This is a quante village with artist, craftsmen, restaurants, old time arcade, and a river to rock climb and jump.

I came here to relax and escape the hustle and bustle of urban life for a bit. Unfortunately this was not the place to do it. I was appalled by how much graffiti there was. It really ruins the tranquil experience to see garishly painted scribbles everywhere. This isn’t exactly Bansky quality either, by the way. It’s mostly the ugly, poorly done (and occasionally vulgar/derogatory) work of teenage boys trying to be edgy. It’s NOT just on the rocks, by the way, but on the trees too, which is really disgusting. If I knew it was going to be full of trash and graffiti, I would have just stayed in Philly. I’m giving it 2 stars because it IS pretty in terms of the natural beauty, and the trails are super easy, but I wouldn’t go back. There are plenty of other parks in the area that are actually well maintained.

I'm a very big fan of this place. Splendid natural setting with very unique rock formations and a pleasant swimming hole. Unique setting with the town near the creek. Hidden gem? One of the premier nature spots in SE PA imo. Check it out! Please don't make a mess and be respectful of families.

Quite the place. Huge boulders in the river. Lots of people on the rocks and in the water. But it's a large area so doesn't feel crowded. Trails on the mountain are long and quiet. The downside is all the graffiti on the rocks. Such a waste of beauty. But coloring books and draw there not on God's creation.

My family attempted to visit one of St. Peters hiking trails and didn't get far before turning around. Terribly kept area with awful graffiti covering every rock and tree. There was trash everywhere, rusty sheets of metal strewn about along the trails, no railing across a bridge (danger to children) and piles upon piles of Dog feces along the trail because people have absolutely Zero regard for others or nature. This place was trash. Very disappointing since my family drove an hour to get there with very high hopes.

Saint Peter was nowhere to be seen, I did find my arch nemesis Poison Ivy, however. Got some Saturday afternoon fitness training in the Hopewell woods. Tossed some boulders, moved a tree off of the hiking path, and even found some time to sunbathe on a boulder. The trails ain't no stroll through Wayne Manor’s gardens. A lot of rocks, so leave your bat-bike at home; good hiking boots are your best side-kick here. There are some huge boulders you can climb, much easier with a grapnel, of course. Great photo ops! I did not catch any in the act, but be on the lookout for Jokers who spray painted some of the rocks. Copious different routes you can go hiking. Multiple paths and off-path boulder formations. Beautiful streams! The water is as cold as Mr Freeze, so enter at your own risk. Whether you are looking for a leisurely stroll with Alfred for an adventurous training session with Robin, this is a good spot for both. Rock on, Gotham!

This "hiking" area is technically a section of Pennsylvania's State Game Land 43. During big game hunting seasons you need to wear at least 250 square inches of blaze orange and dogs are not allowed on game land during big game hunting seasons. There is a small placard on a tree near the entrance listing all regulations pertaining to the area.

I've been going here since I was a little kid and though the town has changed a lot over the years it's still a cool little place to visit. The trails and rocks have always been fun but unfortunately it gets so crowded especially since Covid. We used to have cookouts deep in the woods and just hang out there all day into the evening but we also took all our trash with us which doesn't seem to be the norm anymore.

Awesome place to experience nature at it's finest. Trails are fabulous place to hike. My only concern would be the giant boulders along the creek. A lot of people congregate around them and jump from rock to rock. I don't know who owns the land but it is a liability nightmare. It is very dangerous to allow the general public to run around on these rocks. I certainly did it as a kid not worried about the potential risk of injury, but seeing it as an adult I am amazed it is still permitted. On the other hand this country is supposed to allow freedom. So perhaps if there were signs posted explaining the potential risk that would be sufficient.

The shops and restaurant on the main road is pretty neat and you will always have fun there, but the real magic is the trails behind them. There are easy trails, harder trails, short trails, long trails, and just about every step along those trails there is something neat to see. You can also skip the trails and try jumping your own path through the giant rocks and boulders. There are questions down here that I can't really answer because every answer available applies. Easy, moderate, and hard trails. There are some that take you out and back, some that loop, some point to point, and depending on which one you take, you go anywhere from half and hour to as looong as you want. I am partial to the hoarse shoe trail. The entire trail is 134 miles, but I like to take it from st Pete to French creek and back (about 15 miles round trip)

Beware half the road fell down the cliff. There is a one lane portion of the road with a stop sign at either end, and I couldn't see the other end. So it's not possible to see if there is a car coming from the other end. They should make the single lane one way and reroute the other direction some other way around with signs.

The little shops are cute and have a lil winery that does tastings and a nice place for lunch by the river. Unfortunately this hidden gem has had more people visiting and with that more trash. Please carry out whatever you carry in! Most times I visit I end up cleaning up people's trash they left behind. Bring a trash bag with you as there are no trash cans. If you bring your dogs, kindly take their poop with you otherwise you're contaminating the river! A little common sense goes a long way! Respect this place so future generations can enjoy this place too!
