My wife and I had an amazing lunch at Hala’s on Shad road. There isn’t much seating at this location, but it wasn’t terribly busy. The food was on point and the man working there was very polite and helpful. Would recommend Hala’s to everyone.

I wish I could give 10 stars!!! Hala’s other location has been my absolute favorite Middle Eastern restaurant for decades & this newer location on Shad Rd. has the same excellent food & service. My favorite dishes are their Greek salad with grilled chicken & their to-die-for tabouli. When 3 friends & I met there for lunch yesterday, Amer did a PHENOMENAL job of not only preparing & serving our delicious meals but making us feel like very valued customers.

Honestly the most wonderful staff who are always eager to help. Love that there’s a grocery option with a lot of authentic products as well as the cafe. One of my favorite places to visit whenever I fly into the area for work!

Unfortunately, the food did not taste fresh. I didn’t have the lamb but the two I was with felt sick afterwards. The chicken combo I had lacked a base such as rice and side hummus served without pita. We questioned the freshness of the baked sweets as well. Sorry to say this, but I think it’s important that restaurants have fresh food.

If you like Mediterranean food, this is a great find. It seemed a little pricey to me. However the place was neat and clean.

Absolutely the very best Mideast cookies ever! Each one better than the first! I received these as a Christmas gift! I hope Santa remembers to bring us more next year! I may need to order some for Valentine’s Day! ❤️🎁❤️

Chicken shawarma was excellent! The traditional gyro and chicken gyro was large and flavorful. The hummus was excellent(the best I have ever had). We wished we lived closer so we could eat here more often.

Sweets Baklava, Khnafa famous sweet from the Holy land , Stop by check out their extra virgin olive oils variety from around Holy land along with so many healthy mediterranean foods.

So glad that I found this location. It’s a smaller more express version of the university location, but they still have lots of things to get. The lady working today was very friendly. I didn’t feel all weird and uncomfortable walking in because she was so nice. when I go to the location on University I would just order hummus and baba ghanoush but today I added a chicken Shawarma wrap and it was delicious… I was blown away with how something so simple was so good. I love the garlic spread that they use and she packed it on there. It was a little greasy but still Amazing. Definitely probably the most Authentic that I could get for Florida. It really reminded me of my favorite place growing up in California that I used to go to called Zankou Chicken. They always had the best wraps to me and the wrap here brought back some really good memories of that. I wanted to order another one but I didn’t want it sitting in my car until I got to Atlanta. I can’t wait to come back on my way back from Virginia heading home to Miami. I love passing through Jacksonville now because the food is always so good and people are always very nice. A far cry from Ft.lauderdale and Miami. It’s just nice to see happy people sometimes.

Nice place to get ethnic foods and ingredients. Owner is very friendly. Food is made fresh and to order. It was all very tasty, especially the lamb.

If you want amazing fresh flavorful food that is authentic and delicious this is the place for you this was my first visit I got the lamb Shawarma bowl and I will definitely be back. I love the fresh baked goods & dessert as well!

Love Love Love! I love that they have the grocery option and the cafe/ eatery option. My go to on my way home from a long day at work and not wanting to cook! THE BEST! HIGHLY recommend!

The gentleman who works at Shad Rd. location was super helpful. Small shop, need more Turkish stuff 😊for sure, but enjoyed shopping and eating there.

One word: Delicious! My husband and I picked up 2 lamb gyros and a Greek salad and it was all out of this world. Of course I took photos after we ate half the salad and half our gyros (ha ha). The portion size was just right and everything was extremely flavorful and fresh. Prices are reasonable and having another option for authentic take out in the Mandarin area (right down shad road just past the train tracks off Philips hwy) is a win win. We’ll definitely be back!

We've been going to the Hala's on University for a weekly lunch for years so we were excited to hear about the new location and stopped in on a whim while in the area. We were met with a friendly face and enjoyed delicious beef gyros with hummus and tabouleh. Will definitely be back when in Mandarin!

Our family is so pleased to have Halas in our neighborhood. My 7 yr old always wants to go so he can buy the mesic gum, pickled cucumbers and grape leaves. We like going because the food is prepared there, and makes the store smell so good. The olive oil is fantastic, the bowls I purchased are perfect, the dates (this time of year -July) are so fresh. We are so pleased with Our neighborhood Hala's!

Long time fan of Hala, the university location was my go to but now this one is even closer! Always the best & freshest food with awesome staff. Very happy with this addition make sure to swing by, it won’t disappoint!

This is a very much needed addition to the greater east mandarin area. The place is full of European grocery items, a great selection of olive oils, cheeses, coffees, fresh baked goods, and phenomenal deserts. I was very pleased with the prices and the service I received from Ali who was attending the store today. I got my greek pasta and taramosalata (greek fish roe spread), quality semolina, house made pita bread, interesting unique lunch pack of stuffed cabbage and other goodies

I found everything i needed it ! I wish they would open one in St Augustine !

My husband loves the cold bar and the hummus. He is hard to please being he grew up in Dearborn, MI with markets similar at his fingertips. I love their treats and coffee! Thanks for opening up a place with quality food and friendly staff. Every time we walk in my entire family always feels welcome.
