Food is good but management had no control of obnoxious, drunk, loud, and ghetto people who turn led the atmosphere into a disaster. We just took our food to go after having dealt with people yelling and cursing for over 60minutes. Fortunately, we had no kids with us to listen to all the yelling and cursing. Food was decent but people like that need to be told to be considerate of other guest or families. Will never go back.

A favorite when we are in the area. Nice location on the intercoastal. Fresh fish caught by local boats. Service impeccable. Good prices for a special evening out.

Our experience was very enjoyable, and service was quicker than expected. Our server Payton was wonderful as well; very friendly, helpful and unbelievable patient! However am the way to the restroom we did have a nasty run in with our food runner named Guy who found it necessary to make slick remarks about us “leaving” as our food came as if we where trying to skip out on the bill… before the food ever came to the table? Overall good experience with one rude egg!

Incredible Dining Experience at Salt Rock Grill Salt Rock Grill is a hidden gem that truly exceeded my expectations. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. Our server, Bails, was exceptional. Their knowledge of the menu and recommendations were spot on. The food was simply divine. Every dish we ordered was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The presentation was stunning, making each bite even more enjoyable. The prices were incredibly reasonable for the quality of food and service we received. The field kabob from the early dinner was exceptional! I highly recommend Salt Rock Grill to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. It's a must-visit!

The food was absolutely amazing the service was absolutely amazing as well the scenery was perfect I wish I could rate this place higher.

My family and a friend, who was visiting from another state went to this restaurant last night and we immediately realized the smell of smoke which was very irritating to our eyes and noses. Since it was out first time, we wanted to try 3-4 appetizers and 4 entrees. I want to mention that the “specialty food” that is blackened grouper avocado ($41) was only one small piece of grouper. I couldn’t believe my eyes. We felt robbed by paying this much to a one piece of grouper. Also, key west lobster basically had no flavor. Although, the atmosphere was “nicer”, the prices, the quality+the quantity of the food were below average. Very disappointed!

The Salt Rock Grill is what every restaurant should be. Their attention to detail and care about their job really shows. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. We had fresh mahi mahi and were blown away. Even if it’s a little hot outside, the view of the bay is worth it. Can’t say enough good things about the quality of the food, and I am hard to impress! We wanted to come back again the next day LOL

Vibes in this place are amazing. Great for catch up with friends and is also family friendly. I expected the food to be out of this world with the prices we paid. Beautiful views! I had the stuffed Mahi and enjoyed it but probably wouldn't return.

Salt Rock grill has a beautiful sunset view of the Bay. We celebrate birthdays anniversaries and many more events here. Every time we walk in we are greeted by Lincoln the GrillSmith. He's a great guy definitely stop by and say hello if he hasn't noticed that hello to you. #welovehere ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Our server, I believe his name was Mike, was so nice! The food was amazing. I got the rock the boat. It included fresh caught salmon, tuna and shrimp. Best salmon I’ve had in my life. This was a part of the early bird special (be say before 5:30 weekdays) which also included bread, salad, and dessert all for $20 which was very delicious as well. Definitely will be back if ever in the area again!

Over the top 10 + , we had an excellent waiter Samson. This establishment has been operating for 28 years, they have their own fishing boats and everything g is caught and served fresh daily. Every week they feature a different cheese cake .

The food was amazing but we ate in a room near a sushi bar which didn’t feel like the rest of the restaurant and didn’t really match the food and service. I would highly recommend asking to be seated in the main dining room. The ribeye was amazing according to my husband with the stone-fired grill. I was able to change my fish selection to grouper and it was a little overcooked. The drinks and potatoes (au gratin) were great!

Lobster bisque was delicious as was the lobster tail and fillet kabobs. Drinks were good too.

Just a really bad experience at this “legendary” beach spot from beginning to end. The place was really busy but that’s no excuse for rude, disrespectful treatment. Never again.

Had an amazing meal with my family and our waiter,Nelson,was absolutely the best!!

My family went two different times, two very different results. First time, we sat outside, great food, great service. Second time, sat inside. Was freezing, noise level so bad you couldn’t talk to anyone. Vidal was our server and he was honestly the most rudest server we have ever had. Too many problems to list. Asked for a manager through another employee and he told the young guy not to do it. This is not a cheap place to eat-each time it was about $130ish for 2 people. Nobody should be treated the way Vidal treated my family. He gives this restaurant a bad reputation.

Food and Service was awesome, the only issue was the AC, we over heard another server tell a table the AC had been struggling for the past 2 days and that it was being worked on, our server confirmed it! Having to wipe my forehead while eating wasn't what I went there for!

Always a must stop when in Clearwater , after a disappointing table mix up , we reserved well in advance, our two tables were separated . Our server Anthony did a wonderful job , we left with no regrets , the restaurant was very busy , he took care of us with attentive professional and a warm friendly service. I will always recommend the Salt Rock Grill.

We were sent to other restaurants that were more like bars that served seafood. This is far and above the best restaurant in the area. They have their own fishing fleet who catches their fish daily, so yes it’s truly fresh!!! We have salmon ceviche and tuna dip to start. Both excellent! We got yellow snapper seafood dish with shrimp and crab (superb!!!) and the black grouper Indian rocks style, very good also. We sat outside on the intracoastal and it was beautiful. We will definitely go again before we leave this area and try the ocean crusted fresh fish of the day and their sushi, Which won best sushi in Tampa area. You can’t go wrong!!!

Salt Rock is off our list. Food was boarderline ok. Service was beyond bad. Meals served at different times between our party. Had to request our meal side multiple times before a teensy salad was served. Incredibly disappointing for what you pay. As a side, cleanliness was VERY questionable particularly in the Ladies' room. Bleach goes a long way. After several years of patronage it was all around a very bad, expensive experience. It seems as if Frank has given up.

Hot hot & hot in here!!! The customers dress like they are going to the park, Ew! I get the outdoor bar with boaters. I support that! Yuk, good food but hot & sweaty & customer surroundings are Ew! Won’t rush back I live here I can go to multiple outstanding restaurants in the area

This is a great place for a date night in the Indian Rocks Beach area. The food, service, and atmosphere are all top-notch. A lot of restaurants in this area have great seafood, but not many have great steaks. This place has both, which made it a perfect spot for my wife (who likes seafood) and me (who prefers more terrestrial cuisine) to enjoy a night away from the kids. And the view from our table was fantastic.

When I call the restaurant, the host was very friendly and gave me an update on how busy it was on a Friday night and the wait for a table might be 60 minutes. To my surprise we went in and was greeted along with the other customers in the wait area and got an amazing table right on the water! Nica was our sever and she was great - she made for a great experience. They could use more fans outside but it didn't take away from dining. The restaurant is really nice inside and out. The food was equally delicious. It's priced right, fresh seafood and great sides that accompany the main course. I would recommend and glad we dined at SRG.

An excellent find in Indian Rocks Beach. This place has it's own fishing fleet and the sea bass that I had was amazing! Quick and friendly service, wide range of wine selection and good selection of beers. I will be back to get the tomahawk!

Higher end “beach restaurant”. The hostess was a little off but our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. The restaurant is fairly nice, but seems a little dated. The food was good, and better than anything nearby, but not as good as I expected for the price. My drink was pretty good, but a few in our party were not happy with theirs. There is a nice dock outside that you can drive your boat up to. Overall a good experience.

We made reservations to celebrate a birthday and got stuck in a cold temperature room. When we requested a different table we were told an hour wait but saw plenty of empty tables. We even decided to sit separate tables to make things easier but was refused and the manager came up and did not introduce himself as a manger rudely told us they cannot split the table. We requested the temperature to be lowered and were told the temperature cannot be lowered. The bathrooms were dirty and unkept. We ordered our normals but everything came out lukewarm and dry. Cocktails loaded with syrup. They switched our server (without notice) who was vey patience with us. The service stars are awarded for his service. The management and front staff needs to change. We went on a Monday and the restaurant was not full — I felt that they could have accommodated simple request especially for a birthday celebration. The manager did not come by to check on us. We had to walk through service station and bumped into servers to get to our seats so poor arrangement of seats. We have celebrated numerous time at the establishment and will not be retuning due to the rude management. We are disappointed because this was our place to take guests and celebrations.

Corey was our server and he was beyond spectacular. He was very informative on choices since it was our first time. We were a group of 11 and in most situations someone’s food is either cold or forgotten. The service was very good!

Upon arrival it smelled amazing! Went inside to bar for appetizers and they were not busy but the service was subpar. They were not accommodating. The food was alright compared to typical high end restaurants on the beach. You can do better than this and be treated better too. This area is paradise and you’d find happier employees anywhere else on this beach. These workers don’t like their job and you can tell

I had red snapper, very disappointed with quantity and quality. $4.50 for a glass of iced tea is ridiculous. Server was excellent. There were 8 of us and the bill was over 574.00. Dining room seating was so loud it was difficult to have conversation at our table. They will not see me again.

This place has changed quite a bit since our last visit in 2021. And not for the better. It used to be kind of elegant. But not anymore! I was surprised when I was able to get a reservation. That used to be quite difficult. But now I know why I had no trouble. (That should have been my first clue.) No more valet parking. Clue #2. There used to be tablecloths and flickering faux candles on the tables. The chairs used to be comfortable, too. All gone. Clue #3. We were very disappointed the last time we went. (July 28, 2024) It's kind of a trough now. The bare tables and extremely uncomfortable wooden chairs reminded me of a bare bones picnic table. Except we were inside. They've also packed in more tables. So now the upstairs room is incredibly loud! There's no atmosphere at all. (We were seated upstairs, as we had a party of 7.) We couldn't even get into our table without squeezing behind the other people's table. They really crowded that room. There are no ceiling tiles. It's just open to the rafters, and the AC ductwork is exposed, which contributes to the extreme noise level. As well, it's off the kitchen, and you have to walk through a waiter station to get to the room. More noise. (And the exposed ductwork is very dusty, which was gross AF! We half expected particles to blow into our food.) The menu was just OK. A bit overpriced. Service was ok. We were very disappointed. Probably would not return. There are simply too many superior restaurants in the area at the same price point. This place appeals to drunks apparently. There were many tables consuming far too much alcohol, which also contributed to the excessive noise. We wanted a nice steak and seafood place. This place has become little more than an overpriced sports bar.

What a great Steak House to have a family dinner while on a beach vacation! They have USDA Prime beef, cooked to perfection over a wood fire grill. There is a cozy bar inside the restaurant. They also have a Tiki Bar outside, with outdoor seating. The food, atmosphere, and friendly staff made this a wonderful experience. As we were leaving, I found out they also have a Sushi Room.

If you are reading this and want to eat here; make reservations! We had a larger group of 8 and they could only seat us outside without reservations, which wasn't ideal, but ended up working out well for us; we were in the shade and they had fans outside to help keep us cool, so it was quite enjoyable, especially with the view. To top it off, they were able to seat us right away, which was nice. The service was excellent; our waiter was very friendly, knowledgeable of the menu, and on top of everything. Our drinks kept flowing, and he was very friendly. We did have one issue with the wrong entrée, but he took care of right away and we were barely troubled at all. The food was really good, especially the coconut shrimp which were outstanding! Everyone was full and happy when we left, which is all you can ask for! We will certainly be back, we'll just make sure to make reservations next time! :)

Food was top tier, surf and turf was good and the fish spread is a bargain. Don’t let them seat you in the sushi room unless you need a large, private area.

Have been eating here for years and was just informed tonight that they no longer have draft beer. Very disappointed. How do you have a full bar in a nice restaurant with no beer on tap?

One of my favorite places on Treasure Island. Wine Wednesday is always fun. Good food, good service, just don't be in a hurry.

Would not recommend coming here for special occasions as they offer nothing not even a kind happy birthday. Food was good but the ladies bathroom was disgusting. Definitely did not live up to all the hype.

We had a wonderful family dinner while visiting on vacation. The food was delicious, lobster bisque, grouper and meatloaf were favorites! Anthony was an outstanding waiter! We look forward to coming back next time we visit the area.

Had to send my steak back to be cooked more. Sent sautéed onions back twice. Too raw. Made it clear I needed them cooked well to eat my steak, so that was annoying & my husband, who was celebrating his 60th bday basically ate his entree without me!

Food was average and service was terrible. Arrived for dinner at 4:15 pm, well before the dinner rush and found restaurant relatively empty, given it was a rainy day on a weekday. However, when requested to be seated at a table with a better view, our request we refused despite empty tables all over.

We loved everything about this spot! We had dinner with family to celebrate my husbands 40th earlier this month while vacationing in IRB. I had the swordfish and it was by far the most delicious swordfish I’ve ever had. Steaks were all cooked to perfection. My kids loved seeing the food being cooked on the open pit - and they thought the wine cellar was cool too :) Bravo to the entire staff…as someone who has worked in restaurants for almost 20 years, I was so impressed watching everyone operate. It is a large venue with a lot of moving parts, but it all ran so smoothly. Hope to dine at Salt Rock Grill again next time we are on vacation!

Although the service was excellent, the food wasn't as good as we were expecting for the price, and we were seated in the front of the restaurant where it was very loud and extremely difficult to have conversations. We had a party of 8 and there were other large parties around us, so it was very loud. I definitely would not sit there next time. Our waiter was awesome, and they automatically added a 20% gratuity to the bill, which was fine, but we would have left more if they didn't automatically add it in. The food was still good, just not amazing, I've been a couple times before and sat outside and near the water, a completely different experience and I remember the food being better, especially considering the price.

Have been here 7/8 times now when we visit Indian Shores , never dissapoints whether its steak or seafood . Last night we had a server called Megan who did an excellent job of looking after us , she has only been there a few weeks but Great Job Megan , and Salt Rock we will be back

Mixed Experience at Salt Rock Grilled !!! We recently dined at Salt Rock Grilled while on vacation from Texas, and had a mixed experience. Many people recommended this place to us, and we were excited to try it out. The food was excellent—we ordered the chef’s menu recommended for the day, and every dish was superb. The flavors were outstanding and the presentation was top-notch. However, the service was really bad. The staff was rude and made us feel like they wanted us to leave after 8 PM. The lady who answers the phone was also very rude, which added to the poor customer service experience. It’s sad because Salt Rock Grilled is a beautiful local place with a lot of potential. Unfortunately, the service and the parking situation detract from the overall experience. The parking is bad and takes a lot of time to find a spot, which is not fair for such an expensive place. Overall, while the food is excellent, the rude service and parking issues make it hard to fully enjoy Salt Rock Grilled. It’s a shame because the restaurant itself is lovely.

We frequently bring out of towns guests to Salt Rock. The food is great, the drinks are not watered down, the place is very clean, and the water front atmosphere adds to all the positives. The manager, Jesus Figueroa, is the greatest, friendly and adds to the efficiency. Our waitress this time was Nica. She was so pleasant, and quick with our service. If I could give 6 Stars, I would!

We have been going to Salt Rock for a few years, usually for their early bird special. We usually sit at the bar, and the bar tenders are great. However, we have sat in the dining room and at the high tops, and the early bird was available throughout the restaurant. Last time we went we were told by the hostess we could only get the early bird at the bar, and we had to wait to be seated at the high tops. The bar tender seemed not to be aware of this policy change and told us we could sit at the high tops, as usual. We preceded to sit at a high top, as the bar was full, and someone who works there, not sure if he was a waiter, starting yelling at us that we could only sit at the bar, and not the high tops. I was confused, and was going to ask him if the policies have changed, as they clearly did, and the bar tender wasn't aware, but this guy was so loud and aggressive. my wife suggested we just leave. He actually started yelling at us - very weird. The net is we change our plans and went to the Broke and Board, and had a great meal. So no real damage done!

Fantastic food! Best coconut shrimp. Everything was really good and everyone at the table enjoyed their food. We didn’t have to wait either which was amazing since we had 8 and it was 6:30!

Phenomenal food. Prices bit high, but truly get what pay for. Steak and seafood, both killer. If in the area, make it a point to do at least once.

Our food & service was wonderful. The unfortunate part of being a patron in this fine dining establishment was looking around & seeing 1/2 dozen men (clearly not gentlemen) wearing baseball hats in the main dining room. Why is management not correcting this? Such horrific manners. I've been loyal here for years, but this really turned me off. It's one thing if these men were not raised right & quite another that management did NOT correct the situation. Do Better Salt Rock!

We had an incredible dining experience at Salt Rock Grill! Despite not having reservations, they graciously accommodated us with a beautiful outside view of the water. The food was absolutely amazing—from the delectable mashed potatoes to the exquisite surf n turf dinner, every bite was perfect. My kids were thrilled with their surf and turf options and the fantastic casino clams. The exceptional service and delicious food made it well worth the extra money. We highly recommend Salt Rock Grill for a memorable meal with outstanding service!

If you do not have a ride share to get here, please make sure you do not come during normal dining hours. I made my reservation a month in advance and we literally could not dine here because there is no parking. There is no valet either to offset the lack of parking and we came during “off season”. Spent 35 minutes circling the lots before giving up. Was even willing to pay for parking but again, at dinner time, there was nothing available.

Just an OK experience: Food was not up to par with expectations, or maybe my expectations were set too high. Small portions, bland food, calamari swimming in an overly sweet sauce, the same with the tuna appetizer. Our server was attentive and friendly. Somewhat disappointed.

This use to be a table cloth upscale restaurant with good food and service. Now it's just another mediocre beach tourist spot. No dress code,(so people were there in cut offs and flip flops)no upscale service. Food was edible, but nothing great. Prices were very high for the quality of food and service. Very disappointing.

We had a very pleasant dining experience. The food was delicious and server Dylan gave exceptional service! We highly recommend this restaurant!

Always The Best Food, Service & Atmosphere. We live north of Orlando now, but always a treat to make it to Salt Rock.

We happened upon the “early bird” menu because it was on Sunday right when they opened at noon. Already a value menu, so we upgraded our sides to the shareables for only $7 more & it was so worth it! Starting with the bacon wrapped scallops we saw in the case on the way in was a bonus. We’ve been here before & had steaks. They are out of this world good. Twice Rocked Potatoes also magnificent. Pro tip: ask for a snifter of Tuaca to pour over the apple cobbler a la mode - & in your double espresso. Game changer!

According to my husband, he had the best filet mignon ever:) The grilled grooper and tina sashimi were good, too. It was a bit long to wait for the food, but we had a very friendly waiter, so we had a good time here. Thank you.

We loved this place so much, we ate there again on our vacation. Awesome food, great atmosphere, and TOP NOTCH service. If you're lucky enough to get Sampson as your server, you won't regret it. Amazing experience both times!

Amazing food and service as always

Our fish and lobster were way way overcooked to the point of rubbery. Apps were pretty good and meatloaf was very good.

My husband and I went to Salt Rock for date night. The service was incredible!! Adam was super attentive, he showed great pride in his craft. He came to our table several times, making sure we were taken care of. He was personable and made our evening enjoyable. The food and drinks were amazing! We both had one of the specials for dinner. Fresh tasting and delicious. The cocktails were also mixed to perfection. Cheers to Adam and all the staff behind the scene for making Salt Rock Grill one of our favorite places to eat.

Local to the area, I love this place. Food and service are always top notch. Make sure to reserve a table because they do get busy! Rightfully so, great time every time.

The service and atmosphere are great. I ordered the meatloaf and it was probably the worst meatloaf I have ever had. It was super salty and oniony. Furthermore, the sauce on it which I assume was ketchup was very sweet. I brought it home and tried to eat it again when I was very hungry but it still didn’t taste good. Too bad because we loved the service.

We dined here on 6/29 and had a great experience with Nelson and great food. We thought we would return with the entire family on 7/6. Boy was that a huge mistake. The hostess from the beginning was not smiling and rude about the wait time (we didn't mind to wait). After an hour and a half we got a table (not horrible but there were a bunch of empty tables) After patiently waiting at the bar (5 stars for the bartender) we finally order our food. The server we only saw twice and our steak and potatoes were cold. Extremely disappointed in our second visit doubt we will return as we are in the area multiple times a year.

Meh, dropped $300 for 6 people(two apps and entrees for all). Portions were small and food was very underwhelming. Calamari was pretty good buts that's all. Waiter was cool and he was even agitated by the 4 menus per person that were cumbersome and confusing to read. Maybe I just went on a bad day idk. Definitely not worth the hype.
