The place is not dead anymore and there is no number to call and no website.

This is one of the places in Google Maps were the score didn't reflect the reality. It's basically an overpriced fast food restaurant. Mediocre crab dish (crab was fresh, though), mediocre pizza with a few hints of seafood. The waitress was kind but made us feel she hoped we didn't come.

Had a great experience last night. Highly recommend the meat lover pizza. My bud light was nice and cold. Service was amazing. My food came out fast and hot. We will be back very soon.

I have been getting my hair done for 2 years right next door and finally made it over here to eat. First pizza place I can remember with actual chunks of cut ham instead of the little cubes - lots of toppings and reasonably priced! Very good pizza and wonderful staff!! Bethany is so great and really makes you feel like you are welcome not like it’s her job. A rare quality anymore!!

Positive experience but with previous reviews of many roaches will not be returning to this and other restaurants. Will eat at home. Question? Have restaurants ever heard of stickers to catch roaches? Good luck.

Good music, amazing staff, INCREDIBLE food. Had the shrimp and crab pizza and beignets... I'm sad that I couldn't finish all the beignets. It was all SO good!! I'm coming back for that banana pudding, trust me. My bestie loved the shrimp pasta he had too, as you can see in the photo 😂

I tried to open the website to see the menu and got a security warning. Same for the menu website. Only the seafood menu is posted here in the photos. I always check the menus first to ensure what is there is what I want and to ensue I bring enough money. When places don't show a current menu, I don't go. i also hate the "Online Ordering " menus as I am not online ordering, I'm reviewing before I come in and sit down. Post photos of the current menu and put them on your website after you fix the security issue.

We have not tasted a pizza like that in years! Not only was the pizza delicious , our service was excellent! We can not wait to try the rest of the menu!

On our way back from a flag football tournament, googled a great place to eat and found this place with great reviews. We decided to stop on our way thru to see if the review score was real… I can happily report it may actually be underreported! The food was fantastic. You could tell each dish was prepared from scratch and was made by someone who loves what they do. If you live in Ocala, this place should be on your list of places to eat. If your are just passing thru, it is worth the pit stop. Thanks for a great meal!

Traveled to Ocala briefly to visit family & we searched for a place to grab takeout for dinner. Everything we ordered was delicious. My son enjoyed his Philly Cheesesteak so much that he asked if there was a J Rocks back home. My cousin devoured her shrimp platter. I ordered wings; the sweet & spicy chili was flavorful with a kick. Hands down the best part was my husband's La Crawdad pizza. We were so hungry that my phone didn't eat first & unfortunately no pictures were taken. Take my word for it everything was fantastic! We had no leftovers. Next time we're in Ocala, we'll be back!

Best crawfish I've had in Ocala. Service was great, pizza was very good, shrimp Alfredo was awsome and the shrimp po boy was on point. Buffalo wings were very good. We will be back next week for one of the boils.

I will give my honest review. I ordered something on the menu that I was not a fan of. I let our waitress know and she corrected the issue. If I could give the service a million stars I would. The place was packed (in and outdoors). They seemed to be short staffed and weren't expecting such a huge turn out, but the servers were all polite, efficient, attentive, and helpful. My anxiety would've gone through the roof if I was expected to handle that load, but they did with grace and dignity. I strongly suggest the shrimp and fish platter. The pizza was really good as well (we got the pizza lover one in large and shared amongst 5 people). The owner popped in and shared with everyone his mission and purpose behind his business and it's beautiful enough for me to continue to support this small business. 5/5 stars!

Food was excellent, service was great, prices were good. We had Crab legs, boudin balls, shrimp, crawfish. Banana pudding for dessert best I've had! Definitely be back again!

We have been coming to J Rocks for several months now and hands down it is our favorite restaurant. We have yet to have a bad experience with food or service. The food is so delicious and flavored amazingly. The service is always the best! Thanks JRocks for becoming our family place!

I have been hearing about this little pizzeria place since high school and never had the opportunity or the location to thank God for Google anyway I've been missing out and I just thought I'd stop to tell you how upset I am by missing the best pizza and all of Ocala I'm pretty sure but don't take my word for it go in there and give it a shot yourself absolutely delicious wonderful wait staff

Great little hidden gem. My go to for a budget friendly lunch. 7.00 personal pizza 1 topping and a drink you can't go wrong. The food is great. I also like that this is a family run business. Give it a try and you'll be back.

My spouse and I have been here multiple times! Every time has been absolutely delicious and the customer service was amazing every time as well. They have such a nice selection of Louisiana favorites and comfort food, and I haven’t had one thing yet that didn’t taste amazing.

The food was great my wife went for lunch the service was very good .(I was able to drink my own drink) usually the wife runs empty and mine gets stolen til hers is filled but the staff was there checking on us often and was very friendly. Definitely will come back.there was a little loud of music and some loud guest in the corner . After they left we could hold a conversation over our meal and the music was turned down we didn't ask them they just did it . A d we are not Karen's lol. They were paying guest just like us we came for pizza still didn't try it because we found egg rolls and catfish shrimp and grits loo but it was delicious

When I pulled up to this place, I thought about changing dinner plans. I'm glad I didn't. Food tasted great, portions were large, and prices were reasonable. My kind of place.

My wife and I popped into J Rocks on our way through Ocala yesterday for an early lunch after reading some good reviews here. That turned out to be a great decision! The restaurant is clean and friendly. The music was R&B. Perfect. The staff was friendly and attentive. We ordered the meat pizza. Perfect crust with a hint of garlic, excellent sauce and lots of toppings, including cheese! It arrived quickly and hot out of the oven… Absolutely delicious. Bethany spent some time speaking with us and was just an excellent host. We are hoping to drop by again. On our way north later in the spring. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend J Rocks pizzeria.

My husband and I first time at J Rocks was last night for the Valentine Day event. Very welcoming atmosphere and very attentive and friendly staff. The service was top notch!!! I was so amazed on how everything was ran last night. The DJ and musicians they had there last night was AMAZING!!!!! They played and sing ALL great music. My husband and I have always talked about being somewhere for older adults and having a great time locally and we did. We traveled from Wildwood which isn't far but considering all the places we could have gone we chose to come here. I am so HAPPY we did. Now the food...😋 it was so DELICIOUS. The temp on the food was perfect our dessert the banana pudding was very good. Also to see the owners interact like we are all just one big happy family touched my heart the most. I did go live on FB and I told my mother because she love new places and she loves jazz and R&B music. I think my husband and I will get a group of our family and friends to visit J Rocks. Great pizza. Haven't had such good pizza. Atmosphere was enjoyable. Food was hot. The owner I had the pleasure of meeting. Nice guy.

The people are really nice, but when you go in, you kind of feel like you mistakenly went in after closing. The first thing you see is a steam counter where you can't place an order. The place where you order is pretty far inside. There are some things that need to be repaired. The pizza is clearly made with very good ingredients. I had a single-topping pie. A little light on the topping. I would make a point of seeing to it pizzas are browned well on the bottom. Mine was unusually light. The R&B music is too loud. Ocala is full of old people who already have a hard time hearing each other. The garlic rolls could use work. The best rolls have tons of fresh garlic. These were made from flat strips of dough, so not really like rolls. I would make them from thicker strips and let the blow up. Lots of potential here. If they focus on the fundamentals, this place should end up packed. I would go back for the pizza alone, but I would have them cook it longer.

Had a great time tonight. This place has good food & trivia nights with prizes. We won a $15 gift card tonight.

Daughter wanted pizza. We stopped and ordered kids pepperoni pizza which came with a kids juice I was a decent size and only $7 and change! My husband and I had a bite and It was very delicious. Going to start coming here more often.

We had the fish, shrimp and grits. Wings with the sweet chili sauce and for dessert we had the beignets. Everything was great. Yes we will be coming back

2023-12-22: I had the "Pizza Lover" pizza which is their name for a meat lovers pizza. I also ordered garlic knots. The food was very good.

I took a Date here and it was our first time and the food was Excellent! service was very good as well and the prices were good nothing negative to say at all great Restaurant.

Fries were soggy , staff had hardcore adult theme Rap playing non-stop. Owner should definitely do a drop by without warning. Sad

Attended Hammett L. Bowen, Jr. Elementary School's Spirit Night and all I can say is delicious. J Rock's pizzeria is the place to be. They host all types of fun events and support the community. Definitely stop by and experience their amazing Shrimp and Grits or order a large Pizza Lover Pizza to share with your family. Very reasonable priced and the food just tastes better 😋

went here with the expectation of a decent experience but left really unsatisfied and like i just took $63 and threw it in the trash. I looked at the reviews prior to eating and saw nothing but green flags. We walked in and immediately the smell of rotting food and fish hits you in the face. We wanted to still give it the benefit of the doubt. I was doubtful because of the smell so I opted into a philly cheesesteak & fries. I am very much sure the smell in their restaurant has something to do with the temperature of their refrigerator. The cheese or meat on my philly cheesesteak tasted gamey & musky. I am a chef, I know what good provolone cheese and bad provolone cheese taste like as well as meat. Something is up in that kitchen. I posted the photo in attachments. My boyfriend got a caesar salad (stale croutons) & a catfish - shrimp n grits combo. (Forgot to take the pic of his). We both tried it and it was very small portions for the price we paid & under-seasoned overall. Not even salt or pepper at the tables to help. Our key lime pie slice ($6.99) was teeny tiny and tasted sour. So again, i’m gonna assume there is something wrong with their cooling system or they are serving bad food. I am a local business owner myself so I love to support other local businesses when I can - But i have to say, this was really one of the first really bad experiences i have had in Ocala and it had to do with the service as well but i will leave that out of this. I hope the owners can address these concerns and correct them or i fear the future may not be the best. Its already such a tough location to survive in.

My family goes on Wednesday nights for Trivia night and it's a lot of fun. Between the 3 of us we have tried multiple items in the menu and they have all been great. The service is amazing! Very friendly and attentive. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars

So glad I stopped here on my night here in town. Hella friendly staff, food is great, and owner I’m assuming, ended up playing some good tunes on some dj equipment. Rest of the menu looks good so stop by!

We had the most amazing experience at Jrocks tonight. We are travelling from Nova Scotia to North Port Florida and read great reviews about Jrocks. We had amazing food but the best part was our waitress, KAYLA. She is the best server we have ever had. Even if the food had only been mediocre I would go back just because of her. Great food, amazing service. Highly recommend

We came with friends who said they've been there once before and how everything was spot on and good.... That must have been then because the treatment we received was entirely the opposite ... It took a while for our server to come and greet us. The restaurant wasn't what we thought "busy" but we over looked it. When it came time to order we ran the gauntlet of the menu... pizza, wings, sandwiches, salads.... We were hoping for a great meal but that's not how things turned out... The chicken wings were sent back undercooked... the pizza crust was burnt while the toppings were cool.. Two plates came out later than the rest so we all had to sit there and wait while our food got cooler....

I love the food here, never ordered something I didn't like! I visited over the weekend and was one of only maybe 5 people sitting down eating. It took so long for me to get an order of 6 wings and fries. I got my wings and was told the fries were coming and they never brought them. I had to go ask about them and by then I had to box them up and leave. I noticed a few employees standing around in the back talking and laughing so I don't understand why an order of fries would take over 30mins to get. And as awesome as it is to hear the jams on the speaker, it's waaaay too loud. Also, menus need to be updated with correct pricing. People were very friendly regardless!

The food was great and our Server Tyra customer service was great. She made sure she checked up on us and accommodated us with anything we asked for. When I come back I hope to have her as our server again. The place has a great atmosphere.

I’ve had thousands of calzones from all over the world but the one I ordered here is one of my favorites! Pepperoni, mushroom, extra sauce. Thin flaky dough that was so buttery and savory I felt like I was getting to skip dinner and go straight to dessert! The ratio of filling to crust was perfect for my liking, focusing on a large amount of ingredients in each bite and on every square inch, even at the corners of the crust that usually don’t get as much love and attention! Other pizzerias have me ordering an extra side of sauce, but J Rocks Pizzeria left me completely satisfied with huge portions of perfection, leaving not a single bite of dry or over baked edges to be found! Tyra provided amazing service and has given me a new favorite spot in Ocala. I’ll be stopping by every time I’m in town.

Where do I start? This place is LEGIT!!! I ended up here randomly after searching online for food. I love to supported small businesses. The food and staff were on point. I was greeted with a big smile upon entering from Tyra. She also recommended some menu items with the wings being my favorite. Those sweet and spicy chili wings are a 10/10!!! I definitely plan to come back in a few days .

Saw JRocks on FB, decided to give it a try. Friendly service, good atmosphere, ordered Mozz sticks, Chicken strips, and Catfish. Catfish was really good, Chicken strips were ok was a little dry . Will be coming back for another visit soon to try their pizza .

For a walk-up to order place was good food. 👍🏼 Be aware the swamp sauce is no joke! I like flavor but this was almost too much. Very salty. But still good! Crab legs were perfectly cooked good sized.. The garlic knots in the flavored butter are to die for.. 😋 the pizza was good but coulda been a bit more done..Sausage was definitely cajun style lol but good. The staff there are very nice! They also have wine and beer so thats a plus!
