9/1/24 This cute little place has a welcoming atmosphere and polite service. The banchan were delicious, offering a variety of flavors. The Seafood Pancake was a bit lacking in seafood, but it was crispy on the outside. The mushroom tofu stew was flavorful and satisfying. The short rib was exceptionally tender. It's usually a tough cut, but this one was cooked to perfection and nicely seasoned. The japchae was a little too sticky for my preference, but overall, it was a pleasant dining experience.

I can't help but order the same three lunch dishes in rotation here, because they are SOOO perfect. B16. 비빔밥 / Bibimbab B14. 닭불고기덮밥 / Dak Bulgogi Deop Bab (Chicken) B13. 잡채덮밥 / Japchae Deop Bab You can choose your meat for two of these, or even order extra toppings. But the chicken here is quite frankly, unbeatable!

Super friendly service and the food is fantastic!

I've never written a review for a restaurant before, but because this place is so good and I go here so often I felt like it was only right. This is the best Korean food I've had in this part of the country, I feel like I've tried half the menu at this point and every dish is great! I'm so sad because I'm moving away from this area and will not be able to come as often. The woman who works here is very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend the sundubu jjigae and the japchae.

Hidden gem in Wayne. Everyone we take here loves the food. It's our go to spot for Korean. Our friends from NYC and Jersey City all rave that this olon par with anything you've would have there. The tofu soup is amazing and ask for the extra spicy sauce. It's amazing but super spicy.

Very low sodium for korean food lol but it seems adjusted for the Wayne demographic. As a Korean, I would find this place to be too bland, but this was perfect for traveling. Especially for a long drive. The auntie is so kind, we will come back when visiting the area again!

Very good food but on the simpler side. Yet, it's one of the better Korean restaurants in the northern NJ area. Classic NJ location, in a strangest strip mall by a railway track. Very decent kimchi. The proprietor is very sweet but appears to be managing the floor herself so service can be a bit slow. Definitely worth a visit.

Went on a cozy fall night, it was superb. Lovely owner who was super friendly and welcoming. I had a classic hot tofu soup with dumpling and my sister had a regular spice level beef tofu soup. It came with a refreshing side of pickled vegetables to try and white rice. Tofu was soft and flavorful. The only complaint I had was it was sparse on meat and the dumpling. But other than that it was delicious and spectacular. Highly recommend for some authentic Korean cuisine.

Always consistently good and great service! Usually like to get the normal level spicy or regular for a cold day. Today I was craving the chicken and highly recommend the sweet and spicy. And BYOB!

Very good korean restraurant, especially considering the price range. I recommend Tofu soup since it is their specialty, but they have other menus as well, including korean bbq.

Best Kimchi tofu stew I’ve ever had!!! Her dumplings were so delicious, crispy on the outside and incredibly flavorful inside!! Korean pancake is to die for !!

We were really craving Korean food and Koreander in Montclair was packed. We found Mr Tofu House and we’re not disappointed. Food is delicious! I got the hot stone beef bibimbap (I think I spelled it right lol) and my partner got ramen (I forgot which one as there are 2 options). We also got the kimchi pajeon (pancakes) and they were great. Server was also very sweet and attentive 👍🏼

Best Korean restaurant in the region. Been going weekly there for more than a year and food is consistently good. Always served with a smile. Clean, decent, not pricey. Hidden gem. Everything is good, but try the sundubu and the dolsot bibimbap.

Tasty food. They need to expand their lunch menu though.

They have Korean BBQ dishes that isn't self-cooked at the table but done for you in the kitchen so it doesn't get in your hair. We found the dishes well marinated and seasoned. Tasty! Service could be a bit more attentive.

This has been a go to place for us for five years now. Usually we get the ramen noodle soups and dumplings. Everything is always so delicious and the ownership are so welcoming.

Im so thankful that Mr. Tofu House is here. Delicious warm food and even warmer service. Always picks me up when Im down and warms me up when Im cold. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Thank you Mr. Tofu House you make my life a little better <3
