Rarely give all 5s.....Fantastic place to have lunch and the bar outback defines their motto, "Good food in the front, party in the back" Great service, Bella was a great server. Wish I lived a little closer, this would be my spot.

When it comes to seafood for me, I always look for the freshest and local options. Simple and quality options, Mullets definitely delivered. I was able to have the red snapper with some sides and the portions were perfect. Our server was awesome, checking in with us and answered questions about the menu/provided her recommendations. Reasonably priced for delicious food. Always a pleasure supporting the local businesses that care about their quality and service.

First things first, Dirté Sauce. Do it. I'm honestly tempted to ask them for the recipe so I can have some of it on hand at home. I only have food 4/5 stars not because I've been previously disappointed or anything of that sort but because I haven't fully experienced much of their menu yet. So far every time I've been there, I've gotten the fried catfish and it's the only thing I get because it's so hard to find places that do good catfish, it is good traditionally fried as well as their Cajun fried. It's super cool to see an old house turned into a restaurant. When you dine indoors you truly do feel the coziness of eating at a friend or family member's home. The "backyard" dining area though so much to offer and is one of the reasons it's quickly become one of mine and my husbands place to eat. There's a small stage if you're a fan of live music and a television at the bar. The bar which is honestly an impressive size for the amount of space they're working with. It is very well shaded by trees and each table seems to have an umbrella as well, plus a covered patio area. The wait staff, host and even management is extremely friendly and attentive but not overbearingly so.

If you are looking for flavorful, mouth watering seafood, this is the place. The ambience of this house turned restaurant adds to the great atmosphere. Sit outside with a full bar and enjoy the music and meet great people. Make sure you order their wings!!!

I've loved this place since the day it opened. Though I do wish the onion rings would make a comeback. It's just a great place for dinner and a beer.

Best fish tacos (grouper/Florida style) I’ve ever had! Hogfish sandwich was excellent - highly recommend Mullet’s, can’t wait to come back the next time I’m in St. Pete’s!!

Really love this place. These folks have taken an old style St pete house and turned it into a sweet little restaurant down on the southside. The food is great and the portions are generous . the staff is friendly and there’s plenty of room. good happy hour ! love to go here.

Absolutely great. Love that it’s in a house. Currently under construction but didn’t affect a thing for me. Service was great. Food is no frills but perfect. It’s just a good ole fashioned fish hut done extremely well with a nice wine list. Couldn’t be happier. Edit: forgot to add the wings are absolutely great They aren’t just good with the fish!

This is one of those places that when you find it you never want to leave it. The staff is great. The food is great. The atmosphere is somewhere in between a place you'd find on a beach resort and a nice beachside restaurant. If you're in the area, this is one of the must visit locations for lunch or dinner. The grouper sandwich is consistently the best I've ever had.

Just left from having dinner the food was delicious. And Nick is a real tequila connoisseur we really enjoyed ourselves. Thank you very much. Will return soon.

My Husband & I are from the local area and we had the pleasure to meet Brian, the Owner today. What a great guy not afraid to roll up his sleeves & help out his Staff to keep the operations of his restaurant running smoothly! Fish delish that topped our Florida Sunshine City salad which is awesome BTW. Brian also gave us great tips on how the Smoker grill works. Wealth of knowledge on all those details. We would love if Brian would come to Gulfport again & have a presence because we sure could use his excellent food as well as all the great seafood choices. Brian once owned Mid Peninsula Seafood Market & Restaurant in Gulfport and everyone misses his restaurant still today! Kudos to Brian & his Staff at Mullet's Fish Camp. We'll certainly visit soon again!

This was our first time at this location and it is a very rustic and traditional atmosphere, my only regret was that I wish they offered more of a selection of different fish and shellfish since we live on a peninsula surrounded by water. There is seating both inside and outside of the restaurant to include an extensive wine and spirits list with an outdoor bar & lounge area. The service and wait staff was very knowledgeable and friendly!

The food was excellent. We ordered a pound of peel and eat shrimp, Grouper tacos - Joe Dirte style and Grouper Ceasar salad. All very generous portions and cooked perfectly. Wr.also tried the smoked fish spread, which was good, but not great.

We left another restaurant in Terra Verde for horrible service and came here. The wings were FABULOUS and the drinks (although pricey) were awesome. We’ll be back!

Super cool and fun place. The wings here are some of the best wings I have had in a long time. Lots of seating inside and out. Kid and dog friendly. The service here was amazing as well and the staff had some great recommendations. The drinks here are really fun as well. Not a ton of parking so just a heads up. If you like seafood and wings definitely check this place out and grab a cool shirt while you are at it.

Everything was delicious. We had the Smoked Wings with the Merman sauce and Fish tacos with Cod and in Joe Dirtè style. Absolutely recommend and well definitely return.

My family came into town and I needed a low key, delicious place to take them. They loved mullets. We actually went two days in a row, they said it was the best food they had their entire vacation. The wings are to die for, my meat smoking fanatic uncle totally raves about how amazing they are. The grouper tacos were so yummy. The fries and tenders were so good. My mom got the fried cod dinner and really liked it. I’ll definitely be a regular here now.

This place was AWESOME!! It does look like a home on the outside. There was outside seating and also indoor seating we chose to sit outside. The atmosphere was very great also the server was very pleasant and helpful with choosing things on the menu. The fish was definitely FRESH! Food 20/10 Immaculate! Highly recommend

The place is a hidden gem. My husband ordered the grilled chicken sandwich. He said it was the best he ever had. I had the Sunshine Salad with grilled shrimp. AWESOME. TYLER was our server, attentive and nice young man.. BAXTER who handles the grilling is a force. Kudos Baxter

Great vibe but incredibly underwhelming food presentation and delivery. For a $30 blackened grouper to come out under cooked and super wet was very disappointing. Then for the fried grouper to also be undercooked was unacceptable. Again cool place and the burgers that came out looked great but I thought this was a seafood joint. Very dissatisfied and won’t be back👎👎

YES, YES and YES. Visiting from landlocked Atlanta, I was really wanting fresh fish. I searched for fish camp near me, and Mullet's popped up. Reviews were great, so I decided to check it out. Great decision! I tried the smoked dry rub wings with Merman sauce on the side, the Cajun Fried Grouper sandwich with cajun fries, and the peel and eat shrimp in their house made garlic butter lemon sauce, chased down with Pelican punch. EH.VAH.RY.THING. I put in my mouth was delicious!! Fresh, hot, perfectly seasoned, great and friendly service, good laid back vibes...I'll be back. Bet on that!

The wings are amazing, merman sauce with buffalo is a great combo. We may have caught a bad day but we sat well over 20 minutes and not server to be seen, the table next to us got up and hunted one down. Zero apology from managment.

Ate here about a week ago. I had the Grouper Sandwich the Dirte way (Cajun fried). We also had an order of wings. The wings are the star of the show especially the house sauces. The ranch is really good too. Only real con about this place is sitting outside is a bad idea due to flies and the heat if it’s summer. Prices are about mid range, expect to spend $30 minimum not including tip per person. That being said, the food is excellent so they make it worth your while.

Nice place. My grilled Mahi sandwich fish didn't taste fresh. It was replaced with fried grouper and they offered me a free drink which I declined. Merman wings were tasty but weren't thoroughly cooked and were a little cold. Pepsi had little to no fizz.

Disappointed at hospitality and customer service after calling in advance over a severe food allergy we have with shellfish and tree nut and my husband with avocado. Call started out friendly until asked for a manager the tone changed and was informed manager unavailable to take my call. When asked what my call was about I shared I have a severe food allergy call before arriving and was bluntly told it’s an eat at my own risk situation - “we do our best but no guarantees”. The attitude given was what was shocking. Then informed manager is in a meeting and he’s the bar manager. I promptly cancelled my reservation and will take my money elsewhere. One convo showed me customer service provided without even arriving. Update: called again asking for mgr. and spoke to a nice lady who after 5 minute hold connected me the owner. He Double downed on what we were told “not place for us” even after us sharing it’s safe for us to eat from a shared fryer and he even confused tree nut w peanuts all growing the same. I shared it’s different and said he always thought peanuts came from a tree. 😳 Based on this, anyone with food allergy be aware.

Went there specifically for the fish tacos and was told there was no Grouper for Tacos or Nuggets. We pretty much had to order the Grouper Entrée with 2 sides. The rice had NO flavor, and neither did the Slaw. The fish was decent but undersized for the price. The service was sub-par, and the neighborhood was questionable at best. Was disappointed, I wanted it to be great. Still looking for great Fish Tacos in Tampa.

It’s definitely not my style for ambience but being a woman of a particular age, I’ve come to appreciate the finer things in life however the service and food made up for that. Outstanding waitress with spot on recommendations. She gets a high five as does the margarita!! Food, a solid 4 but very good. It’s just not comfortable and too dang hot. I don’t want to profusely sweat while I eat

My favorite fish tacos in all of Tampa Bay. The seasoning is top notch, the fries are perfectly done, and they have homemade ranch. Their wings and fish dip are also not to be missed. Whenever my family visits, we always come here. Super laid back atmosphere.

Just what the Dr. Ordered if you are looking for a keywest vibe that is not in keywest. Very quaint and entertaining. Service was fantastic. Food was great.

On vacation and came across Mullet's. The entire family enjoyed the experience and food. We tried a variety of dishes, and none of them were disappointing. Phenomenal server. She treated us incredibly well. Take the time to check the place out for the seafood/food and atmosphere.

I popped in here to do a little work and lunch. The service was great. The restaurant is adorable. I got there when it opened and it was just the right amount of busy to open my laptop and get work done witbout getting too distracted. They have free wifi. Good beer selection and menu. I ended on the Florida man grouper tacos. It was light and citrusy. Tangy but not bitter. Lighty sweet. It was refreshing and not overly heavy. The side of broccoli was delicious too.

One of the best local restaurants in St Pete. The chicken wings and fish tacos are the stars of the show. Expect key west vibes, low key excellent cocktails for the price, and delicious fish.

Fish tacos grouper are amazing!

Grouper sandwich with extra side of beans - $27! Fish portion was 3-4 oz, and barely covered HALF the bun! Grouper is less than $20 a pound. This is completely unacceptable! Before our economy went to hell, the fish portion covered the bun completely for $16-18. Today - Half the previous portion for 50% MORE $$$. Not doing it!!

First time visit and everything we ordered was great! Dry rub wings with a side of merman sauce is a must get. Delicious cold peel and eat shrimp, Cajun fried grouper sandwich and cold beers. What more could you ask for

Just found out about this place and we loved it. Great vibe, friendly staff, and some of the best grouper tacos I have ever had. Smoked fish spread and wings were great too! Also the mezcal drink was awesome!

Atmosphere is very nice and relaxing. I got the fish spread it was salty and dry. Must have a new cook. But my cousin got the wing (which I've had before) and that taste cannot be duplicated!!! They are the best on the menu hands down!!!

Great atmosphere, amazing food and the staff was incredible. Willow was our server and she was wonderful. She was knowledgeable of the menu items and gave great suggestions. The hostess, Shelby was professional and all smiles. She seated us at the perfect table and made sure we had everything we needed. This will definitely be one of our go to spots from now on!

Great atmosphere and good food. Very busy when we were there but the servers are on the ball. Food is really good.

The service was really good. They nickel and dime you to death. They charge for everything including ranch, Cajun seasoning $1 for a splash of spice is a big up charge. They were skimpy on the French fries too. Happy hour is really bad only for 3 hours and it’s just on a couple of beers not any food items. Bill was $70 for two people. Overall it’s a good place even with those drawbacks and the shrimp is really good.

It was our first time here. We had a reservation 7:45 for party of 4, our plans changed and we showed up around 6pm. We asked for a table for two and Paige the host told us it was about a 10 minute wait. Then we asked if bar was first come first serve. We asked if could check it out but to still have us down on the list. 20 minutes goes by and we asked for an update, Paige said she never put us down and we could sit now. She never put us down to begin with and was extremely rude about the situation. Once finally sat down our server Mikayla took our appetizer order. We never heard from her again until we went to bar on our own to get drinks. Then a gentleman possibly a manager attended to us, dropped off our drinks and checked up on us more than the server. Mikayla was a terrible server. The service was horrible for a first time experience, however the food was great. The wings and fish spread were amazing.

Short 3 day stay in Gulfport FL. Wish I had a neighborhood joint like this! Ordered smoked fish spread starter it was Mahi Mahi, absolutely terrific, and gets a five (5) star review. Wife had Chicken Caesar Salad and thoroughly enjoyed it. I ordered fried grouper, fries and broccoli and also thoroughly enjoyed the dish. Our server Bella is an excellent ambassador for Mullets. She was menu knowledgeable, personable and thorough with a great table presence sense.

Visited for the first time on Saturday with my son. The place is cute, inviting and great energy. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Very well decorated with lighting, decking and Florida lifestyle decorations. We ordered the smoke chicken wings. The Best!!! And the fried mahi mahi bites, got about 20 bite size pieces. This is my new favorite seafood place. Prices were very affordable!!

A slightly disappointing experience. Been looking for the best in terms of wings and caught word that Mullet’s smoked chicken wings were delicious. After tasting them myself, I would personally say they are mediocre. I tried the merman sauce wings, which tasted like it was a mustard-based bbq sauce, and a different set of wings that were tossed in their citrus-herb sauce. The merman sauce was enjoyable, nothing special but still good - reminiscent of a Carolina bbq sauce. However, the citrus herb wings were ultimately bland and needed a little salt to bring the flavors forward. Also ordered a blackened fish with rice and veggies. The veggies turned out to only be broccoli and the rice was advertised as citrusy. Both the fish and rice were lacking in flavor but the sauce on the broccoli actually was really nice. In contrast to the mediocrity of the food, the service was fantastic: we were sat quickly, the server was attentive, nice conversation, and knowledgeable about the menu - shoutout to the server Willow(?) All in all, probably would not recommend this spot - but if I did I think I would only recommend the merman sauce wings.

Driving over from Tampa to meet some friends, I didn't know what to expect of this place in south St. Pete. It wasn't very busy when my party arrived for our reservation. The hostess was pleasant and changed our table for one with more shade. The waitress was very sweet and helped us with our decision-making process. With the "choose your own adventure" idea you choose the fish, the size, the style of cooking, and the sides so it takes a little longer to decide if you've never been there before. But here's why I'm writing this review. I had the best grouper sandwich I ever ate. (Ever) It is just heavenly. The place itself reminds me of Skipper's Smoke House in Tampa. Out of doors, laid back. They also have a front porch if you need some shade. My friends had the grouper but served Bobby Lee style. This style was recommended by the owner, so they tried it and both said it was delicious. I know they also have two bars, but I didn't roam the whole restaurant. By the time we were ready to leave not only was the place packed but there was no parking either. So I suggest you make a reservation, head to south St. Pete and see what they are hiding done there.

This place is a hidden gem! My wife & I heard good things so thought we'd check it out. I was honestly expecting generic, overpriced "beachfront restaurant" type food(like the getaway). This was not the case The food was the bomb. The dry rub smoked wings were one of the best wings I've had. Super flavorful citrus flavors that I couldn't stop crushing. The fish was perfectly cooked & delicious as well. Plenty of great beer/cocktails to choose from. Also the live music on a Sunday was great. It's not inexpensive but it's for sure worth checking out.

Very chill atmosphere, like a house restaurant type of place. The food was amazing, we got the salmon florida man style and the "guy who crashed a boat". The cocktail was nice and strong, the fish was tender and very well seasoned. I highly recommend coming in :)

I was in town this past weekend for me and the wife's 10 year anniversary. We were there three days and ate out everyday in Tampa and Saint Pete's. Mullet's by far was the best food I had the entire time I was there. The fish was fried to perfection and was super flavorful. The peel and eat shrimp were super good 2. When I walked up I thought park style benches and it's in the back, is this gonna be good?? Boy I don't know why I doubted cause this place has phenomenal fried fish and fries. Food also came out super fast. I recommend this place to anyone in the area!

My husband and I dined at wonderful gem of a place. It was recommended by a friend and worth the drive from Tampa. Every part of our experience as excellent! The food was awesome. Emle was our server . . . we couldn't have asked for anyone better. She was kind, helpful . . . a true asset to Mullet's! We also had a nice conversation with Nick (I believe is one of the owners). You can tell both Emle and Nick love their jobs. We will definitely be back . . . places like this are hard to find these days! Thank you, Mullet's!
