Just moved to Deland, wanted some authentic Mexican cuisine and this place did not disappoint! Tacos de asada and carnitas were so tasty and juicy! Flautas were fresh and delicious as well, so filling , new spot from now on !

Love the steak tacos always fresh! Been here about three times never been disappointed. Not much of an area to sit and eat only outside dining allowed.

If you're looking for authentic this is the spot for you trust me I know good food I used to weigh 478 lb I think I know it tastes good..lol

Authentic as it gets! I'm from SW FL, I know good tacos/ mexican cuisine. Outdoor seating only. Fresh is the name of the game here! No leftover, stale tasting food. They have ice cream for the kiddos also.

This place has some of the most authentic tacos I've tasted while living here. I had a taco de asada with both of their homemade hot sauces. It was delicious as well as their taco de pollo y taco de lengua (cow tongue) I also had their taco de chorizo, which I wasn't a big fan of, as it had some sort of red dye in there, which made it look weird. I wouldn't recommend their agua de Horchata as it is not authentic, tastes nothing like horchata, and again has some sort of pink dye in there, which I'm not a fan of. I will be back to try their sopes & flautas and agua de jamaica, which I'm hoping is homemade and tastes authentic. I finished the tacos before I could snap a pic.

This place is the real deal! If you know what authentic Mexican tacos are, come here. We’ve tried approximately 15-20 Mexican restaurants in Central Florida, looking for similar food we ate on the west coast. This place finally met our expectations!

Smaller authentic Mexican spot. Quesadilla was great and only 10$ the agua fresco habiscus flavor was perfect for summer. First time there will be coming back for sure 😁

This is the taco spot your tio warned you about. Amazing food, in-house sauce for tacos and burritos, prompt service, and plenty of decent seating. Highly recommend this spot for anyone in the mood for a good taco or burrito. You won't be disappointed!

Step outside for better than American food. Felt like being out of the country. Eyes bigger than stomach, ordered too much so had plenty to take home and it was still good food at home.

This food is excellent. From the food to the salsas 10 of 10. Deli deli! The service is great too! The girl who took our phone order before we picked it up was so funny and personable. This is how you need to be if your going into food business. Some of the other taco trucks need to take notes. If you are not a people person stay in the back and don't take orders. This place is an awesome spot. They do have seating even though we usually just grab our food and go. Hope they continue with their success.

An excellent place to eat, the food is extremely exquisite, my favorites are the tongue tacos, everything in that place is good, the attention is considerable and the food comes out on time, highly recommended, one of the best places to eat Mexican food in the area. 10/10

The food is nothing short of great. The service is not individually personable but nothing negative. The likely language barrier found with the authenticity tends to come off as unfriendly at times. A mom-and-pops/Food Truck vibe is here...and I'm here for it. My favorite is the Al Pastor tacos!

Update: I returned after being gone for a while. Still the same consistency that I expect coming here. Delicious and affordable. Original review: Absolutely the best tacos ever. Very authentic and fresh and packaged to stay hot during travel. I go almost every week now.

So I Stumbled with This Awesome Place while I was Trying to Find my way Home While Driving on SR 44 and Hills Ave in Deland. I Seriously Recommend it to Anyone!.... Talking About Not Knowing your way Home and Eating at This Jewel.

First time having lunch to go from here and my shredded beef burrito meal was delicious! Best rice & beans I’ve had in a long time! I’ll definitely have to bring my family here for dinner. Keep up the great work!

I got 2 steak tacos and pork taco I added cheese and it came with cilantro, onion, 2 different salsas and lime wedges all for 10 bucks. And it was FANTASTIC. Meat was jucy and tender. An absolute must have in deland.

The tortillas are made by hand by the restaurant, giving a more authentic flavor. The service was very friendly, and the delay of the food was appropriate compared with the number of customers they had. The place is clean and well organized with tables inside for dining as well as outside, plus sitting down bar.

Finally had some authentic tacos here in DeLand! Tried the steak, chicken, marinated steak, and marinated pork. None left me disappointed. Looking forward to trying more of their menu. Oh! They have the good Coke!

Pick up window/outside covered dining, if so wished. The food, though!!! I am awestruck. I literally lifted my hands to the heavens several times and am usually not the type. It was an amazingly delicious experience. We order the tacos- steak, chicken, pastor, chorizo, and the marinated beef (thanks to an awesome guy who recommended). The top two were the pastor 👏 👏 👏 and the marinated beef 😋. Each of the delicious, marinated, tender meats was wrapped in a singular corn tortilla, and it was delicious, sturdy, and just perfect. The sauces, the cilantro... everything on point. 💯 I'll be back many times.

One of the best Mexican restaurants in Deland. Prices are good for the quality you get. Tastes incredible with authentic Mexican flavors. Fast service, food comes in less than 5 minutes the times I’ve been here.

Just got some al pastor and it was legit! Their tomatillo hot sauce is muy sabroso! I’ll definitely be back to try their tamales and Caldo de Camaron.

Best spot for fresh street tacos. The barbacoa is excellent. Staff is super friendly and the service is quick. This place is really worth a visit. Wish there was more outdoor seating.

Finding excellent and authentic, non-chain restaurant Mexican fast food in DeLand is near non-existent. I've personally found only 2 places that I would spend money at to eat edible Mexican food in this town. Today I'm happy to say that I've found a third place that is now my #1 place for fast Mexican food - Taqueria La Fondita! Coming from Chicago, where excellent Mexican eateries are practically on every corner and coming to the food dessert that is DeLand, Taqueria La Fondita is comparable to some of the best that Chicago has to offer. It truly felt and tasted like I was back home in Chicago! Taqueria La Fondita - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

This great local spot recently opened in DeLand, and I had the pleasure of trying it on opening weekend! The food is incredibly fresh and authentic. We ordered the steak quesadilla and carnitas tacos and they were so delicious. The quesadillas had melty, stringy cheese and the tacos were hot and the meat was tender. The portion sizes are great for the prive you pay! The Staff is also very friendly. This location has ample parking which makes it very accessible, as well as both indoor and outdoor seating. I can’t wait to come back and try more of their menu!
