Amazing food. My grandchildren loved the butter chicken so much that they kept eating spoonfuls of the sauce 😋 😍

We did takeout so can’t speak much on atmosphere but the food was wonderful. We really enjoyed the peshawari chicken entree and naan with the chutney assortment! We really appreciated the large entree portion. Will definitely eat here again!

Food was great. Almost wasn’t sure if I was at the right place when I drove in because I only saw the sign for an Irish Pub. Overall great food and staff service was excellent and attentive. I’m only in town for a wedding and haven’t had East Indian food in a while and decided to treat myself and the family. I definitely wasn’t disappointed

Oh my GOSH!!! So good. First time in and I will be coming back. The tikka Marsala w. Chicken…. Let me tell you- FANTASTIC! Medium heat with the basmati rice, more than enough food for two meals and then some. Don’t sleep on this place! Service was very good and the drinks were consistently refilled. This establishment cares about the quality of food and service: no disappointments here! Vegetarian/Vegan options….went with a party of 6 others and everything was nice and quick. I didn’t feel rushed and had a great family atmosphere. 1000% ⭐️

First the good, I will say this is honestly the best Indian food in the area. The owners and servers are very friendly and the service was excellent. The only problem is OMG it's expensive!! My son is sick and he really wanted lamb tikka masala and this one is the best. So I placed a pickup order and when I got there I was absolutely shocked at the price. Also we were kind of forced to tip them even though it was a pickup order, so the order total for one person for a lunch was $36. Oh my goodness I almost swallowed my tongue lol. The sad thing is even though the food is really good there was not a soul in the restaurant at lunch time. And I think it's truly only because of the prices. I really think they should at least think about offering some lunch specials. I would go a lot more often and so would most people I know if the prices weren't so high. However for a date night maybe or a special occasion or if you can afford that kind of money lol it really is a nice place to go and get really good Indian food.

This quantity of butter chicken for $24 bucks?? You got to be kidding me!! 2 pieces of naan for $9 bucks!!! The taste was not even it… when you cater to non-Indians but name the store Indian.

Fantastic restaurant truly a hidden gem. Delicious authentic flavourful indian dishes. You can taste the passion and dedication from the chef who we were told starts cooking since 4am. Beautiful decoration but most importantly amazing service. The food was great and the taste was spectacular, and the food is great. Would recommend to people visiting Florida. Atmosphere is great, soothing music in the background. If you like music that is quiet and calm this is the place for you. Service here was great, we had 1 nice server who was so nice to us the entire time we were there, she even recommended us to some dishes we liked. This place has the TripAdvisor award of 2017 & 2020 as a top 10 in trip advisor.

I ordered lentil soup and tandoor chicken. The soup was like porridge. The meat was so dry that I couldn't swallow it. It was horrible for a restaurant with such a rating. I don't recommend these two dishes.

Very welcoming atmosphere. All of the food was delicious. The portions were large enough to take home for a second meal. Definitely try the lamb Tikka masala and shrimp korma.

Guru was so good and delicious. The staff were amazing and friendly. They made sure the dishes were not too spicy for us and even brought out more spice for me who could handle the spice. So much food, honestly could share a main with naan. Veggie Platter is amazing could have just ordered 2 of them for the meal. 💯 come to Guru and support the local business.

Was told “everything has gluten in it, everything. You can’t eat here since everything’s has gluten in it.” Super disappointing as I eat Indian food ALL the time because there are so many options that are gluten free in Indian food. Sounded more like the owner just wanted to make it so people with allergies couldn’t eat there to avoid trouble or something? Otherwise I’m not sure why the owner is putting gluten in all their dishes that don’t traditionally have wheat products in them… like I couldn’t even get their rice apparently… also told I could bring my own food next time which was odd. So warning to those with a gluten allergy, celiac, or wheat allergy.

My wife and I visited here today on our way home from a trip to Gainesville. It was our first visit. We ordered the mixed meat biryani, an aloo Nan and fries. We were asked the spice level we wanted which was appreciated so we got it right. Food was delicious, service was excellent with staff being friendly and attentive to our needs. This will not be our last visit.

If I could leave a one star review I would. Ordered $79 worth of food from Guru for mother's day. Did a pickup since on DoorDash they had a coupon for buy one get one free of the butter chicken. When I got home and opened the rice INSIDE the lid STEAMED in was a dead baby roach. After seeing this we all couldnt eat the food. I called the store to speak to the manager who was BEYOND rude. He said it wasnt his problem and that that is between me and DoorDash and NOT HIS PROBLEM. He then tried to switch the blame and say that it was one of there seasoning. All I asked for was for my food to be remade with no roach in it this time. He tried to say that there was probaby roaches in the DoorDash drivers car and that's how it got in there. I explaind to him: 1. I did not DoorDash it, it was picked up from the store. 2. I explained to him that it was INSIDE the sealed container and that it was steamed onto the lid.

Super cozy, fresh flowers on the table, very clean and the food was amazing!

To be fair, I am not an expert on indian food. We have visited twice, and I am looking forward to our 3rd. Great place, always busy, but I have had no issues getting a table at all. We have called ahead and made reservations.

Finally gave Guru a try and OMG! It was everything everyone raves about and then some! The food was absolutely delicious and so fresh! The service was great. Can't wait to be back!

Biryani was flavorless and they put cilantro even though I requested no cilantro. The chicken Tikka masala however was very delicious, it was full of flavor and rich. Also I ordered the food through grubhub to be picked up at 6:45 and food was cold when I got there. They seem to have made it earlier. Very disappointed about he biryani.

Had a sit down and a takeaway. Both very good. I'm British and live in a Bangladeshi/Pakistani community so we eat curry at least twice per week. Byriani had plenty of whole spices like cardamom and cinnamon so we know it was cooked fresh. Crispy onions finished the dish. Honestly very good Indian food ❤️

We got butter chicken and chicken tikka Marsala and garlic naan and it was incredibly delicious! I highly recommend this medium heat for anyone that enjoys good food.

We love guru. We visit about one a month and find everything from the quality of the food to the service to be fantastic. It is always our go to Indian. It is a little on the expensive side, but it seems like everything is expensive.

This place is semi-hard to find but is well worth searching out. Extraordinary Indian cuisine. Super sized meals and 100% satisfaction.

It's a little tricky finding the entrance to the restaurant, but it is well worth it. Food is delicious. Service is excellent, and the wait staff really seems to enjoy explaining the menu. I don't enjoy extremely spicy food, but since I got to choose my spice level, I was happy. The servings are huge. Two can easily share a dish. We always take 1/2 home

Owner is really nice and the restaurant has a nice cozy atmosphere. This is great if you go when it’s not busy, but it gets quite hectic when is busy since there are limited seating. The food is pretty good; however the prices are high and portions seem to have gotten smaller over the years. There are limited options for Indian food in Clermont….supply and demand I guess. Lots of great alternatives at better prices if you are willing to drive to Orlando.

I have ordered Guru delivery an unfathomable number of times and have tried nearly everything on the menu by now. The food is mouthwatering, fresh, and authentic. The chefs are capable of delivering delectable curry with a spicy zing that tingles the palate. I surprise myself to state a vegetarian dish of 10/10 spice level malai kofta is probably my favorite with lamb rogan josh, chicken or lamb korma, butter chicken, and chicken tikka masala all tied for second. The mango ice cream and mango lassi are a sweet treat to indulge every once in awhile. They also offer a variety of breads that I use to scoop up the meal, instead of a fork, which adds layers of flavor. The quality and service has always been impeccable. The chefs have always honored my request to sprinkle a little fresh cilantro and chopped green chilis on my curry to kick up the flavor profile an extra notch. This will always remain a top favorite of mine and my go to delivery option! I have patroned the establishment only once in person and I also had an unforgettable meal and friendly service.

This place is a gem!! Definitely the best indian restaurant in not only FL but the United States Of America. My family and I visited for dinner tonight. The service is amazing. Several times,we were checked by staff to ensure that all is well. We even spoke to the chef who bade us farewell. This restaurant is a must visit for all!!

The wonderful aroma in the restaurant intrigued my palate as soon as I entered into the establishment! The service was great and everyone was friendly. I had the chicken tikka masala with light spice. That was just the right amount of spice for me, not too much but enough to know it's there. The dish was very flavorful. I also had the garlic Naan. It was perfect! I did get the opportunity to try the mango lamb as well. She had it with medium spice (it will definitely clear your sinuses). It was very good though but I would have liked the lamb to be a little more tender. I will definitely be back here! I've added it to my top 10 favorites restaurants!

Best Indian food in Florida by far. Tonight was even more magnificent… my fiancé & I was out of town but felt for nothing else but the curry lintel soup. Still because of traffic we arrived late with only 30 mins remaining before closing. Outstanding quality food! Got take-out tonight and it was delicious - Aloo Gobi cooked just the way I asked (mild), it came with an almost buttery-type of rice, yum. I also ordered two samosas which came with a slightly spicy green yogurty sauce, and a sweeter red sauce, both excellent. Portions are on the smallish side but the food is rich and filling. This restaurant is a hidden gem in a very quiet location, love that, next time I’ll sit and enjoy the food and privacy of the location. Would definitely recommend to any foodies out there.

I discovered this little place last month and have been back 4 times already. The owner is great and the staff seem to genuinely care about working there and their service. Food and Service is always great no matter your server or day. Best of all its kind of in a quiet and hidden spot with plenty of outdoor seating on nice days. Great for the family and date night.
