I was sooooo wildly conflicted on the food rating with this wonderful place. I know, my intro sentence doesn't exactly match my rating. The staff were nice and attentive. Pros: If you are going here for the Pizza and the kind service, you will be very impressed, as it was a 5 star in my opinion. Cons: The garlic knots... crash and burn. Complete epic failure (critical fail roll for the nerds in the crowd). It was literally served as garlic flavored Italian cinnamon-less buns (please, I'd rather you just say you don't sell them instead of getting these). They were nearly burned on one side and perfectly cooked on the other. On a side note, the garlic and seasoning served with them were amazing, and so was the marinara dipping sauce. Their drink machine is way overdue for an update. the drink options were very limited. Their lobby is quite small, I can imagine getting a table while they are busy is likely impossible. Fortunately for me, they were not busy while we were there. Final thoughts: I was so wildly conflicted to have to give this place a negative after the great service and amazing pizza. I over-ate just wanting to stuff more of that delicious pizza in my mouth. This place is well worth a visit, especially if you want a nice dine-in pizza experience.

THEY ALSO HAVE A 1/2 SANDWICH AND EITHER A CHOICE OF A SALAD OR SOUP. I HAVEN'T TRIED IT YET BUT I'M PLANING ON IT 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. ASK FOR GRANT. HE IS FAST FRIENDLY AND INFORMATIVE 😃.

I really enjoyed Pizzitalias. The restaurant looks a lot nicer on the inside than you would expect since it's in a plaza. The atmosphere is nice. It has a cozy Italian vibe with the music and decor. We split a pepperoni pizza and an order of garlic knots. They were both delicious. The garlic knots were huge, and the order came with eight of them. The pizza was incredible. It was so good that I've been craving it again. I really loved the dough. You could see the knead marks where it was homemade. It was really light and fresh. The sauce was also a stand-out. It was thick, flavorful, and it had the perfect amount. Our service was great, and our waitress was patient with us as we were distracted in a deep conversation. I loved this place, and I can't wait to return.

The pizza is amazing and the variety appeals to everyone’s taste. The antipasto salad is full of flavor and the dressing is delightful. The garlic rolls are to die for….. topped off with sauce. The pastas are mouth watering and The meatballs are just like nonna made. Grant our server was outstanding gracious and we wanted for nothing. He was on top of everything and the timing was perfect. Tony the owner is a gem to work with On catering orders. The portion sizes are overwhelming no one will be hungry and Tony is a delight to work with orders are always timely. This is a diamond in the rough an unexpected treasure. A great place to eat pizza in a restaurant like the pizza times of a few years back…

Home town vibe. Food better than olive garden, same style meals, one entree order got me garlic bread, pasta, salad , and the meal. Filling and delightful 💖

I ordered online and called in to make sure my order was right the guy seemed nice at first. When i walked in he gave me a whole different demeanor. Not sure if he was new but he came off rude to me. Then when i looked at the pizza which i thought was the pie style he told me no i ordered the wrong thing here is ur pizza and good bye. I could went there with him but decided he was not worth my time. The food was ok but they seem to not give a good vibe towards our ppl when we walk in. This is the second time espcially from their customers they give u a look as if your not welcomed in that establishment. Last time good luck to this place and that guy who handling orders.

Well funny thing, UBER EATS mistakenly dropped a pie and some fried cheese. After many attempts to find the correct deliveree... UBER EATS told me to dispose of it, and I did - YUM. This is closer to NY pie than WEST SHORE (probably should get Portnoy over there on his next trip to FLA - 7.9) I will now order from them moving forward. GOOGLE should allow for .5's his is 4.5.

Grant was fantastic and went above and beyond to ensure our delivery was the way we wanted . We called to add things to our online order . Top notch guy , very patient and helpful and he even called back to let us know the total added ! We will definitely be dining in soon.

Celebrated my sons 14th with the family here as a party of 23...the service was fantastic, the staff was on top of everything and served with a smile. The food was top notch and delicious! Portions were huge!! We will definitely be returning!!

This is by far that worst pizza I've ever had in my life absolutely tasteless and the crust taste like raw dough I've never had terrible pizza even bad pizza taste good this was horrible. This was worse than frozen ☹️

I would come here just for the garlic knots. They are so fluffy! I tried the chicken Florentine which comes with pasta, two garlic knots, and salad or soup. It was a lot of food. I’ll be eating it again for dinner tomorrow! I really liked the Florentine. It was lemony and delicious. We will need to come back and try the pizza!

My husband and I loved this place. Our waitress was so sweet and very friendly. The food was amazing! I got the chicken marsala, and my husband got the stuffed pizza. We also ordered garlic knots that were homemade and so good!

This pizza joint is the best in Tampa! The food is incredible, and if you’re a family with little ones this is the place for you. Maria, our waitress, made us and our 17 month old feel more than welcome and provided upstanding service. We absolutely will be back!

I ordered this place on door dash. It was so good I’m about to order it again and pick it up myself to tell them personally how good it is.

Half my delivery was missing and they will not answer calls. Explain to a kid that he can't have dinner! Unprofessional. Do not waste your time here!

I eat lunch at Pizzitalia regularly. Food is very good, service excellent and portions are good. This is a hidden gem. Chris, the owner, is from New Jersey originally and he knows what he’s doing. Staff is friendly and eager to please. Check it out. You won’t be disappointed.

I ordered takeout and I got the eggplant Parmesan. I ordered it with the spaghetti noodles unfortunately they don’t have Angel here, but the spaghetti was cooked. Well I enjoy the eggplant Parmesan and would definitely order again. The garlic knots that came with the meal were delicious as well. Portion sizes were great. I ate on it about 3 to 4 times.

Great little place to eat at. Took the family in for dinner. The food tasted great and was generously portioned. Looking forward to going back and trying other items off the menu.

What a great dinner. Way too much food! Real Italian (homemade) and large portions! Delicioso! Our server, Donna is so friendly and makes you feel at home! Definitely will be back! Oh...the garlic bread (knots) are simply wonderful!

Great to see a casual local italian spot in tampa. There aren't many choices here. Food was great and so was the services. Prices are very affordable too.

100% absolutely authentic Delicious Italian food!! One of the best Italian restaurants I’ve been to in years. they also offer outside dining . I felt like I was back home in south Philadelphia again. Maria, our waitress was absolutely a delight. She was full of energy, pleasant, and very knowledgeable. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone that loves Italian cuisine. 🇮🇹

We visit this restaurant every time we come to see our son. The restaurant brings me back to when I was a child. Its old school and the food is amazing. For appetizer, we got mussel marinara, and it was enough for the 3 of us. I got the special of the night wine sauce, mushrooms with pasta and chicken cutlets that were covered with eggplant parmesan and mozzarella. My husband had chicken parmesan. My son really likes there Pasta with vodka sauce. The dinners come with choice of salad or soup and plenty of garlic bread. We always have to take our leftovers home because they give you so much food. The waitress Donna was a the best waitress, I had in years. She actually packed our leftovers herself and bag them and was so nice. Even though i live an hour a way, I think this will be my Italian restaurant in Tampa and its clean too.

Amazing good and great service. The pepperoni pizza was delicious and my friend loved the cauliflower pizza. We will definitely come back again.

Born & raised in Brooklyn NY & NJ for half my life and never had a pizza like this there. Seems anyone can raise a flag saying "New York Pizza", but the proof is in the product. First impressions when I went to pick up the pie was the place is more an eatery than a pizza pickup joint. I say this as I saw no pies sitting out on a counter for selling slices. The other first impression was I did not smell anything Italian cooking, at all - In NY pizzerias, the first thing that hits you is the beautiful aroma of all the great food cooking -. The absence of my own pie cooking left me wondering, but I really was trying to keep an open mind. Second impressions at home were a good tasting pizza with a far too thick crust for my liking (I like more of a 'snap' when I bite into the crust) with way too much cheese. While the pie was hot and fresh, it again tasted good, but the next day after reheating in the oven, the crust was hard as a rock which makes me never wanting to return for a second try. Still praying to find a great NY pizza in the Tampa area.

I am absolutely in LOVE with the eggplant Parmesan sandwich here, but everything I've ever tried has been great. I love the small dining vibe and the family atmosphere. It's not unusual to have a little conversation with a stranger at another table which I love! I'm tempted keep this place all to myself, but I also want to spread the word on how great it is.

Amazing calzones that come with a huge thing of marinara to dip in. The calazone is much bigger than your hand. Great service by phone. Highly recommend. They’re not the closest to me but by far the best. 5 ⭐️

John is always pleasant. He makes us feel well taken care of. Greeted us as we walked in and then was very attentive during our entire visit. Food was phenomenal, steak and cheese sub, italian sub, salad, and fries (crispy & tasty). Our once a week lunch go-to and often pizza to go for dinner too!

Very good Caesar salad, but the entrees were very oily. I had chicken Puttanesca and didn't care for it at all. Won't be back.

Excellent service . Loved the chicken francese very moist tender and the sauce was great . Huge Cesar salad for a side portion of the francese . Kids loved the pizza more than enough to take home at an extremely reasonable price . We had eaten the food before on Uber eats but which was great but fresh OMG trust me I’m from NJ

Food came out fresh and delicious. Portion sizes can’t be beat for the price. Our server, Donna, was amazing. Her recommendations were spot on and this will be our new favorite.

We discovered Pizzitalias while searching for a local restaurant with excellent pizza, salads and appetizers. Pizzitalias even had green olives! Yeah! We were so thrilled with our meals and overall experience that we returned for lunch the next day. It isn’t a big place but has great food and friendly staff. When the locals are willing to wait outside in the rain to get in you know it is the place to be!

The host/server was really nice and provided excellent service. The pizza tasted like home back in New Jersey, i recommend this place to anyone who misses the pizza back up north.

Got a chicken Parm sub, in terms of flavor very good. But for $12 I want more than 2 little strips of chicken on my sub. Disappointed by the portion but will be back to try other stuff.

We got takeout from here tonight after we were craving Italian food close to us. We haven’t been here before so we just ordered based off what we liked and let me tell you, it was incredible. We got a gluten free pepperoni pizza and the mussel linguine and it was phenomenal. I didn’t know that it came with garlic knots and they were so good and such a delight. The mussel linguine came with a side salad as well and after we got home and I realized that this one meal will feed me for the next two days. It is so much food. You really pay for what you get. Also, they piled mussels onto my dish, I did not expect for it to be mostly mussels and like a side pasta it was great and definitely exceeded my expectations. I’m so pleased with this place. Highly recommend!

I've place many orders here in the past. Today I placed an order on UberEats and cancelled the order within 20 seconds. 20 seconds!!! They still charged me a cancellation of $20 because they said they already started making it. That's impossible! Very dishonest! I guess I will not be ordering here anymore.

One of the best eats in the area! Authentic Italian food. The owners are wonderful and friendly. Some of the staple items we get include the meatballs, the calzones, and the veal dishes. Can't go wrong any of those items. We've never eaten inside, usually get it to go. Would love to dine in someday.

Donna, my server is top of the line at her job . Excellent and fast service. The food was delicious , I got the penne Alla vodka with grilled chicken and my girlfriend got the eggplant Parmesan . Both dishes were cooked to perfection . Whole experience was definitely a 10/10 . Going to make this place a regular spot for me .

Love this place, they make the dough for the pizza and bread in house and it shows. I've been 3 times in 2 weeks and every time it's fantastic. The service is great and I can't recommend this place high enough!

When u go in a Italian restaurant u will wait to see a welcoming and enjoyable moments but on this place when u come in u receive something like “desperate person trying to finish their shift”. Everything about this restaurant is great! The food never disappoints, large delicious portions! The staff is so nice and complacent that you feel at home! We love their lasagna 👍🏽. Highly recommend them!

This is a fabulous hidden treasure! The Fra Diavolo sauce is fabulous. You feel like you are in New York. Edit: ordered the chicken saltimbocca and it was completely inedible. Not cooked. Swimming in a brown grease gilled sauce. washed it off ad gave it to my dog.
