Good food, great service, and decent prices.

Don't recommend it if you want to see what your eating it's so dark in there I was uncomfortable.the bread was falling apart because the sandwich was so wet.

Local flavor with a lot of personality! Great music, great food, friendly people.

I was very excited to try their Ruben I heard good things... But boy was I let down. Everything is nuked in a microwave before served. I could have made a fresher crisper French dip at home. It was rubbery... 2 beers and 2 sandwiches 40 bucks... Wow.. Disappointed.

Not very clean, waitress was very rude. Super crowded, dark, and smells awful, and seemed that the one waitress was doing everything when there was at least 5 other employees (including the ones cooking). We sat at the bar where the waitress took us and then waited a good 10 minutes before the waitress (sorry was never given her name, older shorter lady) very snappy, like we were a burden that we were there, & asked what we wanted to drink and as I was telling her my drink order she walked away and started talking to another table 😅🤯 like….. what ?!? 5 minutes later she comes back and goes sorry what do you want ? We order drinks and my husbands seltzer comes out with an unknown moldy object/food/specimen, on the lid and when we informed the waitress, she goes oh it’s just bacon it’s fine !!!!! 🤯🤯🤯 don’t waste your time, or risk ya health in here 😅

Perfect lunch place. Get there early as this is a small place. Don’t let that stop you from going. Sandwiches are stacked with meat.

My favorite corned beef sandwich place in Florida

Tourist here, definitely stop in if you love corned beef. A tad pricey but worth it, it's a high quality corned beef sandwich and they load it up pretty high.

I don't live close by this restaurant. In fact, it's 28 miles from where I live so when I'm in the area. I generally like to get a nice roast. Beef sandwich to go today. Order 2 my surprise when I got home. They have included this horrible slice of tomato that I don't believe anybody would see fit to put in a sandwich. Very disappointed when I spent twenty dollars positive on two sandwiches and I get home and this is what I find A slice of tomato with a thr center of it blackish brown no doubt from where it grew on the plant, however it most definitely should have been cut out. No one would make a sandwich at home with this slice So I wouldn't expect that a restaurant should be selling it on a sandwich either

Visiting family in town and the Red Mule was recommended - for their steamed pastrami and Ruben and they were AMAZING! We told our waitress it was our first time and she recommended the loaded baked potato salad - we got a small and ended up ordering 3 to-go to take back to the hotel. HIGHLY recommend!!!!!

Great little sandwich shop in Brooksville, Fl. Service was a bit slow when we visited but the place was full and you could see one of the staff was stuck on the phone the entire time taking phone orders.

I was told this place had excellent Reuben’s through the Hernando County Restaurant page on Facebook. It’s true. One of the best Reuben’s I had in a long time. My mother had the St Pat’s Day meal, which she loved. Can’t wait to try their French Dip.

Best Cuban sandwich. Come down every February from NW Iowa and a must to stop by for the Cuban. Ever get to brooksville stop for a sandwich. Heard the Reuben is also the best. Thanks for making my trip worth it.

Pastrami sandwich on rye was good. 6 Oz of meat? I paid $14.83 including tax for a sandwich and bag of chips and a slice of a pickle. I could have easily eaten another sandwich. Should have had double the amount of meat on it, instead I got a tiny portion. Good food, but way overpriced

My wife and I shared a Roast Beef French Dip sandwich. The roast beff meltedin our mouths. We greatly appreciated they 6 us 2 different plates with separate chips, pickles, and dipping juice for only .75 extra. Much more than fair. AWESOME server that was very attentive to our needs and stopped by often.

Fantastic place! A hidden gem. Red Mule Combo Ruben made my mouth happy. Hubby enjoyed the El Mulo/ pressed Cuban. Definitely generous meats like my childhood delis! The baked potato salad is also a delight.

If that is how they serve their sandwich to customers. I dont want be a customer. Could even ask them to remake because that is how the sandwich is prepared by them. Left my togo on the table because no trash can outside. Maybe it just togo. the first sandwich i had there last week was out of this world. Too bad it wasnt the sandwich i order. The remake wasnt great.

The Red Mule Pub is a great place to visit and eat. It’s not very big but the atmosphere is pretty cool. The food was great and the price was very reasonable for what you get. Really the only thing I negative I could say is that for having an Irish Pub feel, they don’t carry Guinness Beer!!

We are the owners of Empire Contractor Services Inc. My husband Benny and I always eat here when we are in the mood for Cuban sandwiches. They are delicious and their sweet tea is the best. Not let me forget the workers are very nice. So stop by for your Cuban or something else you won't regret it.

There is no comparison to the corned beef sandwich we devoured. It was so lean! Unbelievable! Our waitress was friendly always checking back . I loved the inside,of The Red Mule.. cozy and quaint!

We've enjoyed this restaurant for years but today we stopped in to have a quick sandwich and the menu price said one thing and they wanted to charge extra and it wasn't right so we ended up leaving the waitresses seemed indifferent and nobody wanted to do to charge the menu price that was listed on the menu we now won't be going back we're just one couple we know we probably don't mean much because the place is always busy and does very well and the food is great I just didn't like the way we were treated

Eating at this place was like coming home. Great food. Great service. Great atmosphere. This will be a regular hot spot for from now on.

I absolutely loved this place. I have never been here and have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by the ambiance of this place, thd decoration is top notch, the lighting was a bit dim for my taste, but other than that the food was amazing, I highly recommend El Mulo, so delicious, I highly recommend it. You will have the same pleasant experience I had. Guaranteed.

I don't understand the raving about their Reuben. As soon as I saw the bread was not grilled I was disappointed. It's a grilled sandwich by definition.

Love this little diner located in downtown Brooksville. Been going there since I was a kid and the quality has never dipped. Get the gorgeous brown haired waitresses everytime and she's wonderful at her job. Friendly attentive and just nice to shoot the breeze with. People behind the counter are always friendly and helpful as well. Definitely top 3 places for me with the nostalgia and good memories.

So after posting a Reuben Sandwich on social media a while back, my friend Randy said he knew a place. So... lunch it is! He invited me to meet him at Red Mule Pub in Brooksville, FL. The Reuben was FANTASTIC. Excellent quality meats, the perfect combination between corned beef and pastrami in their "combo"... fresh bread, tasty swiss and thousand island dressing. My only suggestion would be to make sure you asked for it "pressed" where they grill the bread to crisp it a bit, giving that crunch that makes it next level. I'll definitely venture back to Brooksville again, and invite my fellow Reuben aficionados to join me for a gastronomic sensation.

This place definitely doesn't scrip on the meats ever. There build your on sandwich is my favorite choice of meat, bread, cheese and how hot or cold and whether how to make it hot. This place is on fire 🔥

This place is usually always packed and for good reason, delicious food. It’s simple but tasty, it is quite dark in their but that is a nice touch in sunny Florida.

We have eaten here twice and were very pleased both times. We had the pastrami, reuben, and BLT sandwiches and all were delicious. Service was prompt and just enough. Cute decor and prices were reasonable. Really liked the fact that half sandwiches were offered.

My wife is so picky and she was so happy with her food. The size of the sandwiches are huge! The flavoring is on point! Definitely coming back. The Cuban is where it's at!!!!

Why did we wait so long to try this place? This is my new favorite Brooksville local place to go with my son and husband when neither of us wants to cook dinner. Great for a quick bite, they have all kinds of delicious sandwhiches with chips. The prices are very affordable and portions perfect. You can even order a half sandwich. It has a bar atmosphere with lots of swag. Kid friendly.

Service was exceptional, very friendly staff. Sandwiches were delicious and served in a timely manner. Will never go back though...let me tell you why. The restaurant is dimly lit for good reason...the decor is cluttered, antique, and dusty. Air quality is questionable. The floor appears to have been resurfaced poorly, whereas a slow toilet leak wasn't draining properly into the floor drain because it was coated in a rock and epoxy mixture, which squished upon the floor boards. Locals have raved about this restaurant, and I don't understand why. It's a dive...but if that's what you're into, this is the place to go. Just know that the sanitation grades are public record. Please view before dining at this establishment.

Darlene was our waitress, she was warm, friendly, extremely kind and had everything made to my preferences. The prices are great, the food is effing delicious. Like i said to Darlene; I've travelled several states and hundreds of cities. Red mule pub has THE BEST cuban sandwich and buffalo chicken dip i have EVER had in my life. You won't be disappointed :3

Great food, value and service!! Very reasonably priced for the amount of meat on the sandwiches. Wife and I split the Res Mule combo and it was plenty for the both of us, the decor is a pretty eclectic mix of things but fun and the service staff were very friendly......we will be back!!

Four of us stopped for lunch. Sandwiches were yummy. The corn beef and turkey used for all our sandwiches were a really good quality. Service was super friendly. We highly recommend giving Red Mule Pub a try!

We had to drop something off at the UPS Store in Brooksville today, and were wondering where we should have lunch. When we pulled up to park, we noticed the Red Mule Pub right next door. I checked the reviews and we decided to give it a try. So glad we did! Based on some of the reviews I read, we both got 1/2 sandwiches and we were both glad we did! Neither of us could have eaten a whole one! I did a Build a Sandwich and got a ham & swiss on rye, steamed. My husband got a Reuben. Both were great! Service was top notch, prices were very reasonable!! We will return for sure!

The food was great! I had the reuben and baked potato soup which was some of the best potato soup I've ever had. The only thing I would say about the sandwhich is the bread should be toasted more but other than that, everything was great and our waiter was incredibly kind.

Huge sandwiches, fresh and delicious. Great service and food comes out quickly. Our sole complaint was the interior lighting as it's a bit too dark inside.

I ordered a chicken salad plate and it was TERRIBLE! Tasted like chicken salad from a can or a vending machine. Just nasty, I spent $25 or so and out of the entire thing I ate a bit of the chicken salad and 1 olive both were just bad!

Arrived shortly after they opened at 11 am. We each ordered half a sandwich which comes with pickle and chips. I had corn beef Rueben and hubby had pastrami. The half was plenty for us. They were wonderful. I highly recommend this small interesting pub! Decor features Red Mules and lots of sport stuff. We’ll be back.

I came in today 10/27/2022 with my Dad ( Dean Schultz) and I got the French Dip sandwich and he got a Pastrami sandwich.Was very good. I’m from Erie Pennsylvania. The staff was very friendly.

This was are first time here ! We both had Ruben Sandwiches (grilled) cuz if you don’t ask it’s not !we shared Mac and cheese, loaded potato salad. The bread on the sandwiches came all soggy falling apart ! , the Viana Cornbeef was sliced to thick and tough also not a lot of it ! The mac n cheese is just ok , the potato salad was hot not cold we prefer Cold! The Potato soup my husband said was very good ! We left hungry after spending $48

Stop on a whim Saturday at lunchtime and glad we did. The Sandwiches were Great and the service was terrific. Busy place with a small menu but it has flexibility to make your own sandwich. Mine was the Red Mule combo! Well worth the money and faster than a fast food chain.

Yummy sandwiches and great service!

I've been going there for years but lately seems like the prices were starting to exceed the perceived value of the sandwich. Today 9/12/22 ordered a BLT $12.43 for paper thin bacon with 2 slices of paper thin tomatoes and shaved paper thin lettuce. The toasted bread held most of the flavor, VERY disappointed. I wished I took a picture.
