To start the waitress was fine besides forgetting to bring my soup, but that could be the cooks fault and not hers, i had gotten the teriyaki chicken on a bed of sautéed onions (which were raw cut onions and not sautéed at all), the chicken was alright but not great, the biggest crime here is that for a Japanese restaurant you'd think they know how to cook white rice, yet it was as dry as the Sahara and felt undercooked, everything is too expensive for what you get and the menu is too cluttered and too big and lastly the atmosphere just feels ripped off for the sake of it being a Japanese theme

Great food and the servers were wonderful. Our 1 year old got to try an avocado roll for the first time and absolutely loved it. We’ll definitely be back

Everything about this place is excellent. I went with some friends and everyone got the AYCE sushi dinner. All of the rolls that we tried were fantastic (my favorite is the LSU roll, must try). The service from Gunner was great, he checked on us regularly and always asked if we were ready for more. We finished with cheesecake tempura and fried Oreos. Everything was 10/10!

The foot is amazing and the service is even better🤩. Been here many times and had have amazing experiences each time. This most recent time we had Christian as our server and he was absolutely amazing 10/10. Will be coming back and hopefully sitting in his section again 🫶

Lance did an excellent job helping my girlfriend with the gluten free menu items and substituting. He had a lot of patience and kindness and drinks stayed full. Love this place and the excellent all you can eat dinner/lunch.

Got the all you can eat lunch special for my husband and i. it was amazing, quality of the sushi was great and presentations were beautiful. service was fast. we were able to order anything off the lunch menu, included appetizers/special rolls/noodes/fried rice/soups and even ice creams for desert. i think we managed to get 4 appetizers, 6 special rolls and 2 regular rolls, and each an order of ice cream. (unlimited drinks included) our total bill besides tip was $45. money well spent and just had a great experience. can’t wait to come back and maybe try all you can eat dinner.

We went just before the lunch rush started on Saturday. Our server was perfect. We both had the all you can eat lunch. We sampled many different things. The seaweed salad was good. The sushi was good, but we've definitely had better. The shrimp tempura was very good. Everything is made to order so you wait quite a while on sushi rolls. Everything else came out fast. Overall, if you want to eat a lot of food and you are not in a hurry, it is a great option.

I have gone several times, today we went for my husband's birthday. and I must say that Mr. Lance's attention was of another level. He guided us about the menu and the best options for the family and everything he recommended to us was spot on. The food was ready in a very good time and the dessert was divine. They even sang to him on his birthday. very happy to have chosen this place and to have been served by this kind person.

Good Lord, we had such an amazing experience at Sushi Masa in Lakeland. Our service, provided by Lammy, was of the utmost perfection. The food was also really good. Each sushi roll made my taste buds dance. We thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend.

I came on vacation and they recommended it to me to come with the family and they disappointed me, I went in and the girl told me that since I wasn't there 9 minutes before they couldn't serve me because we arrived before closing and they wouldn't let us sit down. I feel very disappointed that they couldn't help me. Very bad thanks for your service.

The place was cool! I wasn't really that much of a sushi person but there was other options I could get other than sushi so that was nice! Only thing is that My mom got a cold steak. But the chicken and noodles taste really good!

We have been to Sushi Masa a handful of times and every time has been great. We went today for lunch and had Christian as our server. He was amazing! He was knowledgeable and answered any and all questions we had. He was wonderful with the kids and made the overall experience very enjoyable. This place has very high-quality sushi. Great service, fantastic spicy mayo I got the tiger roll. The LSU roll. The shaggy dog roll. I also got the tofu, sashimi. The price is here aren’t too bad. The atmosphere is very nice. Service was very fast and efficient. The waiter was very knowledgeable and nice. I would definitely recommend this place if you are a sushi lover. They also have hibachi and cooked options for those who do not like raw fish. The menu is very large and extensive and can be overwhelming, but the variety that they offer is well worth the read. This is some of the best quality sushi I’ve ever had and all that was delicious. I definitely recommend this place and I will definitely be back.

Probably one of the best sushi spots in lakeland, in my opinion. The food never takes long to get to you after you order. The atmosphere is chill but it's a pretty popular spot so loud. I've been several times and haven't had anything bad by any means. The host upon arrival was friendly. They asked us if we had any allergies and noted it on our ticket for our table which was amazing. Definitely worth continuing to go

Went here a week ago. Food was pretty decent. Waitress was amazing, but the two managers were not friendly. Didn't come to our table to ask if everything was ok despite not being that busy on that evening. Went to other people tables though. I will not be coming there again.

Best sushi in Lakeland, hands down!! Visited twice. Freshest protein options, great tasting rice. Great service. Pleasant atmosphere. Not to mention all you can eat for $21 - includes appetizers, soups, salads, basic rolls, special rolls, tempura options, rice, options, ice cream. Just a great place all around!

Second review, after dining here a few times I've noticed the timing from kitchen to table is slower. On a recent visit I placed an order for shrimp Ebi. Which it shrimp on top of rice. I waited 25 minutes for 4 pieces. Thr waiter was amazing. He checked in to see if I received the food. Even went to the sushi chef and asked. When it did arrive it was served on a wore out tired old plate. The gold had worn away around the edge.

Food came out fresh and quickly. $32.99 for all you can eat, and it is truly all you can eat! We are stuffed! The photo features tuna, salmon, shrimp, escolar, scallop, and yellowtail sashimi. Other items for you to try: tuna tataki, salmon and tuna tartare, sweet potato tempura.

Staff is helpful and friendly. Ask them anything and they can help you if needed. Wide selection and good service, even when busy

The steak and scallops hibachi was not good. The beef used is stew quality and hard to chew. The scallops came with several shrimp instead of only scallops. The rice was so overcooked that it was like the texture you would find in rice pudding. People are likely giving great reviews because it feels nicer than most places in Lakeland and. The front desk staff are amazing and professional. I normally order sushi wish is always good and difficult to mess up so long fish is fresh. However, they either leave out an item or put a wrong item in entree almost every time. Most times it isn’t a big enough deal to bother with but on a few occasions I’ve had to drive all the way back to the restaurant to get the item they left out.

The best sushi I have ever had. Quality service, fresh sushi, 10/10 definitely will keep coming back.

Great food, good prices, great happy hour. Have been there 3 times recently. Food comes to table and we have no chopsticks or eating utensils!! Also no napkins!! The hostess should bring chopsticks and napkins with the menus.

I came here with my family for some sushi and had heard good things about it. Long review short, I was not disappointed. First of all, whoever designed that place is a genius! I kept remarking to my wife how the esthetic was beautiful and consistent throughout the restaurant, bamboo, they had cherry blossom tree replicas all around the restaurant, even the ceilings and walls were in keeping with the design. The service was decent. I will give 5 stars because it was a cool idea. I got the all you can eat sushi, but it came with so much more, appetizers, a drink, and a desert of my choice. I got like 4 appetizers and 4 sushi rolls, sake, and the banana tempura. It was all delicious, especially the mussels, totally worth the 30 bucks. One ding to the food is on my last sushi roll there was a hair, but other than that, top notch

This is a great location to eat some good sushi i have been here plenty of times with family and friends never had a ny issues and waiters always have been friendly as well as front desk. But i have attended yesterday with my family and since we were placed in our table our waitress was not welcoming, it felt like we were being watched for every conversation she would just stand there. I keep telling we were ok. She keep questioning what would my kids eat after i order from the kids meal. Me and my husband got the all you can eat dinner. Our sushi's came and my 7 year old wanted to try one so we let her. This waitress jumped out of nowhere like she was already watching us interrupts out meal to tell me i can give a piece of my sushi to my kid. I understand their policy’s but come on is ridiculous i have purchased kids meals and you are telling i can not have my 7 year child try the food that i am paying for. She standa at the table to watch us eat and the proceeds to get a manager. I walked away and let everything on the table the manager was not understanding and did nothing to make us feel he understood where we were coming from. I will never visit this place if it means they will watch every you eat I think this stupid policy need to be reviewed. We felt disrespected and unwelcome

I have had their Sweetheart Roll twice and loved it both times! Once I dined in and the restaurant is so nice! The 2nd time I ordered it to go and it was just as great! The quality did not suffer one bit for taking it as a to-go order! I highly recommend trying the Sweetheart Roll and any others that strike your fancy! The tuna was so fresh and melted in my mouth!

I don't know how they got 4.7 reviews. I would have thought It's been last after our experience. We were in a couple days ago and we're excited to eat some sushi. The first part that we all complained about was being able to read the menus. Black font on a dark busy background made it hard for us to read, Even the teenagers. Feels like they're just working the kinks out still. Ginger salad was possibly the worst ginger salad dressing I ever had. The salad itself was wonderful The dressing was garbage. Super sweet unlike normal ginger dressing. It lacked the ginger. Clear bra soup with the mushrooms and it was wonderful. Probably best I ever had. Sesame balls were great and flavor but just super greasy. I have traveled too many places in Eaton many different sesame balls and these are possibly the greasy I've ever had. I took my second order home and cooked it the next day after soaking it in paper towels and put it in the convection oven and cook the grease out of it and They were wonderful. They need to cook them a little bit longer and drain them. There's just way too much grease in them and they were a little doughy. I started off with the tuna tataki and it was possibly the worst I ever had. Had barely any flavor of sauce and was fishy. I left several pieces on the platter. Everybody tried a piece and I tried to eat a few, drowned in soy sauce. The boys had the dumplings and liked them. I tried the salmon skin sushi roll and it was good. I'd never had that before. My husband got the asparagus roll I think and something with sweet potato tempura sushi roll and they were great. The sweet potato was the lucky Buddha or I think it was called. That was the star of the show. Boys got hibachi. The fried rice taste of nothing but egg. Probably the worst fried rice I ever had. I said their meals were okay. Oh my husband also got that crispy chicken that's made with the panko breading and it was bland. He didn't need it. We took it home And I ended up throwing it to the birds. He was pretty full for his sushi anyways. This wasn't the best Japanese meal we've ever had and we travel all over and eat from different states and countries. So we have a lot to compare it to. All in all I think it's going to be a great place they just have some things to work on. For starters, ditch that ginger dressing and get a proper ginger dressing for your salads. None of us ate our salads It was a total waste. Your fried rice you should not taste like eggs. I love eggs and I couldn't stand it. With this said I would come back for a few things but I know what not to do next time and what not to get. Our waiter Damien I think it was, was very helpful. My husband has a lot of questions sometimes and he was very patient with him. We had a couple items that were brought to us that weren't ours and they had to swap it because they took it to wrong tables. Like I said I think you're still working the kinks out. I usually take pictures but I have my phone on charge and did not bring it in. I will take pictures next time.

Long wait times, they’re always busy. I feel the value for lunch all you can eat is much better than the dinner prices. Food was good, but can’t say I will frequent the establishment. I’ve found another sushi place nearby that I feel is a better value. Overall though, I would eat here again.

Great food & ambiance - Will go back asap!

First time we went we liked it. Went back recently and will now never go back. We were nothing other than harassed by our waitress. Pressured us to do the all you can eat. Came to our table every couple mins asking what other rolls we want. Literally gave me anxiety, so not relaxing. Then in the end she told us that anything left on our plates they would charge us for. She was aiming the comment at my 9 year old. I told her I wasn’t taking it home and it didn’t matter. I looked on the menu and couldn’t find any notices informing of this. I told her I was not going to force feed my children. Worst dining experience I’ve had in a long time. Will absolutely not be back.

Finally had a chance to try Sushi Masa out and it was fantastic. The restaurant layout and atmosphere is spacious and inviting. Their all you can eat lunch deal is good, and some of the best sushi I’ve had in a long time, every option was perfect. Michael took great care of our family and we’ll definitely be back.

An exemplary addition to South Lakeland. Fantastic service team. Sushi and sashimi orders come out fast! Best value for all you can eat in town - included drink or alcohol basically makes this the price of any other joint so live it up! I never would have guessed this was a chain, but it has my loyalty for sure. Hope it stays this great!

Came here for the lunch and everything was excellent. I'm from south florida and have never been to a place that had such great variety. Fish was fresh and well prepaired. Our server Melissa was amazing and never left our drinks below half and was prompt with all of our orders.

Great selection and all you can eat is the best option. A bit long of a wait between orders as each item is prepared but we enjoyed everything we ordered.

We came here to celebrate our new purchase of a home in the Lakeland area. Coincidentally it was my son's first time trying sushi and it was not a good experience overall. I had been here before and had a good experience the food was tasty and good service. However on Monday evening of this week, food was not good at all, we brought it to the attention of our server who was very nice and apologetic, but according to her, no one else complained about the food that evening being an issue so that they could not do any type of compensation for our unsatisfactory experience. The rolls, that I chose for him ended up being very slimy and very off-smelling and he was very turned off by the whole experience and wanted to leave. I spent over $70 on food that was not up to par. I think the server should have at least credit me at least his dinner as my rolls were okay, but I did taste the roles that he chose and they were not good. It's a shame because I do like this place but I feel hours experience was not handled properly and it puts me on the fence if I'm to come back again and be served food that caused my son to be sick.
