Brischetta was different. Three large, thick, bread slices with toppings. The bread was an inch or more thick, and could have been thinner. They do offer pizzas, sandwiches and wraps too.

Outstanding lasagna and mushroom soup..... Waitress was pleasant and attentive.

From the time we entered, we felt like family. Portions are more than generous. I ordered the Chicken Parm, and it was so good. The Zuppa Toscana was amazing. I wish I lived closer because I would be there weekly. You will not be disappointed.
