I have no idea how this restaurant can have a 4.4 rating on Google. Today is August 30, 2024 me and my family placed a takeout order that totaled roughly $50. One pizza, one calzone and six garlic knots. When placing my order, I told the employee that I wanted the pizza and the calzone cooked well done! We like our food crispy and fully cooked! Let me start off with the easy part, the garlic knots, typically these consist of small rolled up balls of dough cooked to perfection With a garlic sauce smeared on top. But what we got was six balls of uncooked dough that was slightly browned on the outside, The entire knot/roll Was completely raw. 100% uncooked dough, Wet slimy. And it had absolutely no taste no garlic sauce there wasn’t even a sprinkle of anything on top of the rolls themselves! Let me move the calzone, The calzone had no feelings all I wanted was cheese, Not only was there six times too much mozzarella, but there was zero Ricotta cheese, and zero flavor. On top of that, we found more uncooked raw dough, I don’t know what happened, but I do know that I asked for the pizza and the calzone to well done So I am totally taken back on how they would allow the dough to leave completely raw. The pizza was decent my children ate it. We have lived in high Springs for a few years now and this was our first time eating at this establishment. Me and my family enjoy eating out on occasion and we always love Italian food Mexican food. With that being said, my family has also owned multiple restaurants. I grew up working in my father‘s restaurant So I definitely understand the importance of being Dedicated to providing customers with a quality product. Based on our experience tonight, we will definitely never return to this restaurant. It’s not just the uncooked dough was the fact that the calzone and the garlic knots were completely tasteless, There was absolutely no flavor, The calzone probably had a half a pound of mozzarella cheese, but it lacked flavor and ricotta. The garlic knots had absolutely no garlic sauce on them. They were literally just bread. Everything about this restaurant screams, unexperienced, educated food people serving up a dish that wouldn’t pass the taste test at any level. It was a full blown disaster! Now it brings me to their rating on Google. How could this restaurant have a 4.4 rating? They must have a lot of local friends who give them ratings based on their personal interactions or friendships not For the actual quality of the food. There is absolutely no way that this place should have a 4.4 rating. Something isn’t right

Big fan of this place. I drive from Newberry just to get it. Sauce, crust and cheese all work well together and you can tell it is quality ingredients. Staff really friendly~

Food is good, however service I cannot say the same about. I ordered a 3 topping special they had for 21.99, however when I got there to pay the cashier said oh, sorry it doesn’t include the pizza with the white sauce. I stated maybe you should’ve stated that when I ordered. I paid for the expensive pizza and left. Sad to say it will be my last time doing business there. Way too expensive for me. I live in the local community and love to support our local businesses, but customer service is everything to me.

My husband just got our pizza. He watched it come out and get placed in a box. The guys in the back were working there tail off. The girl working the counter was too busy flirting.... pizza is stone cold! Very disappointed.

Craving a good pizza, the kids & I decided to give Pepperoni's Pizzeria a try. Because I had heard from several that they have a great pizza, we stopped. They did not disappoint! Nice guys behind the counter! We will Return :)

If i could rate a zero i would, The management Owner do not treat teenagers with respect. You should steer clear of this place. Food quality is not what it used to be but the price keeps climbing.

Really sorry to have to write this review, as the staff is always kind and helpful, but 2 medium 2 topping pizzas for $45 is pretty outrageous. Sad to say that we won't be coming here any longer.

Very disappointed..spend $51 on food I gave to my dogs ..New to the area (from Clearwater area ) still trying to find a decent wing/ pizza place 1st and last time here ..in all fairness I didn't get the pizza so I can't comment on it but we're I come from (and everywhere else I've ever had one,except here) calzones come with ricotta cheese not here it's a Stromboli. Tried I cause of someone else's review on the calzone (must have been an employee) ..and the wings are just regular wings with tabassco/franks ..very wet ..and soggy..

Picked up 2 extra large pepperoni pizza they were covered with pepperoni everyone was happy with it

Went for a quick lunch and got the 2 pizza slice deal for her and 5 wing deal for me. Cheese slices were pretty big, very tasty. Thai chili wings were amazing. Garlic Knots were on point. Def going back

Service, a tad slow ... We ordered on the road, they said it would ready in 20 mins, 25 mins later we showed up, they hadn't even started making it yet. The three people working we're having a great time larking about... It was, eventually, a tasty pizza. Not quite as good as I remember but tasty anyway.

This place apparently only has slices during certain times of the day? First time ive ever heard of a pizza place saying something like that. I have gotten the pizza a few times, nothing special, not worth the $20 they charge for an XL imo.

We got a large 'build your own' pizza and it was absolutely delicious! We put pepperonis, meatballs, banana peppers, and mushrooms, all toppings were generously portioned and the sauce and crust were perfect. Also, I had to try the desserts and even though they are not made in house, definitely worth trying. This will absolutely be our go to pizza place from now on!

Updated review: I dropped the star one due to cost. For a personal pizza (sized for a kid- it has 4 small slices) its $10. For 2 pizzas (a LG and MD) and breadsticks it's $50...... I know everything has climbed but dang!!! I can get surf and turf from publix and have a 5 star meal for $60 Facility has always been clean (the few times I’ve been in) and staff has been friendly but professional. Pizza is fantastic!

I just ate at this hidden gem in High Springs and was not disappointed. Pizza was delicious and the calzone was perfect. I will definitely be returning and definitely recommend. 5 stars!!!!

We ordered 2 xl pizzas and 2 orders of garlic knots. Unfortunately everything was a disappointment. I love a white pizza so I ordered one. This is the description of the white pie “ White Pie Smothered with ricotta & mozzarella plus one topping of your choice (no sauce) P 9.49 M 16.49 L 20.49 XL 23.49” It was most definitely not smothered with ricotta or mozzarella. In fact I could not even find the ricotta or taste it. It tasted like a cheese pizza with garlic, it was dry and left a lot to be desired. The garlic knots were hard and went into the garbage. My husband ordered a cheese pizza with pepperoni. Key word here is cheese pizza, there was very minimal cheese and would describe it like eating cardboard with pizza sauce and a couple of pepperonis. This place used to be decent, and is a shame they can’t produce good “cheesy” and flavorful pizza, especially since we forked over $60 for the worst pizza I think we have ever had. Honestly it would have been better to by frozen pizza at the Winn- Dixie. Pepperoni’s pizza, please do better!

I'm sorry I didn't get names . On Friday June 2, I walked in, placed my order for my family. It was deleted or cancelled may I say on accident. I understood things happen when stress sets in. Being a caretaker I understand. So a mistake was done but the owner or the manager fixed it and made it right and I couldn't be more thankful and grateful for this amazing group of 2 people that helped my family and I enjoy a meal without a fuss and we are grateful. Amazing people, amazing neighborhood Pizzeria. Thank you for making our night that much more to enjoy.🫶🏽💯 By the way the calzones were to die for we enjoyed every bit❤️

I stopped here as I was visiting some family, and there was not many options for food. I went in and had 2 lunch specials - 2 slices and a drink. The drink machine is in very bad condition - it had obvious signs of standing water and appeared to have not been cleaned in some time. The pizza I didn't know about until we got into the car, but it was bad. It was definitely old, and had been sitting out. The sauce had developed a "crust" from losing it's moisture. I took one bite and knew I couldn't eat it. So both my wife and I threw it away. I don't know if this is custom or because it was close to the end of lunch, but it was not edible. I will definitely cross this one off the list to eat at when I come out there. I hope you guys see this and make some changes to how you guys keep and store the pizza.

Pepperoni's always does a great job having my order ready on time and always gets it right. I use their online ordering system and have never had any issues. Food is always good!!

The pizza is better than your typical big brand pizza delivery places. Their pasta was pretty good, and the bread was good. The guy behind the counter seemed a bit lost, and when I asked him everything was there, he second guessed himself and circled the kitchen twice... fortunately, everything was there.

Hadn't gone here in awhile because we moved but just got a large thin crust no toppings, just cheese and sauce. Very burnt and the crust was super tough. I'm so disappointed. This was going to be my Sunday treat. On top of that the service was lousy. I had to check that the guy behind the counter had a pulse because he sure doesn't have a smile. So sad that things have changed. I'm hoping mine was a unique experience.

The service is always friendly but the quality has gone downhill. When I first moved here I couldn’t believe how great the pizzas were. Among the best I’d tasted and I’m definitely a pizza connoisseur. Then they changed the sauce and afterward it all went downhill. I still stop by every once in a while but last few times have been disappointing and after today, I won’t order again. About the same as Hungry Howie’s now. The smell was so bad when I opened the box today, it took my appetite away. What happened?

Great little blue collar pizza place. Limited seating but that's not a downside unless you plan on dining in during lunch rush. Definitely worth a visit.

Honestly some of the best pizza (to my taste) I've had. Crispy crust, sauce up to the crust, vegetables under the cheese and nice flavored pepperoni...not the hormel or bland ones you get at a chain. Not from the area but if I was in within 30 mins of this place I would detour for it.

After 20 years of great pizza seems they have changed their formula. The crust is now thin and tasteless. Too bad too because this was the best pizza within 20 miles. Update: Seems like it was a one off bad. The next pizza I got was awesome!

Wow…. Just plain wow. We passed this place whilst exploring out here in the farm lands and decided to drop on by for lunch and boy oh boy am I glad we did! They were so delicious, quality north style pizza. I was blown away as it’s always hard finding good pizza in the south, Florida specifically. We each had a slice of pizza as well as some pepperoni rolls. Everything was to die for and I wish I’d snapped some photos. We will probably go back later today though and I’ll make sure to take some pics. Do yourself a favour and try this place out! You will not regret it!

My husband and I ordered a large pizza there which turned out to be very good however two of the five items that we attempted to get on the pizza were not on there. When I got home and realized that the pizza was not correct I called the pizzeria the young gentleman DJ was so polite and so kind and very respectful. I can't say the same for Holly the manager though. Not only did she not want to hear what I had to say about the pizza, when she got on the phone she never said that she was the manager just her name not how can I help you is there anyway I can make this correct or right for you. None of it. Not only was she rude but she hung up on me. Then when I called back she refused to get on the phone with me and that's how I got DJ who did an excellent job at customer service. If I knew of a way that I could get a hold of Joel and Karen Mills who are the owners of the pizzeria I would love for them to know that DJ deserves a very big pat on the back possibly an increase in pay and Holly does not deserve the job as the manager there. It's a real shame very disappointing my family has always ordered from pepperonis and really enjoy it. due to this experience we probably will not be back. If anyone has any information about Joel and Karen Mills who own the pizzeria I would love for someone to contact me or send information through my profile to get in touch with them. What a shame the place is rated as one of the best places to eat pizza in high springs. Very disappointed in Holly.

First time eating here, a bit pricey but it was delicious! Pizza was cooked accordingly, the breadsticks were AMAZING and so is their marinara sauce. Love it and will be back!

I really like this place. The personal cheese pizza is perfect. I get garlic knots as well but lately they have been skipping the butter on top and they aren't nearly as tasty without it.

We ordered two large pizza's with 8 toppings total and 20 wings and it was $83. I was surprised with the cost, but 5 toppings on one pizza and 3 on the other adds up! The pizza was outstanding and the wings OK. I would go back when I come back to High Springs. It was set up for take out only.

Friendly staff. Food is ready when they say it will be. Calzones are good but overly greasy. Salads are small and overpriced.

Wow. Best pizza. We have lived in this area for over five years now. Sunday was the first time we stopped in three. Great pizza. It was just as good as a leftover today. Great crust. Sauce that was well flavored and sausage that did not give my wife heartburn. Yea.

Pepperonios is the best. They have authentic food with greatest quality ingredients. I have such hard time choosing off menu but you can't go wrong with their calzones and desserts. Karen, the owner is kind, professional, organized and hands on in kitchen and front. Throughout this year and past they continue to kept finest cleanliness standards and been covid free! Thank you for being the finest pizza in this Gainesville area.

It was not bad, ingredients where fresh but it was not sensory overload - no unique flavor. On the bland side. I ordered the small/personal size pizza. Next time I will try the larger size piza and stay away from the appetizers that added $10 to my bill but were run of the mill food. Call ahead your order if you do not want to wait 15 minutes in a parking lot.

Perfect amount of toppings. We ordered pizza after helping friends move and it was so good. Not too greasy and plenty of toppings.

The "Pepperoni special'' is an awesome pizza choice, and the Pepperoni Rolls are to die for!
