Truly good home cooked Chinese food staff is very friendly. I ate here 3 times. Each time different dish each time was fantastic. If you want real home cooked Chinese food give this place a try.

My first time trying this place and it was delicious! Everything was good and you can’t beat their prices!

Fire ,food taste great , sorry no pics , I didn't take any but I'll be eating again soon ,so I'll add pics then , but they have what most Chinese restaurants don't have and that's the Chow fun noodles with beef and blk bean sauce , game over , that puts it above most also they use chunks of crab (not sure if real or imitation but most just stuff it with cream cheese call it a day ) here real chunks and taste great too. But they won me over for the blk bean (soy bean) sauce with the wide flat noodles know as Chow fun.

It’s a local favorite <3 the chef is on point, I like honey garlic chicken with fried rice and an egg roll.

The Mongolian Beef here was the worst I've ever had. I gave it to a homeless person who seemed to enjoy it though.

First time trying their food. I ordered Lunch delivery it was one-time and warm. The shrimp fried rice was excellent. Wonton soup however was watery and not tasty. A shrimp egg roll was best. Will order from here again. The food seems fresh and not oily. Try it out.

Ordered delivery. 3 hours later I cancelled. Cannot rate food if it never arrives.

Warning ⚠️ do not order food in this place unless you like to be lied to and wait hours before delivery called staff on the phone yelled at and hung up on me finally food arrived I ordered for extra hot sauce got none and the food is terrible 😫 I will Never recommend this place to Never

WORST CHINESE food ever. Order at your own RISK. I had HORRIBLE REFLUX. Business should be inspected by the HEALTH DEPARTMENT. I took back my order. Staff not friendly. I will never go back.

I ordered bourbon chicken 3 times and each time they gave me a different order

First time trying this place and I was really stunned with the prices! I usually order a happy family at other places it’s $18 and up but it was only $12 here!! Also the Crab Rangoons are $9 elsewhere and here it’s $6! The prices are amazing and not only that but the food was delicious. I ordered a happy family, crab rangoons and an egg roll and it was fresh and tasty. The crab Rangoon wasn’t as sweet as I prefer it to be but none the less was still good! The guy who I spoke to over the phone was very sweet and even gave me directions to make sure I was going to the right place. The food was ready in less than 15 mins. The place is as very clean also. Highly recommend 🥰

Hot & Sour was tasteless 👎 Egg Roll chewy and awful👎 Chicken Chow Mein👎 General Tao's Chicken more batter than chicken👎 Roast Pork Fried Rice - I found 1 pc of pork. 👎 Wonton soup broth was tasteless didn't even bother to try the wontons👎 If we weren't starving I would have tossed the entire order out. We each ate half of dishes. Wish we could find decent Chinese food.

Just had for the first time. It was delish! I had the vegetable egg foo young w/ a spring roll. This is my go to place!

Don't eat here! The Asian guy always has an attitude on the phone. He doesn't understand English and gets your order wrong. Always check your food before you leave make sure they give you, your egg drop soup. They won't give you plastic wear unless you ask.

We have a big order to celebrate Chinese New Year. The food were decent and prices are reasonable. We would order again.

Last few times I ordered it was excellent, this time not so much. Ordered the bourbon chicken and it was tasteless. No sauce, it tasted like it was boiled and they threw some weird clear sauce on it. Terrible Update: Gave it one more try. The eggfoo young gravy tasted like plain flour, yes, flour gravy. Pale, tasteless, slop. Tore up the menu and will never eat there again.

Decent food and decent price. But that's the problem too. It's so traditional western Chinese takeout. This place doesn't stand out for anything unique. It's the same type of foods you will find at any Chinese takeout place. I don't think i will be ordering again. Again. It's not bad just too plain.

We absolutely love this place! For over ten years now enjoying their food and prices. Still even though we are being price gauged all over the place, Star River some how keeps the prices low. I don’t know how they do it, but it’s delicious and fresh. Moo shu and hot sour soup always amazing. Plum sauce so tasty. Bourbon chicken is FANTASTIC.

Very clean restaurant with excellent food and awesome customer service! The food is not greasy and they don’t overload it with salt. The folks taking orders and serving are very happy and very respectful! It’s consistent with each visit and that says a lot for Chinese takeout! If you’re in the area I suggest you give this place a try!!

Delish. Ordered here four times. Only item I didn’t like was the bbq ribs…it had a tasty sauce but seemed to chewy for rib meat, maybe loin? Fast friendly delivery…2.00 delivery and five dollar tip. Not bad in Covid land. Try the orange chicken.

I had been wanting to try this place for a while and I finally did. The rice, the soup and the egg roll were good but the Bourbon chicken was odd. In my experience, Bourbon chicken is supposed to be made with grilled chicken but they used battered chicken which would have been fine if they had put the sauce on the side instead of dousing it. Battered chicken is supposed to be crispy, not soggy and slimy. Plus if I wanted battered chicken, I would have gotten Honey Garlic. It wasn't bad, just not what I expected. On the plus side, they were fast and the young man came to the car to bring it. I'll try them again but I'll get something else.

Where ever I move to I always try to find a perfect Chinese food place to fit budget and palate. Very happy finding this place! Fried rice tastes fresh, dinner combo comes with entrée, soup, fried rice and an eggroll for about $10, and the employees (owner?) there are super friendly! I would recommend this place to anyone looking to save some money and still get a ton of food. The only downside is that they only deliver in a 1 mile(?) radius but I'm not concerned with driving to get my food. My favorite dish so far is their fried wontons and the eggrolls!

Everyone who works here have always been extremely helpful and friendly each and every time I stop in or order ahead. The food here is always hot and fresh and made when it's ordered. Everything I've tried here is delicious too! When I stopped by and placed my order today, I'd forgotten how much time had passed and hadn't stopped back in to pick it up, so they just ran it over to where I was at! I ordered a House Special fried rice from them it was hot and delicious! The chicken & garlic sauce was alright. I believe it would of been tastier, if it was spicy. My fault though. Egg roll not terrible, but eat with sauce; not facinated with taste. Quoted me an hour (keep in mind when ordering) for delivery, took a little less, but it was Great! Delicious! Thank you!

Love this little spot. It’s by far the best in west palm beach . I have tried almost all the highest rated Chinese places around and this place has the best tasting food. Love their food. It looks like a hole in a wall but some of the best food come from little own businesses like these . Highly recommend!!!

I’ve known Mr Lee for about 10 years and I used to live right next to the shop. I’ve moved and yet I still can’t find a better place that Star River. Best beef lo mein in Palm Beach County!! I’ve had a lot of their menu and everything I’ve ordered has been nothing short from the best. Love this place and no other Chinese take out can replace this one!!

They are 50/50, the customer service is good,But I wonder how hygienic they are in the back, it's kinda sketchy sometime I wonder what heck they doing to my food in the back, since one time I saw them switching fry pan, in my mind gets me thinking was that pan from the day before or what. I always order the sweet and sour they ace it. But I noticed if I order the dinnerlunch sweet and sour I think. They stuff more broccoli then the sweet and sour.

The best food ever! Love the people that work there & it is the ONLY place we go to for our take out! If you want your spice on you have to ask for as spicy as you can make it though.

Best Chinese takeout you will have in your life! True story, I used them as a dinner service at a place I used to work years ago & have been hooked ever since that was many many moons ago! They have fresh vegetables in their food and good chicken dishes. My fave is the sesame chicken. The texture & sauce is unlike any other. Crab Rangoon, spring roll, shrimp fried rice with bean sprouts, eggs & veggies! Try them you will not be disappointed.

Star river has been near my house for the last 19 years. I’ve been coming here for the 19 it has been open. My children love it and they always know our order and ask how the family is doing. They like to keep everything family oriented.

I initially wanted the pepper steak but ordered shrimp egg foo young to eat in. The egg foo young was perfect and delicious but the gravy had too much garlic and spice for my liking and i had already poured the gravy on my dish. Without hesitation the owner replaced my meal with pepper steak and it was DELICIOUS!! I will be back for more great food! Excellent customer service they are so nice... Thank you
