Absolutely the best key lime martini I’ve ever had. I’m not a big drinker but I could drink that every damn day. Bar tender was a whole vibe; loved her sparkly eyeshadow. Had great recommendations. They had the chunkiest cat ever that just chilled with us out front for a hour.

As a Boubon afficionado, I was suprised to find that the Smoked Rum Bar Old Fashion is incredible. The Pain Killer is on par with the original from The #SoggyDollarBar.

The killer redhead was one of the best cocktails I've ever had. Plus they have an amazing bar cat named Captain

Went in for a round of Green tea shots (delish), about a group of 20. Bartender was friendly and fast.

Staff Was very friendly and poured Great drinks. We stayed above the bar and it was a very enjoyable experience. Hosts were great and accommodating. Will definitely stay there again if ever back this way. The pain killer drink was my favorite.

Great place to grab a refreshing drink on Duval street. The bartender is friendly and kept the crowd drinking and smiling. Try the unique corn & oil and the classic Rub punch end with an adult dessert drink- banana spilt for a sweet banana split with a jelly belly kick.

Happened in as we were strolling around Old Town and very glad we did. Great service and with a laid back vibe as it should be in Key West.

My husband and I stopped in here on his birthday trip and had the best time!! We ended up stopping in again the following night! Our bartender, Peter, was so helpful and fun and gave us a great rum selection in our flight. And my mojito was excellent!

If you see this place on south Duval, you have to visit! I’ll gladly provide you with the RX for their Painkiller… so worth the visit as the atmosphere, friendly bartenders who excel in ‘mixology’ and they are totally knowledgeable about Key West. Frankly, I’ve only had the Painkiller each visit to the Keys… why mess with perfection? Be sure to ask to see “The Captain” who is the ‘perrrfect’ bouncer…

Best. Damn. Piña Colada. Period. This is a great spot for the common rum lover, rum purist, pirate, and rum adventurer alike. Don’t like rum? No problem, they can introduce you to this complex yet simply fantastic libation and will be sure to do it with a smile and a twist (even if it is just the twist of that handlebar mustache behind the bar). If you’re reading this review, this is your sign to go visit!

Great place to get a rum drink with good prices. They have nice outside seating and plenty of fans to keep you cool during the warm months. Friend had a painkiller and it was so delicious that he asking, what is life.

Just go to the Papa’s Pillar rum distillery instead. They know how to make a drink, unlike our bartender at the Rum Bar. The drinks were awful and served in a plastic cup.

Much as I hate to leave a bad review, just can’t let yesterday’s experience slide. We walked in, were completely ignored, and were handed two of the worst drinks imaginable after we finally got the bartender’s attention. I love tiki stuff, and the rum selection was beyond impressive, but my jungle bird was essentially a Campari/soda. And my girlfriend’s Dr. Funk was undrinkable. We are both huge tiki enthusiasts, so it was really disappointing. Not a whole lot of effort put in by the barkeep.

I mosied my way into The Rum Bar on a solo day in Key West & it changed my life! hahaha...I don't usually do mixed drinks buuuut,..when in Key West you've gotta try the rum. The bartender said they were famous for their Pain Killers & the Rum Runners so I had both :) The entire menu looked good, so im glad she lended some helpful advice. I started with the Rum Runner & I instantly loosened up & started enjoying the chill atmosphere. I followed up with the Pain Killer honestly can't say which I liked better. They were both SO good!!! Thank you for the kind service & wonderful cocktails!! 🍹

A great selection of rums from many distilleries around the world. As a rum snob, I prefer my rum to taste like rum, not whiskey. If you are the same, then be sure to express that. Otherwise, this is a great little place for getting your rum fix.

This is a great little rum bar off the beaten path but still on Duval. Perfect for an excellent rum drink in a much more intimate and quiet setting than the craziness of the middle of the fun chaos of northern Duval. My wife says the pina colada is the best she’s ever had. I recommend the rum old fashioned.

Stopped in for a beverage. We got the key lime martini and the rum bar old fashioned. Both drinks were excellent. They were busy on a Saturday afternoon and the bartender was keeping up.

Lovely staff with a unique and fun atmosphere both inside and out! Drinks are delicious and their patio seating out front is comfortable! They also offer rooms to plan your next trip to key west!

Bar tender was knowledgeable, service was quick and on point. The atmosphere and patrons made the Rum Bar a must visit if your in Key West. You'll never wonder why the Rum is gone!

It is what it says it is. Rum from all over the world and some really rare stuff. Drinks are excellent. The art on the walls is very nice and with a visit.

Unfortunately our group had a very upsetting experience at this bar. We had a person in our group who asked for a mocktail because she’s pregnant, and the bartender took it as a personal offense arguing that he just couldn’t understand what she wanted (original order was non-alcoholic mojito). She never asked for a discount for the mocktail, nor did she ask for modifications to the original recipe….just no alcohol. I understand that this is a bar but if someone is willing to pay for a drink I think they should be welcomed and not insulted.

Le lieu est vraiment atypique avec ces 100enes de bouteilles de rhum sur le bar. L’accueil est incroyable, le serveur un vrai amour et très sympathique. Le lieu parfait pour découvrir des cocktails au rhum très très bons. Le rapport qualité prix est parfait pour Key west. Bon plan assuré ! Et passez le coucou au petit chat potelé très mignon du guest house.

It's a small place, but a mighty list to choose from!! I enjoyed tasting different rums that were new to me. The Christmas decor was beautiful outside as well.

My hubby and I went here after our flight arrived. Such a fun little nook spot, we each had a beverage and walked around the area. Loved the holiday decor a lot!!! Bartender was very nice and we recommend for anyone to pop in!

Definitely check out this spot on Duval! My boyfriend and I have come here every night on our 5 day trip. The Chaitini is delicious, the banana split, espresso martini, and the key lime martini! Konstantine is the best bartender. Great drinks, great service, and great atmosphere.

No food available...the drinks are phenomenal (especially the Dark n Stormy and the Painkiller drinks!) Drinks were about $$ ... During Fantasy fest in Oct, the place is packed! Great place to watch the Zombie bike parade. Look at the wall of police & firemen patches from all over and belly up to the bar...and be on the lookout for the fattest cat I have ever seen!

Very relaxed atmosphere and AMAZING rum selection. I'm more of a bourbon drinker but they even had some rums I found surprisingly good. Chill patio area too. Great pit stop if you're walking Duval

We were here 3 years ago and loved the Rum bar. Sorry to say the bartender was talking bad about earlier customers. You have a great vibe. Maybe train your staff on these things. I can't completely say bad things because I love the vibe. Just didn't like the staff talking really bad about customers.

Constantine was a phenomenal bartender! We Oder run runner at first and they were excellent. Then we came back again and Ordered rum cherry Pilar old fashion (smoked)! And I got a run daiquiri. Very great craft cocktails. Great drinks. Great service!

We stopped in multiple times during our stay. Each time we had great service amazing drinks and friendly bartenders. Our last night we went there for some last min rum runners and our bartender Constantine was AMAZING he was hilarious and loved to make new drinks. Was a great last night in KW due to Him. We absolutely will be back.

They said this place was super dog friendly, but I think the cat has a different opinion. Fantastic drinks and super chill atmosphere!!

The bartender Peter was great! He made great drinks and was very friendly. He had a great sense of humor, funny and sarcastic but in a nice way, a very dry wit. Everyone was having a great time.

Great Rum bar would of loved to have stayed for a second drink but someone with a good sized dog that had a "don't pet " collar on laying in the middle of the walkway made it tough for myself and other customers to enjoy the place a little more.

My experience of The Rum Bar was one of a magical experience involving a Pain Killer, followed by a Hurricane and a Hemingway Daiquiri. All of the drinks where spectacular and the atmosphere was equally the same. We arrived jut before fourth of July weekend and the bar was set out perfectly. *the finger the the photo was for reference.

Great service! The owner was there along with his cute cat. The bartender was great and I just overall love the vibe and love the drink options.

Visited June 2023 and had a great and generous rum flight. The bartender provided good suggestions and the other patrons were friendly and knowledgeable about rum. Highly recommended!
