Great coffee, both brewed and bagged Nice staff, cozy atmosphere

Greene beans is my favorite spot for all my loose leaf tea purchases. Staff is always so friendly and ready to help when I have questions. I'm there about once to twice a month to get all my teas. Their coffee drinks are also delicious. I never get the same thing twice. I'm always exploring their menu and their seasonal menu. It's also done right.

We get our coffee beans exclusively from green beans. We only get whole beans but they are always fresh with a large variety of coffees and flavors. Our favorite is the five bean expresso roast. It makes the perfect latte every time.

I really REALLY wanted to like this place but it's just alright...but not alright where I'm going here regularly. I get coffee (mostly iced, sometimes hot) almost everyday and this place is right next to me. But I've gone here three times, with three different orders and I just have not enjoyed my coffee every time. Most recently, I paid $6.69 for a medium caramel black iced coffee. For almost $7 I can go to any other local coffee shop, Cafe Perriot, Cloveberry, and I hate to put this in here, but Starbucks or Dunkin and get the same thing for cheaper. The coffee just has a weird aftertaste in my opinion, and this is from someone who LOVES coffee. I also feel like this place isn't a cafe... I would like to sit inside but it just feels very awkwardly laid out & dated on the inside.

Very happy that we have a local coffee roaster in Sparta and love supporting them, however this place could be five stars if the inside vibe was updated. You go in expecting a fun little artisan coffee shop and roastery and instead it feels like a hoarder's garage sale from the 80's. They have WAY too much stuff just laying around everywhere for sale. With a little effort they could completely transform the inside into a hip place to hang with couches, games, mood lighting, etc. Instead it's like walking into the entrance at Cracker Barrel. I'm all for local coffee shops and will continue buying coffee here, but they're really missing out on a TON of younger business with the current state of the place. Modernize the inside a bit, organize, get rid of all the clutter, and make it inviting for people to come hang and watch business take off.

Nice local shop with terrible overpriced coffee. You can get nice coffee by pound, but whatever they use for cappuccino or latte has no taste, nor flavor. Latte or Cappuccino also turns out extremely hot, almost boiling. Is it too much to expect a great cup of coffee from a local coffee shop? Great place to buy gifts, though. And very friendly staff.

Look, it's local and it's artisan, so it's not the cheapest- but it's not any differently priced than sb and I enjoy the brew more. Definitely make sure to view the "secret" menu- The tuxedo is my favorite by far. Cute things in the shop, great tea, 9-year-old loved the strawberry lemonade. Buy local!

Delicious coffee, the Tuxedo Latte was delicious and made perfectly. I love the options and variety you get there, it's a hidden gem that more people need to discover, especially if you want to experience fresh coffee made the right way.

The staff is always friendly and the items for purchase are unique. It always smells wonderful even for this non coffee drinker. I enjoy their hot chocolate. I never leave empty-handed and payment is quick and easy. Their serving wear amd payment is eco-friendly.

Staff was friendly, knowledgeable, coffee was unparalleled!

During the week, I do dunkin drive-thru. Cream and sugar - a couple larges a day. But weekends, it's Jamaican Me Crazy or Highlander Grog all day long - black. The two flavors we stock have low acidity and a subtle bitterness - it is the best coffee I've ever had. I don't even consider adding any sugar nor cream to my weekend coffee. Furthermore, the coffee is so romantically aromatic that family and friends all comment how our kitchen smells like some quaint local cafe from some getaway. Friendly and helpful staff. Store has may coffee and tea accessories also.

love this place! The coffee smells so good, it makes you want to buy a pound of each coffee! I always but 2 half pound bags so I can try them all 1 day!! The girl at the counter is awesome , she knows coffee very well and I usually have her suggest my coffee for me. The place in town for real coffee !!!

It is always a pleasure visiting Greene's Beans Sparta and Hackettstown. The staff are always friendly and knowledgeable of all the varieties of coffee beans, custom drinks and products in store. Family and friends have been going here for years. I pearsonaly feel they are way better than any chain coffee house (e.g. ⭐bucks).

Stopped in yesterday and the aroma of fresh ground coffee made my mouth water. Tried Highlander Grog at home this morning and was blown over! Superb flavor, not bitter and a hint of....? No idea, but was awesome! I wish you folks would open a store way up here in the mountains of the Poconos! My very best place for coffee!

Nice relaxed place with some comfy chairs and lots of choices of great looking and smelling whole beans to take home. Also a nice selection of coffee pots and makers, mugs, and teas. Cool people behind the counter round out the vibe nicely.

If you love your beans and take them seriously, this is the place for you. There is real passion in the roast and it shows. The only thing I would change about this spot is the styrofoam cups :(

Beans are good. Staff is super helpful/friendly. Just wish they'd be more responsible with single use plastic and Styrofoam. Not only does it kill the taste of coffee, the cup well be around for 500 years to remind your grand children's grand children how irresponsible we all were. I only go now when I have my own cup. Muffins are also tasty.

Absolutely delicious Irish Cream cappuccino.

I started frequenting Greene's Beans when I was 14 years old (I'm 26 now) and I've never had a single bad experience with their coffee or staff. First of all, the coffee they sell and serve is absolutely top-notch. They're what you'd think of as a bit of a hipster coffee shop, but everyone there is consistently down to Earth and friendly. The selection of coffees from all over the world can be a bit dizzying if you're not looking for anything in particular and just want a great cup of coffee, so just ask any of the employees and they'll give you every bit of information you could want to know about anything they carry. If in doubt, just try whatever the person behind the counter recommends and I give you a 95% chance of falling in love with whatever you decide on. The staff were willing to put up with my obnoxious teenage self and they still seem happy to serve me when I come in these days, so they clearly have the patience of saints and enough passion for their craft to make anyone happy with what they offer. I'll be a customer for life and I can't imagine anyone who's experienced how delicious their coffee is being willing to settle for anything less after the first few sips.

Great selection of fresh coffee and the home brewer and professionally prepared coffee and espresso drinks to enjoy on location or on the go. A knowledgeable and courteous staff completes the experience.
