Best Chinese in Ocala!! Very courteous staff. Food is always hot and delicious!!

I will NEVER go back Wok N Roll II Chinese on Hwy 200 in the Big lots shopping center. A friend & I went here for dinner Sunday evening. After we ordered our eat- in meals, I wanted to a glass of ice water. The lady behind the counter couldn't give me a glass of water & there was no ice in the restaurant? The only drinks they had were soft drinks in a refrigerated cooler. In my over 60 years, I have NEVER ever gone into a restaurant that can't provide a glass of ice water for their customer. They lost my future business!

I’m super disappointed with this place. After reading the reviews I decided to try since I’m new in the area. Saw the Thai food on the menu and ordered the Chicken Pad Thai. It looked and tasted nothing like it, I couldn’t eat it. Maybe their Chinese food is good but I’m not sure if a wanted to give it a try.

We struggled to find a good Chinese food restaurant for a couple years and would drive a long distance to ensure we were not going to be disappointed in the quality of food. We lost hope. After some time of doing this we decided to try again. We are glad we did and will continue to enjoy this restaurant. Five stars ⭐️.

Good Chinese takeout. Gone a few times now and have not been disappointed. Have tried no other Chinese yet since I'm living in this area so I don't really have anything else to compare it to. Right now though it hasn't left me looking for another.

Rice ok. Green beans a little over cooked. Beef had the consistency and texture of a soggy piece of shoe leather or a rubber sponge. Super gross. Don't get anything with beef. I guess it's just for flavoring and not to eat sort of like a bay leaf. In that case, it's way not worth the money.

Food is always fresh and delicious. The General Tso Chicken extra spicy is out of this world. Egg rolls are amazing, too!!

Third Chinese restaurant was a charm! Recently moved to Ocala and finally found our "go to" Chinese restaurant. The food was excellent. Highly recommend!

Good menu and good food. A couple of tables for eating in, but mostly good for takeout.

Ordered the Mongolian beef special with a wonton soup. Soup was crap, no wonton crisps offered, wontons in soup looked old. Mongolian beef looked more like a pepper steak, half the plate was onions, had decent flavor. The fried rice was tasteless, barely any veggies or pork on this rice. If you are looking for a place that cooks with light salt and flavor. This is it! Worst oriental food I've had in Florida....

Just moved here and said let's try it....well....it was DELICIOUS!!!! the orange chicken was perfect...a bit spicy but that's exactly how it should be. The pork lo mein was really really good. The egg drop soup was a bit salty but every place always does that. WE WILL BE USING THIS PLACE OFTEN!!!! 👍👍😊

I was really looking forward to some good Chinese food, so I read the reviews and chose this place. The food was awful! The fried rice was just brown rice that tasted like it was from a box. There are no vegetables in it at all. The egg roll was the worst I have ever tasted, and I had chicken curry. No curry, mostly cooked celery and onions, and they were overcooked. I would not recommend this place at all!

Ordered 2 meals + 2 soups. Associate refused to give a glass of water, saying we must buy their bottled water if we want anything to drink. I never had a restaurant refuse to provide a glass of water. She said it very curtly almost with a cross tone. We ate in the restaurant. The egg drop and the hot sour soup were not flavorful compared to other Asian restaurants. They crammed a bunch of large mushrooms into the hot & sour. The sesame chicken had a very small sprinkling of sesame seeds in the middle of pasty clump of chicken over very dry rice. There were only 2 little pieces of broccoli in the dish. If your looking for delicious Asian food and some polite, caring service, I would look further down the road. Very disappointed!

I tried Wok N Roll for the first time December 2023. There is a good amount of parking, but you may have to walk a bit if they and/or the business next door are busy. It was fairly quiet when I arrived. I did not pre-order ahead . So I had to wait for it to be prepared. But it didn't take long. Actually, it was fairly quick. So I was out the door in a fair amount of time. I found the prices to be decent. Prices are subjective and everyone has their own idea. Obviously I would be fine if it cost less. But Ive seen higher. Wok N Roll has plenty of condiments for your needs. They're being located right in front of the counter makes in nice and easy. The food was pretty good. Not the best I've ever had, but pretty good. I got a chicken dish for my entree. I do question the quality and actual amount of chicken in my dinner. Since I'm sure I will try them again, I might get the same thing just to see. If I find my questioning the amount of chicken in my dinner to be un-founded, I will edit this review to reflect that. All in all, I found Wok N Roll to be decent. As such, we will probably order from them again in the future.

Usually really good, but today the beef lo mein was so salty it's inedible. The fried rice tasted like leftovers heated with water. Really bummed, almost $40...

The wife and I gave this first try actually very good food. Everything was there. We ordered general chows chicken, and bourbon chicken with two eggrolls. Everything was awesome.

Chicken Fried Rice - More like NO Chicken Burned Rice. God, this was bad. Worst we've had in Ocala. No veggies in the dish at all, maybe one onion sliver in the whole order. I think we found four pieces of fatty, bleached thigh meat. Chicken Lo mein - Was Lo END. Again, no chicken and no vegetables, and so greasy it slid off the fork. Just rename the dish Gristle Low Mein and you're all set. Crab Rangoon - More like Crab Ran-Guck. All rangoon and NO CRAB. We could not find a single piece of crab. And no fortunes in the fortune cookie, just some inane sayings like, "A red sunset is pretty." Maybe real fortunes are a hate crime now. Who knows. Yes, it IS cheap. And now we know why.

The service and food on this place is amazing. I was coming back from a trip and wanted Chinese food. I was expecting to get back home at 3:30pm. So I ordered food over the phone and placed my pick up time from 4:30pm-5:00pm. Due to hecka traffic on the road I wasn’t able to pick my order up till 6:30ish. When I got to Wok N’ Roll the staff re made my order so my food was not cold. Not only was I late and they had ever right to give me cold food, but they didn’t they truly care for they customers needs, and service is top tear. I will definitely eat here again and you should too.

This is my favorite Chinese Takeout restaurant in Ocala! Their food is always fresh and delicious. They have plenty of vegetarian options and use unique vegetables like zucchini and eggplant.

You're buying food here, not atmosphere. The egg drop wonton soup is great and the entrees are well prepared.

I got the Thai food for me and Chinese for the others. I ordered 2 meals of coconut shrimp. Was really good and the sauce came on the side. So, the shrimp coating stayed crunchy, and you controlled how much coconut sauce you wanted. I ordered Thai food because I wanted to try something different. I ordered a meal that had eggplant, pork, beef, chicken and shrimp with an order of Thai pineapple fried rice. I was totally blown away with the meal I chose. I loved the sweet and a little spicy combination of the meal. And the eggplant looked to be either Japanese eggplant or Oriental Charm eggplant. But either way, I'm a new avid Thai food eater.

Been here for take out several times in the past. But today, the same foods ( red Thai curry chicken and pad Thai shrimp) were just awful. No curry flavor, just vinegar. Pad Thai was rather tasteless. A shame, but they are off my go to list!!

Delicious! Palate Pleasing! Tried several dishes, they were all were tasty, and cooked just right, vegetables still had life to them. The chef uses his spices diligently, NO MSG, just the perfect amount of flavour. Try the Chicken/Shrimp w. Chinese Boy Choy. This vegetable never had it so good! Loved the Mongolian Beef, a real tongue pleaser, so is the Eggplant w. Garlic Sauce. Worth the experience! The staff is pleasant and helpful. Aries, very kind young man. Kudos!

Terrible. Won ton soup was AWFUL. Says pork won ton, however, not sure what meat was really used in those dumplings. And the noodle dumpling itself was terrible. I had a few bites of the Kung Pau and again, the worst. I'm surprised people actually have good things to say about this place. No frills eatery all the way around. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR YOUR $$$ I'm sticking with Yummy House...

Chicken fried rice, pork and bean sprouts, sesame chicken All so bland it was almost inedible. Zero enjoyment. Next day I I was able to salvage the rice with my own Chinese spice and oils. I stopped ordering from this place years ago, thought maybe new owners since they now have Thai food. Well if they did, there still are better restaurants around than W&R

Use to be the best Chinese takeout but now they are about the same as all the others. We have been going here for 4 years but something changed in the last year. The food was lacking flavor. We stopped going a few months ago because it was too expensive to get bland food but we decided to try again. My husband got orange chicken with chicken low mein. At first it looked like a pile of chicken but as he ate it, it was mostly just breading. Not many chicken pieces. The low mein tasted fishy but did have a lot of small chicken pieces. I got honey chicken with fried rice. It was ok, the chicken was dry and it lacked flavor but there was a lot of chicken. The egg rolls also tasted weird/ different than the past. The egg drop soup was good and hot though. We will probably not be back because it just took expensive to get food that just doesn't taste right. The prices went up 2-3 dollars, like most restaurants, but the quality went way down.

My husband and I just tried this place for the first time. Food was good but while he got what he ordered (ordered over the phone and repeated back correctly), I didn’t get what I wanted, which was Szechuan Chicken. It neither looked nor tasted like it’s supposed to. It wasn’t spicy (wrong) in a light brown sauce (wrong) with a lot of mixed vegetables (wrong again). I’m guessing it was Chicken with Mixed Vegetables. According to my husband, there were no other customers to account for making the mistake. Unfortunately, my husband didn’t notice it until he got it home (take out). We may try again because the food really was done well if not correctly in my case. He will just check everything before he leaves from now on.

Ordered for lunch today and wasn't expecting to be impressed by the food, but I was pleasantly surprised. The chicken curry was very tender and flavorful. The veggies fresh and not too soft. The wonton soup was incredible! Flavorful and savory without being salty. Fried rice was also perfect and not loaded with salt like many others I've had. I will be ordering from here again, this place is great.

Chicken curry was almost all onions. I found two carrots, two green peppers, and they were hard and uncooked. The chicken texture was so soft it was awful. Not worth eating.

WOW, what a difference in 6 months. We just returned from up north for the winter. We’ve always had good food here but tonight it was not. The Won Ton Soup was really good…the spring rolls were just ok but very small….the quart of chicken fried rice had only enough chicken for the first top 1/3 of the quart, there was absolutely no veggies or egg, only a trace of onion and 5 sprouts. Very bland. We’re so disappointed. We won’t be back…

My favorite when I'm craving Chinese.

Carry out Beef Lo Mein. It was good.

I was not impressed at all. The sesame chicken had hard dark chunks of what seemed to be cartilage type stuff in it. The crab Rangoon was good and so was the sweet and sour chicken. But the sesame chicken was disgusting.

Best Chinese in town. The Pineapple Fried Rice is out of this world. And the Cream Cheese Puffs are awesome.

The establishment was clean but I didn't like the dark gravy they have so many make sure you know which gravy I think it brown gravy that I wanted but she gave me something else other than that the shrimp fried rice was good with or without gravy

Excellent Mongolian beef, boneless spare ribs, s&s chicken and the absolute best pork fried rice I've had in the state! The red curry from their Thai menu is outstanding. I'm slowly working my way through the entire menu. 😊👍 These are good people and deserve your business.

Have our "usual" chicken dishes 3-4x/mo (for nearly 2 years!)... they are truly consistently delicious! Grateful we found a good Chinese restaurant close to home. They DON'T use MSG; glad about that!

This little mom and pops needs a little bit of work on the inside. There is no dining in, only take out. Portions are not to big and thought it was a bit on the expensive side. Bought a seafood platter from their lunch specials 2 egg rolls and a large wonton soup and it was $25 dollars. The seafood platter was mostly veggies with about 6 shrimp.

Placed phone order for pickup on the way home. Everything was delicious and still hot when unpacked for super. Wonderful!

Everything was good except my hubby's sweet and sour shrimp because the shrimp was mushy if that makes sense. The people are friendly.

I just got lunch from here and it's absolutely delicious. I got chicken chow mei fun and beef with garlic sauce. Tender meat and flavorful sauces, not too much and not too little. Food is hot and fresh. Bountiful high quality vegetables. Can't speak for the rice, didn't have any.

This is our go-to Chinese take out restaurant. Food has always been crazy good, fast service and large menu selection. The steamed dumplings and Mongolian beef are my 2 favorites to order from here. Pork lo mein and sweet and sour chicken are also tasty.

Their food is really good & tasty! I ordered the shrimp and broccoli with white rice. Really happy I found this place! Also they did a nice job sealing their entrance, keeping precautions.

Wok 'N Roll ll has a safe set-up. We ordered over the phone. Tom payed for our order and picked it up at a plexi-glass window without having to go inside the restaurant. Our meals were temperature warm, plentiful, reasonably priced, tasty and our order was correct. Tom had General Tso's Chicken, Fried Rice and an egg roll. I had Orange Chicken, white rice and two yummy Spring Rolls. I choose to eat with chop-stix...Tom prefers his fork. One of our fortune cookies had a funny message

Real meat in the general tso chicken!!! Pork fried Rice had decent flavor and decent amount of meat in it. I knocked off a star because their fried crab sticks were really bland, but only place nearby that even offers them
