Honestly just not very good at all. Begging vegans to have standards lmao. We tried several rolls and sashimi along with a few appetizers and we walked away agreeing that the best thing we had was the dumb fried gyoza - very sad. I expected a place so specialized to be really good at what they make, but that just wasn't the case here. Notable is the lack of vegetable rolls - they have a basic cucumber and avocado, that's it. I've been to several conventional sushi places that have a wider variety of non-fish rolls. You would think that a yam or mushroom roll would be an easy menu addition. They do have a "Super Shitake" roll, but it's actually just a basic green bean roll with some picked shitake sprinkled on top. This is also more or less true with the kimchi roll. Just not very impressive construction or ingredients here. Most of the menu is mock-meat rolls. Definitely unique. Except that they are all similarly very basic and a mix of minimal ingredients, yet they're priced as if you were ordering actual fish. One of the rolls on the menu is over $20 lmao. Get out of here. The faux sashimi was an interesting concept except they're like, paper thin and a set of 3 is $6. Basically paying for air. I couldn't help but compare this place to Aji Mori in Renton, which isn't a vegan place, yet has around a dozen vegetable/vegan rolls that are all wildly more impressive, larger, and cheaper. The chefs here really just need to rethink the menu. A lot of this feels like sushi I could make at home, and I am utterly incapable in the kitchen. The mock shrimp is OK. Everyone raves about the dragon roll here, and it was aight. But certainly not $16 worth for what is effectively a tempura veggie roll with a squirt of eel sauce on top. You can walk into a high end thai restaurant next door and get an entire entree for the price of one of the rolls here. I know it's not vegan but maybe just eat an egg and stop punishing yourself by going to places like this. Also, if I recall, they charge $6 for miso soup here which should be a federal crime. Very very nice waiter though!!

My partner has a very long list of allergies which makes it very hard for us to eat outside. Samurai sushi really accommodates us and made sure that no one of the allergens were contained in the food they proposed to him. Sushis were my favorite food before I became vegetarian. I really didn’t think that vegan sushis could be so good! Really recommend

This has been our favorite restaurant since we moved here 2 years ago. We’ve been here many times, always leaving satisfied. Until this last visit. The owner used to be engaging and personable, recently we return and he acts like he’s never seen us before. The presentation and food used to be excellent, we were very disappointed with the food , the entire experience this last visit. For $16 per roll, it was all sub par. Spicy edamame was even disappointing. I hope this place can get it together.

Visited a great vegan sushi spot, and it was a great experience. I tried the Ring of Fire roll, which was intensely spicy and full of flavor—perfect for heat lovers. The Mango Tango roll offered a sweet, refreshing balance. The Green Goddess roll was a vibrant and crisp medley of greens. The portion size was on a smaller side

10/10 Raymar is funny and gives great service. The sushi is on point and unlike anything else we’ve ever gotten to enjoy. The rolls were great but I also really loved the vegan salmon sashimi with the lemon juice sprinkled over, as recommened. Will being coming back to Seattle soon for more.

This is a MUST for excellent vegan sushi the quality and service is outstanding- our server Raymar went above and beyond with recommendations and they did not disappoint. Superb experience-I highly recommend the Queen Anne roll even if you’re not vegan.

Everything we ordered was incredible - miso soup, seaweed salad, inari nigiri, and lots of rolls (green goddess, bliss, ring of fire, curry, and kimchi)! The presentation was beautiful and service was super friendly. We hope to be back soon to try the cheesecake!

Amazing family run sushi place that satisfies every sushi craving without any of the weird ingredients other sushi places in Seattle use to make vegan friendly sushi. Service is always prompt and with a smile and the patio is a gem on summer nights. A must try for any sushi lover!

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! As a non vegan who loves sushi, I was skeptical about whether or not I would like vegan sushi. Boy, was I wrong. The rolls here are as good as regular fish and the service is amazing! Raymar and his brother Ray have created a warm, familial environment with some of the best vegan sushi on the west coast. GO NOW!!!

Best vegan sushi I had in Seattle!! 🙌🏻 I love that it is a 100% vegan!! 🌱🚫🐟 No worries about cross contamination if you allergic to seafood/fish, since it’s fully vegan. Staff is super friendly. You can sit inside, which is climatized, or outside to enjoy the summer weather.

Really incredible service and atmosphere but most importantly, the sushi was incredible. All of the rolls were great, especially the spicy tuna for me. Really not sure how they do it! Got some "salmon" sashimi to isolate the flavor and just that on its own was perfect texture and still had a good amount of fishiness to it. Will be coming back!!

Sushi Samurqi's all-vegan menu is impressive! I ordered the Red Dragon and Maui rolls, and both were exceptional. The Red Dragon had a perfect blend of flavors and textures, while the Maui was fresh and vibrant. The presentation was beautiful, and the service was prompt and friendly. Highly recommended for vegan sushi lovers!

Relieved to find vegan sushi in a major city (which can be pretty hard to find). Rolls were good but cream cheez tasted a little off. Had a nice time, was a bit distracted from watching the chefs play video games on the big tv behind them. Don’t see that often.

Admittedly I had doubts that vegan sushi could ever compare to real fish based options. Heck was I wrong! The sushi served at The Sushi Samurai was everything I hoped it’d be and more! I was pleasantly surprised! Their openness to accommodate dietary restrictions and their communication of food allergens in each menu item was refreshing to encounter. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant again and again, as well as recommending it to anyone that wants a great meal!

We went there for Father's Day, since I am vegan and I am the father 😁, and I love sushi. I didn't read any reviews, and I had pretty low expectations, because vegan sushi is usually... boring. Well, this was amazing! My favorite dish was the Ring of Fire Roll, which is actually very spicy (by Seattle) standards, but everything was great!

Absolutely wonderful. Reserved a nice lil table using Google and the man who served us was very kind and attentive. Cool lil robot brings the dishes. Found free parking right in front. My only complaint was the miso soup didn't have very much miso in it. Really watery. But everything else was delicious. Really cool variations of rolls

First time trying sushi samuri and I loved it. The menu is expansive with tons of colorful and creative options. Lots of flavor and texture options to explore here. We ordered 5 different rolls, an appetizer and a desert. Service was prompt and inviting.

Best vegan sushi place I’ve tried so far in Seattle. They have a lot of varieties. We tried Red Dragon, Queen Anne and Curry roll. They were all very delicious but Queen Anne was the best.

This is a great sushi spot for vegans/vegetarians. I have had sushi at other Seattle restaurants too, The Sushi Samurai has way more options for different flavors. We got the vegan Gyoza as an appetizer. Curry Roll was the favorite of the evening. We also had the Samurai Roll, tasted great. Excellent experience dining in, small space though, recommend reservations.

It's amazing that we can have a sushi restaurant that is 100% plant-based and delicious to boot. The consensus of the table was that we would not have been able to tell that every single roll we ate was completely vegan! This itched the scratch our friend had for fish since he went vegetarian about a year and a half ago. On top of that, the staff was super friendly and attentive. Needless to say, we'll be visiting again. Something I will call out is that some of the rolls can be pricey and the size of some of them were on the smaller side. It's understandable given that they're using faux fish products which I imagine isn't cheap.

Amazing food, amazing service. Have been looking forward to checking this place out since we moved to WA. Absolutely worth the hour and a half drive to get here. I will be dreaming about the sushi and cheesecake. My mouth is watering just writing this review and I cannot wait for an excuse to come back.

Had an outing with my girlfriend and her mom just now, and the server spilled my hot tea all over my pants. This was before all the food came out, so I spent the rest of my meal sitting with wet pants. This is understandable, everybody makes mistakes, but we weren’t even offered any form of apology. We were charged the full price, and even had to pay for dessert. I can’t believe this is the experience I had, once again, anything can happen, but as a guest, I believe I should’ve been offered some sort of compensation for sitting in discomfort for the duration of my visit. At least the food was good, but service left a lot to be desired clearly.

Love this place. We come all of the time for plant based sushi, it’s the best I’ve ever had and the customer service is fantastic.

Visiting from Houston. This was on our list of restaurants to eat at because the pictures looked so good and they are full veg. The food tastes as good as they look and owner is super nice. We thought we'd have leftovers to take home but we were wrong!

This place offers a unique dining experience, where the presence of a robot server adds a charming flair to the ambiance. Though the service was a bit slow, I indulged in meticulously prepared plant-based sushi rolls bursting with flavor. The Crunchy Shrimp, PNW, Red Dragon, and Kimchi were my personal favorites.

As a vegetarian, having a vegan sushi place is a blessing. We ordered 9 different types of rollls and sushis and the notable items were Red Dragon, Samurai, Mango, and Kimchi for me. The service was kind of slow that day, I don’t know if that is an anomaly. There was only one person working on all the orders. Ended up spending longer than we planned for.

We had to wait for over an hour to get our food, we had to wait 30 minutes just to get the appetizer. They have a major shortage of staff and the food wasn’t even worth the wait. The food tasted bland and the quantity of food was so minimal. Wouldn’t be coming back here.

Incredibly delicious food, great service, very cute spot. We had the Orion, Maui, and crunchy salmon rolls and all of them were fantastic. Super stoked to have a place like this around, and will be reccomending it to everybody I know.

Finding this place was a stroke of luck. I'm vegan and finding an entirely vegan sushi restaurant made me very happy. Our server was incredibly friendly and was from an area near where we're from and we had a lot to chat about. I can't remember the names of all of the rolls we tried but everything we had was so good. The space is quaint and comfortable. We love the Queen Anne area as well, it was easy to park and the perfect spot for a Friday night. We will definitely be back when we visit Seattle again.

IT'S NOT FISH! It looks like fish and the texture is firm like fish, but when you see it irl you can tell it doesn't quite catch the light the same way, and the flavor is lacking the distinctive taste that salmon has, and the deep buttery flavor of tuna. However, the rolls we got were all very flavorful and well-prepared. I especially liked the crunchy salmon roll, I think is what it was. And the one we got with tempura "shrimp". The seaweed salad was delicious too. I would definitely like to come back.

Everything from the customer service to the sushi was excellent! The atmosphere is very casual and laid back. I loved the vibe! I had the crunchy shrimp sushi and it was delicious. My wife and I also had other types of sushi as well. I am vegetarian, but I am also allergic to shellfish, so I am glad I found this place so that I can have a plant based shellfish taste. The sushi did not appear vegan or taste vegan, and the taste was awesome! I highly recommend Sushi Samurai! We also loved Mio the robot who assists the servers. She is so cute!

The rice was so undercooked... Really bad.. Had spicy salmon and shrimp tempura roll. I liked only Gyoza. I should've complained at that time. The separate two payments are mixed. Wrong card, wrong price.. Not satisfied.. kinda ruined our dinner in my trip

Between the adorable service robot, the food, wait staff and the atmosphere, I can tell you that this is certainly one of my favorite spots on the hill. The sushi is vegan yet almost impossible to tell the difference, with a flavor profile and aesthetic that are sure to dazzle. We also ordered a nice bottle of warm sake. All in all this restaurant is a great investment. Looking forward to my next visit!

Sushi Samurai is a delightful little restaurant that left me pleasantly surprised. I was amazed to find plant-based options for tuna, salmon, and shrimp on the menu. While I've never tried the real seafood, the plant-based alternatives were surprisingly delicious. Every dish we ordered was excellent. We started with the flavorful Miso soup and edamame. The Katana Roll, Ring of Fire, and Crispy Shrimp Rolls were all highlights of the meal. Overall, the food was fantastic. The prices were reasonable, and the ambiance was enhanced by the novelty of having a robot food runner. It was an experience worth trying out. One small note: The Kimchi Roll was decent, but not as impressive as the other dishes.

I really love Sushi Samurai! It's so nice having an all vegan sushi place to go to. They are very friendly and hard working, and clearly put a lot of care into their sushi rolls! I've taken several non-vegans here and they have really enjoyed the quality of the sushi, sharing how they'd want to come back again.

The venue is cozy and very clean and the staff were super friendly. We ordered an array of sushi and goyza. The gyozas tasted amazing and most of the sushi did too, however the crispy prawn didn't taste like anything. While we liked the place, I feel the prices were quite high for what you get.

When my partner and I went here for my.birthday dinner, both of our jaws literally dropped when we took the first bite of their tuna roll. Truly phenomenal and by far the best sushi experience I've had as a vegan. The service was also incredible, with our server being incredibly friendly and attentive without being overbearing. I've been recommending this place to every vegan and non-vegan alike. Fortunately I work nearby so will certainly be back again when I feel like treating myself. Though honestly the prices aren't even that crazy (for Sushi in Seattle, mind you). All vegans owe it to themselves to give this place a try.

This was my first experience with vegan sushi! Attended a birthday dinner for a vegan friend here and I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised at how delicious the food was. My wife and I tried the salmon sashimi, crunchy salmon roll, PNW roll, Maui roll, and the fire roll. I highly recommend all of it, I truly had to be convinced that the salmon was not actual salmon. The only drawback was the wait time. Not sure if they were short staffed on a busy Saturday night, but the food took quite a while to come out. Otherwise I would absolutely dine here again.

I eat a lot of meat and this place was delicious. Didn't even miss not eating real fish. Ramon (maybe raymond?) had excellent service, give this to man a raise he was doing it all. Highly recommended!

Incredible place. I have been twice in two weeks because it's so delicious. The service is wonderful and the ingredients are fresh. I think the prices are very reasonable. I recommend making a reservation a week out, but we waited both times and it was about 20-30 minutes.

Want to have your mind blown? You truly will think you are eating raw seafood and be plesently surprised that it's vegan. The staff are great and attentive, everything is tasty - give it a try :)

The sushi here blew my mind! We had the crispy shrimp roll, the red dragon roll, the green goddess roll, and the Seattle tempura roll (the entire roll was tempura, so decadent!). We had vegan and omni members of our party, and the omnis said they would not have known that the sushi was vegan. It tasted just like the real thing. Incredible! It felt so luxurious to be able to order anything off the menu and know that it is all vegan. The prices were very reasonable for Seattle. They have a fantastic enclosed and heated outdoor space that is dog-friendly, so our little dog was able to join us. On top of all that, the people who work there are super nice and friendly. We will definitely be back. This is a great place to take vegans and non-vegans. I can't wait to bring more people here! UPDATE: Have since returned and loved everything else we have tried, including an amazing cheesecake from Burns Vegan Bakery.

If you are a vegan, a vegetarian, veg-curious, love sushi, or just love good food, you HAVE to try out Samuri Sushi in Queen Anne!! The only other plant-based sushi restaurant I've been or know about is in San Diego. This gem is one of my favorite sushi restaurants of all time. The staff is super nice, it has a chill atmosphere, and the food was OUTSTANDING! My meat and fish eating partner even loved it and has recommended it to many of our friends. Street parking was pretty easy for us on Sunday evening. I do recommend you get a reservation. It's a small joint. We'll be back!!

Wow, what a find! Very deceptively vegan, which appealed to all in our party of four. We had some additional dietary restrictions, and they went above and beyond to accommodate with suggested substitutions.

Really delicious vegan sushi! We loved how many options they were and everything tasted so good. We especially liked the Dragon (the seared inari on top gave it such a nice smoky flavor) and the Maui (the tempura green onions so nice and crisp)!! Our server was really friendly and checked on us throughout our dining. Apparently, it can get really busy so be prepared for a wait since it's a small place or make reservations beforehand.

THE place for vegan sushi!!! Better than in NYC or in Austin, TX (haven’t tried in other cities yet). The staff is incredibly friendly, and I have brought all of my friends there :) even non-vegans love it! If I lived in the neighborhood I’d be at risk of losing most of my paycheck to them haha. My favorite rolls are the Mango Tango and the Samurai roll.

As of today December 23rd, there is a sign on the door that said due to a family emergency restaurant will be closed until further notice. We've always had a great experience here and the food and service are fabulous.

Amazing Sushi place!! I am a vegetarian and it was amazing to see that I can order anything from the entire menu. We ordered some 6-7 dishes of Sushis and everything was absolutely delicious. Food was sooo good that we wanted to try almost all dishes. We will definitely visit again :)

I feel bad for not taking photos 😭 This place was *amazing*. We brought some friends here for a birthday - it was amazing. The gyoza was super hot and mega crispy and delicious, all the rolls were fantastic. Honestly I would have a really hard time telling the rolls were not real fish. Better than many non-vegan sushi places we've had. The staff was also really nice. We'll definitely be coming back here. As generally COVID conscious people, we *really* hope they can make winter-adaptions for their patio. We made an exception to eat inside this time, but we probably won't be back till the spring or summer to enjoy their pergola! But I hope you decide to support this rare gem of the Seattle vegan scene.

I love the selection and taste of vegan sushi and the miso soup is great too. Must visit! Two people need to order at least three rolls to be satisfyingly full.
