My husband and I,recently just spent 4 nights, at Sunburst Inn, in suite #5. Must say our stay was an awesome experience! Clean, and bright, beachy decor suite. Communications before stay, was very helpful.(I’m a stroke survivor)With that said I get things confused, backwards and so on. Jason who was answering my questions was very patient with me! Great staff all the way around!

We were curious about this inn after watching the HGTV makeover. We needed a quick road trip and booked it. We couldn't have been happier. Great communication, clean retro fun room, literally on the beach. Staff was incredibly friendly and beach equipment is right there to use. Good restaurants close. We will do this again.

This inn is cozy and precious on one of the most beautiful beaches we’ve ever been to! The rooms are so cute and super clean. The staff is friendly and everything is picturesque. We will definitely be back!

As an expert in this space, I highly recommend the Sunburst in for value, service, cleanliness and overall good experience! We had seen the HGTV Show about the property, and we do short term rental rescues. We wanted to see their decor and upgrades. Next time we stay we will stay longer and in the penthouse. We have already referred some friends and family! Thanks for a great stay!

THEY DID THE RIGHT THING!! Due to unexpected issues we were only able to stay one of our four planned nights. They refund us for the unsued nights. In this time of little to no customer service it was refreshing to see that they cared about their customers and treated them properly. If you are looking for a 1950’s retro vibe on a spectacular location give the Sun Burst Inn a try.

From the moment you book your reservation to well after you have returned home, Sunburst Inn communicates better than ANY other hospitality company out there. They go above and beyond to ensure your stay is perfect. Text messages, emails, and phone calls. They are fantastic at communicating! The location is perfect. Walk right out to salty air paradise with soft sand under your feet. Excellent restaurants are nearby with some even a short walk away. We stayed in the Penthouse suite and it is THE MOST ADORABLE place of the entire Inn, in my opinion. I can't wait to come back as a repeat customer. This is truly a great place to stay. The only constructive critique I could possibly think of....because no one believes in a perfect world..... is.... cabinetry trim was not finished and the living room rug needs to be cleaned. But that is as picky as I could think of because it was dang near flawless of an experience.

Perfect location right on the beach! Bright colored rooms and decor really give this place a tropical feel! Clean and comfortable and loved the fact that we were able to bring our furry family member with us! This is the place to stay for a true beach vacation! We will be back!

The Sunburst Inn is the most beautiful and unique hotel I’ve ever stayed at! The sunsets are spectacular, the beach is very quiet, and all the amenities you can think of are provided! We had a wonderful family vacation and will definitely be back!

This was our second stay and absolutely loved it. Couldn't ask for more. Direct beach access, rooms are clean and cozy, staff goes above and beyond and makes you feel welcome. Beach is private and not crowded. We will definitely be back again.

The location was amazing - steps from the Beach ( this was the main reason we booked ) the room was clean and very cute !! We had a great time just sitting and enjoying the view - the only downside was no Ice machine on site - our refrigerator didn’t get very cold and Ice was needed for our drinks . We loved how you can just show up and have chairs, umbrellas, towels for the beach ready and waiting . Someplace to hang your swim suits / shorts would have been nice so they could dry over night and avoid packing damp / sandy clothes . PARKING is terrible .. small , tight and few very - you have to back out onto Gulf Blvd And sometimes it’s hard to do that and you can’t see very well. Overall we had a great time and will visit again( Hope they get an Ice machine before we go back ) ☀️☀️☀️ we didn’t need any service so I can’t comment on that - the information was all sent via email , no need to check in and out of Office . 🌴🌴🌴

I have NOT actually stayed there yet; HOWEVER, after seing the remodel that Brian & Mika did to the property; I absolutely can't Wait to make a reservation! Yes, new to Florida (I'm on other coast, beachside in Daytona Beach) but everyone talks so much about how beautiful the beaches are on the west coast AND, you get the Sunsets!! (Sunrises here, pretty, but not the same!). Nonetheless, am trying to head that direction late Sept or early October... I WILL be checking in because of the beauty of Inn.. thank you to HGTV's Brian & Mika!! Those 2 episodes are the very reason I will try to book here for those 3 days!! BEAUTIFUL REMODEL @! GREAT JOB!!...

If you want to lose $100 dollars really quick, stay here and give a "deposit" of $100 dollars that you won't get back. Even after calling...

My sister and I came for a sister get away weekend and it truly was amazing. The room was so cozy clean and relaxing. The beach access is so perfect. The out side areas were amazing. We watched the sun set and slept like babies. Thank you so much for everything. We will come back soon!!!

My wife and I spent our anniversary there and we just loved it! The stresses of life just melted away as we sat on the deck listening to the waves break. Just a little piece of heaven!

So far, this has been my favorite family-friendly beach hotel that I've stayed at in the US. From the amazing hospitality, to the very cute and comfortable rooms, this hotel had everything we needed to enjoy a stress-free vacation with my two boys. The hotel had corn hole, beach chairs and towels, umbrellas, bikes, paddle boards, pretty much everything we needed. It was also nice that we had private beach access so the beaches weren't overly crowded. On top of that, the room was equipped with a full kitchen so we really didn't need to leave the property. (This was very nice for my two boys who have severe food allergies so I was able to make all of their food in the room). The sunsets every night were incredible. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone who wants a beach getaway with their family.

We loved our stay at Sunburst Inn. Steps to the beach and a nice shaded area to hang out when you've had a bit too much sun. Love that it's family friendly (they even had beach toys). They also provided a pack and play for us so we didn't have to fly with one. Rooms are stocked with dishes and utensils. We utilized the grill and patio area which made it more relaxing to not have to find somewhere to eat for every meal. Only thing I would change is add curtains to the bedroom or have less lighting right outside the room windows. It was very bright in the bedroom at night. Otherwise we fully enjoyed our stay and will definitley visit again!

My husband and I stayed 4 nights in one of the suites and had an amazing vacation. We enjoyed the beautifully decorated rooms and retro kitchen. you are literally a few steps to the sand. Make sure to use the fire bowl at night and take advantage of the beach chairs and umbrellas that are available for guests. They do not charge a resort fee for these extra amenities which is so nice for a change. There were no hassles with checking in and out which was also an added bonus. Will definitely be coming back!

As seen on TV, we took a 5 night vacation over the Christmas holidays. Jason & the lady in housekeeping were able to arrange early check-in. Location is super. Rooms are remodeled '50s-'60s retro and our room was a little tight, but we would return in a heart beat. The Gulf was literally outside our window. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Convenient to Clearwater & Tampa. Local health code prevents an onsite ice machine. This place is a great little vacation get away!

Sunburst Inn is the best hidden gem on Gulf Boulevard! We stayed there two nights this week, and I can’t wait to go back! The rooms are immaculate and everything is new and adorable. The bed was so comfortable that we slept in both mornings! I’d go back just for the rain shower in the bath! Oh - so relaxing. The amenities on the beachside are fabulous - from the so comfortable yellow zero gravity chairs to the pergola with the sofa for two - talk about relaxing. There is so much seating that we sat in everything. There are bicycles to use, paddle boards, etc. And…the beach is fabulous! So soft sand and the ocean is right there as soon as you walk out the door. It is walkable to many great restaurants- My favorite is Salt Rock Grill.

I was there on weekend with my dog and I couldn’t be more happier. The staff were super great and the room was super nice. I could wake up and sleep looking at an incredible view. I think one of the best things in the world is wake up and walk to the beach while you watch the sunrise, and staying at Sunburst Inn I could do that and also I could sleep listen to the ocean waves.

My friends and I stayed here from Monday- Wednesday morning in the Penthouse. We had the most amazing stay. The place is beautiful in itself, not to mention the employees and even the other guest were more than kind. The location of this hotel is right on the beach, so it was amazing waking up to the waves each morning. Waking up to seeing the ocean is a great way to start the day. This room has everything we needed from pots and pans to washer and dryers. They also had surf boards, paddle boards, and bikes that all the guests were able to use. We were more than pleased with our stay and will definitely be coming back!

A perfect getaway! We love the modern renovations and the Retro colors, so old school florida! We never want to leave this place, but will look forward to starting a annual tradition to book again with my mother and daughter, the penthouse was amazing!

We loved our stay! The room was adorabley decorated and the property gave us everything we needed for our beach vacation! The use of a bicycle & paddleboards was such a fun addition. I also loved the extra attention for our dog between being provided dog bowls and an extra blanket when we arrived and the lower detachable shower head for getting him rinsed off at the end of the night.

Haven’t stayed here yet but my favorite HGTV couple renovated it, definitely considering a stay here in the near future! The rooms are fresh and creative and the owners seem very kind.

Loved staying at the beach! The Inn is on a quiet beach front and a main road, Gulf Boulevard. Indian Shores Coffee (bakery, breakfast sandwiches and coffee/tea) is a 2 minute walk away and Salt Rock Grill (go for the early bird special) is 4 minutes. St. Pete Beach, all the beaches in between to Clearwater are accessible via Jolly Trolly and transit system and a stop is steps away from the Inn. Rad Bikes, Beach, Surf and Rentals delivers and picks up at Sunburst. The pics and videos attached will show how much we enjoyed our stay. Elise, the owner was very hospitable and helpful! The inn is beautiful. The room was clean and well stocked as an efficiency. The beach was beautiful and uncrowded. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We will definitely be going back.

I am watching the HGTV premiere of this hotel. I have stayed here a few times and it is one of my favorite places to stay. There aren't many smaller spots left on the beach, which is one thing I love about this place so I am hoping they don't change it too much. It was amazing to stay in one of the beach front rooms and have the patio right outside your door. I have referred so many friends to this adorable spot ❤️

My wife and I stayed at the Sun Burst Inn to celebrate our anniversary as a staycation and booked a room here after driving by for years. We were so happy with our stay, and the friendly staff. The location is perfect on the gulf and walking distance from Salt Rock Grill, and close to many other great restaurants. We enjoyed walking right out to the beach where we were delighted to find clear water, with manatees floating by frequently. There are nice beach chairs, and other beach items provided by the inn. The area in the back has comfortable shaded seating if you want to enjoy the beach front out of the sun. We decided to extend our stay by a day, and the staff was easy to access via text and quickly assisted in extending our stay. We plan on returning here, and hope to bring more family with us to take advantage of this charming slice of heaven.

Nice renovation, using hair dryers doesn’t cause power to go out now. However, paint & poorly installed aluminum siding doesn’t justify almost doubling the rates. There isn’t even an ice machine on the property. No laundry facilities either, unless you want to pay $35 a load. Good location. Average room.

We loved this cute little hotel! Right on the beach, walking distance to a coffee shop, bar and one restaurant.

I just want to say we stayed at the sunburst north location and me and my 6 children and 2 grandchildren had a blast! The place was so cute! The staff has been amazing through the entire process! The location was absolutely everything!!! The set up with apartments and pool and hammocks and yard was incredible plus beach access was literally a 2 minute walk! We will definitely be back again! Recently renovated, clean, great location, and directly on the beach. Only drawback is small parking lot and limited to one vehicle per room Otherwise a great stay and would stay again. 2 day visit.

My husband and I stayed here in May of 2021 for our 10 year anniversary and we loved it. We planned to book again this year and saw they doubled their prices. While I understand they recently renovated their rooms, they are now charging prices equivalent to beachfront resorts who have other ammentities such as gyms and pools as well as access to the beach just feet away. While we loved our stay there, we are disappointed that we will not be able to return due to the price increase.

I went here because I needed an affordable room for a photoshoot. I was BLOWN AWAY - I could step out and literally see the Ocean! I was 20 seconds walking distance from the beach. There was a fridge and an oven. This was perfect. AND it was so cute! I will be here every year!

Room was nice and comfortable. The only difficult part of our trip was parking. It's a small parking lot with a tight squeeze. But other than that we had a great time. The beach was a quick walk and so beautiful.

Let me start by saying I didn’t expect anything fancy for the price. Which isn’t a big deal for me bc I don’t spend much time in the room anyway but boy does it need some updates. looks nothing like the pictures. run down just needs a major face lift. one of the worst looking little motels down there. there were a couple more but it was for sure a close run. The only really good thing was the price and bring ocean front with private access. bed was on like an old creaky frame. DIDNT GET FRESH TOWELS AND WASHCLOTHS. they have you one set and had a washer and dryer that didn’t look very clean that you had to use to wash your one set of towel and washcloth. so we went and bought loofas. I’m not wasting my time on vaca washing 2 towels and 2 washcloths. no ice machine. you’re on the beach… people take coolers… invest in an ice machine. our room was super tiny. felt like I couldn’t move. plus it was right beside the washer/dryer, the gate, and the stairs. so very very noisy. it may have been clean but it sure didn’t feel like it due to I guess how run down it was and much need of updating it needed. i didn’t even walk around the room without shoes. i even showered with my plastic flip flops on. no extra paper towels, trash bags etc. and the staff was not there most of our stay that I could find to help with that. they had 2 small pots, and 1 small pan. very hard to cook anything of size in. we were cooking bacon in the pan and the pot to try to be able to eat at the same time they were soo small. no mini oven we brought some little pizzas and such to cook for lunch, no where to cook them. LITTLE TO NO PARKING AND SUPER TIGHT FITS. Next time we will be spending more for a nicer place. We would have cancelled if we hadn’t lost our money and went somewhere else

A lovely little place to go and spend your days relaxing on the beach. We stayed in the 2 story room with two decks and really enjoyed it.

The location can't be beat. I loved the deck and firepit. The service was also great. My only suggestion would be to improve the rooms. A can of paint can work miracles. Small investment. Also the mattresses need replaced. Very uncomfy. A small investment to make it nicer would be ideal. Both us and our neighbors agreed we would pay more to have those improvements.

Great ocean views with rooms that are not over priced. With the ocean out the door make it priceless. The pups had a great time walking in town. Still not allowed on the beach in Florida tho.

My family and I stayed here for three nights. The best thing about this place is the location! However, the rooms and service needs improvement. I made a list to give you a better idea of pros and cons about this place. Pros: Location, cleanness, sand toys for kids, bonfire, kitchen supplies, friendly and quite atmosphere. Cons: small rooms, very uncomfortable furniture, staff is not there to assist with needs and not very friendly.

We stayed at the Sun Burst Inn for 3 nights celebrating our 5 year old’s birthday. Her biggest wish was to go to the beach and this place was a dream. The rooms were super clean, the location is perfect. We walked out of our room right in the beach. We loved everything about the Sun Burst Inn it was perfect. The staff was super Riley and Elise were so accommodating and friendly. We will definitely be going back.

Booked as a last minute, pet friendly place we could find with vacancy. It is now clear why they had plenty of vacancy. Though the staff is seemingly friendly, this place is a dump. We didn’t expect anything fancy for a $700 3 night stay, but we feel robbed. The place hasn’t been cleaned properly in who knows how long. The tile floors are covered in dirt; you can wet a paper towel and wipe the floor and you’ll get a black paper towel with only 1 swipe. The refrigerator was dirty and uncleaned when we arrived; the stove top had old food stuck on a burner and was not clean; the furniture, which looks like it was picked up at a used goods flea market (or even off the side of the street), was stained, faded and dirty; the mattress and extra sleeper mattress were cheap and uncomfortable (the extra sleeper filled with sand!); the shower head was so clogged and devoid of water pressure that it was nearly impossible to shower; the towels, old and bleach stained, as well as small and cheap. It’s hard to believe that a place like this can actually stay in business and not be shut down. Unless the other rooms are universes apart in cleanliness, appearance and function, there is no way in hell the other reviews are legitimate (someone was paid or asked to leave a fake review)! Save you’re money and find someplace else. The only good thing here is the location; otherwise the place should be condemned.

Elise was amazing! She was so friendly and nice. Had lots of info on local things to do and see. The room is very cute and quaint. Very clean. Private beach is incredible. This place is absolutely a perfect little hidden gem for a quiet beachfront getaway.

It is the coolest place I have stayed in a long time. If you’re looking for fancy, this isn’t it but it’s charming in its own way and very comfortable. It’s a throwback of the kitchenettes of the 70’s and the cleanest ever. Walk down 5 steps and you are on the private beach. Another reason why we loved it because it is small. Everyone was so friendly. In fact we are meeting our “new friends” same time next year! We are all booked. The manager ( I cannot remember her name) was so nice and helpful as were the staff. I think you will love it, too!

Went on a solo getaway to this lovely inn. Perfect beachside placement. They provide beach umbrellas which is a major plus for pale beach lovers. Super close to a cute coffee shop. The sunsets are on a different level. All topped off with friendly staff.

Great little no frills right on the beach place.

Didn't stay because of an accidental double booking (I booked one spot, my sister booked another spot & we opted for the larger of the two). However I was still charged. We called the number available & no answer, but it was getting late in the evening when I discovered I was charged. But the lady called back promptly the next morning. She was so kind & understanding, & I had my refund within 2 days. Would recommend just based on the honesty & understanding.

It's a great spot right on the ocean, it does need some updating but then I guess it wouldn't be so cheap. I had a good time and the location you can't beat it.

Such a beautiful little gem almost hidden on the Indian Rocks Beach coastline. My fiancee and I spent 5 nights there a few weeks ago and were amazed. Our beach front room was super cute and comfortable and literally steps away from the beach. There's nothing like waking up to the view of the gulf shores and walking out with a hot cup of coffee to start your morning. This place is super affordable and worth every penny and more. You really can't beat being right on the beach. I will definitely be coming back next year!

Was looking for a small local place to stay on the beach, we found that at Sunburst Inn. Place is located right on the beach and has chairs to use and a fire pit for a nice evening outside. Room included the kitchenette and seperate bedroom with 2 entrances, including the ine on the large deck looking out to the beach. We meet a few regulars that come back year after year. Staff was friendly, was close enough to walk to a few places to eat or a short drive.
