Characteristic place with internal and external space with good food. I stopped for an American style brunch. Friendly, smiling and attentive staff. Worth a visit and a stop even just to drink a soda.

Omelets and sandwiches are amazing cheese melted to perfect would recommend sitting outside but definitely a everyday spot if visiting

The food is always great and everyone seemed to be nice except our waiter Juan M . Even though we were being respectful when he had his attitude, he just handed us the check without even knowing if we wanted anything else, his attitude continued when we wanted the check split 2 ways and when one of the cards didn't go through, he announced it out loud and raise the card in the air. My friend then realized he gave him the wrong card and gave him a new one and Juan proceeded to say out loud "oh yeah are you going to keep on giving me cards until you can pay? " we told him it was an honest mistake and he then announced " ok this one is good" We didn't seem to be the only table, he rolled his eyes while walking away after the table next to us wanted dessert. Juan M clearly doesn't want to work or have any people skills.

Excellent food in generous portions, we divided one into 2 and we were full.. 1950s fast food environment like in a TV series.. good service with water brought as soon as you sat down and always attentive

I left my apartment and wandered over to Washington to grab an orange pack of American Spirit and find something for lunch. I stopped at my usual spot. Strike one- No American Spirit. No avocado for my sandwich. It recently changed ownership. Go figure. Unmoored, unmotivated and unsure of what I would find for lunch, I wandered down Washington, a perfect street for the unmoored, unmotivated and unsure. Stop one: the convenience store for my smokes. The lady at the counter let me light my first cigarette of the month with a lighter on the counter since they didn’t have matches. What a gem. I headed out and took a left on eleventh, drawn to Miami Med. Strike two- it wasn’t opened yet. Google maps can be so disappointing when the opening times are off. I stepped into the shade of a blue fabric awning and made a suggestion on maps to adjust the restaurant’s opening times. Done. Then she called to me. The gleaming stainless steel, the glass, the memories of wilder times on South Beach- I crossed the street to the Diner. It did NOT disappoint. I’m a local, and usually avoid the “tourist” spots, but I’m glad I didn’t this time. I walked in and the hostess met me with a million dollar smile. Sit anywhere, she said. It was lunch on a Wednesday so I had the pick of the litter. I chose the diner counter. The built-in stools, upholstered in red were ready for me. Almost immediately my server came to me, gave me a tall glass of ice water and the menu. He was super friendly, super professional. It was a refreshing change for South Beach. I chose quickly. Scrambled eggs, grits and whole wheat toast. It came quickly, brought to me by a man who looked like the cook, and it was damn good. Real eggs, real butter. It hit the spot and I decided that the 11th Street Diner was going to be in my regular rotation. After I ate I enjoyed the authentic diner interior for a delicious minute, paid, and walked home.

Breakfast potato (the few I got) were bland and just boiled in water with dome spices to make them looked cooked. Outside space is super hot due to lack of breeze.. eggs were ok. Pls do better...

We had breakfast here twice and I can say that the waffles are the best in Miami not to mention the excellent milkshakes

We didn’t get to try the food as the server was so rude. He didn’t know how to smile and was so impatient. When asked if they could make virgin mojito instead of alcoholic, we received a flat out ‘no’ with no explanation. Then we were rushed to make an order; my mother hadn’t been to a diner before so was undecided. The server told her ‘you have to make a decision’ but before she could, he walked off saying ‘oh well you don’t want anything’. Then we walked out; this kind of place doesn’t deserve our money.

It has everything you could want from a dinner. The slightly retro atmosphere, a warm and attentive welcome, a very complete and typical menu, the food is very good, don't hesitate! A very nice little extra: there is a changing table ALSO for the men! THANKS!

My Philly cheese sandwich tasted okay, but I've had better ones. Unfortunately I had to order the fries with my sandwich for $3 extra while they come with the burger. You're in Miami Beach, but it's a New York style diner. Big menu, big portions, and good value. There are a lot of fancy spots around it, but this is classy enough and you'll walk out feeling like you had a great meal. Good shakes, good Cubano, and spot on fries.

Typical American dinner. Very friendly and understanding staff. Very friendly boss. Extremely affable and professional waiter. Salads, burgers, ribs, "signature pork ribs with apple and grapes", fresh and good. It was our last meal in Miami after 12 days on the West Coast. The best dinner we have encountered. 🤩😍💕

The manager was really rude, he is Colombian, the rest of the workers were friendly. When there was half an hour before closing he almost threw us out of the place.

Food was okay. I find it mediocre as they gave me a sandwich full of lettuce and tomatoes with less meat (overpowering taste of garlic) with a side of chips that you can probably buy in a supermarket. For a $25 sandwich, I would expect atleast a better quality of chips, not from a store-bought chips. Service, meh. Very nice location, I agree Ps. Beware, they include the “suggested” tip in your total bill. Another overrated “themed” restaurant.

Was there for the first time 10 years ago and now the next time. Apart from the great ambience, it tastes good. Having eaten a lot of burgers during our stay in the USA, this method of preparation would rank high. We had burgers with fries. Mexicana and Vermont, it was delicious! The service was perfect during our visit. Conclusion: If you want a good burger with typical diner style and very good service, this is the place for you.

We were immediately given a seat at the counter, which was fine with us. Felt like an American film. The service was very attentive, everything was explained and our glasses were never empty. The food was very tasty and the portions were really big. We fully recommend the diner.

A good Diner is sometimes undervalued, but definately shouldn't be. Just because it doesn't have fancy linens or an upscale vide doesn't mean the star of the show......the food....isn't amazing. I'm not sure what Diners Drive In's and Dives featured about this diner, bucause their menu is huge, something for everyone without a doubt. The Cubano Eggs benedict was amazing, but if they have it; definately get the pork belly benedict. The other cool thing is they have a combo meal that gives you the sweet and savory, no more are the days of having to pick, they will give you a little bit of everything, eggs, pancake, bacon, slice of french toast, more places should have that option. They also have an impressive list of burgers, so if you're feeling in the mood give their bugers a go.

Food is rather standard diner food, nothing too special, but the ambiance inside the railroad car is really cool. The Florida map placemats were my favorite touch! Only worth it if you can sit inside, IMO

I had just left the Art Deco Museum on Ocean Drive and was on my way to catch the next bus when I was walking by his diner. Immediately I stopped and saw all the elements of Aet Deco outside and the appeal was too much for me to pass up. I stepped inside and it was like stepping back in time to a space of softened ambition and exciting charm. I immersed myself in the ambience to cleanse my mind from that Miami Beach street vibe. Great crowd, quiet, and clean. I didn't have enough time to get a full meal but I did get a milkshake to go for the bus. If I find myself in Miami during my journeys in this world I will be sure to stop here again for that art deco recharge. Thank you for existing on this corner of the concrete jungle 11th Street Diner and preserving the rich history of art deco!

Super friendly service! Food more than ok, best coffee ever.

Stopped there with my wife while visiting family in Miami. The overall food quality in this establishment seems to go down. We had a very disappointing experience compared to 2 years ago. Burgers quality was barely acceptable: very average taste with bottom bun dissolving from being soaked with all the meat grease. The milkshakes were also very disappointing: no ice cream whatsoever. They used to give you the left over ice cream from the shake, now you can forget about it (possibly recycled for the next round).

The food was very great and the service was good. Was recommended to try out the place and it didn’t disappoint.

We ate well and the place was very nice, from the first day we wanted to visit it but I have to say that the service left a lot to be desired and even more so considering that they serve their own tip without you being able to modify it, in our case the Guy charged 18% for a service that did not deserve any tip.

I went in there for brunch the other day and I couldn't help but notice that the owner, Isabella (name I got from one worker) is extremely rude, and disorganized. Moreover she treats her staff horribly. The food was also extremely subpar. I would not recommend this establishment if you are looking to enjoy your time with friends and family.

I'm French, 4 of us came in total. The restaurant was very pretty and unusual. The service was perfect and the food was very good unfortunately a little expensive but the portions are very large, as I am a big eater I finished my dish with great difficulty. While waiting for our dishes we noticed that a match was being played on TV so we asked to change tables to be better placed as previously mentioned, perfect service.

Diners are a dying art in America. This iconic style of eatery known for long hours, vast menus of cheap greasy eats and decadent deserts can be found in every major city, but most of the ones to survive today are notable. This establishment in Miami Beach is most certainly not. They fail all the basic diner qualities and succumb to the local pressure to overcharge for bland food. The service was decent, but that’s not enough. As if being subpar wasn’t bad enough, I think we got food poisoning from our meal.

Jaime was an awesome server. Super nice and welcoming. The food was so delicious. Will be back next time!

Quintessential diner, great breakfast options and good, strong coffee.

The only reason why I didn't give it a one star was because the waiters there were super super kind and helpful. You are charged for everything and it is outrageous. The prices on these food compared to the quality of what you're getting. They have a "side" that is already with your meal, but yet you can "upsize" your side and the normal side that would normally come with it at any other restaurant and be charged a whole bunch more. I had a sandwich inside of plantains for almost 30 bucks and a glass of water with it.

The ambience is what you would imagine in a diner, the milkshakes are very tasty, whether with or without alcohol. We all had burgers 🍔 and they were really tasty 😋.

I came here and ate three times on my trip already. Their food is so good; you can't go wrong with anything. My server's name was Eine, and he was great every time. Mark, the manager, was also so nice. The folks here are so nice and sweet. Whoever that cook is in the back, Lord, he should be getting tips also, lol. I'm on my way back there to eat. I've tried other spots they had good food; however, none compare to this spot.

Very nice diner, good food but very high prices.

My experience was A DISASTER, my waiter whose name I don't know (why he didn't even introduce himself) treated us very poorly. First of all, my partner is lactose intolerant, so we asked him for a smoothie and we asked him if the milk was cow's milk or if he had another type of milk (for example, almond milk) in a VERY bad way and with a bad attitude. He told us NO, that he only had beef, so my partner proceeded to not ask for anything to drink other than water. The next little while I asked one of the bussers, who was very kind by the way, if they had another type of milk and he told me YES, THEY HAD ALMOND MILK. Which this generated a lot of IMPOTENCE in me. Not only that, but when he came to pick up the menus I look at my partner and shake my head and indicate that I will give him the menu. I'm rude, I've never had such bad service, how is the truth? I'm not one to make this type of reviews, but I found this situation in very bad taste, I will NEVER return to this place AGAIN. 11th street Dinner, I want to say that this has been my second Time visiting you, Waitress and servers because without you no one would be on Top. The food Quality you have provided me with today Has been again delightful & Enjoyable. I wish to visit again on my next trip. Fav: Breakfast Burrito Bacon Egg & cheese Wrap. Second: French Toast With Fruits. They will tell you with Honesty of how everything is made Example: The Orange Juice is not fresh but still amazing taste. Definitely will return.

Finally a decent meal in South Beach! Quality, quantity and price were all perfect unlike the pretentious tourist traps in the area. Definitely recommend this diner for any time of the day, but especially breakfast.
