The inner workings of the restaurant are top-notch. Chef Eddie puts out quality food in an efficient manner. The kitchen is clean & the dishwasher is not grumpy, but she enjoys a quick dance break on occasion. Management is on top of even minor issues as they should be before the issue evolves into a problem. I did not give five stars because that is for me to know and you to find out.

They take a long time to serve you and serve you.

06.05.24 Update... Another great dinner with server Kelly! Really great Italian food in Ocala! ENJOY! I was a little taken back by the restaurant name and found out owners were from El Salvador and Italy, then it made sense. The food was fantastic and unexpected for Ocala. Burratta, Veal Saltimboca, and espresso were great! The real surprise was the Zabaglione and that's how you know if it's a real and good Italian restaurant! The real Italians understand what I'm talking about! GM Julian and Waiter James were great! Remember....Zabaglione!!! I'll be back! ENJOY!!! A presto!

The service was excellent. The meals, especially the tomatoe sauce, was one of the worst I have ever eaten. I would not recommend this restaurant nor would I go again.

This Italian Restaurant ranks with some of Little Italy in NYC and Chicago! Their menu is eclectic and terrific! Their cream of mushroom and leek soup is exquisite! I rank it in my top 5 soups I've had from all over the world! The service is impeccable! It's always a great pleasure to dine there!

Good food. Great service. The bread was hot with a dipping sauce - the best. The meals are served as listed on menu. Any changes are an upcharge.

Service was excellent, food was great. this was my first visit, it was a busy Saturday evening and I was there with a large party. Everyone at our table commented on how tasty the food was. I almost gave it 4 stars for atmosphere just because of the noise level but on second thought gave atmosphere 5 stars. what could a person expect on a busy weekend evening in an Italian restaurant?

Absolutely hands down the best 👌 meal, service and atmosphere. My husband and I were here for our Anniversary.. we both agree this was the best Anniversary dinner. James our server cannot say enough great things about him. I took his wine and dinner selection and I'm so grateful I did. He was on point with his service and making sure we were happy. This will be our go to place from now on. James thank you for making our night one to remember.

Our food was PERFECT! Compliments to the chef for real!!! Waitress was awesome! They had the table set up for us BEFORE we were seated! Menus, wine list, and water. MUST TRY the Mango Painkiller but be careful it’s so good you’ll forget there is alcohol in there! Just overall top 3 for sure!

Found this restaurant through google reviews and it didn't disappoint. Went with family while on vacation and we all enjoyed ceasar salad and chicken parm. Bread comes to the table and it was fresh and delicious. Would definitely recommend and putting in review so I can remember to come back next visit.

There are so many positive things that I have to say about this place, the first thing I think is that the hygiene and cleanliness of this place is the best in the entire United States, the bathroom is so clean and smells so delicious, the tables, the cutlery, the glasses polished to perfection, the second and no less important thing is the attention of the staff from the moment you enter this place, its warmth invades you, and the third is the food, each flavor just right, the pastas, the sauces and the cannoli dessert a Delight to the palate, I could spend the day talking about this place, it was perfect, it was worth the 2 hours of travel, thank you Kelly for your excellence in service, we will see you again very soon.

My wife and I have always been on the lookout for Italian restaurants. Previously, our top spot was amazing Italian restaurant in Chicago. After visiting this place, Mesa de Notte now shares the number one spot. Is it delicious? Incredibly! There's nothing more Italian than this place. The atmosphere, service, and cuisine - simply the best. When we're next in Ocala, Florida, this place will be the first we want to revisit. Naturally, I highly recommend it.

First time. New in town. Food not as expected. Special of the day happened to cost twice as much as the regular menu items. And the meat was mostly fat covered in sauce so it's not in plain view.

Excellent service. Amanda was our waitress, & was fantastic. My wife and/or I have eaten in various authentic Italian restaurants. New York, Jersey, Milwaukee, S.F. Chicago, etc. This food equals the best we have eaten. Quality food, very good portions, excellant tast/flavor. Very nice decor inside.

I am simply in awe at the incredible food and service here. I’ve been to Italy numerous times over the course of my life and consider myself an expert in Italian dining. Mesa Notte provides the best Italian food and service I’ve ever had in the United States, and I have eaten all over this country. The fact that I haven’t even heard of this place until yesterday is astounding. I had the Buffalo Burata Antipasta with chicken, Parm, and fettuccine Alfredo. Enjoyed a bottle of wine after having a few samples, and finished it all with desert and espresso. Everything was perfect, nothing left to be desired besides the location/ parking situation. Parking lot sucks but the quality of my meal and service made up for it. Will be returning with family soon.

Date night. Great experience, great food. Good ambiance. Expensive. But worth a date night.

Nice venue food was ok . I had the lasagna pasta but the pasta wasn't cooked properly.

Our server Nick was awesome. He was entertaining, friendly, and professional. Our food was delicious. I had the chicken francese, my date had the chicken parmesan and pasta fagioli. We will Def. Be back. It was a wonderful experience.

Very nice place for Italian food. My only knock on the place was parking. Had to park in bank parking lot next door. Aside from that - good food and good service. Prices weren’t horrible either .

Service and quality of the food/ presentation were excellent. There is no shortage of help at this restaurant. Service was very timely, not looking for your server here. Amanda was our waitress and was on the spot for our meal. Do highly recommend this restaurant.

Have dined here many times. Food always exceptional. Started with calamari, then the osso buco, hubby ordered the short ribs, both were delicious. Espresso Martini was just okay but peanut butter martini was fabulous. Lemon mascarpone cake shared was perfect way to end the meal.

Was there last night outside with a party about 12 of us? The waitress was very nice but she needed more help manager did not help the cake arrived late and the coffee arrived after the cake so it was not a good experience. The waitress was overwhelmed they should get more help when you have parties that large thank you.

Best Italian food in the area bar none...a must visit for sure. Had the Chicken Picatta and it was amazing! The flavors, amazing and cooked to perfection. Service is handss down superb in every regard...not to mention the cozy atmosphere. Reservations are recommended as this place fills up fast, enjoy!

This was the ABSOLUTE BEST ITALIAN we have found yet here in Florida! And we LOVE Italian food, we have tried SO many different places. I had the ravioli with creamy vodka sauce..OMG!! And my husband had the chicken marsala, we wanted to go back Sunday and eat again,but they are closed Sunday, 😢 we will definitely go back just to eat here again!

Here’s the short version: don’t bother. I’ll start by saying our server was very nice and helpful. No issues there. The problem is the food. The prices would suggest that this place is upscale and therefore has good food, and makes an effort. The current 4.7 star rating they enjoy would suggest that too. Well, our beef carpaccio was totally unsalted, but had plenty of pepper. It was topped with arugula that has been drowned in bottled lemon juice, while they also include almost a whole lemon on the plate. Then there’s the fact that the carpaccio slices were frozen solid in the center of the plate. The chicken parm also did not impress. The chicken came out piping hot, and crispy, I’ll give them that. But the pasta was room temp. Basically, it’s mediocre at best and the prices are not appropriate for what you get.

This is one of the best restaurants in Ocala in my opinion. Food is good, interesting, and traditional. Service is good but there isn't much in the way of decor. Some lumpy booths and cramped tables. The bar is tiny.

We ate at Mesa de Notte last night. One of the best meals we’ve had in Ocala - and we have had some good ones but this was outstanding. Flavor’s unique and service impeccable.

Had ravioli. It was amazing. Very nice restaurant. Clean, very nicely decorated. Staff is courteous and pleasant.

Fantastic place to eat, perfect place to take your date. The mood is perfect, and lights are dimmed to set the mood, with italian classical music playing in the background. The menu is extensive but very detailed. The staff are amazing and help guide you to the perfect meal. They serve complementary fresh bread with a seasoned oil, which is very flavorful. The fresh mozzarella is delicate and delicious. The veal is tender and has amazing flavor that is not too strong. The wilted garlic spinach is light and extremely flavorful, very garlicky. The deserts are perfect. The bartender is the bomb and knows her way around drinks. Excellent job with the Carmel espresso martini. Overall, this is a great place to enjoy dinner with loved ones.

We had 3 bottles of wine (6 people), which explains the increased prices. I had angel hair with bolognese sauce (off menu). It was the best meal I have had in a while. Everyone of our party was extremely happy with their meals. The portions are huge! Mushroom soup (which is not on the menu) is the best! The brushetta appetizer is wonderful.

I have to say, I am not a big on Italian food, but our dinner was delicious. I would definitely go back.

This was our 2nd time here. The first one was great that is why we came again. The place is not fancy at all but the costumer service is wonderful. It’s quite and clean. It should be nice if they decide to renovate to more modern style but just for the quality of food it’s ok. We tried: 1) Mahi-mahi with mushrooms risotto was delicious 2) Veal with Parmesan risotto: yummy 3) Chicken parmigiana with capellini with marinara sauce: good 4) Fagioli pasta soup is sooo good, you must try it 5)As an appetizer last time we had a Brie cheese with a layer of “jam fig” wrapped with pastry and and beaked. It’s served with a different fine cut vegetables… it’s was really good!

Hidden Italian gem 💎 the food is excellent, the chef is amazing, which explains all the awards the restaurant has won, you will not be disappointed; let's not forget the drinks, must try a margarita!! The ambiance is romantic, and very relaxed. We recommend dressing up, classy!! The service is outstanding, definitely a place to celebrate a special occasion!!!

Don’t let the outside appearance fool you, the inside atmosphere is classic and inviting. The service was wonderful and the food was excellent! There is a great selection of wines as well. Overall had a great experience here and would come back for a great Italian meal.

I have been recommending this spot for years to family and friends. All have enjoyed their experiences here. I love Italian cooking and their crew nails it. Their staff is friendly and efficient. If I had to pick a favorite restaurant in Ocala this is the one.

Let me just say The maitre d was the best thing ..Chicken marsala is suppose to be brown not red ,,,The linguine pescatore was rubber and no flavor,,Told waitress she said ok lol.and the mahi not good ,,, anyway if your Italian don't go,,,The waitress no personality ,,Paid our bill and left ,,Never go back

Delicious meal yesterday. Had an out of state guest with us. Very prompt and courteous service. Very welcoming when entering the restaurant. My husband loves loves loves the Osso Bucco here and has ordered on past visits. Very few restaurants can get risotto right, but it’s perfect every time here. This is about our 5th or 6th visit to this establishment. We’ve only had one experience a few visits ago with the lasagna which wasn’t heated through. But they made it right quickly, no questions asked. Yesterdays Alfredo was enjoyed and the pasta seems freshly made from scratch which added to the overall flavor of the entree. Guest adored the Cesar salad and commented many times how delicious it was. Very comfortable environment. Blinds need dusting, but that’s an easy fix. Overall, very nice experience and will definitely return. Best Italian in the Ocala/The Villages, Florida area.

The most delicious Italian restaurant I’ve ever eaten and I come from Mass area. We have some good Italian restaurants, but this one definitely was the best! Everything from app to main course was awesome! I didn’t get to try the deserts though. Will be back for sure!!!

This is our favorite restaurant in town. We’ve celebrated our birthdays and engagement here. We’ve drug many family members here. Everything I’ve ever ordered has been excellent. The staff is always attentive and friendly. I recommend this place all the time.

Always impressed by the quality and flavor of food as well as the service. Chicken Parmigiana is always tasty and surprisingly cheap. Atmosphere is quiet and nice. The cannolis are the best I’ve ever had outside of Italy!

Food was absolutely delicious the martinis were terrific the service was outstanding. The only thing that I can say that was negative is the overall atmosphere. It's not quite white tablecloth, it's not casual, it's somewhere in between. The bar is small but it looks inviting. Updating the inside of the restaurant, would make a big difference. I will definitely be back, and I hope to see some environmental changes within the restaurant.

While visiting from South Carolina, family brought us to a hidden treasure in Ocala's Fine Dining World. The menu has excellent choices- to the point it makes it hard to choose; however, their wait staff is on point with their suggestions. It's not a big place, it's not a pizza place... it is: a place you will discover friendly staff and amazing food. From the appetizers to the desserts, you get what you pay for... and they definitely bring it here. The secret for a WoW factor is definitely brought to the table. I looked up words to decribe a wonderful dining experience on Google: all those words happened! Plus they treat everyone like family. Thank You!
