I love GYROS, I have had them in a few different countries, not just cities or states. This experience today was one of the best GYRO sandwiches I have ever had, it was simple and yummy, If you love Gyros go, The owner and I had a conversation, friendly good people. Its a win - win. Will definitely be back, many many times

Horrible! The rice and chicken were dry and tasteless. The eggplant was nonexistent and the cost was outrageous. Had it been good I would have been glad to pay the $40 we were charged. As it was, my dogs turned their heads on it. Never going back. Listen to me, DON'T spend your hard earned money there. It's not worth it.

The food was very good at a reasonable price. The lady behind the counter was very helpful and helped us pick out what we wanted to eat. I was surprised when they brought the food out to our table instead of calling us up to come get it. The back area where the bathrooms were could use a little TLC. Overall a great place to get Middle Eastern and Greek food. We'll go back.

Great spot for an authentic gyro. They are very generous with the meat, almost twice as much as anywhere we have been in town. Their homemade taziki sauce is very tasty and compliments the gyro well. Falafel are fresh made to order as are the fries. Their great food is only exceeded by the very friendly staff/owners. They are very nice people. Couldn’t recommend enough.

This place is severely underrated and deserves all the love it can get. I love gyros and these are the absolute best ive ever had! Will be telling everyone i know about this place.

I have lived a lot of my life in Ocala, FL… and somehow I have never tried this place until last weekend. Absolutely amazing food!! The lamb and beef gyro is so good and their tzatziki sauce is delicious. I regret not having tried this place sooner. This would’ve been my go to place for food. Every time I visit Ocala, there’s no doubt I’m getting lunch here!

Absolutely fire, amazing food. The owner is such a homie, super cool. The staff in general are cool too. I get the gyro combo everytime and it literally is so good it fixes my mood from the whole day. It could be like the worst day ever and then I get a gyro from this place and BOOM it’s way better. Like, for real, when I say day/game changer….it is. Go get a gyro today or tomorrow or anytime but just make sure it’s from this place!

Their gyros are packed with meat and delicious! They don't skimp on flavor or serving size. Makes a nice go-to for something different! I'll be back!

I had the sampler n added gyro meat. It was great well maybe not the baba gnoch stuff, but im not sure what thats supposed to taste like so maybe its not for me.

I ordered the chicken gyro. The fries were fresh, however the chicken was very bland to me. If the chicken was cooked on the grill, it would probably enhance the flavor. I will say the owner was very welcoming and got my order out in a timely matter. But I would not try again.

I've driven past a million times. Today ordered dinner. Lamb & beef gyro, side greek salad. Very, very good! The staff was kind and the service was quick. Will definitely go back!

This place is the best and as original as it gets. We enjoy the fresh carved gyro sandwiches that are STUFFED with great taste and what comfort food! Clean, welcoming, and CONSISTENCY.

First time eating at Gyro Grill. Was welcomed with kindness and the service was fast. I purchased the gyro combo- includes fries and a drink for less than $13, which in my book is a deal, especially for the portion size, which was generous. The gyro was amazing and fries were good. Very happy, and I will be back.

Absolutely do not sleep on this place, it is incredible. The food is all made from scratch and it is as authentic as you can get. Not to mention, the amount of food you get for the price is unbeatable! The owners could not have been more pleasant and were so helpful as this was our first time here. I will absolutely come back time and time again!

This small restaurant is easily overlooked because it's in a small plaza. DON'T OVERLOOK IT! The gyros are so good! The salad tasted like it had a lemon based dressing on it, so if you don't like lemon you might not like it- but I loved it. Portion sizes are good for the price. I definitely recommend the lamb gyro and pistachio baklava. The owner is very friendly and respectful. We'll absolutely be back!

UPDATE 3/28/24, nothing has changed other than we can't get enough of their food and side items like Turkish delight! Original review: We love the Greek and middle-Eastern blend at this grill. Everything has great flavor! We recommend the mixed grill plate. Comes with a pita, rice, tzatziki sauce, Greek salad and the best part...THREE meats that are so yummy that words are not sufficient enough. I make myself a gyro with the pita, sauce, and the gyro meat. Then the other two meats make a dish worthy of recognition and accolades. Come check out why this is our new Greek favorite. FYI, I've had over 40 years of Greek food in many different states and parts of Florida. We have my number 1 right here in Ocala! Hope you agree with us. To the owners, thank you for the great conversation about food being a worldly language. I couldn't agree more. Execution of a dish matters more than where someone came from. We got Lamb & Beef Gyro and Chicken Shawarma Platters, along with stuffed grape leaves. The flavor was outstanding and portions were big. Prices were very reasonable.

The best gyro town, family owned, best authentic flavor. I've been coming here for years, definitely recommend this location for a great Greek meal, fresh food, you can come here alone or with family. We are a family of 8 and we come here at least once a week, it's very good

They were super kind but the food did not live up to my expectations. The shish tawook was dry and not much flavor...the same with the baklava. My husband liked the mixed grill but not as good as our local joints in michigan.

I discovered the Gyro Grill last night and had the gyro combo. It was the best gyro I have ever had! Well worth the drive.

Gyro and fries were really really good. The tzatziki Sauce is outstanding. It's a small place and dining is on the Spartan and economical side. It's okay but nothing to write home about. I saw lots of people coming in for takeout. If I lived closer I would be doing the same. Good place!

I have eaten here a number of times and every time it has been great. This is a hole in the wall kind of place with great food. It reminds me of the neighborhood gyro place I grew up by in Chicago and that's high praise. I look forward to going there.

Tasty food! The gyro actually tasted of lamb, which you don't get everywhere. The fries were plentiful, fresh, and crisp. Folks are very hospitable and friendly, too!

Outstanding gyro! I had the lamb gyro (original) and it was bursting with flavor and meat! The meal gets you a gyro, soda and fries at a very reasonable price. Everything is made to order so it’s fresh, hot and the place is impeccably clean. They go out of their way to make it how you like. We will definitely be back! Thank you!

Very good food. I loved the Gyro sandwich with lamb inside. My mom loved the Greek salad with lamb. We also got the Baklavas, so so good, the pistachio one is amazing and the walnut one is good too! (The baklavas were so good I ended up getting 2 more orders of them lol) The people were very nice. Very pleasant experience. Definitely coming back again for another gyro and some more baklavas😎😊.

This is a whole on the wall in a strip mall. It is nothing fancy but the food was good. It was a bit expensive for what you received but it was better then some of the places I have been to. Over all I would go back if I was around there and really wanting some Greek food but I wouldn’t take a trip out that way if I wasn’t.

This place makes the best falafels and gyros! They make their falafels fresh every day using soaked chickpeas, herbs, and spices. The falafels come out warm and crispy and moist in the center. I recommend getting the platter over the sandwich unless you prefer the fries. The platter is more of a meal and a healthier option since it comes with a delicious Greek salad and fragrant basmati rice. Yummy! I’ve had the gyro sandwich here as well and it’s very good too!

Best gyro I've had in long time

Can't believe I waited 2 years to go to this restaurant. MAGNIFICENT food, Huge portions, friendly people. The set down area very clean. Good choices of drinks. Diabetics beware, the portions are way more than you should eat to keep tabs on your numbers. Be diligent in your choices and take the extra food home with you.

Absolutely one of the best gyros I've ever had. I say that as someone who lives in an area with a significant Greek population (in CT) and many Greek restaurants (I've worked in some of them). The service was very friendly and fast. I looked around in the open kitchen as well as the dining area and found it to be very clean and well organized. As a chef by trade and having certification in Professional Food Management and Sanitation I feel very comfortable with the cleanliness of the restaurant. The man at the counter chatted with me during the short time it took to prepare my gyros. I also got an extra side of tziziki sauce and some of their delicious baklava. I have to admit this was my second visit, as I was so impressed with my first visit I had to return to see if my first visit was just a fluke. I'm happy to say I received another impressive meal the second time as well. The gyro was loaded with delicious lamb, perfectly seasoned and still quite warm after my ride home. The baklava was flaky and not overly sweet. Why eat fast food when you can have fresh made delicious food for the same price? I will definitely return here every time I come back to Ocala!

I had been so jaded from the lack of any food culture in Ocala after years of being here, and stumbling upon Gyro Grill is a huge highlight. You will not be disappointed by a single dish here! I should've taken a photo of how beautifully prepared my Chicken Gyro platter was before I dug in. I ordered to go, while I was starving!! So I wasted no time to eat my meal. I travel all around America for work, and OMG best gyro I've ever had right here. Phenomenal, and the customer service was also phenomenal. I'll absolutely be returning.

I used to come here once a week when I lived in the area, I came back for the first time in five years today since moving away and it was even better than I remembered!!

It's a clean establishment. The gyro was okay. The sandwich came with tomato, sauce and onion and that's it.

If you want authentic, perfectly seasoned and freshly made food, this is the place to go. Had the falafel and grape leaves which were exceptional. Best falafel I've had for a very long time, and the grape leaves were perfection. Friend had the gyro which was superb. The pistachio baklava is out of this world. No hype, this little place is a treasure and the owners are wonderful people.

This is the second time we have been here. The first time, only my son ordered a gyro and fries. Today, it was myself, my two sons, and my parents. Two of us had a lamb gyro platter. One child had a gyro & fries, one a chicken shawarma & fries. One had a chicken gyro platter. The food was great. The service was amazing, the owner was friendly and happy to help with anything we needed. The baklava was delicious!!!! We will certainly be back.

Another hidden gem. Great food and good portions, so much so that we brought half of it home for dinner. The meat in the gyro sandwich was flavorful and tender, the fries hot and crispy, not greasy and the baklava sweet and yummy. Will definitely be back.

Absolutely delicious!!! I’m a fan of gyros and I go to almost every place that sells them but let me tell you this is AUTHENTIC Turkish food served by very kind Turkish people. I had the gyro platter which included rice and salad and I ate every single thing that was in that plate. I know I’ll be coming here almost every day, highly recommended.

A little gem in Jasmine Plaza. The lamb for the gyro platter is well seasoned and the Greek salad was delicious. We took Baklava home for dessert and it was great too. Ahmad is the owner, and he is friendly and makes sure that you are happy with your meal. We will return.....often.
