Glad he's open again. Great food!

Couldn’t find the place. We went to the address for two days but we couldn’t anything, it was incorrect! Tried calling but never got an answer

The food is still excellent. However, it's to bad they are food truck only now.

Never answers phone calls and can’t find them when they are open. Is this still a business?

The original restaurant is gone, so he's operating out of a food truck for now but the it's easily a 10/10. The food tasted amazing, they gave a good quantity, and decent options for a truck. We got the channa masala and chicken tikka, and were blown away by the strong flavors! Check his Facebook to see where the truck is, because it's well worth a visit! For the price (about $20-22 per bowl) I haven't found much better in Alaska. There's no seating, but we were able to take it back abour 15 minutes to our hotel and still eat it fresh.

My husband and I tried Spice it up for the very first time and it was absolutely delicious. I called it in and it was ready in roughly 15mins. Service was great! Definitely will be back in the future to try different dishes that they offer. Update: it’s now 2024 and this gentleman went through losing his business due to a fire and still came out on top close to a year later. We went and supported his return and it was just as good as we remember. The employees were quick yet thorough and the wait wasn’t terrible either.

Delicious, flavorful food that is refreshingly different from the usual options in Fairbanks. The staff are usually friendly, fast, and generous with the portions. My only complaint is that the ever-rising prices have gotten out of hand so I don't eat here as often anymore.

The best food in Fairbanks. Definitely top 5 places to eat at when visiting. The flavors are all perfect with a very consistent manner to them. I just absolutely love it.

It is a order at the counter place with a small selection of 9 entrees, naan bread and some kind of special drink. They have a variety of bottled drinks. Food was tasty and eaten at tables with no frills, plastic utensils etc. Friendly staff, and the place looks clean.

Went there today. The food was delicious and the staff super friendly. The owner even came over.and he.was super nice to us. I definitely will be going back. And I love curry chicken and this is the best I ever.had.

Very simple but well run restaurant with Indian food and gyros. Their spicy foods are not as strong as other Indian restaurants, but they are tasty and the portions are good.

Excellent service, helpful and friendly. The place is more Indian than Mediterranean with options like butter chicken, curry chicken (tried this, it was okay), and chana masala. Will give samples to help you decide. It's in a building but the food service and presentation is more like street/fast food and pricy for what you're getting (I paid $18+ tips for lamb gyro on rice). The difference between a dine in order and eating in is if you're getting a tray or getting a bag. The white cucumber and the red "spicy" (not very spicy) sauce are both tasty and was the best part of my dinner. I got the lamb gyro before I realised it was cubed and kept warm in a buffet server. Can you even call it lamb gyro without a rotisserie? It's literally in the name. That being said, the lamb has a good flavor. It doesn't have that crisp edge and can be a bit oily but is good over rice. The rice is kept warm in what looks like a large rice cooker. Is yellow, but otherwise unremarkable. It's a little dry but because of that does a really good job at soaking up the juices and sauces and doesn't take away from the main course.

The food is great here. It's a bit expensive for the serving size but delicious.

The Gyro was pretty good, but the meat was more “cubed” then shaved from a traditional Lamb Gyro spit. I’d eat here again. The staff was friendly

A blast of flavors and large portions made this place top on my favorites list of best casual restaurants! The owner is very friendly and helpful. He asked how everything was and made sure I was satisfied. Be sure to try the Naan and mango lassi with your meal!

Very plain atmosphere with very good food. I had the chicken gyro. Creamy, spicy on naan bread. Very satisfying. They do a big take-out business too.

I got the lamb it was amazing very good. The bread tortilla that it was wrapped in was so soft and chewy. The naan bread is harder and thin but good still! The somosas we're also super good bigger than I'm used to. People are very nice.

great flavor, good portions, delicious combination of flavor and seasoning, everything blends together pretty well and I personally enjoyed the Lamb gyro and The naandwich . the Lassi are traditionally made with yogurt and are very enjoyable. The mango flavor is not too strong , consistenciy is thick yet smooth and not as sweet.

The food is so delicious here, we've come back again and again. The gyros are always a favorite!

When you get tired of the same old thing, go to Spice It Up. Their gyros are the best in Fairbanks. All their dishes are great.

Thought to try this place due to good rating. Ordered samosas, it was very greasy and crispy wrapping on samosa was little bitter, not sure it was due to oil or something else.

Spice it up does not live up to its name. I ordered a chicken gyro, and though the place wasn't super busy they took for ever to make my my order. So the worker prepping my gyro was definitely on the I'll take my time mode, I had the Chace to use the restroom walk back out and my order was still not ready. The food was ok in taste, I have definitely bigger gyros and better tasting in California. Their sauces are very little to not spicy. They only carry can sodas and water bottles. If you want to try their 12oz cup of home made drink you'll need to cough up about $7 for it. I dig thin it's worth it unless you like very sweet drinks.

I work and live on this side of town and this place has been my go to for a long time. It's so convenient and the food is delicious. The spices mixed with the cream sauce is fantastic. Truly a staple of Fairbanks.

I rarely trust a place with a menu 10,000 pages long. It usually means a lot of stuff done in a mediocre way. Spice It Up is the exact opposite of that. They do a few things, but they do them *masterfully*. Easily the best Mediterranean I've tried in Fairbanks-North Star. Staff is chill, food is good, and I mean all of it. You can't go wrong here.

It was pretty quiet when we arrived and the owner provided a small sample of all their options. Every single one was delicious. I chose lamb with chana masala for my lunch and it was so good.

This is one of the best places to eat in town, literally everything on the menu is delicious and the portions they give you are very generous. The owner is always hard at work behind the counter serving up some awesome food.

I ordered lamb and butter chicken combo box (they let you mix and match menu items). The portion is generous. I wanted to stop eating but I couldn't. It was that delicious! (Perhaps it was the sauce on top) the basmati rice was spiced and very tasty. The place is tucked away in a non-touristy area. Probably a local favorite. It is certainly one of my favorites in Fairbanks!

Delicious food here. They server halal options and have some vegetarian options as well. The owner was really nice, wish i had the chance to talk to him more.

A hidden gem for a quick and healthy bite.

I was surprised to see there was a place with Greek food in Fairbanks so I had to give it a try. I had the lamb gyro and it was done to perfection! There aren't a ton of menu options and unfortunately they close at 6, so you might not be able to hit it up at the usual dinner time. But it's worth it anytime it is open!

Love Spice It Up! I'm hooked on the lamb gyro. But really, anything I've tried here is awesome! The owner is so hard working and takes a lot of pride in his business. One of the best quick local restaurants.

The cauliflower rice is AMAZING!! Seriously. Better than regular rice. I know, sounds crazy but it's true!! It cost a few dollars more but it's totally worth it. The cook actually fried it up fresh. Not soggy whatsoever and full of flavor!! This is the absolute BEST food place in all of Alaska. Hands down. No competition. Friendly service, fresh and fast food and the flavor is outta this world. Pro tip: Mix your salad in with your dish. It adds the perfect crunch. I would eat here at least 4 times a week if I lived in Fairbanks. Haha

Always a favorite, I love the butter chicken and garlic naan. Sometimes there are more experimental specials, too, that turn out great! One that I can remember was almost like a buffalo chicken slider made out of naan. Delicious, and totally outside of the box! The owner/chef here is awesome at what he does.

Food is wonderful! I wish they were fully staffed so we could have the naan. We always get the butter chicken masala. Their hours can be iffy, so call ahead or go to their Facebook page for updates.

I'm not the biggest fan of curry, but their Buttered Chicken is to die for. Highly recommend. 😤😤😤

Authentic Pakistani & Mediterranean fare, in a bright, clean, and friendly environment. The owner and staff welcomed me as I emtered and approached the counter, and took excellent care of me during my first visit, offering me a sample of their different meat menu items, to allow me to make an informed choice for my meal! Good value for my money, and a truly great team running the place! I felt welcome in their space, and will definitely be giving them my business again before I leave the area!

Found this gem of a place for desi food in Alaska. We tried mutiple dishes and everything was delicious, from lamb to butter chicken to tandoori chicken to chana masla. The lamb with rice was our favorite. We also got some hot fresh naans direct from the oven. The owner is a gentleman and very corteous. They were gracious enough to even customize orders to accomodate our daughter. Ended up eating there multiple times throughout our trip. P.S. their serving sizes were huge, definitely worth every penny.

I am of South Asian descent, Bangladeshi. Bangladesh is Pakistan and India's neighbor. I am orginially from Queens, NY and know my Indian food expertly. My husband and I are on our honeymoon in Alaska and have been trying all the restaurants with the highest and best reviews. I want to start off by saying that Guy Fieri should immediately feature this place on Triple D Diners Drive Ins and Dives. This is legit, authentic Indian food. First, the customer service is great. They are generous and let you sample the flavors before purchase. I bought the Chicken Curry and Butter chicken over rice. The rice is excellent and has an authentic pulao aroma to it. Pulao rice is a staple in Indian, Pakistani and Bengali cuisine. The owner of this restaurant is Pakistani, Tariq Khan and I want to commend him for opening up such a great business in Alaska where one can find authentic tasting Indian street style food. I was told that they currently aren't serving samosas which is what I also wanted to try. But I hope they resume serving it. Both the chicken curry and butter chicken are delicious. The chicken curry is more savory while the butter chicken has a sweeter creamier taste, both excellent. The Taziki and red hot sauce were very flavorful. The salad on the side gives it the freshness you want in such rich food with bold flavors. The price is great for the quality and quantity of food! I loved it. I highly urge Triple D to review this gem in the rough. I reviewed Hari Om Cusine of India as well and their foods flavors and customer service were not even close to Spice it up and they received a review from Guy Fieri. Guy missed the mark with them while overlooking this place. Needless to say, the people and their reviews have spoken as Hari Om claims to be the only "good Indian" restaurant in Fairbanks while their reviews are overall 4.2 stars with only 200+ reviews from the people..while Spice it Up has 5 stars with almost 400 reviews. The numbers speak for themselves. Don't always believe Triple Ds ratings is the lesson I've learned as a Foodie from eating in Fairbanks, AK. Hats off to Mr. Khan, keep up the great food and work!

Yum! I had the butter chicken spicy with garlic naan. It’s rice with a meat on top and sauce and a small salad. Good variety of drinks. Naan was doughy.

The flavors are amazing and very authentic! I did half butter chicken and half lamb. The meats were very juicy and tender. Highly recommend for a quick stop!

We started our Alaska trip with this small place that popped up in our Google search and I'm so glad we gave it a try. We were in a hurry and needed something for a quick bite and ended up at the right spot! Ordered Chana masala and butter chicken. They serve all their curries with rice, veggies, raita and hot sauce. They also offer tastings so you get to try out before you buy. Out of all we tried their butter chicken is absolutely the best! The quantity is also pretty good so you probably get more than what you pay for. I will mention one thing though, neither the chana masala nor the butter chicken are authentic (there's no authentic Indian food in Alaska anyways) but the overall flavor with the rice, veggies and sauces make it taste really good! We liked it so much that we went another time on our way back. Overall a pretty decent restaurant.

This is an excellent Indian place. You can feel it's origins as a food truck. This is to say that the food, staff and atmosphere are all top quality, but the menu is a little limited. Great place for lunch or dinner, but they close at 07:00 so be careful.

Although I wasn't expecting much when I got there due to the scarcity of vegetarian food, they were willing to customize one of their items for me. I got a Naanwich with Chana Masala instead of the meats and a plate of samosas. Even though I shared it with my brother, it was quite filling for the both of us. Awesome food, really nice service and friendly staff

Awesome place with authentic taste, if you are missing Indian food that is spicy then this is the right place. Limited vegetarian food but excellent taste. Much better than a costly fancy restaurant. The staff and owner are awesome people. Loved the place and food. If you are an Asian its a must try.

Delicious and authentic! I'm a vegetarian and was slightly skeptical that there is just one item on the menu, Chana masala, that was vegetarian but the dish was homely and delicious, even better than I've had anywhere else in Boston or in my several visits to California. The naan was amazingly fresh as well. To echo many other reviews, the hospitality of the staff is very heart-warming. All in all, one of the best places I've eaten at in and out of Alaska.

Called this place 4 times. They picked up and disconnected twice and put us on hold other 2 times for over two mins before we decided to give it up. If you can't serve the customers, just tell that in a straight fwd way. Don't ignore the customer.

Wonderful!! Service was amazing and the food was even better! The butter chicken had just the right spice and the Chanda Masala was perfect for the 4 year old! Definitely visit!
