The lack of info online with prices and menu options and then the added 4% up charge at the end to process my card and also the fact they are open 2 days a week is the logic behind my review. Lunch items were all priced at $18 a plate. They did comp us the fried bread appetizer and it tasted like a funnel cake without the sugar and came with some type of strawberry spread. 3/5 stars. I had the beef dish and soup. It was kinda like a beef stew in a gravy over a home made noodle. 2/5- nothing special here. Gf had the chicken dish. It was bland and also served over the same kinda noodle. Soup appetizer that was included goulash was alright. Reminded me of beef veggie soup from progresso. 3/5 For $44 lunch for 2 people - I won’t return. I encourage them to be more transparent with the menu and pricing. 11/05/2023: MIMOSA TIMEEEEE….haha kidding😂 went here yesterday since it was a 8 min drive my man’z house. I ordered the biscuits, eggs on the side and a orange mimosa. Their oranges are freshly squeezed btw! It was a nice atmosphere, Marc or Mark was my server and he was really friendly and always checking up on me. The other staff members were too :) They are a tip-less restaurant, prices on the menu are priced so that everyone working their has a live-able income. I do suggest bringing cash to tip, which they all split. Oh and they also give you a mini sample of their waffles!

09/06/2023: Absolutely the best restaurant meal I have ever had. The food was amazing. we literally had leftovers for 3 days. The beans the roles the salad was unbelievable. I asked them to cut the stake into two pieces for the way I would like it cooked and they did !!! I cannot say enough positive about the restaurant unbelievable!! 30/04/2023: My one regret is that I only discovered this place 3 weeks into my 5+ weeks stay in Portland which was a short 5 minute walk from where I lived. Marty the owner rescued me by fixing my hiking pole used as a walking aid post knee surgery during the historic snow back in late February while he was out shoveling snow. Ended up bringing my work to get done there at least 3-4 times weekly for the remaining time in Portland and Marty + his baristas were all fabulous. The atmosphere was conducive for working and there are a couple of cafe regulars- David, Jaime and another professor who would be at their same spots on the long table working. Positive vibes all around and connections made too. Could not recommend this place even more to anyone looking for a regular spot to remote work and the staff are always chirpy. Marty if you're seeing this, love from 12,000+ miles away in Singapore!
