Bartender made tasteless Margherita but gave me a replacement drink. Portions were very generous.

One of our favorite Bradenton restaurants. Family owned. Homemade pasta and sauces. Live music some nights. We come here a lot. Have never had a bad meal.

Tonight Our church of 28 gathered at Scarpinos. Ahead of our reservation Sam our server called me to insure our tables and accommodations were in order. Going forward our tables were set up and ready at our request. We were seated quickly and drinks were immediate. Our server Sam a true professional took our order and our meals were delivered to 28 people within 5 minutes.All orders were received were exactly what we ordered. Excellent service , food excellent only issue food was so wonderful couple of our folks were “yum and more yum” kinda made us giggle. Kinda a beautiful problem to have. Thank you so much Sam you made a wonderful experience for us and thank you to the chef our food was so wonderful 😎

We were very well attended by Tom Daniel. The food is fresh and very tasty, the environment is super pleasant and we intend to return more times.

We dined here tonight and had such a great time. The atmosphere and food was excellent. The staff and especially Daniel made our experience so memorable. If you haven’t dined here lately you should. It’s one of the true authentic Italian places around. We’ll definitely be back.

Updating my review from 2021 after visiting on September 3rd, 2024 to 2 stars from my original 5. My family and I have been coming to Scarpino’s for years. It was always good. It was a must visit anytime we were in Florida, and we would drive 2-3 hours to eat there. Now it isn’t, and let me explain why. My party of 4 came on 9/3/24 -Tuesday which is $1 meatball night. Usually this is the first of two visits during our yearly trip to Sarasota. We knew it was under new ownership and were aware Rocco and his family sold and went back to Italy, but we wanted to try the food anyways based upon social media postings. The first thing I noticed was that it was $1 meatball night, and the place was empty. Absolutely gorgeous after the remodel, but absolutely empty. It’s 6 PM on a Tuesday, and in years past, we’d have waited to get a table. We got seated promptly, and our drink order was taken, along with our appetizer order of Zucchini sticks. These were quite good, and were fresh out of the deep fryer. Then my house salad came, and I found that the house creamy Italian while still good, was not the version I remembered from previous visits. The Garlic Knots were ok, but didn’t seem as fresh as they had been in years past. I remember getting them straight from the oven when they were busy, and would have to wait, but it was worth it. Then our entrees came out. My wife’s spaghetti and meatballs lacked sauce, and it appeared that the spaghetti noodles were no longer homemade. It had almost no sauce at all, so she asked for more sauce which was brought out quickly. Her side order of meatballs was fully cooked but cold as was my 4 meatballs. It’s $1 meatball night, and these things should have been piping hot, but they were not. My fettuccini alfredo with sausage was hot, but I’m not sure if it was microwaved or not, because my sauce was broke. I told our waitress that the alfredo sauce was broke in my dish. She looked at me and shrugged her shoulders, and started to walk off. I stopped her and then asked for more alfredo to salvage my dish. We were offered dessert which we declined, so she quickly brought out a Toast payment machine and told us to just go ahead and pay the total by card. No printed check. When I asked for an itemized check as I wasn't going to blindly pay, she was not amused but returned with one anyways. To which I discovered I was charged for the extra sauces to salvage their dishes. As most of the clientele of this restaurant in years past are older/retired, this new method of payment is definitely scaring off the older crowd. All of this occurred while I assume the owner or night manager, wondered aimlessly around the restaurant glaring at everybody there. He never once checked on any table, even after we told the waitress about problems with the food. Sadly, this will be our last visit to this restaurant after years and years of enjoyment.

Vacation at Anna Maria every year. Always look forward to eating several times a week at Scarpinos. Unfortunately, the new owner may have bought Frank and Rocco's recipes, but the execution of those recipes is poorly done. Garlic knots are not the same, menu is half of what it used to be and the service was lackluster. Server could have cared less about serving. The building might be shinier than before but the soul is no longer in food.

Managing partner Daniel Sanchez is absolutely welcoming and a top professional. He came from NY — and in Mexico, he was VP of The Melting Pot! And then, i had their delicious chicken marsala with one of the most delicious sauces in town —-all the way to Sarasota and Tampa Bay! Come try their pasta… you must!

The food is AMAZING here. My husband and I got the cacio e pepe pasta, which is the biggest portion ever (definitely taking leftovers) and a great price for what it is. The filet is served with pesto sauce and jam, which was the most amazing unexpected combination! It was cooked perfectly, and served with potatoes and broccoli. The drinks came so fast, delish, and SO inexpensive. This has easily become one of our favorite places. Come here, you won’t be disappointed!!

I had heard good things about Scarpino's and went there as a last-minute option with family in town. We had a wonderful time, great food and service!

We had a great meal and loved the updated decor. Live music was outstanding. Mussels delicious as was the scampi. Very happy with this experience as we had seen a bad review recently commenting in new management. We will definitely be going back.

Delicious food, large portions and reasonable prices. You must try their amazing desserts straight from Italy! New owner is family oriented and has lots of previous restaurant experience. The staff were friendly, the service was quick (shout out to Cadence) and the establishment was clean. Full bar with soon to be happy hour specials. Amazing experience! I will definitely be back.

Literally the BEST pizza in Bradenton and Sarasota! Caden was our server and She was super helpful explaining the different kinds of pizzas. And we couldn’t decide what dessert to have so we ended up getting 2 delicious desserts. Last week I had their carbonara and it was out of this world too. You will never go away hungry at Scarpinos.

We orderd garlic knots and antipasto takeout.Antipasto was ok the garlic knots were the worst ever ,definitely frozen and microwaved . I don't know why they changed they use to be awesome now they are terrible more like chewy biscuits and dont even look like knots .

I love Italian food, so Scarpono's has become a favorite! Great staff, delicious, well-made food, with live entertainment on occasion.

Had THE BEST experience and food! Definitely will be going back! We can’t stop raving about this place! Thank you to our server (I’m so sad I forgot her name) but she helped us celebrate our daughters 21st birthday and brought her out a very DELICIOUS dessert with a cute, “short” song! I brought my dad here last night and Scarpino's didn't disappoint. New owner, new dining area and a newly refreshed menu means a wonderful homecooked Italian meal.

We dined in. The new look is great! Samgreeted us and showed us to our table. She took wonderful care of us. We had calamari for an appetizer, and the Quatro Scaglioni pizza for lunch. Both were excellent! I am anxious to try their Marsala! We'll definitely be back!

It was Saturday night so of course busy, however they need to do something about sound proofing, it was way to loud in there. So hard to talk to the others in your party. Service was okay. Food was rather bland, much better once I salted it. Had to ask for extra sauce, didn't have enough. Last was disappointed you don't get salad or soup with your order.

Food is absolutely is amazing here! We love coming during lunch the portion sizes here are fantastic. We have found our new favorite Italian restaurant. The atmosphere is also great and service, a big shout out to Andres making our lunch that much more special. Give that man a raise 😁 We will be back soon!

I had a wonderful dining experience here today with Cadence as my server. She was very friendly and attentive to my dining needs. The food came out fresh and delicious. Definitely a 10/10 experience.

Amendment to previous review: The GM responded to my review and invited my husband and I to come back and try them again. We went this evening and they managed to turn a bad experience completely around. From the greeting and seating to the server and the kitchen, everything was wonderful. We shared the calamari which was lightly battered and served with their marinara, which in itself is delicious. My husband had the lasagna, made from scratch and served piping hot and was plentiful as well as very tasty. I had the chicken Francaise and it was a perfect combination of lemon and capers over chicken breast that was in an egg batter and so moist it melted in your mouth. Thank you Daniel and team for a wonderful dining experience! We WILL be back and with friends ☺ My husband and I and a friend from out of town went here tonight. We had been pretty regular a few years ago however had a few not very good experiences with take out and dine in so we no longer frequented the restaurant. Our friend from out of town wanted to go as he has been there on a previous trip. I made reservations, we got there a bit early so couldn't be seated till our time, which was understandable and completely acceptable. My friend and I need to be gluten free due to stomach issues so I had called to see if they had gluten free options available, which they did. I ordered chicken marsala which I thought may have flour and I would chance it and ordered gluten free pasta. My meal came and the chicken had been breaded and fried which I didn't expect and it was also piccatta NOT marsala. I told the young lady that delivered it that it was incorrect thinking she grabbed the wrong dish and I did not touch it. She took it back to the Kitchen and brought me back the same dish and told me it was what I ordered, meaning it was the marsala. Marsala has mushrooms, there were no mushrooms, piccatta has capers there WERE capers. I waited to see my server in the vicinity so I could ask her for my meal, in the meantime my dining partners were uncomfortable eating without me. I saw the server at the host station so I went over and had her come to the table and pointed out my plate she confirmed that indeed it was piccatta not marsala. She took the plate to the Kitchen and came back to tell me they were "fixing it". She returned with the same dish that they had added marsala sauce to the original dish, as it still had capers. I now had a chicken ( breaded and fried) marsala with cream (ok maybe) AND piccatta WITH CREAM ( um that should be a hard NO) and really not sure if gluten free pasta. I ate this as I was hungry. When I pointed out to the server what the kitchen had done she was clearly appalled and said she would take it off the bill. So in the end the server made it right. Had I had a true celiac or serious gluten allergy I would probably feel worse than I do right now. Guess there is an issue with the kitchen and training on the food runners part of the operation there. They seem to be trying to recreate themselves but still have some work to do.

Our visit was very nice, great service by our waitress Cathy G, our entire dinner was great & the music was fantastic! Very nice atmosphere! We'll be back, for sure!

My partner and I went to dinner here on Friday. We hadn't tried this place before. We were able to be sat without a wait when we arrived at 6. The menu was clear and offered a good selection. I ate the braised short ribs. The flavor was good but the pan fry was too much making them dry. My partner had the spaghetti with meatballs and raved about it. Our service was slow and a bit exaggerated between table checks but we left satisfied. My only recommendation is if you have any loud noise sensory issues this ISN'T the place for you. There was a nice atmosphere but the noise from the lanai mixed with noise from the restaurant was a bit overwhelming. All in all we had a good time, just needed some Tylenol for our headaches when we left. Side note the caprese salad and garlic rolls are amazing.

I used to *LOVE* their Alfredo sauce, but I ordered take out recently and I either got the wrong sauce, or they’ve drastically changed the recipe. It used to be thick and creamy, but what I got was thin/watery, didn’t really taste like a cheesy Alfredo, and had tons of green something (oregano?) in the sauce. I know they changed owners so not sure if they have new recipes, but I was pretty disappointed. Hope the old Alfredo sauce comes back!

We have been going to Scarpino’s for over 2 years but not so much lately and after tonight never again! To start with $5 draft Yuengling was flat and now the food, penne with portobello and sausage in a creamy cheese sauce was watery bland sauce with a few pieces of finely chopped mushroom and a few slices of sausage. Chicken piccata was also watery and the chicken was overcooked like eating a rubber chicken and the broccoli was overcooked and soggy!! We couldn’t even eat 1/4 of the food …..good luck but I personally don’t think you will last very long

I'm not one to post a negative review but this was absolutely the worst Italian food my fiance and I have ever had and we just spent 80 bucks one pizza pasta and garlic knots (bread with garlic sauce on the side...) and it is all flavorless.. we ended up adding more of our stuff at home to make it taste better.. very disappointed.

Scarpino’s is quickly becoming our family’s favorite spot for Italian! The stromboli was perfectly baked, with a crispy exterior and a savory, flavorful filling. The caprese salad was fresh and vibrant, with ripe tomatoes, creamy mozzarella, and just the right amount of basil and balsamic drizzle. To top it all off, the tiramisu was heavenly—light, creamy, and with a perfect balance of coffee and cocoa flavors. I highly recommend this place for anyone craving authentic Italian cuisine. We will definitely be returning!

I don’t know how they do it, but the food and experience gets even better every time we go! Service is wonderful—attentive without hovering. Food is DELICIOUS. Pricing is very reasonable. And the environment is perfect for a date night, family meal, or get together with friends or colleagues.

Everything was delicious from beginning to end. Isar salad was fabulous. Meatballs were amazing. Could not say enough for a very positive review will be back again.

The music is WAY too loud I don’t like the loud noise when I walk in. It’s like really loud it’s good music but it’s just way too loud. I like to have a nice comfortable quiet dinner. I don’t wanna have to sit and scream and yell to have a conversation. And Jennifer, the hostess at the door she is fantastic and she takes care of me well, thank you so much @the owner it doesn’t matter WHERE you sit it’s to LOUD

Absolutely out of this world! The drive was an hour and a half, but it was beyond worth it! Our server, Rola, was the nicest person and so fun! She was so efficient and offered amazing customer service! 5 stars! Also, Daniel, aka blue shirt man, was just incredible. We loved every time he came to our table, and he even helped make our food! Charlene (I hope I spelled that right) talked to us for a second, and I think my grandma twisted her wrist... um... is she okay? But she was also a joy to talk to! ALSO, the hostess was extremely efficient, and I was very impressed... I also am a host, so that added to my awe for her speed since I can be a little... clumsy... Not to mention, the food was out of this world... I think I already said that... either way! It was good, very dedicated staff, and I would 100% recommend if you're in the area and have the money! Bout to faint from a food coma ;-; Anyway... go there... NOW >:(

An excellent place to great Italian cuisine.

Newly renovated with a more modern vibe with Italian accents. The food was delicious along with the complimentary garlic knots. Our server Katy was top notch. She was friendly and attentive which made our dining experience even better. The only suggestion I would recommend is to include a complimentary salad with the meal similar to Carrabba's and the Olive Garden which include both bread and salad with the meal. But again, a fine dining experience.

Food is just as good as it always has been. Great meatballs, garlic knots are delicious and entrees are excellent. Our fave server, Charlene, is a familiar, friendly face amongst the new staff and renovated interior. The updated interior is fresh and clean but a few extra tables have been added in a bit of an odd, tight layout. The only complaint about this place is the acoustics. A small crowd creates a very noisy atmosphere that can be unpleasant.

My daughter and I had the chicken Alfredo and the vodka spaghetti. AJ took care of us. Best service ever!

Great place to get some food and to relax

Food is so good. Service is great. New look is fantastic. They got a little pricey on the food though with the revamp but servings are very large.

This place is great! The hostess greeted us with a smile and showed us to our table in the somewhat brightly lit dining room. This isn’t the usually dimly lit Italian restaurant. The tables have linen napkins and the menu is extensive with all of the Italian favorites. Our server was AJ and he was friendly, professional, and attentive. We are definitely asking for him on our next visit. We had the Italian Wedding Soup which was very nice. For dinner we had the Cicca pizza which was pepperoni, sausage, onion, and oregano. Delicious, a little oily because of the pepperoni but worth it. This place is a hidden treasure in Bayshore Gardens. The prices are very reasonable too! One more thing- garlic knots are served with every meal. Yum-O

Our server A.J. was great, very patient in training a new server who was doing great... but the food! I've been going to this Target forever and never thought about going to this place before my GF suggested it. We've been twice now and everything is awesome. I recommend the pizza. All the ingredients are so fresh though you can't go wrong no matter what's on your mind.

Ok, kicking ourselves for not discovering this place sooner! This is top notch Italian dining! Coming from the Nort east originally, some of the best Italian eateries, were small Mom n Pop places. So, we were so excited to see that Scarpino's lived up to those expectations. First off, come hungry! You will be stuffed with plenty to take home. Even the salads are enormous. We recommend the garlic knots, the pizza, the meatballs and the Eggplant rotini, it was a savory piece of heaven. Everything seemed so fresh and Sam ,our server was super friendly. We will be back. And you MUST get the tableside Alredo ! It's for 2( but more like for 4) such a great feast for the eyes n stomach!

Had a great dinner at Scarpino’s last night. Eggplant Parm with fettuccini was very good and my wife enjoyed the Chicken parm, The garlic knots were great. Service from Joshua was outstanding. A true professional who knew the answers and handled every request promptly and efficiently. Thank you Joshua!

This is the best Italian food I have found in Florida. Great place , great food and reasonably priced. The owner was eating with his family and took the time to stop bye our table to check on us. This was our second visit of many to come, the staff was very good making sure we had everything we needed.
