Pro-Scammers This hotel is an absolute nightmare. When I arrived, they checked us into a room that hadn't been cleaned after the last guest. Disgusted, I requested a different room, only to be given one with no balcony and twin beds instead of the king bed I had booked. I rejected this room and asked for a refund, which they approved, and I left the hotel immediately. However, it's been a month now, and I still haven't received my $300 + deposit refund. Despite numerous attempts to contact them via phone and messages on booking.com, no one has responded. This place is a scam, run away at all costs. The hotel itself is filthy and disgusting. Additionally, there are homeless people smoking weed right at the entrance. To top it off, the parking is far from the hotel. Avoid this place like the plague.

Hi! Please consider this my love letter to the Royal Frenchman Hotel Bar and Staff. My sister got married at this location last weekend and it felt like the end of a romantic comedy. Chloe thank you thank you thank you for making my sister's wedding dream come true. It was perfect in every way. Nina to be so honest I want to be your best friend you are so cool and so kind and supportive, thank you for embracing our crazy family dynamic. The staff laughed and cried with us (in a good way). They took their time to make every single person feel accommodated. I have never experienced such dedication to customer service. Nina delivered food and goodies powder to my boyfriend who had a migraine in our room. I mean every single thing that I thought would be a problem they immediately had a solution for. If you are considering an all-inclusive wedding package you cannot go wrong with The Royal Frenchman. I will shout their praises from the rooftops until the day I die. Their team made a perfect core memory that my family and I will have forever, and for that, I could never be more grateful. Thank you Thank you Thank you, Izzy :)

This hotel was a complete disaster. When we arrived, they gave us a room that hadn't been cleaned after the previous guest. We refused the room, requested a refund, and left the hotel. It's been over a month, and despite multiple attempts to contact them, we haven't received our $350. The hotel is dirty. Homeless people smoking at the entrance. Avoid this place at all costs; it's a scam.

We hosted our wedding weekend at The Royal Frenchmen and it was an absolute dream!! Chloe, Nina, Tyler and the entire staff are so kind and beyond helpful with anything you may need. Each room is unique and comfortable, and the bathrooms are beautifully updated. Perfect location on Frenchmen Street with amazing performers in the lobby each night. This place holds a special place in our hearts, and we will always come back to stay when we are in New Orleans!

Close to Canal Street, the French Quarter, the convention center, and the WWII museum. And of you take a right out of the hotel and just stay on Magazine/Decatur, it ends right in Frenchmen’s Street and all the jazz clubs. This was our second time staying here. They have a small parking lot that’s gated but it only has a handful of spaces and it’s first come first serve for a price! They give out garage clickers, however we received two different ones with the battery dead. The big perk of the hotel is the bar and the live music that is available almost every night. The bartenders are well versed and all the drinks were delicious. There are more than enough seats, out front, in the bar, the lobby, the dinning area and then the outside courtyard in the middle of both buildings. The beds are comfortable and rooms were clean. The only issue we had was that there was not an outlet in the bathroom for the blow dryer or my straightener. So I had to use the plug in the room which is fine but there was no other mirror but in the bathroom which made it difficult to get ready for the day.

We have stayed in hotels on every continent save Australia. We have stayed in many, many hotels in NOLA (my husband spent much of his life living in New Orleans--"go Crusaders") and look forward to returning to Royal Frenchmen! We were there last weekend on the second floor. We wanted to move into the bathroom...what a gorgeous bathroom! Spacious, one could eat off the floor! The water pressure in the shower was exceptional!!!The bedroom was large! Loved how the French doors opened to the view of their lovely courtyard. Most hotels furnish bottled water and Royal Frenchmen gave us double the normal amount. Great parking situation, too!!! The staff was so polite and helpful and actually seemed to enjoy being employed there. Can't beat it's wonderful location. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Best rooms I've stayed at in the French Quarter. Seemed like new! Fabulous bathroom too. Our room opened to the courtyard, which was really fun on New Year's Eve when the band was playing! Be aware, there are bands most nights until 1:00 a.m. You will not sleep before then if you're on the second floor of the main building. I can't speak for the auxiliary building across the courtyard, or higher floors. Just get ready for it and have fun! The main rooms in the lobby, first floor area are really pretty but the furniture is mix and match and a little strange. Parking on site for hotel guests, for a charge, is really helpful.

I am so happy that I stayed at the Royal Frenchman. The location of the hotel and bar made my stay in New Orleans so easy due to how close it is to everything. I was visiting the city for my first time ever as a solo female traveler and I felt very safe walking to and from this area. The staff was friendly and accommodating. When I arrived my room was not ready to check into yet, but they offered to hold onto my bags for me so I could go out and explore while I waited to check in. And again when I checked out I still had a lot of time before I needed to be at the airport so they again held onto my bags for me until I was ready to leave. The hotel lobby turns into a wonderful jazz lounge at night and it is such a soothing atmosphere. I did have a balcony room over looking Frenchman and it was spectacular! I thoroughly enjoyed being able to listen to the music from my room. It never went later than 1:30 am and that was perfect for me. The room itself was cozy and historic with beautiful artwork. The only downfall was not having hot water while taking a shower, but that is a minor issue. Overall, I cannot wait to visit this city again and would 100% stay at this hotel for another visit.

I booked this hotel for the location and availability of parking. It looked nice as we checked in and went to our room. Then things took a turn for the worse. The bed was firmer than the floor and very uncomfortable. We had to call the front desk to check the water heater every time we wanted a shower. It was still only warm and not hot. All rooms can hear the band in the bar all night. There were very good bands playing in the bar. The front desk staff were not familiar with local companies. As an example we asked if we could get a carriage ride from the hotel for sight seeing. They said I would need to look that up online. We will not stay here in our future visits to the area.

Truly one of the best locations to stay in, near amazing live music venues and walkable to sites/food etc. Note that the rooms could really use some updating and better cleaning service. I stayed here as part of a group of four. We were on a ground floor, two bedroom suite. Upon check-in, we noticed that the floors weren't very clean and there was food splatter on the walls. We told the receptionist and it was cleaned up. We stayed for 4 days, 3 nights but didn't have daily housekeeping. One of the beds was sunken in the middle, so not very comfortable. The sheets had some stains. A lot of brown dust hanging out from the ceiling vents. The safe wasn't attached to anything and could easily be removed (not very secure). One of the shelves in the cabinet below the bathroom sink was broken. Shower handle was a bit loose and made controlling the water temperature finicky. The remote control in the sitting area was missing the battery cover. Overall, we were underwhelmed by the accommodations, but we really appreciated the location and the staff were friendly. So, we could look past the cons.

The best part of this place is the live music in the lobby every night! It's in a great location for grown and sexy bar hopping. All the staff I met were very friendly and the rooms were nice. I stayed in the Esplanade suite. There are two bedrooms and a pull out couch, but a big disappointment was that there is only one bathroom. The hotel is beautiful and well maintained is located with walking distance from the French quarter with a Park in the front and bicycles station right in front of the hotel door. There's a bar in the hotel offering happy hours 4 to 7 with a good ambience and chance to dance if you are in the mood specially when you don't want to go far away. Initially we were in a room downstairs but we were transferred to a better room upstairs more quiet and spacious, Jeremy from front desk was great and look for mine well being since I was suffering from a terrible migraine, Jay and the lady from the front desk were awesome too. The only thing I found dissapointed was the breakfast and breakfast area, the silverware looked dirty, no hot stuff like eggs, ham or sausage, the coffee area looked dirty and we have to ask for coffee since nobody was taking care of the breakfast except the lady from the front desk, the batter to make waffles was so thick that was so difficult to get it on the cup and that will be nice to have more different kind of breads, pastries and croissant for breakfast, otherwise everything was great.

Fabulous hotel right off Frenchman Street with generously appointed rooms, nightly jazz and an impressive bar. Stayed here in late June. Our double queen room- 301- was awesome, spacious and well air conditioned with a really large bathroom and shower. There was plenty of room for four adults to be comfortable. We loved the historic building, the gorgeous art and comfortable beds. The amenities, from the huge shower to the water closet toilet area with a separate door and the sitting area in our room made our stay feel spacious and luxe. There is a lovely courtyard with a fountain and gated parking lot - they give you a key fob to open it -which was wonderfully convenient when we needed to drive out to the bayou for a swamp tour.m or over to St. Louis cemetery. The days are pretty quiet around the hotel but if you like jazz, the nights are INCREDIBLE! Honestly, we could have stayed in the lobby each night and just soaked up so much brilliant music and not even gone out. Each evening there was a stellar jazz performance in the lobby. Now, we were in room 301 in the main building and the show went on until midnight on Wednesday and Thursday and until 1:00 in the morning on Friday night, so be aware you will be hearing music until late at night at this hotel. But it’s great, so consider yourself lucky! The hotel bar is great too. I had looked at the bar menu online and found some drinks that looked exciting but when I went they said they weren’t serving those any longer. The bartender asked me what I liked. I said “Fruity and herbal. No gin, not spicy” and he said “Say less!” And made me a delicious drink that I took to the lobby and enjoyed while the BAM Jam rocked my socks off!! Such an asset to have a bartender that is a bit of a magician! Our one complaint is that, where room 301 was located, there was a food truck just below that shares the private parking lot with the Royal Frenchman. Each night this food truck had really loud, bass heavy music playing that thumped into our bedroom until 1 am on the weeknights and 2 am on Friday night. I don’t know that Royal Frenchman has any control over them, but it was frustrating and LOUD, so just be aware and bring earplugs! It was a 12 minute walk to Jackson Square from our hotel which was great. I’d absolutely stay here again, for the music, the bar and the comfy beds!!

On this 4th of July weekend we have had vacation trip to New Orleans with friends and family. We went there and looked around the hotel to stay at French Quarter area. We found this hotel with bar via a Google. We went to go and see before we made reservations. The hotel was so clean, nice and on the top of that the people who are running that hotel were so welcoming, humbled, and very cooperative. I forget the names but everyone whom we met at the hotel, so kind and helpful. Even this trip was not done with big plans but very luckyly we found this hotel with bar for great place to stay, thank you 😀. It was weekend so they have evening live performance by great musical band too. Overall I recommend this hotel for cleaniness, affordable price, very close to happening areas. Within walking distances lots of restaurants, bars, downtown, Mississippi River, great cafes. If you are traveling New Orleans, check this hotel to stay :) . You have to pay for parking but safe and easy parking too. And next morning they do serve good breakfast too 😀. Thank you everyone from that hotel for your great hospitality and cleanliness.
