It’s the 4th of July, nothing to do until dinner, so my friend and I decided to explore a bit. We came across this little French bakery not far from our home, in a small strip center. What a find!!! We were greeted by the Owner/baker, Chef Yves Francois. A classically trained French baker, he has worked in some of the finest French restaurants in Montreal and NYC. The only reason that he ended up in Delray is that his Mom moved to FL from NYC, became ill and Chef Yves moved here to take care of her. He then opened his bakery. I’m so glad he did!!! We got Roule with smoked salmon, tomato and pesto…to die for. We also got his award-winning chocolate croissant, pistachio almond tart and a vanilla mousse tart. This bakery was so, so, so much more than we expected. Chef Yves also invited us to call before any special occasion or holiday and he will personalize a cake of any size for any size party. If you’re interested in trying a taste of the finest French pastry in South Florida, you have to meet Chef Yves! Bon Appetit!

A hidden jewel on Congress Ave in Delray/Boynton, this Chef is a master, pastries and breads just as if you were in France. Desserts look like artwork.

The bakery items are so perfect I felt like I was in Paris. Flaky, smooth, flavorful, exquisite… I simply loved everything I bought! Wonderful pleasant service too! This is my go-to place for French sweets now in Delray Beach!

Just popped in to get a look but I'm looking forward to getting something here! The food looks amazing, very clean, smells great.

Great spot right off Congress. Very good croissants and other baked goods. The owner is extremely nice and has a vast experience in French style baking.

Baguette is always fresh and delicious. Tried the key lime tart, very tasty 😋 Wonderful service from the proprietor and his daughter.

Since relocating to Florida two weeks ago, we sparked off today to find “our place” for Sunday afternoon coffee and pastry. So happy we landed at this bakery! When you walk in, it smells like fresh baked bread. Only opened 11 months, owner and executive pastry chef Yves L’atelier creates and bakes everything himself. Harry had the Napoleon and I had the chocolate eclair and pistachio macaron. Then Napoleon was flaky and layered perfectly. The chocolate eclair featured perfectly baked pastry, coated in delicious, rich chocolate. But I have to say, the macaron stole the show! Crispy on the outside tender on the inside with delicious filling. I ended up ordering a dozen for my happy hour event tomorrow evening. Right now indoor seating is limited to four seats at the counter. Chef has plans to redesign his space and make more tables inside. Such an amazing entrepreneur! We found our place 😀 the only criticism I would have is that the coffee was lacking. He is aware of that and has plans to set up a different type of coffee station and also remodel the space to be more accommodating. I highly recommend him needless to say and to support this local entrepreneur. French trained and executive pastry chef at three different New York restaurants, as well as three Florida restaurants, he is the real . Get there at 9:30am if you want the fresh baked, baguettes, sourdough bread and croissants. It sells out. Because it’s just that good.

We had a blast! Very happy to have found this bakery for a snack! Too bad it’s far from home! Everything we tasted was very good and the prices were fair! The owners were adorable, really very nice, we will come back!

Absolutely lovely bakery! The chef is so talented and such a gentleman. You can taste the love and pride that goes into making each item. This is our second time back. We go to-go sandwiches (turkey and cheese, and garlic Brie) - both were delicious, so light and flavorful. The baguettes are delightful. The banana bread is my favorite I have ever had and I’m so looking forward to it for breakfast tomorrow. We are so grateful to have this wonderful bakery close by!

Chef Yves makes everything in house with the BEST ingredients. It's pretty amazing to have a true French baker right here. His baguettes are delicious, croissants and pain au chocolat couldn't be yummier..makes me feel like I picked them up from a boulangerie in France. All his pastries are made fresh in house, they're exquisite. Merci Chef!!

Pastry was crispy but bland. The croissant had no butter flavor. The strawberry raspberry mixture had no flavor. Very expensive for what you got.

Amazing croissant’s and very friendly with great service.

We bought a pistachio apricot tart, almond croissants and pistachio croissants. A delight!!! Everything was very tasty, not too sweet, just the way we like it. If you are in the area I recommend you make a stop. Very small place but worth the detour for the taste buds! The owners are really friendly and the welcome is excellent!

$14.00 for 6, 2 inche cookies...way to expensive..I don't care how expensive butter and sugar are...that's crazy. Sorry to say they weren't even that outstanding.

Went in this morning, quickly and for the first time, to get some croissants... What a pleasant surprise. Met Yves, a nice gentleman, the place is spotless and the croissants were awesome. I'll be coming back again with the family to try some of the delicious looking pastries and bread he had in there.

The cupboards were bare when I went the morning of the day before Thanksgiving. I'm not sure what they sell - maybe just individual pastries? There were no pies or cakes in the cases.

My recent visit to L'atelier Des Pains was a delightful experience. The aroma of freshly baked goods welcomed me, and the pastries were simply delicious. The staff was friendly, offering great recommendations. It's a cozy spot with top-notch treats - highly recommended!

Chef Yves Francois is absolutely wonderful! My daughters and I will be coming back for sure! Fantastic service and the pastries where phenomenal. We had the Chocolate Croissant, Napoleon & Raspberry Tart....WOW

Best baguettes in South Florida and their pastries are insanely good! We recently went to their pie tasting event and ordered an apple and pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving. The pecan and pear pies were excellent as well.

New French bakery in the area. The head pastey chef has a lit of experience baking in the area. The croissant was flaky and delicious. As mentioned by others, the prices were high, but I have a feeling a lot of time and love goes into each item made. Like the other shops in the plaza, it's very small inside, but there is plenty of seating outside.

I was looking for a real French bakery for a long time, until I found l’atelier des pains, I ordered a birthday cake and I tried the croissant omg!!!! I still can’t get over the taste of real chocolate and most of all the ingredients are real and super high quality I found my favorite bakery ever and whenever I crave some sweets I’ll definitely go there The owner and his daughter are the best The bakery is so clean and neat Hats off!!!!!

Cute little French bakery. We tried the almond croissant and banana bread. Both were decent but a bit pricey in my opinion. A slice of okay banana bread was $5.

There is a great variety of products which are of excellent quality. The pastries looked incredible. I have tried the cranberry raisin danish and the chocolate éclair which tasted amazing. 🥖Nice bakery, and wonderful cashier 👌 I recommend👍

A local French bakery that just opened 2 months ago. If you’re craving for delish French goodies, this is a place for you! The ham & cheese croissant and the coffee eclair taste amazing though pastries are a little pricey. I’ve never tried a coffee eclair before and I was very pleased.

Went for the first time today. The napoleon was amazing as well as the cappuccino. Great service too. I recommend checking this place out

My husband and I just returned home from Paris last week and we were having serious authentic French pastry withdrawals. Everything we’ve tried here is fresh and delicious. This place is an incredible find and we will be regular customers for sure!

This place is great I normally don't like most French pastries they look great but are usually very dry. This guy's stuff taste as good as it looks and it looks amazing.

Being French, I know what real french food tastes like and that's very difficult to find here. This place is LEGIT - everything is baked fresh and home made. The owner was extremely nice and welcoming and even gave a tour of the facility - super clean, will definitely come back and highly recommended!

A few days ago I went to this plaza for ice cream with my 90 year old grandma, 2 babies and husband. The only place to eat is outside, so I sat at the only table with shade. As we were leaving, an employee came out from the L’atelier Des Pains bakery, cursing and speaking aggressively. We had left a spoon on the table. My husband quickly picked it up and apologized, and the employee proceeded to angrily pick up and THROW the table. This behavior is unacceptable, and to make matters worse, I called the establishment to speak to the owner and he was defending his employee’s behavior. He loudly talked over me, told me over and over how wrong it was for me to sit at his table and leave a “mess”, and only apologized when I said I would be leaving a review. I would not be leaving this review if the owner simply apologized up front and told me how violence is not acceptable to him and that the employee would be spoken to. The owner argued that cursing and throwing furniture was “not violent.” I suggested he get signs for his table to avoid further issues and he said “don’t tell me how to run my business.” He also told me reviews are only for food; that is simply not correct. Going out to eat is about the entire experience, including how employees in the establishment treat you. Although I have no idea how the food is at this bakery, I am writing this review to warn others so that they do not have to encounter such behavior.

Delicious croissants brought me right back to Paris!

This place is unique. A real French pastry chef makes wonderful products. I’m diabetic so I need to watch my sweets. The bread sample was literally the most delicious bread I have ever eaten. Crispy and dense and Just amazing. Parking free at door.

A small but amazing French bakery that is already the talk of the neighborhood even though it's less than three weeks old at this point. The pastries are incredible and the croissants are sensual in your mouth. The owner/baker Yves is modestly proud of his little shop and treats you like an old friend.

The chocolate mousse was deliciously rich and decadent with a creamy finish. Perfectly perfect dark chocolate-- didn't have a bitter taste. Can't wait to try the eclairs! and flaky croissants!

I stopped in today and bought an almond crescent. It was the best I have ever eaten! I also bought a baguette. Brought it home for dinner, but ate a big chunk of it already with butter! It was so good! I’ll be back again this week!

Hidden gem! The double chocolate almond croissant was the best! The croissants were so flaky and buttery. The best in the area. The owner / baker was so welcoming too!

The Chef and front counter staff are super friendly, and everything looks and tastes delicious!! The almond croissant, pistachio tart, cookies, and brioche are a 10/10. If you’re in the area, you’ll have to check them out. I’ll definitely be back here soon.

The Almond croissant is amazing! Chocolate croissant and cinnamon rolls melt in my mouth! Had the baguette with some bolognese and red wine at home at it was the perfect match! Wishing Yves and his team great success.

This is no ordinary pastry shop! You can taste the love and passion that went into everything that is made! From scratch and from the heart! The food here is amazing!!!

Gorgeous selection of the finest pastries and tarts. Lovely owner, Yves—and the real deal! He is from France and studied there. Grand opening is this weekend—June 10, 2023 in which the full menu will be offered. Not a sit down cafe- take home with you. There are a few tables outside if you’d like. What a pleasure to have a gem of a pastry shop in our own neighborhood!!! Love to support local business. Please go!!!

A renowned local baker has opened up his own spot and it is delicious! So far I have tried only the baguette and it is by far the best baguette I have had in Florida. My family is so excited to have this baker near by. We will be consistent customers.
