Great bar in Amelia Island! Cool decor, excellent service and quality entertainment (live Bands). Was a bit smokey smelling though outside.

I was so excited to come try this spot, especially after reading all the rave reviews. However, that quickly changed when I walked through the door. The male bartender with the long hair was incredibly rude, and had an attitude for no reason. I was looking forward to buying drinks and staying most of the night, however needless to say I purchased one drink and left. Very disappointing.

If you're looking for a hang out where you can be yourself and enjoy AMAZING music....THIS MUST BE THE PLACE!! BANDS LIKE Ivey Brothers (Souls of Joy), Fat Cactus.....You won't be disappointed! Great place to just have an amazing time!

Six stars on the atmosphere ! A great local meeting place, Saturday is the night to go! Kind of bummed there's no food ( at least i didnt see any), but you can bring your own. The bartenders were great, the drinks cold and the music kicking ! Too bad you can't have an open container on the street, but, it's in the middle of a neighborhood, so I can see why.

I didn't have any food but the atmosphere is amazing. They had a band playing that was really good. The only downfall is not enough bar tenders, getting a drink was nearly impossible.

Cool bar!!! Don't eat there, the 10 cheese steak I got was a steak um w yellow cheese in a hot dog bun. Live music, fun times, will return!!!

The Green Turtle Tavern is a great little dive bar, full of charm and history. There is a court yard with a stage for musicians. Although it doesn't serve food itself, there is a grill outback for free-lance cooks to ply their trade. A must-see place for any traveler in the area.

The best bar on the island, hands down. Friendly staff, great drink prices. It's a local place that welcomes visitors. There IS food, Tuesday to Saturday evenings. Tacos on Tuesday, burgers and brats and sometimes wings on the other nights. But you aren't going for the food. You're there if you want to go to a great friendly place that has live music most days from 3pm onward. Enjoy!

I did not eat here but the music and atmosphere are awesome! Dog friendly with a wide age range. Super fun bar and people were great. Alot of townies so I knew it was a great place. Remember your chalk to write your name on the ceiling boards!

Our favorite drinking spot on the island! Bartenders are all super friendly and have heavy pours. Very accommodating for dogs 🐕. Live music at night as well. Seating both inside and outside

Live music and a festival vibe make this place a great place to hang and to dance! It gets crowed, so service is slow, but it is fine as long as you keep dancing! Tons of fun!

Very busy, fun atmosphere but only 2 bartenders, need an outside bar

Just walked up to the bar. Waited for a while. Seemed a bit longer than usual. Bartender came by and as I ordered 2 old fashioned (how much more simple can it get?), he says "too busy" and walks away. Won't drink here again.

Best place for music in Fernandina!

Best place in Fernandina to jam out with local music. I made it Turtle Jam this year. Very kool atmosphere and people.

Fun and Lively atmosphere. They typically have Live music on the weekends. Fun spot to drink and meet people. Bar staff is quick, wish the bathrooms were a bit more presentable. Over all fun place and will definitely be back.

Cool place with music and good vibes with everyone there

Arrived, rejected at the door, asked for a reason bouncer said “I can’t give you a reason because I don’t know it”, short girl with long black/brown hair was the one telling him we were rejected, so I kindly asked her to provide a reason why? Ignored us, thought it was because we were bringing outside food, drop off outside food in the car, and return. Still rejected *ask why -STILL no justification , (from the bouncer and the same girl) Inexcusable behavior. At this point I just want an answer as to why we’re not allowed. The place was clearly under capacity, we weren’t disorderly in any fashion and yet we were not allowed in. If no reason was provided I can almost assume that our rejection was racially motivated.

Small town feeling tavern. Everything from bottled to draft beers and even an outside bar (cash only ATM broken). Live music as well!

Great laidback bar with live music nightly on porch or full stage. $2 pbr 16oz!! Small inside but lots of outside seating when the weather permits.

Fun place to hang out and listen to live music in the evening. People really filled the outside patio, dancing and drinking. Lots of energy. Not a lot of seating so most of the time we were standing. Wasn't a problem for us but could be for you, if you can't stand a long time. They do have some picnic tables so come a little early to grab one. The band was really great, and the people were friendly. It is hard to miss because the house/business is painted a dark green! 😁 They serve food and drinks, but we had already eaten so we didn't order anything. Good Vibes!!

The expanded back patio is awesome and when they put out the grill, you'll get a GREAT burger. Bartenders are friendly and live music mostnights.

You don't need to come here for food or service. It's a great local joint with cheap beers and fun lively outdoor patio with live music. We've been several times and had some great times outside!

We loved the live music from Souls of Joy at the Green Turtle 🐢 The music is outside.jn a large and beautiful courtyard with a nice bandstand, strings of lights streaming across the patio in all directions. Highly recommend 😁 We didn't eat here so no food review. Just a gorgeous day in beautiful Fernandina, FL.

Be careful, the bartender allowed 2 women to use our card for numerous shots and drinks. He “thought” they were with me and my husband. He acknowledge that it was a mistake when I refused to sign the slip. He told me he took care of it and I was shocked when I got my bank statement and was charged the $149. First time and the last time I’ll be back. Tried calling multiple times to speak to someone and no one has returned my call.

Didn't go for the food. Went for drinks and live music! Awesome place, will definitely be returning.

So rude. Sent us out before getting a drink. We were just on a little date and wanted a drink at 11 pm and told us that the empty seats were taken, and that she was about to say last call. The whole bar was full. And obviously we felt outed so we left.

Nice cozy place. With the temps being so cold it was nice to have the indoor area that was comfortable with the crowd. Fair proce for drinks. Good tunes playing in the background.

A local place with good people - live music & drink!

Lively iconic watering hole. Got this cup Oct 21 2023 during October Fest. Paid $6 plus tip for ShockTop draft in a 13oz cup. Excluding foam, the pour was less than 12oz by my estimate at that time. I was expecting typical 16oz pint. FYI

Had a great time listening to a cover band at the Green Turtle. Drink prices are reasonable.

Good atmosphere, cheap beer, can’t beat it. If you’re staying at the only hotel in Fernandina, the Hampton Inn, it’s a 2 minute walk to this bar.

Always a good time and excellent weekend entertainment. Pricing is not bad and considering the amount of people service is great.

Great location in town. The Courthouse Parking lot is right behind, so we walked through the rear where the band was playing. We got cocktails inside, even though a drink station was set up outside. We sat down when a seat became available and enjoyed the music & people.

Live music! Ends at 10 pm on a Monday, but if the weather cooperates, stop in for some tunes!

There are plenty of better bars in the area to spend your time and money. The female bartender was very rude to my wife when she simply asked a question. She doesn't need to be serving the public with that kind of attitude. We're new to the area, but won't be back here.

Since everyone and their grandma was partying at the Pirate bar for New Years we ducked out and found this gem. Lots of outdoor space. Stage for a large band and 2 full bars. Met some pretty cool people there too.

Great for boomers, bachelorettes, and guys who definitely went fishing that day.

Fun. Reminded us of our college years attending bars and parties. Loud live music, cheap beer, crowded and happening place. One of the few places open past 11pm in this town. If you're looking for a good time, you've found it. (Please give me a thumbs up if you found this review helpful.)
