Great new sushi place with a large selection of different rolls

This is real whole 💯 percent white meat. The source is perfect and temp too. This is one place you have to go to. The server ( Alin) was great and very helpful fine right meal. Please, bring kids they will love atmosphere.

Our waitress was lovely, kind, and understanding. I would definitely ask for her next time. (I unfortunately didn’t catch her name) the food was better than i expected. I got a California roll, gyozas and a yum yum roll. I also got a white peach soda. I recommend it all but my favorite was the yum yum roll. My husband got steak Habachi and a spicy crab meat roll. The steak Habachi was a large serving! We both ate some and still had extra to take home.

I had a great first experience at Oishi Sushi and definitely will come again for great Japanese cuisine. I was a little saddened with the lack of good quality Asian restaurants in the tarpon springs area since I recently moved here until I found this great place. This is definitely my new favorite local asian food spot! They have a giant menu of dishes and drinks that was almost overwhelming but, our waiter was super friendly and guided us with recommendations since everything looked super good. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for high quality Asian cuisine but expect to pay higher for the quality they provide!

A great sushi restaurant near the sponge docks in Tarpon Springs with private parking. The food was some of the best sushi I have ever had, especially the squid salad!

Pleasantly surprised from the minute I walked in. Super friendly staff, cozy decor, and amazing sushi. The Toro was perfection.

Placed a order to go. My order was to be ready at 5:55 pm. I showed up at 6:10 order wasn't ready, waited until 6:40 only to be told now that my order was given to someone else. Which I don't believe because I was right there by the front door. Then I was told to wait an other 30 minutes for my order to be ready. A lot of empty tables and a lot of people waiting and not happy. Horrible experience from the time of ordering to leaving was a waste of two hours. Starving kids and wife in the car.

Great food, beautiful presentation but was one moment in service that cut off one star. We ordered a boat of different rolls and they give us three more by mistake, they mixed up the tables and said that we can keep those rolls. When we have a check we see those rolls with 35% discount! But we didn’t order them. Of course we asked to give us new check and they removed them from the check, but it was unpleasant. Anyway food is really good and I can recommend them to others.

Sushi is fresh and always delicious with fantastic presentations. We have never had bad service but we also have a favorite waitress we always make sure we get 😁. My husband doesn’t like sushi so he always gets a California roll and hibachi steak or chicken for dinner and it’s on point every time. They have Bento boxes for lunch and there is so much food!! Go hungry if getting a bento box for lunch.

High quality sushi. The salmon lover is a must. Volcano roll is fantastic. A regular customer!

This restaurant is fantastic. My parents, my in-laws, my fiancé and I all adore it. I will drive from Saint Pete just to get the hand rolls here.

Everything we had for lunch was delicious. Sushi and hibachi lunch specials which are reasonable! Sushi presentation is always amazing.

This is hands down the best sushi & hibachi restaurant in the Bay Area. The service is next level, the food is AMAZING, the atmosphere is like you’re in Japan & the food plating is picture & video worthy. They even have a sushi roll named after me 😂. This will be a few time a month place we eat at. And it’s in the sponge docks so there’s things to do & see before or after you eat. Thanks guys & see ya soon 😎

If you want to visit a place that makes you feel like your actually in a Japanese restaurant in Japan, then this is it. Beautifully decorated and the food is amazing, and you're not gonna break the bank here. Definitely recommend

We had an amazing Mother's Day lunch here on Saturday. This is a hidden gem on a side street within walking distance to the sponge docks. Beautiful decor, outstanding service, and amazing food! OMGGG! I can't wait to go back!

Great, Fresh Sushi with a different flare of style. The largest Shrimp Ebi I have ever had. Atmosphere is clean, fresh and pleasing to the eye. Excellent location in the heart of the Spong Docks. Highly recommend and we will be back

Have to leave this review since the owner responded and I can’t reply, the meal was $78 and they were trying to charge me for $94.57 ( which after we got the bill back after my significant other had to use her card) we confirmed the original total $78and some change and not the $94.57 when we look at the bill when we saw the tip options for 20% it was the $94.57 total option. I can confirm everything I bought and can show the charges that were attempted on my card, if you want to get in contact so I can show you please let me know on here when I can contact you at the restaurant. It was around 8:00-8:30 when we cashed out our check.

Was quite disappointed at the service at this restaurant. The server would not accommodate allergies when we asked several times if items can be kept off the sushi roll. We then requested that tuna be substituted for spicy tuna due to the allergy and she responded with an up charge… the roll was already $15.95 without the up charge. One in our party had to get up and go to the sushi station to ask why it was taking so long to get our rolls. Once received, both rolls were served with a fake orchid on the dish. The server never came back to the table to see if we needed anything else after taking our order. Will not go back.

One of the waitresses Tried to charge my card for the wrong amount three separate times when I looked at the charges and the ticket the amount she was charging me for the total +20% tip. I did not agree to.

Best Ramen in the Saint Pete, clear water metro. Most places that have Ramen as a secondary, instead of the staple, usually suck, but not this place. Seriously, gotta get you some of that Tonkastu Pork Broth, and Pork belly. WINS ALL AROUND! Be sure to ask for an extra egg.

Delicious sweet potato roll with cream cheese added to it and no sauce or sesame seeds, there is so much sweet potato on it! Wow! Also very good spicy mayo, thank you :)

This place was amazing. Sushi is soooo good. We tried yum yum roll and monster roll and they were amazing! Everything tastes fresh and delicious and light from a master chef. The service was also great! We felt welcome! It’s clean and well maintained.

Awful sushi. We ordered a Volcano Roll, Crazy Tuna Roll, Energy Roll and other kiddo items. All were soggy and mush. Even the rice is horrendous. We ended up throwing it away, $80 wasted.

This place is absolutely delicious. First of all it’s adorable inside. it was very busy and we sat at the bar. The wait staff was incredibly friendly and kind. We ordered an appetiser of coconut shrimp which was crispy and super hot and fresh and delicious. Then we each ordered two rolls which came to us on these giant dragons. We were not expecting that and the presentation was absolutely amazing. I loved watching everyone else’s plates come out of the sushi bar area because the presentation on each and every plate no matter what was ordered was absolutely impeccable. It was like an absolute work of art. I will definitely be coming back here because of the friendliness the service and the overall atmosphere 10 out of 10!!

Finally found my new sushi spot! You can tell everything is super fresh. We got the salmon poppers for an appetizer and they were delicious. The presentation is absolutely adorable each roll comes out on a cute handmade display with lights and flowers. I got the rainbow Naruto roll which is wrapped in cucumber they were very big and so fresh and I loved the sauce it came with on the side. My husband got the Godzilla roll and the Diablo roll which he loved both. The shrimp and chicken hibachi was amazing the shrimp were huge and veggies were so good with the yum yum and ginger sauce. Omg if you are a mochi lover you must get it for dessert it comes with whip cream and chocolate drizzle on top with sprinkles and a chocolate stick. Inside is very clean and decorated super cute they have a huge menu selection with LOTS of options. This place has been here for two years and I wish I found it sooner!

Little hidden gem for me ^_^ My husband and I actually found Oishi by accident one night when we were looking for a new Hibachi Grill. This place is ALWAYS good. I love their Oishi special and all the different types of Sake (?) They have. Their mango shrimp is so addicting. Service is very fast and I'm surprised this place is not always busy with how good it is. The ramen is also good, it's not overly salty like some places I've been to. Their fried rice is AMAZING. Gosh honestly? Not a single bad dish on their menu. Their prices are good too, but so good that we spend a minimum of $100 everytime we go. My husband and I are truck drivers and we always stop in when we come on hometime. On that note, truckers don't try and go in the semi...she will not fit...sadly xD

Read other reviews and decided to try this establishment. My wife and I are so glad we did! While the outside presence is underwhelming, the interior decor is excellent and the staff are super friendly and efficient. We ordered sushi and hibachi meals which were incredibly prepared and presented! We are excited to bring or family and friends to try our new find!

5 ⭐️'s all around! Found this hidden gem online and had to come check it out. So I took my two best friends here for lunch on a Sunday. I was completely blown away by the beautiful Japanese decor. It was a very clean establishment as well. They have a hugh menu to choose from for food, beverages, and adult drinks. We tried strawberry Nigori, Mango nigori, and Choya plum wine, which were all delicious! For food choices, I had the steamed shumai and fantasy roll. The shumai was perfectly steamed, and the roll was exquisite. They even have the cutest plating and dishes! ✨️ Overall, 5 out of 5! I highly recommend it. Also, it's not far from DT Tarpon. I will be returning!

The environment was pleasant and the presentation was great! The food was ok. I think the appetizers were better than the sushi for sure! Still okay Sushi though.

We have been before and it was good. Tonight we picked up numerous sushi rolls and it was in editable. We had to throw it all out. We called and they pretty much told us no one else complained tonight. Will not be going back.

Absolutely fantastic! I have been to Japanese cuisine from Palm Springs to Denver to Austin to Wyoming and all points in between. You will not be disappointed if you have a pallet for taste and culture of Japanese flavor. Very impressive and pleased! If you want a giant bucket of slop,,,go to a buffet,,if you want proper portions with amazing flavor,,,this is the place! I have nothing negative to say flavor, atmosphere and the smiles from the staff are top notch! We will definitely be returning 👍🙏👍🙏

We tried this place while staying at the Hickory Point RV Park and it was quite good. I got the Avocado Bomb based on another review and liked it! My husband got the 7-piece sashimi. We got three Specialty Rolls - Kiss of Fire, Hot Mama and the Yellowtail Jalapeño…we like spicy rolls. They were all good and Happy Hour is from 4-7pm so I got the House Chardonnay for a steal and it was a nice glass of wine. If we lived in the area, this would absolutely be a regular place for us. And we had no problem parking an RV in their private lot.

What an amazing dining experience ❤️ the place looks great, clean, and spacious. The food is absolutely awesome. The food presentation is out of this world. The service is amazing, very attentive, and this was the best sushi we ever had. The menu is big with a huge variety of choices to satisfy everyone and good prices. Also, they have great cocktail choices, and happy hour 3 -7 pm with 50% off on certain appetizers. Oishi is definitely a hidden jem in Tarpon Springs.

I had the Shashimi Deluxe, and my spouse had the pork ramen. Beautiful presentation, attentive staff, and the fish were of high quality (clean cuts, fresh flavor and color, and generous portions). The bone broth for the ramen was honestly some of the best I have ever had. The wait staff said it is an 8 hour process, and you can taste it!

What an incredible, authentic Asian restaurant. The food was delicious and the server was happy to explain all of the different foods on the menu. The presentation of the food is impressive. I will definitely be back.

We loved absolutely everything on the menu, from the delicious sake, my fruity cocktail and my husband’s hot sake, our starters were Crab Rangoon and fried oysters, and we ordered the sushi dragon platter, which included the weekend roll and shrimp tempura and it was absolutely amazing, we enjoyed the fried cheesecake, and more importantly, the service, and the staff are so friendly, and we are so excited to come back for lunch the next time we visit beautiful Tarpon Springs! 😍🍶🍤🍱🍣🥢

My husband and I eat here once a week! Terrific food, friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere. So wonderful to have an authentic Japanese restaurant right here in Tarpon Springs. Highly recommend. They even have a free parking lot for the restaurant patrons, can be hard to find at the Sponge Docks.

Stumbled across this place walking around tarpon with my mom. From the outside we were like I don't know about this place. WELL I am so glad we went in and checked it out because it was beautiful inside. The menu is insane, so many options. We ordered 3 rolls and a few appetizers. THE SUSHI CAME OUT ON A DRAGON THAT LIT UP. It was SO COOL. I took videos but for some reason it would not let me upload it here. The presentation for all the dishes is great and it taste fantastic as well. It's a win win. I've already told all my friends about this place and I will most definitely be back. HIGHLY recommend.

I must say, after several people gave this place as a recommendation I was very disappointed. The girl who took care of us was so unattended, and not friendly. I explained to her that this was our first time I had some questions about the menu, and she acted like we were bothering her. Let me just say there was no one in the restaurant besides me and my granddaughter Secondly the food was not up to par. I thought the Ramen was awful. The sushi was very good, but I think we made the experience worse was the server.

The outside is unassuming, but inside is beautiful and welcoming. I love the time can effort they put into presentation of their dishes and the taste is amazing as well. Their sake selection is the best I've seen in Florida. Would definitely recommend.

After plenty of Greek food we were craving some sushi. The rating does not lie. Not only was the food delicious and menu extensive, the presentation is unlike any I've ever seen before. They even had a laser show on the sidewalk outside. The service was kind of slow with only 2 sushi chefs and 2 girls on the floor and the egg fried rice had no egg and was over cooked but it's hard to find good help and they took the rice off of the bill so really no complaints

Came here with friends after a few beers. LOVED the vibe here. The sushi is amazing. I didn't know they had a sake selection, maybe next time Ill have a few sake instead. The staff is very attentive and even though there wasn't many on, our server checked on us often. Cannot wait to bring more friends and coworkers here.

I think it is one of the best Asian restaurants in Pinellas county.

I stopped for lunch today and had a Bento box with Tempura chicken. The portions were massive but lacking in any finesse. The Tempura chicken and vegetable pieces were huge but tasted of old cooking oil. The California roll was less impressive than found in a supermarket. A large pile of edamame beans was nice but again enough to feed a family. Overall I'd rather have 1/3 as much food of better quality.

the presentation of the sushi is incredible! The special rolls are reasonably priced from $12-15 a piece. Ordered 3 rolls, summer roll, butterfly, and spider, and the jalapeño poppers appetizer, everything tasted wonderful and very fresh. The service was alright they came by once for the order and after the food not much seeing the server but you have everything you need soy sauce , chopsticks.. the atmosphere is super nice place looks brand new ! you walk in and there’s a nice bar in the middle and the projectors are cool too! Will definitely return for the sushi!!

Cute and cozy Japanese restaurant. Good quality food, beautiful presentation & skillfully made sushi maki that don't fall apart and generously filled. They have big selections of sake. Kitchen food is just as good as the sushi. The perfectly cooked hibachi fillet mignon is the best I've tasted in all the Japanese restaurants around the area. Good Service and the price was right. I highly recommend this restaurant

Truly adorable place, sweet staff, and amazing food. Their menu has plenty of options and they even offer takeout! This was the “sushi for 2” option and canned sake are the drinks we had. The environment is so cute here too!

The food is out of this world 🌎. It is amazingly fresh and the presentations are a work of art. Tarpon Springs is a Greek community and Oishi brings that international flair to it. The owners and staff are very welcoming. The decor is very modern but truly authentic. I have an allergy to eel and they were super accommodating with that. The menu is also very extensive.
