When moving to a new city, the first thing to do is find your preferred Mexican restaurant. We found ours with Old Mexico. The restaurant has a pre-pandemic feeling with classic menus and no QRL codes. The staff was very attentive and friendly. It's everything you would expect for a nice family restaurant.

They don’t know what chalupas are and offer them on their menu. Nachos were subpar and hardly had any cheese on it. If you’re looking for a cheap meal and don’t care about your tastebuds… I definitely recommend

The food was awesome and affordable!

The food is phenomenal for a great price! Both times I've carried out but the atmosphere inside is so cozy and beautiful and the folks who own it are kind and remember your face. They've also got a bar 😁 10/10

My husband and I came for dinner and we asked for a table (for medical reasons) and they refused to serve us because they only had bigger tables available and the hostess wanted to keep them available *IN CASE* bigger parties arrived. They were dead and besides us there was only one other couple dining in. Completely unprofessional. We will not be back.

Went to Old Mexico for lunch today was seated promptly and that was about it. Waitress left and did not return. Waited 20 minutes with staff looking at us with no attempt to make contact. We decided to leave and was told by manager that the waitress decided to take a little break. The chip and salsa chips were greasy and tasted old. Would not recommend this establishment to anyone

My husband and I are regulars here for a reason, we were treated like family by the staff from our very first visit , service is so prompt and friendly, food is made to order in huge portions at super affordable prices. By our 5th visit the staff had our drink order , appetizer order and dinner preference memorized , they always joke with us and other customers, putting a smile on all of our faces . This place takes pride in restaurant service and making you feel welcome . Not to mention, the food is always delicious .

We got takeout and it was horrific the street tacos are loaded with overcooked and under seasoned steak and the fajitas were mostly just onions making the best part the guacamole and definitely won’t be trusting DoorDash reviews anymore this place is nothing to rave about and Taco Bell is a step up.

Food is amazing. There is three servers and one of those I won't say is horrible but she's not very friendly to be in customer service. Yes I can say that cause we've been multiple times and it's the same every time!!!

Having visited Old Mexico Restaurant in Callaway with my family, we unfortunately had a disappointing experience. Despite being seated promptly, we observed that several other customers who arrived after us were served before we could even place our drink orders, let alone order our food. This made us feel undervalued as customers and left us with the impression that perhaps our patronage, as a retired military family, was not appreciated at this location. We came to the conclusion that this establishment may not be the most welcoming place for families like ours. I would recommend trying out the Lynn Haven location instead, where we have always had excellent experiences and where all patrons are treated with respect and care

The owner and staff showed me what the true dine in experience is.. order and keep it moving.. it felt like the old experience turn and burn.. the food was ok. .. as far as price it was way to high for one person..the food is not true Mexican cuisine.. more like American made fast food.. will not go back.. good luck

It took about 10 or 15 minutes to get our chips and drinks, then another 10 minutes for the waitress to come and take our order. When she took our order, she told us it would be about 25 minutes. Because we had our drinks already, we decided to go ahead and order. It took 59 after ordering for our food to arrive.! After we had ordered they started telling people it would be a while before they got their food. We asked for a discount because it took so long, and they only gave us 10%!

We love this place for lunch. Food is really good. However the staff is rude and pushy. They leave you sitting waiting on a refill extra napkins etc. The food is worth it.

Stopped in for lunch at this great little Hideaway in Callaway. Don’t let the rough exterior fool you. Inside, Your stomach will be in heaven great food excellent service fantastic prices don’t miss out stop in and grab a Chalupa.

I need to tell you you're missing out if you don't go here. Service was on point, our drinks never got empty! Salsa & queso were outta this world. I got the chimichanga (beef) with rice. The rice was amazing. I don't even like rice. My husband enjoyed the fajitas. He said they were really yummy and even left with a to go box because of course we filled up on salsa & chips. This place needs to be much busier open to close. Please go!

Gente muy mala, Panama City no tiene truck stop para los choferes de trailer que vivimos allí, detrás de este restaurant hay un mercado que no está funcionando y pues algunos hemos aprovechado el espacio para ir a ver nuestras familias a Panama City, pues los trabajadores de este restaurant llaman la grúa para que se lleven nuestros trailer, nose que tanto les molesta si ni les tocamos sus parqueos, por eso apruebo una y mil veces la ley del gobernador, todos los meseros y cocineros allí son indocumentados, ya se los reporte a Imigracion para que en cualquier momento les caigan, ojo por ojo y diente por diente como dice mi abuelita, para que prueben el mismo vino que ellos regalan, pónganse al tiro raza para que no sean culeros,

The initial interaction was suspect because the hostess sat 6 people before us and then when we told her 5 she said they had no seats for 5. So my husband asked to add a chair to a booth. They did. They got our drink order and that was it. No one ever came back to get our order until we paid for the drinks and was on the way out the door after waiting for almost an hour. The server came and said she did not speak English but she served 5 other tables that came in after us. Service was terrible and customer service was HORRIBLE!! DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!

Literally just left this place. Waited over 45 mins for our food, and they were not THAT busy. Wait staff is not really friendly, barely efficient. Once served, food was hot and decent. It's a shame bc it could be a good local restaurant.

Terrible service. If I could give zero stars I would. We arrived and had a larger party seated before us. They came to us and said they could not seat us 5. Until the manager said it was ok and they brought us a chair. We ordered drinks but never received service to order food. The waitress said she did not speak English but had just took other orders from English speaking customers. We end up leaving without ordering. Do not recommend and will never return.

Friendly staff and the food was fresh 3 weeks ago. Update. Went there on Friday May 5th about 5oclock and it was a mistake, it took a really long time to get out food and I couldn't get a single refill because the workers we're running around like crazy. The food was good as usual but for us the service is just as important as the food. Well take the blame for this one since we went at a busy time.

The food is slightly below average for a Mexican restaurant. My wife and I felt as though we were being rushed the whole time we were in This establishment. I hate criticizing places and this was my personal experience but this is how I felt after leaving the establishment

I ate early, 5pm. Had a friendly,attentive server. I ordered a burrito and it was delicious. I will definitely go here again.

Great place to eat, fast and friendly

This is the closest Mexican place to our house and the food is always good! The margaritas are strong too. 🙃 totally recommend. It's a smaller business, so sometimes you might have to be patient, but worth it!

This is really good Mexican food. The price is not bad. I would suggest a Steak super burrito or fajita burrito or just fajitas. Child friendly environment.

Gotta try that triple D dip with your chips, the fajitas are amazing but messy. You can choose a fajita burrito on lunch which works great.

It's ok. They aren't very friendly. They didn't seem to want customers. I don't know if they've just had that many rude customers to make them that way or what. They said as few words as possible and rarely responded when spoken to.

went in around noon for my hour lunch. got served a drink about 20 minutes after entering which is ok if its busy. i then waited another 25 minutes to even have the server waiting on me approach the table for the first time. Meanwhile I watched 4 different groups enter after me and have their orders taken and even ones food came out before I had even been seen. I asked if a small lunch meal would be more than 20 minutes (beyond my lunch hour) and was told yes. I said just bring me my bill and was told ok, then never saw my server again. This is unacceptable service and will never be giving this place my business. Having 6+ years of bartending/server experience I can confidently say this is one of the more atrocious encounters i've had with apathetic and generally uncaring staff. Manager should of rectified the situation not just the server nonverbally saying don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Old Mexico is a Panama City classic! You are guaranteed a great meal and excellent service from a friendly staff at the Parker location. The Fajitas Texans are delicious especially if you add a Margarita 😋👍

Terrible service, will turn you away an hour before closing telling you it's "to go only" and "they're closing soon" with 7 full tables and 13 empty table inside. Honestly glad I didn't spend my money here.

Be careful the charge what ever they want. Also the quality of the food is not the same as before. My son found a hair in his salsa, they bring us a queso that we never ordered and charged us for that and the steak meet was chewy. Do not recommend this place.

They ran out of food on Cinco de Mayo 😢 turned people away. I wish that when people go out to eat with their kid's that they would have respect for the other people that are dinning. Because we are there to enjoy our meal, not listen to your kids screaming, these kids were probably between 5-12 years of age, the 2 year olds were better behaved. While the adults ignored them and talked louder so that the other adults in their group could hear them.

The food was awesome, and the staff was friendly. They were pretty busy, and we had to wait a lot, but the staff apologized and offered more drinks, that we enjoyed. ..I would like to listen better Mexican music next time.

The food & service was good. Prices are a bit high.. My husband & I each got 2 large beers & 2 burritos each.. $60+ dollars! 😳 I'm use to the buy one get one free deals. Plus bathrooms smell like pee real bad.

Food was nice as always. The staff was pleasant and polite as always, except for the one female server (the larger shorter lady) she is rude, un attentive, and stares at you whilst your eating like not just a glance buy fixates on you, this is not only rude but very uncomfortable!!

Love the food, but the male waiter needs an attitude and memory adjustment! No smile, and poor service! AND, there was hardly any other customers - it was only 4:00 in the afternoon! We had to keep asking the waitresses for refills etc. I never got a refill on my salsa, and my friend next to me never got her order of sour cream! Come on, get with the program!

I have been going to Old Mexico for at least 10 years now. Something has changed. They have a new menu with more menu options, which is great. But the salsa tastes different. Not bad, just not what I was used to getting there. Other than the salsa, I still love this place!

Its ok. The ground beef looked and tasted like it came from next door at Taco Bell. My party started feeling sick after we ate.
