their business hours aren’t accurate. wasted my time trying to visit this bakery today and was greeted by a closed sign despite it being before 5pm.

10/10! We had a last minute request for 165 custom branded cookies that Catherine and Southern Home Bakery were able to accommodate with a weeks notice. The cookies were delivered on-time, and the client was so happy. The cookies turned out perfect. Catherine and her team were so helpful, sweet, communicative, and did a fabulous job.

Southern Home Bakery cookies are incredible and taste perfect. Typically, decorative cookies can have a good cookie, but the decorative topping can be hard and/or tasteless (just good to look at). The cookies from Southern Home Bakery are both delicious throughout the whole bite, and the top icing has the perfect consistency and played well with taste and texture with the cookie! Bravo from a cookie fan! 🍪 😄🙌 The staff are friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend this place or their other location in Downtown Winter Park!

I have ordered several custom orders through Southern Home Bakery as well as pop in for an occasional cookie and have never had a poor experience. Everyone that has attended me has always been super sweet and my custom orders were perfect each time. And on top of that their sugar cookies are soooo tasty! Literally nothing will ever top them!

We’ve ordered several theme boxes from Southern Home Bakery and always loved them! The most delicious sugar cookies!! We just ordered our first custom order - Taylor Swift for a 13th birthday party. I sent one inspiration photo to their marketing manager, Brooke. What arrived in the mail was pure perfection! The attention to detail in the cookies and creativity were way beyond my expectation. I ordered custom lemon cookies for a bridal shower this weekend. I’m not local, but reached out to them via email and they were always quick to respond, and very friendly. Just had a friend pick them up and they are gorgeous!!! We haven’t even tried them yet as the shower is tomorrow but they look amazing! The bride and 2 others in the group have nut allergies and the staff at southern home bakery was super great at explaining that the sugar cookies are made in a separate area and assured me they’d be safe. Thanks again, can’t wait for the guests and bride to see them ❤️

We had Southern Home Bakery make custom cookies with our logo for our annual Orlando Rowing Association + Edgewater Crew Boathouse Benefit (Edgewater High School Rowing Team). The theme was "Row-Down" so we ordered some cowboy hat cookies too. The cookies were a hit and a really nice touch to have our logo on them. Thank you Catherine and co!

I ordered several dozen baby girl cookies for a surprise baby announcement at a Disney resort with 35 family members. Southern Home Bakery was super helpful with the planning weeks ahead of time, and in arranging for delivery to our resort to make sure they were there in time for our arrival. The cookies were all we could have hoped for - adorable, insanely delicious, individually wrapped with pink bows - truly perfect. I am not from Florida and did not have personal knowledge of this shop but I am so happy I used them - I wish they had a location in Carmel, Indiana! I will keep their contact info for any future celebrations when in Orlando in the future! (In all the excitement of announcing our first grandbaby and opening the champagne (for the non-pregnant adults :) I did not get any photos from our celebration but they looked just like the photos on the bakery's site.)

I had Elmo cookies made for my kids’ birthday party. They turned out absolutely perfect looking and delicious. The kids loved them! I would 100% recommend this place for an event or to stop in for a treat!

I have ordered many, many cookies from SHB, both for local delivery, as well as shipping across the US & they have always arrived in perfect condition. After posting on social media that they had made cookies for the Taylor Swift concert, I asked if they would have "in store" to which they said "yes." So myself and friends went to pick them up. The very sweet cashier said that they didn't have them until possibly next week and that I could order them ahead of time. Since the concerts are this weekend, that didn't make sense. She also said that their cookie posts aren't available in store that they are mostly to generate interest on social media. If you like something you need to order ahead of time. She then said that they might have some tomorrow. Which confused me because originally it was "next week." I wanted to get a definite answer so the owner came out and when I questioned her about when/if they would be available she also stated it was mostly just for social media. I told her that we had been there before (about 8 months ago) and they didn't have ANY cookies in store and she said "this conversation is not productive." The cookies are absolutely BEAUTIFUL but they taste dry and are unflavorful. Unfortunately this small business just isn't interested in selling cookies or making them delicious, its just a cute little hobby

Ordered cookies for my god daughters first birthday far in advance. The hurricane was coming and Fedex didn’t pick up packages on Wednesday when it was supposed to ship. Was told they would overnight the cookies on Friday to get them there Saturday morning (the party was Sunday). The cookies never arrived! Spent all that money on cookies for her birthday for them to never even arrive, it’s Sunday and still no cookies! Don’t order any cookies for shipping out of state! What a waste of money

We were doing a Wine Walk and the store was participating and decided to check it out. We were not only greeted with a nice cocktail sample but the girl (not sure if she was the owner) that greeted us was nice, friendly, attentive and more than happy to answer any questions. The store is cute and they mostly focus in custom orders but there is a counter with cookies that you can buy from. We got the sugar cookies and the seasonal pumpkin spice and that was my favorite! It was soft, not overly sweet and you could taste both the pumpkin and delicious spices. Stop for sure and see the gorgeous cookies and satisfy a sweet tooth :)

Thank you SHB for creating beautiful AND DELICIOUS cookies for our Grand Opening Party last month! We purchased these cookies to showcase our logo, and of course they were executed perfectly. I didn't expect them to be very tasty...custom cookies are often dry and brittle. NOT these cookies...a month after our party I'm still getting clients and friends complimenting the cookies. They were the perfect texture, perfect flavor. My godson even texted me a few days after the party to see if we had any leftovers he could have. The cookies were SOOOOO GOOD! Couldn't recommend Southern Home Bakery more! I regularly do walks around Downtown and College Park and will usually pop in for a cookie when I'm done. The girls there are always super welcoming and the cookies are delicious. If you ever go in and they have the M&M cookies available, buy one. Perfectly soft and just the right amount of M&Ms. Big shout out to the girl working the front in the Han Solo dress. I came in one day and they were out of the Pumpkin Spice cookies in the front but she was able to grab a few freshly baked ones for me. Thanks again!

The cutest cookies for our baby shower favors! So responsive and quick turnaround. They really catered to what we wanted, the perfect color combos. Not only did they look good, they tasted amazing. We received so many compliments.

I ordered cookies for a baby shower. From the first inquiry I sent to the final product, everything was perfect. I provided details and photos to help show what I was after. The theme was woodland creatures and we ordered fox, raccoon, deer, and "baby" cookies. The communication responses were always prompt and polite. It smelled so good when we walked in the door to pick them up. And the cookies were adorable. They were also delicious. I will definitely recommend this bakery to anyone.

I’m giving 5 stars to this bakery bc there was a mix up re: an important order for our son, and the manner in which their staff responded was such a breath of fresh air. While I was very disappointed, the two team members I dealt with handled the situation like professionals and refunded my order(s). But it’s honestly not about the refund, it was the way they spoke and how they took immediate responsibility for the situation, even though the two of them were not to blame. Please support small businesses - especially this one! No one is perfect, but how we all respond is what matters and I’ll def continue to be a customer! I appreciate their kindness and these are the types of businesses we need more of!

Best sugar cookies I've ever tried.

This was a surprise find that we discovered after visiting St Nick’s Holiday Shoppe next door. We walked in and the cookies displayed in the cases are works of art cut out cookies themed for the Fall, Christmas and just for fun. All of the cut outs are individually wrapped in clear packaging. These are hand decorated and artist quality yet still priced to easily afford. They also had several different flavors of non cut outs and today we tried pumpkin cookies, snickerdoodles and three different cot out cookies. The staff if friendly and helpful and we recommend this as a great place to visit
