Jumbo Jimmy is incredible. Food is amazing, prices are fair.

Nice place to visit, sincere and responsive servers, tasty and fresh food. I worked in this place for several months and I know this place a lot not only as a place to eat but also as a team and management. I am grateful to this place for the experience and for a delicious dinner. I do not wish anyone to work in this place with such a rotten management, but my colleagues there are very nice. (on a picture is fresh salmon bagel roll with salmon on top.)

Jimmy's is the best for Sushi in the area. Jimmy is great, food is great, Staff is attentive and friendly, and prices are very good!

I expected the sushi to be of the quality I found while living in Japan. The spicy tuna roll was too pasty and mushy and wrong color. I was able to eat only 2 out of 8 pieces, and those were hard to swallow. The yellowtail was too fatty. The only thing that was ok was the shrimp sushi and the Kirin Ichiban beer. Then when I didn’t eat even half of the food I ordered and I told them I didn’t want to take a box because I didn’t like it, they didn’t care. They come by and say everything ok? And don’t let you answer. I had heard they are from Japan but that’s not the sort of treatment you’d ever get in Japan. So if you’re looking for a taste from Japan, this isn’t the place. It just made me miss Japan all the more.

Jimmy's is our favorite place to celebrate special occasions. I think our 13 year old was there 3 times on his birthday week! Sushi is always fresh and flavorful. Service is great. Jimmy makes us feel like family. Highly recommend!

We didn't get to actually stay and sit down and eat because our daughter was throwing a tantrum. But the time that we were in there it was really nice it really sweet. We got our food to go and had no problem switching from dining in to take out. The food was great. There's this one roll, I don't know what it's called because my husband was the one that ordered for us, but it's a hollowed out cucumber moons with I think crab inside it. It was my favorite and so refreshing.

I was incredibly disappointed with my experience at Jimmy’s sushi yesterday. All the raving reviews convinced me I may stumble upon a hidden gem but that was not the case. I’m not the type of person to leave poor reviews but this was a special case. We ordered the spicy tuna roll, california roll, volcano roll, davids roll, and buccaneers roll. The specialty rolls were ranked #1 on the staffs list and #2 and #3 on the fan favorites. My girlfriend and I being avid sushi eaters, were ecstatic to give it a try. We were disappointed when every roll came out like mush. I’ve eaten sushi at a lot of places in and outside of Florida and never have experienced such poor quality, flavor, and texture. It felt like the quality of cheap buffet food for a premium price. Now, I would have probably given it 2-3 stars and left it at that, probably never even wrote a review but it was the volcano roll that pushed us over the edge. It came out with a large puddle of oil on the bottom of it (picture attached) . When I picked up a piece of sushi it was dripping, soggy, and covered in grease. There is no way that sushi of any sort should be served like that. I couldn’t believe I had to leave a roll unfinished.

Small little place but if filled up for obvious reasons on a Tuesday night. Crazy fast service. The waitress was sweet and knowledgeable. The rolls were delicious 😋

I’ve been coming here for 3 years. EVERY SINGLE TIME it remains AMAZING! I’ve never had one bad experience. It doesn’t matter if you eat in or get take out the food will taste great. The price and the amount of sushi you get are incredible as well. I’ll normally get the Kevin role and spicy octopus and that fills me up. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the place is very clean. Will keep on coming for more!

Wow!! Best sushi and phenomenal service in st. pete! It was our first time checking out a new sushi spot and this is a keeper for us! We ordered about 8 dishes I would say? We lost count but everything was fresh and delicious! Can't wait to be back!

Loved this place! Happened to find it near an Airbnb we'd stayed in nearby. The sushi is A-1!! Our server was the best!! Handled our group of ladies well with much respect!

Best sushi bar! Great taste and really friendly staff. Know this place for more than 10 years and its still my No.1 sushi bar. Im not local (from Europe), but every time I visit Florida I make sure I get here. ❤️

Where to start? I drive past this place everyday and it took me far to long to come here. My family and I really enjoyed this place, customer service is so on point here. Was greeted right away when we came in, was seated quickly the place was busy! I ordered 2 rolls, my husband ordered 2 rolls, my son got 2 rolls, and my youngest got chicken tempura. We all loved everything, will definitely be back!

Nice job replying when the review didnt even have a description. You forgot 2 of our orders, argued about the sake sizing and shorted us on our drinks. Your sushi was poorly rolled and you don't even sell real crab in your food despite being less than 3 miles from the coast. Poor advertising and even worse food, cross contamination issues.

Great ambience and wonderful service. Drinks and soup were great as well as the sushi. You can see the sushi being made and the selection is also very good.

We had a miscommunication with our server and ended up accidentally ordering an additional, expensive roll we did not mean to order. Instead of working with us and appreciating the miscommunication on both ends due to a language barrier, she blamed us entirely (it was a mutual miscommunication) and had no interest in hearing our interpretation of events so we ended up having to pay for the $20 roll we did not want. The roll we wanted was called the Erine Roll, and there is also a Ryan roll. When we ordered “Erine,” the sever said “you want a Ryan roll?” To which we said yes because we couldn’t hear the difference. We also pointed at the correct one on the menu while ordering. She did not care and blamed us for the mishap. Also, my friend is gluten free and they had no idea what was gluten free or not. Ordering was a pain. The server actually came out at one point to ask us if their spicy mayo was gluten free. We said we did not know, it is their product and we cannot know if it’s gluten free. Crazy that they would ask us as patrons if their food is gluten free. Do not come here if you have any food allergies or sensitivities. Overall, the food was decent and came out quickly. Service aside, this was a good experience. The bad service knocked them down for us significantly.

Jimmy’s Sushi Bar has the best sushi ever! We have been coming here for years and I spend every one of my birthdays here because it’s so good! You have to try it out!

AMAZING food! This place was right by our Air BNB and I’m surprised it wasn’t on their recommendations list (I’ll be sure to encourage them to update that!) Great chicken fried rice, and we had like 3 different rolls all of which were exception! Can never go wrong with crab ragoons and theirs were awesome! Thanks Jimmy, def coming back when I’m in the area again!

I have been coming here for the last year and a half. Noticed a post where owners is always there and cares for his food and quality. I drive about 45 minutes to eat here regularly and will not stop any time in near future. Food is amazing and servers are always a delight not matter who takes care of me. FOOD IS AMAZING. I only order the specialty rolls and the tuna sashimi. Show up weekly now… extremely consistent they even know my order. Definitely a must go to for sushi.

Buccaneer roll is my favorite. All of their deep fried rolls are so amazingg. Everything tastes fresh and good. People are nice too. My seminole sushi spot for sure!

Food was great but and the portions were huge.

This is a loaded review as I ordered sushi for takeout and did not dine-in. The hot rolls i ordered were soggy and cold by the time I got home ~15mins. This is for sure partially my fault for ordering sushi for takeout....i don't recommend doing that, especially with cooked rolls. Everything else was good, I liked the tuna app and would try it again. I could see the coconut shrimp being amazing if I would have eating them fresh instead of having take out. Will give another shot and update review accordingly. For 4 rolls and the tuna app it was $65.00

Awesome rolls. We have never tried anything else, but the rolls are just amazing. "Lady in red" is quite unique and I recommend it.

I ate here for the first time. Loved the atmosphere and the sushi selections. I didn't enjoy the Uni so much - very bitter but that may have just been my pallet. Otherwise the rolls and soju were quite enjoyable!

Myself and my family have been eating at Jimmys semi-regularly for a decade now. Super consistent, things haven’t gone up or down in quality, and everything always tastes great.

Wonderful little sushi place not too far from the beaches. Had the Miso soup, a Florida Roll, an Eel Lovers Roll, and a Spicy Tuna Hand Roll. Best sushi I've had in a long time! 10/10 will absolutely be back again!

AH-MAZING! Seriously so so good. We had it three times in one week, after going the first time! The Triple Threat is THE BEST. The Bucs roll has to be my second favorite. Everyone was very very nice and patient with us. The menu is large and we brought our 9 month old. I totally recommend the sushi here, you won't regret it!

Not sure where all of these really high reviews are coming from, as my experience was a bit different. I gave them three stars because the atmosphere was pretty nice but the food quality was not so wonderful. I'm not the biggest sushi connoisseur in the world, but I like good sushi, and this place wasn't super cheap. It was pretty normally priced, and I've had far better sushi at the same prices many other places. The eel nigiri pieces were so tiny, and the salmon that was used on the top of one of my rolls was cut so thin almost felt like I could read through it ! t There was supposed to be tuna inside the roll, but the pieces were so tiny, completely disproportionate to all the filler that was in the roll. I just expected more, especially when I heard the lady at the table next to me telling her friends how she discovered this place and how amazing it was. Maybe everyone isn't aware of what amazing sushi is actually like. I'm not trying to be mean (remember I gave them 3 stars rather than 2 overall), I'm just hoping this can help them improve their food quality and get them to actually utilize more protein for the price we pay.

Service is super fast, friendly and attentive. Dishes are elegantly prepared, lovely to behold and taste very fresh and delicious. Jimmy himself is hard at work behind the sushi bar and is always a gracious host rarely seen without a smile on his face. He delivers extremely well on the local neighborhood sushi joint ambience that is also exceptionally authentic.

Hands down my favorite in FL! My husband and I both went over the receipt 3 times—we couldn’t believe how cheap it was. Highly recommend

Simply is no better or fresher fish than Jimmy's.🏆We have had them all but Jimmy's is superior. The staff is also very friendly and Jimmy himself makes most of the sushi. Really love the soy paper that is available. Take it from this charter captain and commercial fisherman 👍👍 This is where me and my wife and son go. That says a lot. And be sure to try the triple threat TNT.... See the picture. And the NY roll.. Amazing.

Best sushi in Pinellas County! I've been going to Jimmy's for five years and never once had a sub par experience. The place is super busy so sometimes you have to wait a bit for your server, but trust me, it is worth the wait. Jimmy is the one working the sushi bar and he welcomes and remembers everybody. The quality of the fish is amazing, the rice is cooked to perfection, and the presentation is gorgeous. If you're looking for world class sushi, Jimmy's is your place.

It’s a 4.5 star. It’s one of the better sushi place around. Our first time here and met the expectations. We saw other sushi roll orders and were huge, can’t understand why ours was just normal size (smaller size). And there was a price discrepancy on an order even after we spoke to our server before placing that order. All can be overlooked.

Amazing sushi and amazing service! This may be the place with the most vast sushi and gourmet sushi rolls too that we’ve ever seen anywhere is the US. We found this gem on vacation here and we will be back next time we are here. Fantastic!!!

Food was served quick, fresh and hot. We had a new Server who didn't understand what we were telling her about food allergies. She quickly got management so she understood.

Food was just ok. We were very excited about this place because of the reviews. The escolar tasted fresher than the salmon? Nothing really tasted fresh. The rolls were all falling a part at the bottom. Points for having an expansive menu with unique offerings. Waitress was sweet but got many things wrong repeatedly and wasn’t very hospitable.

Very good à la cart sushi a bit pricey for me considering the amount that I eat wish there was a good all u can eat in the area I will definitely go back. The sashimi was extremely fresh and everything tasted great.

Incredible food, my goodness the Shrimp Scampi was the best ever. And the amount you get, I had enough for two meals and I’m 6’-5” and 260 lbs. Great atmosphere on the inland water way. Definitely a place you should visit if in the Treasure Island area, even if you are within a 15 mile radius. Highly recommend. Oh yeah, great key lime pie as well!!

We have been to Jimmy's several times in the past and after a bad experience there we decided to give them another chance. Thankfully dinner rose back up to our expectations.

If I could eat this every day I would. We found the nigiri/sashimi to be the best on our first visit. There is still a lot to try though and we will be back!

The sushi was amazing. The only negative was that they served the food too quickly, which I know sounds like a positive, but we ended up with cold appetizers and we had no room for our food on the table. I wished we had a little gap between the appetizers and the main courses.

The sushi was fresh, delicious, and pretty 😍 The selection was incredible; so many options of specialty rolls! The service was outstanding. The decor could use some styling, but who really cares? We were there to eat and it was excellent!

This place has it all, friendly owner and staff, delicious food and decent prices. Been here many times, the food and service qualities are consistently good. First time do the takeout, the packing is good, but waited time is much longer than expected.

Wow The other reviewers were not wrong. We arrived at appx 6:00 pm and while the restaurant was busy (large party in the back room) we promptly found seating and were greeted by our server in a very timely manner. My wife had 2 rolls and I had the Eel entrée. Both items were very good and served quickly to the point that we were finished and leaving by 7:00 PM. The only issue was the limited parking We will definitely be back

Jimmy’s is always my go-to sushi spot. The owner and head sushi chef, Jimmy, is so kinda and cheerful and he really cares about the quality of his food. The fish is always fresh and the staff is so helpful in taking custom requests and making sure you get exactly what you want.

This place used to be the best in the area, now it’s greasy and old, seems like they prep the fried shrimp days ahead, even the roe seems off. It’s sad because this used to be a great place.

I’ve been a customer taking family, friends and clients for more than 12 years and never had anyone complain. Either the bar or the main dinning your in for a treat. Portions are huge and the wait staff always delivers.

We me start by saying we are definitely sushi snobs. This by far is the best sushi restaurant we've been to and continue to visit. The fish is FRESH, and Jimmy (the onwner) is the one pumping out all the dishes and he truly takes pride in what he does.
