I have visited several locations and thus far they have all been pleasant, friendly & just a great atmostphere inside. It’s such a great vibe inside like you’re in a completely different place besides the town you’re in. It’s hard to explain, but I feel such a great calm and peaceful vibe at each one that I’ve been to.

I LOVE playa. This location used to be the best! the bowls HITT, but ur employees ARE SLACKING. My bowl was barely filled and had the tiniest bit of Nutella and minimal fruits compared to how you guys used to make it. BRING BACK THE TRUEEEE PLAYA WORKERS PLEASE!🥲🥲🥲

The attitude from the employees is horrible. Second time coming to this location because it's closest to me and will not be returning ever again. I rather drive 25 mins to the Easton Ave location then to come here. The girls working the front had such an attitude when I was picking up an order that I put through on Doordash. No one greets you, just handed the bag like she was annoyed with her job. Second experience was me calling with 20 minutes left until closing time for the girl to tell me they were closed and laugh at the end of it, even though closing time wasn't until 11p. Even doordash lets you put in orders up UNTIL 10;45pm. If you guys hate your job so much look for another one. You're making this business look very bad.

Fast and friendly staffs. This location is spacious but it’s quite dark in store. There’re outdoor seatings as well. Right in the plaza so there are plenty of parking spots.

I have the worst experience tonight The cashier who was on her phone the whole time while taking my order… I was not greeted at all did not feel welcome by this young lady as she stared at her phone. Ask for extra Nutella I had to watch to make sure I was getting the extra that I paid for since everyone was so occupied in their phones. just very rude customer service no thank you have a great night. Nothing just horrible. Hopefully when I return that same group is not there, Or maybe this review well get into the right hand and this can be addressed and taken care of. 5/20/24

i had to wait for my service while the people behind me got their order first . I expressed the workers I had somewhere to be in a minimum amount of time . I am fully aware customers were flooding in, however people who arrived first should be served first . I WILL be reaching out to authorities, because how rude they were

Açaí from there is perfect! It has the same flavor and ingredients as what exists in Brazil, but there they still add grated coconut and other different ingredients. They say that Americans don't know açaí, but there are several places that sell it.

The East Brunswick location lost a ten year Playa Bowls customer today. Whoever owns this franchise needs to retrain their staff, or seriously reevaluate who they have working for them, because this was bad. I ordered an açaí bowl with chocolate protein. When they handed me the bowl, it was half empty, frozen solid, freezer burned, and the protein powder was clearly not properly blended in. When I opened it up in my car to inspect it, the açaí base was broken into frozen, crystallized chunks. When I went back in the store to ask for a refund, I accidentally bumped the bowl with my hand and it tipped and spilled a little onto the counter. The girl at the cash register said with an attitude “you don’t like it so you dump it all over our counter?” GIRLL I couldn’t even believe it. It was obviously an accident, but if you hadn’t given me a frozen crystallized chunky mess, it would have stayed in the bowl when I bumped it with my hand, lol. Playa Bowls charges a ridiculous price, which people are willing to pay for FRESH fruit bowls, not freezer burned, half empty junk. I worked in food service for years in high school/college, and I would have gotten fired if I acted the way the East Brunswick staff did today. And to think I gave them a tip (that wasn’t refunded)? I will be taking my business elsewhere going forward.

The bowls and smoothies are delicious! The only place I would get healthy yet delicious bowls and drinks is here! The workers are so kind and always attend me and others with a bright smile on their faces! Affordable as well! Whenever I go there, I feel like I’m in a tropical place because of there bowls and drinks! 10/10 would recommend!

I drove 20 minutes to this location because I wanted to get an acai bowl. I arrived around 9:45 and they told me they weren’t taking anymore orders even though there was still 15 minutes left from closing. A waste of time.

girls were rude and made our bowls horribly. didn’t even drizzle nutella just slapped it on top. the containers were so dirty with nutella and fruit all over them that i needed to use napkins to grab them…

Playa bowl is not only affordable but it is delicious as well . It is perfect for when you want something sweet but also healthy .

Today was the last straw. These idiots cancelled my order three times cause they don’t feel like working. I will never spend my hard earned money at this place again. It’s not even worth the hype. Now waiting for my $90 + refund. I hate this place and hate everyone that works here. IDIOTS.

Life changing doesn’t even begin to describe the wonderful experience I had here. The moment I walked in I felt like I had just walked into a small açaí shop on a playa (beach in spanish). The bowls that they create are exquisite and SO DELICIOUS. I got a mango and chia bowls and it was an out of body experience. There is a ping pong table.The skill of the employees?? WOW. the way that the beautiful young lady serving me sliced up the bananas looked like she had been doing it for decades. I will be coming here EVERY SINGLE DAY. The employees are being kind especially the tall blonde with curly hair. If she isn’t assistant manager soon i might throw a fit!

Every time I come here the staff are so welcoming. And when I don’t know what to order they can give so many recommendations and even custom the bowls to exactly what I’m craving. Great location!

I liked the bowel but, I ordered Nutella because I expected it to have a little more Nutella than the others but it didn't. I liked the atmosphere and everything else.

My daughter has celiacs disease. Playa has become one of the few places we can go, and not feel stressed that she will have a reaction from gluten. Thank you.

I love the açaí and pitaya bowl from the Playa bowl. However, for the third time in a row, I'm not well attended by the employees. They always add unordered things and remove what they shouldn't. This Sunday, 05/21, I sat for 20 minutes waiting for my request, which was lost by the employee, who at the moment was joking with the others. When I questioned the delay, I didn't receive an apology, nothing. Not that the work environment should be a place without a good coexistence, but the client should be taken more seriously.

Went for the second time this week and I’ll be back of course. Delicious and fresh and the employees are always kind.
